Visited New Paltz for the weekend with my partner and we were so happy we stumbled into this place. The owners/bartender were extremely nice, entertaining, knowledgeable and patient. The drinks were amazing and the rum selection was vast. The food also hit the spot and the vibes were dope. We were so happy to find a tiki bar/hidden gem in this area. Please go check it out. We will be back in the near future :)
Loved Fuchsia Tiki Bar!I want to start out by explaining that we live about 2 hrs away from New Paltz. Tom & I decided to make a weekend trip of it just to check out Fuchsia Tiki Bar. And what a great decision that was!!We got there right before 2pm (pending time) because Tom likes to sit at the bar. In short, we had a fabulous time.Anton was so nice, some interesting conversation was had for sure.The decor is on point for a tiki bar, the whole vibe is relaxed, just a great hang.I cant say enough about the cocktails & food.The dumplings, sushi & example were amazing.The cocktails were outstanding. Just to mention a few...the outcast island (probably my favorite), song of the siren, lost in the tropics, Mai Tai, there wasnt one that we didnt enjoy. And the marshmallows are a great touch!We ended up leaving because we had dinner reservations (which was so disappointing) but will forgo that on future trips because the food we had at Fuchsia was better by far than where we had reservations.So, needless to say, we will be back & would highly recommend checking out Fuchsia if you are a Tiki fan.
The decor and the vibe: immaculate.The cocktails: amazing.The food: fantastic.Well (obviously) be back as often as we can!
A little oasis serving fantastic tiki classics and deliciously creative original cocktails. This is not a tiki bar that cuts corners with its quality of ingredients and attention to detail, well worth a trip.
Great atmosphere and great food/drink. The guys who run the place are super friendly.Definitely the scallion pancakes and vegetable rolls if you’re getting into their XXX cocktails. Sashimi was beautiful.

Amazing drinks. Very extensive cocktail menu. The best sushi and chicken wings we had in a while. Great date spot with lots if privacy at the bar.
The bartenders at this bar were super friendly and made the absolutely best drinks Ive had in forever. My friend and I visited here and were made to feel completely at home we had a great time. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this lovely find to our friends
I wasnt actually at the Tiki bar, but Asian Fusion. Asian Fusion, however, has great Chinese food and friendly staff. Its becoming a place we frequent more and more; the other Chinese restaurants in the area just dont compare. My wife is crazy about the scallion pancakes.
Absolutely fantastic. All the creativity of tiki and avoids simply following the classics, I feel I found a few new favorites! My only complaint is that I’ve lived in New Paltz for so long only to move before this place opened. Highly recommend.

Driving thru New Paltz and got hungry. We saw Fuschia and decided to eat there. IT WAS SO GOOD!!!! The crab rangoon was creamy and delicious. One of the best I have ever had . We both had hot and sour soup as it was a coolish day and we sat outside. Again, excellent! Our main course was a 10 piece sushi platter with our choice of a roll with that . We chose the New Paltz roll cause it was different for us . Very good also and only $24.95. Only drawback was no available dessert .
Great drinks and great atmosphere. What more can you ask for from a bar. Roasting marshmallows over your drink is just icing on the cake if you already didn’t see from the other reviews. Also f that guy who said they serve terrible vodka sodas. (They don’t even serve vodka)
Take it from a tiki guy, Fuchsia is an amazing bar. It’s rare that you run into bartenders who can “talk tiki” and make some amazing classic and modern takes on tiki drinks. Fuchsia is all that. Anton started me with a classic 1944 Mai Tai that was spot on. The balance of three rums with the right balance of agricole, a house-made orgeat and balanced ingredients sent me into paradise on the first sip. Second, I tried Anton’s Monkey Man, a balanced tiki with complex ingredients including (of course) banana. I ended with a clarified Zombie, which had been mixed and aged for two months prior to the clarification process. All that and great Asian fusion food as well and a cool neighborhood bar vibe. So - don’t miss this spot. It’s a destination tiki bar … treat it with the love it deserves! Go!
If you want to enjoy the experience of having a drink, this bar is the place. Where else can you toast a marshmallow on top of your adult beverage? The staff was friendly, and the bar decor gives you a lot to look at.
Best tiki bar this side of the Hudson, and the only bar near New Paltz I can ask for a dealers choice and trust that Ill get something delicious!

Everything you could hope for from a modern tiki bar: well-mixed drinks, cheeky names, great glassware, and a fun staff! They know their stuff.The ingredients were fresh, and all of the syrups and juices were house-made.And to top it all off, the little bit of food we got was very reasonably priced and quite delicious. I would happily return.
I feel like I am instantly transported into a hidden secret paradise every time I walk into this place! The vibes are amazing, totally unique and unlike anything else in the area. Not only are the food and the drinks delicious, but the presentation makes the whole experience a 10/10. It’s so awesome to have a place like this in New Paltz, a must stop on your journey through town!
Had a great time here this past weekend!! My boyfriend and I are obsessed with tiki bars so we were so happy to find this spot on our Catskills vacation! The decor is really authentically done, the drinks were delicious (loved the fun mugs they came in) and the food was next level!!! The owners were super nice and even gave us a little list of other spots to try in the area. Great people and great bar. We’ll be making this place a must everytime we’re in the area!
This place was so nice! The venue is a little small but very comfy. The bathroom smells great and clean. The sushi and drinks are great too! The Host/Server was very nice, however, the place is understaffed. Food and drinks did take quite awhile to get to us. If you do not have patience, do not come here.
A local gem! One of the places I always take friends who are visiting from out of town, and now they specifically request it whenever they stay with us. Anton is always generous in sharing his wealth of knowledge about rum and tiki history, or making a spot-on recommendation. We’ve tried every drink on the menu, and they’ve each been delicious and a work of art! An absolute must when in New Paltz!

