Excellent food! We got chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan and lasagna balls for takeout for our first visit to Pizza Union. It was a very nicely decorated place. Everybody was very nice and the food was extra HOT. Everything was awesome, greatest chicken parmesan Ive had in a while around this area!
We needed a late dinner and found the perfect place. The bread w olive oil and olive w garlic was perfect touch. I had Tortellini Alfredo and my fiance had Chicken Valdostana. Both dishes were delicious and more than enough. The chicken was cooked to perfect consistency and not chewy. Definitely returning to try other dishes. The have a bar area which had many patrons. So a great and dinner and some drinks this is the spot. The waitstaff was extremely pleasant.
My husband and I went there for the first time last night we had a Caesar salad then I had the Caprice salad and he had a shredded pork appetizer. Then after we had tiramisu and amazing espresso martinis made by Christina who was also a waitress. She was friendly knowledgeable and made our dining experience Even better than it already was. The food was awesome as was the general ambience we will definitely be going back and bringing friends
Tried this place for the first time since moving up here. Went in on Tuesday, Came in for the pizza. We were looking for a place to eat we Saw the pizza sign from the road so we pulled in with the family. Nice place nice staff, we had a regular cheese pizza and a mushroom pizza. The pizza was amazing, and the pizza sauce was incredible it had a hint of oregano just like i remember in Italy when i used to live there. The crust was light airy crispy and thin. Most places now a days its a big chewy mess, thats not pizza. We want pizza!! not cheesy bread, this place has real pizzawe will definitely be back. Finally real pizza!! Like i remember when i lived in Italy!!
A unique pizza and Italian shop. Try the fried calamari was excellent. The pizza is very different with a varied selection of toppings. The kids and grandkids loved it. Me,,,Eeeh..it was okay, but to me, not great. A pitcher of Sangria was excellent and a good bargain. Service was excellent and food did arrive hot.
Just passing through Newburgh and stopped here. Service wasnt the greatest but in defense I dont think the person waiting on us was a waitress but more a hostess. The salads were big and fresh (not iceberg but mixed greens)The Pizza was a pleasant surprise. A unique looking and tasting pie and in a sea of same old this was very enjoyable. Prices were on the mark and the place was clean. We will stop there again when passing through the area.5 stars and a MUST try.
This is an update original review attached belowAs I mentioned in my last review below the pizzas at the beginning of the week are fantastic VS middle to end of the week. it did not disappoint. u2028u2028Our family in Newburgh that we visit every week belongs to a private covid charity group of about 30 or 40 people. They help out people who have been effected by covid, Monday morning they had their monthly meeting. apparently my review was circulated in the group that day. you may of had some new customers the last couple of days. as per my last review, hopefully you can fix these areas that need fixing and eliminate the problems or re-train or replace. i own multiple hair salons owning any business is tough, wish you well. hopefully ordering next Tuesday again, will be ordering take out on Saturday from the kitchenOriginal review….Its good great place BUT!!depends on Whichever day you goIll explain, i currently live in nj i have family in Newburgh on center street less than a mile from pizza union. Were here every week on Tuesdays to visit the kids.We love going to pizza union, unfortunately its hit or miss if you go at the end of the week the kitchen menu is better , if you go at the beginning of the week you get a better tasting pizza thats cooked properly. Since we mostly get pizza we now visit our family on Tuesdays, so this way when we visit we get the better pizza pie.We went on a Friday three times, the in the jar salad perfect every time, garlic knot sliders a delight, Milanese not bad a little dry its missing something but its good. Now if we get these items on a Monday not exactly the same the quality isnt there as it is on Friday. If you want good kitchen go end of the week, and hopefully you wont get that pushy bartender lady trying to upsell everything like a car salesman, you look at your bill and realized she forgot to mention all her suggestions cost a million dollars, ya I dont think so. tip hungry much?? We know people that stopped going because of her. To avoid that person sit away from the bar on the weekendsNow for the pizza which is the main reason we come here, do not I repeat do not go middle or end of week. Its totally different 180 degrees. Its weak quality soggy under cooked and burnt at the same time probably inexperienced workers. The sauce is like a thick paste that makes everything doughey and mush!! Just horrible its like a flavor you can find at any pizzeria boring and too sweet. We go Tuesdays now instead its like a night and day difference, because its cooked perfectly and the flavor is sooooo much better, its a true new york pizza its something different but something familiar from your childhood. it just takes me back. What ever your doing Tuesdays do it the rest of the week pleaseeee!!!!, last Tuesdays pie tasted like the ones i had when i went to Venice italy just amazing, now fridays pizza tasted like garbage there was just no heart put into it, the pie arrived at our table and it looked like it was dead thats the only way i can describe it. I think its bc they have different people working, you would think they would keep the same people in the kitchen and making the pizza. Or atleast teach them the same wayWere going again this Tuesday hopefully the same pizza man is there otherwise were walking right out. So dinner items order them end of the week and pizza beginning of the week. From what my cousin tells me who lives there, were not the only ones who noticed this. I wonder how many people know and dont say anything, Sorry to the owner just trying to help and let them know. To everyone on here Enjoy it they have great service great people everyone is very nice but unfortunately we will only go on select days because of a complete difference in quality of food from different times in the week. Youll see Go and see for yourselves
Delicious authentic Italian food and flavors!!! I had the pasta it was well Prepared PERFECTLY! no canned ingredients that I could taste and EVERYTHING was FRESH!!! Exactly what I expected when I went to have lunch there!!! my server was very pleasant and nice! My daughter LOVED the food and shes a picky eater. We be back soon!!!!
