They did a very nice renovation to this station and there are a large number of places for you to dine at. Its like a food court at the mall. What I dont like about the station is the subway sign directions they are confusing and will have you walking around in circles before you find out where you want to go.
Great renovation took place. Very nice atmosphere. Transfer between (A)(C)(J)(Z)(2)(3)(4)(5) trains. The only drawback is that all transfers require using the (A)(C) platform. Its a narrow platform making it crowded during rush hours. I think its funny how people who are unfamiliar with the layout always end up on the Broad Street platform of the (J)(Z) when they are looking for Jamaica Center.
Literally in my opinion, the SINGLE most important and easily the most traveled through train station in the Metropolitan Transportation Assosiations history of servicing New York City area with train and bus public transportation services. With connections to the A, C, J, Z, 2, 3, 4, 5, and R trains. This is possible the most used and transfer centric center in lower Manhattan and New York City as a hole. Could also transfer here to the NJ Path Train to Jersey City
Nice station but security is a joke.Basically a homeless paradise.Homeless and mentally unstable ppl run amok, security couldnt seem to care less.Tourists come in to go to Shake Shack and look terrified as homeless ppl do whatever they want. Surprised businesses in the station dont demand a more relaxed/safe atmosphere.Too scared to return 😧😬
I like the way that they built this subway station. Its very big and also has restaurants where you can eat. Im not sure if there are any restrooms. You can also cool off here in the Summer because they have the AC on. You can usually see folks sitting along the windows and just chillin. They also have security guards keeping watch. What I do not like is a number of homeless or folks with clear mental issues using this place, to roam and hang out. They will usually come and sit near folks who are sitting by the windows trying to eat their food or just resting their legs for a moment. You need to be aware because when you are not watching they are WATCHING you! These days you have to be so careful. They have a Shake Shack restaurant on the top level of this station. Its usually crowded. There is plenty of seating. Prices of their food are expensive, but folks do not seem to mind. I only buy fries there once in a while. The fries aew just okay. Nothing spectacular about them. I prefer Narhans fries much better. I eat junk food only ONE in a while and when I do it tastes sooooooooo good!
This is the Hub of Hubs in the New York City Subway system. Sure more money was dumped into World Trade Center portion ($4 billion), but 1.4 billion dollars is nothing to sneeze at either. They are both connected in some labyrinthine way that I cant figure out, but Fulton Center is right at the epicenter of all 11 subway lines: 2-3-4-5-A-C-J-Z-N-R-W.The hub is the long awaited connection of what used to be three independently owned subway systems: IRT - Inter-borough Rapid Transit, IND - Independent Subway, BMT - Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit. Since they were privately owned, its an of course that they didnt design free transfers between their competitors. This created a logistical mess when all the lines were taken over by the municipal government. They tried their best but the platform signage still leaves a lot to be desired.Heres where else I get confused.... The Fulton Center oculus is not THE Oculus. Its round, it lets in sunlight, but its called the Sky Reflector-Net, whereas The Oculus is that $4 billion dead whale bone monstrosity with majority of the shopping. Go figure. Theres a few shops in the Fulton Center, the most notable is the Shake Shack, so its not really a shopping destination. But with the ledge by the window wall on the first floor, it has a hell of a lot more impromptu seating than the wide open dead whale carcass.I brought some tourist friends of mine here for a quick look-see. The cops at the turnstiles let us out and back in without paying the fare again, but thats not usual. At. All. But theres not much to see anyway. I was grasping at straws with what little time I had.The Fulton Center is worth every dime in the long run and a very welcome addition to our city.
Fulton st and path together very big station. Hard to find transfer for the people who are not usual to different sign and directions. A C 2 3 4 5 Z J and many trains to many destination. Different kind of people represent the diversity of New York. All busy people are going somewhre.
Beautiful station with the most counterintuitive MTA signs youll find in NYC. To find the Jamaica JZ train, ignore all signs and stairwells (they lead you in literal circles) and go straight to the end of the strip with all the stairwells leading downstairs to AC trains. To find the Broad St JZ, dont. It is literally a myth and I have successfully found it once by mistake. You can get there faster walking, promise.
Fulton St. Station Dunkin Doughnuts:I ordered an everything bagel, toasted twice with Vegetable Cream Cheese. The bagel was stale and not toasted at all. The Cream Chese was like none I had seen before. watery, tasteless, dripping from the horrible $3 bagel. The coffee was fine. If you would like to start your day off with a problem, this is your place!
Trying to find your train in this station will make you feel like a character in 2014 dystopian teen movie The Maze Runner. You must go up and down many flights of stairs in different places from different tracks and avoid being fooled by confusing signs. The worst is trying to find the Jamaica JZ. Ive never been successful, I think its just an urban legend and it doesnt actually exist.

