My experience with Sam was nothing short of positively amazing! We were desperate to have my husbands childhood kitchen dining room chairs restored and reupholstered. They are very sentimental pieces so it was of the utmost importance to find someone who would lovingly bring them back to life. To say Sam was a dream come true, would simply be an understatement. I met him for the first time and he exuded such genuine warmth, integrity and undeniable knowledge. Throughout the process of restoration, he sent me daily updates and pictures of his progress. It was clear how much he enjoys his craft as his updates always conveyed such optimism and excitement. In this day and age, it is quite uncommon to meet someone who takes such pride in their work but Sam is by all means the exception. He put his heart and soul into perfecting these chairs and when he finally presented them to us, my smile could not be bigger. The attention to detail was impeccable! Hi He went above and beyond in every way and if I could give him a million stars I would. Do not hesitate to leave your treasures in his hands as you won’t find a better person to handle them with such love and care!

More than 200 year old chiairs..perfectly correctly restored .. even used reclaimed tacks to maintain the integrity of the pieces with the restoration from the scratch. Horse hair and German spring coils..were reveled when worn material was removed.

Sam is amazing! I was referred to Sam by a friend because I had two sentimental pieces of furniture which needed repairing and restoration. My father had a very special coffee table made out of a Spanish door that had been in my family since I was a child, along with an antique secretary desk, also in my family for many years. Both had been damaged and were in disrepair. Sam not only beautifully and lovingly repaired the secretary desk, he improved it so that it could be functional to hold the weight of my laptop computer. I can now write at the desk that had been in my family for so many years. The coffee table was huge, extremely heavy and the legs had broken off. Since I am a woman and I didnt have the space for such a large piece, Sam lovingly redesigned the table, decreasing its size, weight and height, yet keeping the most important elements of the Spanish door which it had originally been. It turned out to be perfect for me, and I have a new piece of furniture which carries on the integrity of my fathers original coffee table which I have known since my youth. I highly recommend Sam for all of your furniture and antique needs. He is extremely skilled, dedicated and he honestly cares deeply about each piece. I have known Sam for several years. My wife and I wandered into his shop after purchasing our new home. We found so many beautiful things to furnish our house: Desks, tables, Lamps, crystal dishes, candelabras, a Grandfather clock, etc. We also found some beautiful personal Items, like opera glasses and watches. He as very knowledgeable and also a master at restoration. He is very nice and trustworthy. We feel like he is a member of our family and someone we can trust. Dont hesitate to do business with him. Visit his shop again and again as he always has something enchanting to see. I recommend him and his shop without hesitation.

My wife has Parkinsons and we needed to add arms to one of our dining room chairs so she could use it more comfortably. Our daughter found Sam online and we were so happy that she did! The chair looks beautiful, the arms look like they were always there, and the finish is a great match for the rest of the set. Now my wife can get in and out of the chair safely. Sam did a wonderful job and we are so happy with the results! We would highly recommend his services to anyone who needs furniture repaired or restored.

Sam sold me a beautiful magnifying glass with a mother of pearl handle for my former employer back in 2014, I think ...maybe early 2015! Funny ... I was just reminiscing about that Monday night, and mentioned his shop, and the story of my purchase to my housemate, who had just returned from a trek to Long Island - - - then his card turned up today as I was going through a handbag. I had said to her that he was just the kindest man, and his shop was so charming. Id love to go back. So I looked it up to see if he is still open, despite COVID! Thank goodness, it appears that he is. I would recommend that anyone bring their business to this wonderful and worthy proprietor! Thank you, Sam!

The owner has personally repaired over 15 of my antique clocks in the last few years. He has amazing professionalism and ethics in every project he takes on for me. As a clock collector, he is the only person I now trust to touch any of my clocks. After the time I have invested with him, I would not trust anyone else. When others said they could not fix what I bought, he found the magic to fix it.As you can see I am a grateful customer. Sam is very knowledgeable about antiques and enjoys sharing this knowledge with his customers. His collection is one of the most beautiful and original I have ever seen. We have bought several chandeliers, tables, and art objects from his store. They are exquisite, unique pieces! In addition, his prices are very reasonable. We are very happy with our purchases.