Very impressed with this place! Came here after a hike with a group of 6 people and we shared a bunch of apps and pizzas! My favorite was the mac & cheese balls!! Honestly, Pizza Union is such a great place for a group of friends to dine because the prices are so reasonable and the portion sizes are great! We ordered 4 apps, many beers, two pizzas and an eggplant parm and it only wound up costing us 20 bucks a person! Incredible! Oh and our server was awesome too.
The pizza is delicious I always enjoy it and mix it up to try different things. The stromboli is a bit small for my liking however its full of flavor, perfect dough, delicious sauce. The staff is very welcoming, friendly, and certainly make you feel appreciated for the business you brought them. Any pizza lovers you should come here and enjoy the greatness Master has to offer.
The pizza and salad was delicious as always. Now the service on the other hand... I felt super rushed by the waitress as if I was disturbing her from her down time, my whole family recognized this also. The place was an icebox. Now, i would be remissed if i didnt say the waitress WAS polite and we did receive our food in a timely fashion.
The place blew my mind, its that good. Ive been here three time, each time tried something new and each time it was amazing. Yeah, its over priced, fancy pizza, but it actually pretty reasonable. Two pies plus appetizers stuffed 4 and were eaters. The waiter has been the same guy every time and hes the best. Very accommodating and had a great sense of humour. Give them a try.
Weve been there twice . The service seemed fine both times and the food very good. The calamari was very good but with an odd tasting dipping sauce. The pizza dough is a meal by itd self. Not the usual card board taste. The crust has a very nice flavor. Being able to add the oil is a nice touch too.
Ordered Gluten Free Fusilli Massimo which I’ve ordered plenty of times before. They charged me $24 for the $18 dish and not only was it overpriced this time, the Gluten-free Pasta was under cooked. When I called I was not offer any explanation as to why. I will never ever order from Pizza Union Ever again. It used to be one of my go to places for Gluten-free options. Not anymore.
Great food and excellent service. We always enjoy coming in as we know how this food should taste and it meets our expectations every time.. also Kids friendly. During our last visit the owner was very kind and generous with deserts on the house (also super tasty). I highly recommend it!!! 👍
My family had a great experience at this restaurant. It was before the grand opening and we felt the service was friendly, patient and quick. We went with 2 young children and they had fun with the creative menu glasses. The pizzas we ordered were delicious and the decor was perfect. We are excited to have a new “go to” place for our family.
Its not a pizza place, and its not trying to be. But with pizza in the name, I thought it would be. Its a restaurant. The food was good. Tasty and unique pizza choices. Service was very good. Nice atmosphere, although its stuck between a pizza palor and restaurant. Nice looking bar, so it may be a good after work place for cocktails and get a nibble. The problem I had are the portions. Just too much. They dont sell pizza by the slice, or large pizzas. They have personal pizzas. But they are too big. Easily sharable between two people, but with all the different gourmet choices, I feel most people wouldnt split such eclectic options. They could charge a 1/4 less and give me a 1/3 less pizza and I wouldnt complain. We, as a family of four with an additional child guest, took home fully half of our food. Maybe my expectations, with the reputation of the owner going in, were too high, The food was good, not great, but I wont be going back.