The owner (Anton) is such a down to earth dude & is a true master of his craft.If you are not a rum drinker (such as myself) dont let that turn you away! Anton will gauge your palate & turn you into one by the end of the night! I tasted & enjoyed various rums from all over the world (they have 170+ on the shelves)!The amount of knowledge/passion this man has really shines & the night was a fun learning experience for both my girlfriend & myself.The overall experience was so good, we actually went back the following day to eat there again (yes, Im serious).I cant stress enough how great of a time we had this weekend & look forward to going back as soon as possible! Keep up the great work everyone!

Amazing drinks in a fun atmosphere. And the owners are awesome too. Does it get any better? I’ve never been to a tiki bar that makes you feel like a regular (and has regulars), but the owners manage to do it here. Go get yourself a fun drink and pretend you’re on an island.
Fantastic classic tiki cocktails along with innovative contemporary ones prepared the way they should be in an amazing collection of tiki mugs and in an awesomely decorated cozy spot on the lower level.

Adorable theme tiki bar right in New Paltz and unlike any place around! Asian Fusion did a great job revamping the place- drinks were both adorable and delicious! (Plus the bartender can set just about any of them on fire, which is a plus in my book)! Each cocktail is paired with its own tiki-styled glass and matches the fun decor of the bar. A limited menu is offered from the upstairs restaurant, but the bartender assured us we could get anything off the Asian Fusion menu if we had a special request. Bar tender was very attentive and gave great service! We’ll definitely be back!
Fuschia Tiki Bar is one of the best bars weve been to. Amazing craft cocktails made by bartenders who, it is obvious, take their craft seriously. Anton and Brandon serve up great conversation with the delicious food and drink and make an already enjoyable experience even better. Highly recommend this bar for the food, drink, great service, and super friendly staff.

Very cool and authentic tiki bar. A little hidden off of the main street under an asian restaurant. The staff is cool and friendly and the cocktails very good and severed in different tiki-style mugs. Definitely recommendable. A reservation maybe could be needed, especially on weekends, because its a small bar with limited seating options.
No surprise this place has 5 stars! The drinks were amazing and the bartender makes the garnishes and infused liquors himself! The sushi was incredible too.

Great tiki bar. Owner is a real tiki aficionado. Every drink I tried was excellent and the crab rangoons were on point.
The vibe here is relaxing and warm. The staff here is so friendly. And above all, the drinks here are so good. My girlfriend and I came to New Paltz for a weekend getaway, and Fuschia was so good we went there twice. Once after a day of hiking, and a second time as a final drink before going home... which turned into a final four drinks and sushi. I cant recommend this place enough. If youre in New Paltz, go to Fuchsia Tiki Bar. You will not regret it.

This is one of, if not the best tiki bars I have ever been in.I have traveled the US and been to great tiki bars from NYC to LA and many spots in between, and sadly many of them are now defunct.This one is alive and thriving. 2022-04-17Had heard a lot about Fuchsia and wanted to check it out, so glad I did! The drinks were amazing - perfect mix of unique, delicious ingredients,...and the owner Anton was very fun and entertaining. The atmosphere is super cool, truly one of the prettiest little bars I have ever been in! Sushi was super good too. This place is a must for out-of-town visitors and locals who want to feel like they are on vacation! Ill be back for sure!

2022-02-20Had an amazing evening! Drinks are tasty (and strong!) and we had dinner by having almost every appetizer on the menu and it was all delicious. Left full and tipsy! Would definitely come back! The staff was also very friendly and helped us with recommendations.

2022-03-04EDIT: Really cute tiki bar! Glad I found it!!! Drinks were yummy and fresh. The non-alcoholic drink we ordered (on the left) had great ingredients but there was SO MUCH ice and not enough drink....so for the non-alcoholic drinks be sure to ask for less ice.

Amazing sushi to go with your amazing drinks 🤣 I mean have you ever roasted a marshmallow on your cocktail! Come here you won’t be disappointed unless you like vodka then find another bar!

2021-09-23Absolutely LOVE this place!!! Best avocado-cucumber sushi Ive ever had. The scallion pancakes are delicious with the yummy ginger sauce. All of the drinks are amazing and unique! Love the ambiance and decor. All of the bartenders are so friendly and great. The owner himself is so knowledgeable and enjoyable to speak with. Definitely recommend this tiki bar to everyone! Well worth the visit. Been here multiple times and plan to come back many more!

2021-07-02What a great little place! Great atmosphere. The bartender/owner was kind, professional, knowledgeable and entertaining. Drinks were super creative. My personal favorite was the Outcast Island. Sushi was delicious. We had a blast! Definitely would recommend to others.

2022-06-27Dont go to New Paltz and pass this place up! A tiki bar in the Hudson Valley? Yes you heard right! Who knew youd find a tropical escape in this area? The decor will transport you to a shipwreck on a deserted island and the drinks will make you never want to leave when the rescue ship shows up! These arent some kind of frozen boat drinks either, the menu has craft cocktails that tiki nerds can appreciate and are also approachable to any new comer. Oh and I cant forget that the food they have is delicious as well. If I lived here it would be my regular spot.