One of the smartest New York subway stations. Fresh enough and closest to the World Trade Center! Inside it is warm and comfortable. Huge squares. Ramps, elevators and escalators. Lots of cafes. Prices are certainly not cheap. Homeless people are warming themselves. There is air conditioning inside and there are several free Wi-Fi networks. You can sit by the window.

* Its my favorite Subway in NY. Beauti!Always expect the NY Subway to be the most modern. They are not comparing them with Europe. Although this season is! But if they have WiFi service in all areas that makes it exceptional! Thank you. Understand how it is handled. It is a challenge but understanding the connections you can get to handle yourself excellent !. With your metrocard you can really move better than with a taxi

2018-05-10Fulton Street is a New York City Subway station complex in Lower Manhattan. It consists of four linked stations on the IND Eighth Avenue Line, the IRT Lexington Avenue Line, the BMT Nassau Street Line and the IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line. The last three cross Fulton Street at Broadway, Nassau Street, and William Street respectively; the Eighth Avenue Line station is underneath Fulton Street, between Broadway and Nassau Streets. The station is the seventh busiest in the system, as of 2016, with 25,162,937 passengers. The complex is served by the:4, A, and J trains at all times2 train on weekdays3 train at all times except late nights and weekends5 train at all times except late nights on weekdaysC train at all times except late nightsZ train during rush hours in the peak directionThe Fulton Center is a renovation project that improves access throughout the station complex, introduces a new station building, and provides easier access to the World Trade Center site. It links the Fulton Street subway station with the nearby Cortlandt Street and Chambers Street/World Trade Center stations (the latter one stop north on the A, C, 2 and 3 trains) and the World Trade Center Transportation Hub through the out-of-fare control Dey Street Passageway. The Fulton Center opened on November 10, 2014Artwork: Marine Grill Murals, 1913 (Fred Dana Marsh)Location: Fulton Street (Broadway-Nassau) · Installed: 2000The 1913 Marine Grill murals by Frederick Dana Marsh, now installed in the Fulton/Broadway/Nassau complex, were originally in a basement restaurant of the McAlpin Hotel on Herald Square. The developer converting the hotel to condos agreed at the last minute to preserve them. While the workers managed to remove most of the ceramic tiles without breaking them, they simply piled them at random in two dozen crates. MTA Arts for Transit had the crates delivered to a TA bus garage with some free floorspace, and a group of college interns spent their summer playing jigsaw puzzle! They were reinstalled at Broadway/Nassau in 2000. (Thanks to Harry Matthews for the info.)

2017-07-12Great place too see especially for a train station. Great billboards & colors & architecture but the security was really mean to me when I tried to take pictures. (He said that I cant sit on the floor he didnt say pictures wasnt allowed or anything like that) and it took me like a minute or two to just take a couple of shots and leave.

2019-02-18The renovations to Fulton Center are beautiful. I just found out that it connects to the World Trade Center and Westfield. There are now shops here like Dunkin Donuts, Shake Shack, and Chic Fil A. Plus there are connections to nearly all the train lines.

2019-11-02Transferred from the uptown A train to the 5 train uptown and the signs are very poorly written and confusing. Im sure its a wonderful mall, but it sucks as a train station.

2019-01-08Applaud the much needed and anticipated overhauling of a dilapidated yet popular station. Nice array of coffee shops in addition to brunch type selections. Only gripe is that theres not too many healthy options. Its also worth noting the connections to many other stations and transit hubs like the PATH for instance. Its mainly underground so if facing inclement weather, you can just simply travel through the underground well lit and heated tunnels. Signs are pretty direct and helpful. Lastly, if youre fairly new to this place, finding the right subway can be a bit challenging. Get ready for a cardio session because theres going to be lots to walking, stair climbing, hurdles, hoops, and looking around before youre where you need to be.

2021-07-17I love this station! Clean and organized. Police presence, hell even a place to buy cupcakes and sanitary facilities to urinate in. Grand concourse could learn a thing or two from this station.

2021-02-02Old school beauty meets modern conveniences here at this transit hub that has been expanded with a modern shopping center. You can grab a cup of coffee in the middle of commuting. Ive always felt safe here even amongst people people who are selling stuff or the skater kids whole like to hang around the facility.