This is definitely one of the best pizza places in the area. They also have a good selection of entrees and appetizers. One of my favorite pies is the brick oven Starry Hope, delicious! The lasagna ball appetizer is very good also. Interesting selection of cocktails and good beers. All this with a friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Overall, highly recommended!
Its a nice to go for a quick bite, I like it. This place is clearly one of the most attractive restaurants in the area. Whenever I visit this place I am highly pleased. They hold their high level service and the highest level of food they offer. You surely will enjoy this restaurant. Warmly recommended!!
We went for dinner a few nights ago. The food was very good but our waitress was horrible!!! She took our order after waiting quite a while and brought our food. When she took our order we told her we were celebrating a birthday. We also told her what we were ordering, but might order more depending how full we were. She never came back over after she brought our food. I finally waived her over and she just slams our check on the table and walks away. I couldn’t even get her attention to tell her we wanted to order coffee and dessert. When she came back over, she appeared annoyed. We asked for a dessert menu and she rattled off the desserts so fast, we only heard the first 2. Then someone at the table asked for Baileys Irish Cream. She walked away to go find out if the had it. She didn’t come back until at least 10 mins later. One person ordered coffee and another after dinner drink. She walked away AGAIN. Someone yelled they wanted coffee too. STILL never asked for our dessert order! Finally after bringing coffee and after dinner drinks we asked her to name the desserts again. We also asked for cream for the coffee because she had brought us milk. She walked away and said we only have milk. Meanwhile we asked another employee there if they had heavy cream they could add to milk and they did! We would have asked her except she walked away so rude and fast we couldn’t get a word in. I have not had a waitress so cold and rude in many years! We love going here, but SO, SO very disappointed in the service!!
I tried this place for the first time and was impressed by the pizza I ordered. I was delicious and well made. Seating was comfortable, and the dessert selection was good too. The prices seem reasonable, though the service could use some work. But its been open for little over a month, so Id go again sometime. Recommended.
Great pizza, Roman pizza is unique and delicious. Cocktails are expensive but very good. Great service, can be a bit loud in the dining room but otherwise highly recommended. Our favorite pizza place. If you are looking for new and unique flavor combinations this is the place for you.
I’ve been looking forward to trying the place and stopped by about 9:30 on Saturday night. The staff was friendly and after looking over the menu and asking a couple of questions my friend and I ordered two pizzas. A few minutes after we ordered we were informed that there was no pizza dough. We decided to leave as we were looking forward to pizza. But Rich the manager caught up to us in the parking lot and asked us to order anything we like on him and was very apologetic. We went back in and had a great meal and experience. Rich and the sever Jayna went above and beyond to make up for running out of pizza dough. Rich managed to find some dough and offered us a pizza after we already started our entrees. We politely declined but he brought out a couple of slices for us to try and they were excellent.I will definitely return and I appreciate the staff going out of their way to make things right.
Great spicy wings and they have a pizza for any pizza lover, thick crust, thin crust, traditional toppings, and gourmet toppings. Great beer on tap and awesome high-end handmade cocktails. They also have many other Italian dishes to choose from if you dont want pizza. Staff is always friendly and attentive.
I went to have dinner with my family on Saturday January 16, 2021. As a fellow chef myself, I always understood and informed my FOH staff of any specials on the menu and if there are any limits to them. While informing them, it’s best to let them know of any menu items that may not be available so that may be instructed to any patrons that come in for service. Anyway, I ordered the ONLY steak dinner on the menu along with a few other items for my family. It wasn’t until 15 min later, our server comes to our table to inform us that the kitchen ran out of steak. This is a Saturday late afternoon (420-5pm) prior to any booming evening service and they are already out of steak? This caused me to make a quick menu decision in which always turns out sub par only because that set the tone for the rest of the evening. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. I write this just as a fellow foodie and just to make any suggestions. It’s very important that we communicate menus to our staff and have Pre service meetings to prevent issues like this from arising. Thank you.
CHECK EDIT: Awesome new concept for orange county! Food was flavorful and plentiful. Drinks were well poured and moderately priced. Hope this encourages other people to tank the plunge! Will be returning. EDIT: 1/12/19 Went back and saw there are flaws! So the food quality and seasoning is NOT consistent. Being a chef this is one of the things you MUST be fluent with. Cold fried Calamari? How?! Under seasoned salads...Really. Chef either needs to crack down on his/her cooks or look for a new career if you cant be consistent.
Excellent service! Friendly, server was quick to take our order and bring out our food. She also checked on us a few times to make sure were good. We had the mellow mushroom (thin with a light soft crunch) and truffle fries! Delish! Also, the bread was really good, we devoured it! We will be back to try the other pies :p Thank you!!
The pizza is FANTASTIC! I’ve been to Pizza Union 5 times. Each time it was the SAME problem. 10-12 staff/servers moving about not really doing anything. 1 staff/server attempting to get the order correct. Even if there are 2-3 patrons in the restaurant. Always issues w/ On-Line Ordering (the order is never received by the restaurant)... Bar Rescue needs to advise the owner on utilizing the staff/ ordering system. Once again the pizza IS FANTASTIC, when you can get it... I would advise you to skip Pizza Union and try Enoteca AMA in Beacon, NY... same concept, higher quality ingredients, until these issues are addressed.
Great place for a evening out. Whether you and your other half or the whole family. Pleasantly surprised it wasnt all pizza. My sister tried the lasagna balls, which were decently priced and tasteful. I ordered a ceasar salad and the Beast of Burden pizza. The salad definitely was for two people anf properly priced. The pizza was great, even though I didnt get a chance to enjoy it in the moment. Fresh ingredients all around and the service was great. Thanks Faith.
So this place opened and I found my favorite pizza there and I excused the slow service to them being new. As they established themselves the service never improved and the food got worse. In fact one time I was placed on hold for 30 minutes trying to order takeout to were I drive there an placed the order in person.Tonight was the final straw though, I called to place the order and was told 10-15 minutes (which I assumed was fast but fell for it) so I got there and boom, the food wasn’t ready. I ended up waiting 45 minutes to get the food which is crazy. I will never order or eat here again, done!!
The lunch menu is awesome. For $10 I got a medium pizza with a ton of toppings and after finishing that monster, I didnt even have room for dinner thay evening. The service was great and expedient. Great selection of beers and wines, and on mondays they have 50% off if you order wine by the bottle. I am def going to visit again soon.... maybe on a monday.
Absolutely some of the best pizza Ive ever had. Ive been to Pepes in New Haven and this is definitely in the same league! Chef is a super cool dude and went out of his way to remember my name! Anyone rating this place low clearly doesnt know what theyre talking about. For a soft opening theyre killing it!
I had the Juliet pizza and it was very good. Mike had grilled chicken salad and a side of sausage peppers. He was very happy with that. We had a penne a la vodka to go for Steven. Have to get back with review on taste, but for $17.00, it was very small, & I don’t have small men in my house. The couple next to us had to send their dinners back because it was cold. Menu not very extensive.
I am here now and I had to post while I am eating. The food is delicious and the staff (Anna) is very attentive. The appetizers were beautifully plated and tasted as good as they looked. The brick oven pizza is REAL...reminded me of Little Italy in NYC during my childhood. The crust...omg! I had the Luca Brasi and I was very pleased. The ambience is nice too. I will be back...this is my new go-to place. PS...the drinks are good too!
Went here for a dinner meeting. The atmosphere is relaxed, warm and inviting and the staff were friendly and accommodating. You can tell the food is made with care and high quality ingredients. The Roman Pepperoni pizza was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I had the penne alla vokda for my meal and it was delicious and hearty. Highly recommend this place for a great meal.
Slow service for the middle of the day, and there were only 2 other customers in there. Hostess failed to give a kids menu. The seats had crumbs on them. Now the food is way overpriced for what it is. They change $8 extra to add chicken to a dish. When I did get my pasta, it was drowning in the sauce, looked like soup. Taste was ok. Not going back wont reccomend.
Great food and atmosphere. Love their cocktails, especially the Beautiful Fool (Mmm... Gin!)A couple of things to be aware of: it can get loud in there, and sit away from the doors but the bar... especially when its cold out. They dont get used often, but I can only imagine the surprise one would get if they were!
Over priced and bland, got the chicken scarpariello the first time. It was sweet chicken and potatoes in a brown gravy.. must be the American version, I had 2 bites and spit them both out. Second time I had their white pizza. all I tasted was bread and oil, didnt even finish a slice. My roommate seems to think this is the best pizza in newburgh (because its expensive) but I think Little Cesars is above them on flavor
Unfortunately we didn’t even get to the food It looked good but we were in a rush and looking for something like some slices or a sandwich and likely won’t be going back. It is really a shame that people judge you on what you are wearing not knowing anything about you. We decided it wasn’t what we wanted at the moment but thought we would go back another night that is until we were walking away and heard that we shouldn’t expect slices at a high end place. I am a foodie and will drop $300 on a fantastic meal but won’t eat somewhere someone questions my ability to pay.
I think the place is very nice and the service and food is great. The one thing I was highly upset with and needs to be changed is the serving size on the dessert. We ordered a lava cake expecting a volcano and we received a small portion of cake with one scoop of ice cream for $10 WTH.
Whats happening here? Todays visit for dinner was disappointing, to say the least. We had to wait a pretty while for are dinners to come out, and the bread also took a long time, coming out with our dinner. That didnt sit well, as we were famished. I had a difficult time cutting my eggplant, and I kept on finding unchewable tidbits in it. When I asked for a little extra pasta, I was informed that it would be $8. When I received the bill, they upcharged me $2 without telling me, because I wanted angel hair instead of spaghetti. The servers here and the greeters are genuinely happy to see you, and are dedicated to good service. Not exactly sure whats going on with the gastronomical part of this establishment. It is usually the little things that start to add up, that ultimately lead to failure in the restaurant business.
Pizza union is a spacious restaurant and you certainly wont feel crowded when dining here.I expected a larger draft selection than just four beers, but at $4 drafts during happy hour, its a bargain. Our waiter Eddie was attentive and fast. The food was excellent. We ordered guacamole, baked ziti and a calzoncino. The guac was fresh and the chips were fried to the perfect level of crunchy. The calzoncino was absolutely phenomenal. The mild sweetness of the shell complimented the ricotta and mozzarella perfectly.Ill definitely be back, this happy hour was a good experience.
The first impression is the one that lasts so one guy on the floor and bar but he bussed the tables by putting his fingers in the glasses dropped a pen then picked up a drink cup left on the counter never washed his hands wiped them on a hand towel went into the kitchen pulled down his mask to converse with them came back to the bar then swept the floor still no hand washing cleaned the booth crumbs all over the floor . I give him props for hustling the whole spot but wash your hands continuously after each task that Restuarant 101 but in the days of Covid it’s mandatory procedures the food is good the service was good but sanitation not so much !!
First time here. It was a great experience all around. This place is very new and the atmosphere is great. The menu is very simple with some well selected items. Adult drinks are available -- with a bar you can sit and eat at.I had the finocchio salad which was manufactured exquisitely. We ordered the nonna romana which is a brick over pizza from the menu - the crust was perfect, taste was magnifico!! The bread plate came with 3 dipping sauce; pesto, blue cheese and marinara- which was also superb.Kind of surreal being in newburgh, but its well needed. Thanks for the great service and great food today!
So we live close by and wanted to try the new pizza place. We came here to order out.. NOT knowing that there is no pizza size. No small, medium or large pie size. We ordered a pie and its a personal pan size! When my husband came home with it I asked wheres rest of it. But i was extremely annoyed that not only did the young lady at the register not mention this lack of pizza size ,the pizza was $16.00 !!! Needless to say we are not coming back. Trying to be a fancy pizza place..not working.
The roman pizza is the way to go. I had a Roman pizza and it was *delicious.* I came up with a combo of toppings similar to one of their concoctions (unfortunately most include meat by default rather than adding meat if wanted). It was pricey, but did I mention delicious? My boyfriend got a brick oven pizza and it was not so impressive.
It was horrible! They put salad on top of my chicken Milanese and there was no pasta on the side or a vegetable on the side and it was $23.00 the chicken pieces were for a 5 year old to eat when I asked the waitress Why is there salad on top of my chicken? she said Because that is how u make chicken milanese . I replied well dear that is a first for me! She never offered to take it off the bill or bring something else . I dont care about the cost if the meal is decent I always give places second chances if I get a bad meal because they are trying to get the kinks out but no way does this place get a second chance from me . They need shades on the window the bright sun was bothering many of the customers eyes and many asked to change their seats
Terrible. Ordered take-out and was told 20 minutes left after 45 minutes. Got home with 2 cold pizzas and a chicken parmigiana that was raw on the middle. Called and they said to come back for a refund then the manager told me that next time they need the chicken as evidence. Dont worry, wont be a next time pal.
My husband ordered a beer on tap it didnt taste right after drinking some of it he got violently Ill. He told waitress so that they would not serve it to anyone else. The waitress said it was the bottom of the keg thats why it didnt taste right . Needless to say we will not be returning. And will pass the word about the horrible way we were treated. The food is over priced and mediocre.
Wanted to support the new local restaurant. Waited 20 minutes for a table. Ordered two items 30 minutes later ....no pizza. Waitess had an issue as the ceasar salad had vinaigrette dressing I wanted creamy ceasar..they were out and so was I. Over pricing, bad service, over crowded and no where to stand. Never again ..THEY ARE NOT READY..OH THEY SAID THIS IS THEIR SOFT OPENING. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.
A friend took me here last week for my birthday. We went for lunch. We ordered the following:The Tin - salad dumped out of an empty soup can on top of a plate of lettuce and sliced grape tomatoes. No salad dressing. We asked and received a vinegary/mayo concoction. We asked for another dressing and received a balsamic glaze??? Our server informed us that the dish is supposed to be served with 2 types of salad dressings -Not according to the menu. Blue ranch only.Next The Spicy Wings - They were absolutely delicious! Crispy, spicy with a touch of heat. We definitely would order those again!Chicken Milanese - Meh.....Broccoli Rabe - Tasted ok, but it was room temperature. As we were completing our meal the server gave us the check. No Rush she exclaimed, to which my friend replied Ah, no desert menu? The server apologized profusely and the menu appeared.Chocolate Lava Cake - We shared the cake AND the disappointment of no lava! Also, the menu is sparse. Lunchtime and they offer no sandwiches?Place looks nice, but that alone wont entice people to return. This UNION needs work.Maybe we should have just ordered PIZZA??
Went here Sat July 29, the end of their first week open. Saw the write up in the newspaper and wanted to give it a try. Checked out their website and the menu was impressive. When e arrived the hostess seated us and gave us our menus. We waited 5 minutes for our sever to come over for our drink orders. By that time we knew what we wanted and were ready to order our meals. First up we ordered San Pellegrino. The very young sever didnt know what this was. There is a painted sign of the San Pellegrino logo and name on one of the walls inside of the restaurant. This is when we were told that this was a soft opening with a restricted menu. Which turned out to mean none of the entrees listed on the menu were available. Only pizza and pasta dishes were available to order. I wanted the Chicken Milanese. To bad not available. The server tried to explain again that this was a soft opening. The grand opening wasnt until Aug 9. The owner didnt expect such big turnout out. She explained that we should have been told of the restricted menu by the hostess before we were seated.Soft opening? Didnt expect the turnout? For crying out loud there are multi colored streamers hanging off the front of the building and there was a big article in the Sunday paper about the newly opened restaurant. Not to mention nowhere on their website does it say that this is a soft opening period and the grand opening isnt until August 9th.We left and ordered Chinese food.
After waiting for an long time for my meal, which I dont mind when food is made fresh, I finally get it but my friend never got his meal.I Waited a couple minutes to see if it was on its way, nope.. I started eating, one bite into my chicken parmigiana and it taste of burnt bitterness, I move the cheese and sauce and find the breaded chicken burnt. We decide we are just going to leave, I run down an employee and explain we are leaving and why, she say ok let me get your server, 2 minutes later, she shows up with my friends meal.I explained that my meal was burnt and that I was not going to wait another 30 to 40 minutes for it to get remade, many reasons behind that.Hostess runs to get the owner for us even though I explained it wasnt necessary as my mind was pretty much made up and so was my friends. He meets us outside where I explained the situation and during his one moment he didnt have his face in his phone he says, so you didnt eat anything? I said no and that was that, no attempt at making things right like maybe offering a free drink or something when or should I say if we come back... Not! No concerns, nothing just oh, ok.I even get the feeling he asked if we ate anything to make sure we didnt leave without without paying for what we ate.... Good Luck with that! We were out! Leos across the street saved the evening.
I heard about this place from a buddy of mine. I love the food here its delicious and I do recommend this place to everyone. I pray that you will succeed in life and your culinary career. I am a chef myself for Tri-State Family Christian Center in Port Jervis. May God bless you
A solid option for gourmet pizza and Italian food in the newburgh area with a relaxed atmosphere. The complementary breadsticks with the tomato, garlic aioli and pesto dipping sauces were awesome, to the point where I had to fight over who got to finish the pesto sauce with my girlfriend 😂
We placed a pizza order to go with an order of fried raviolis or we asked for was no meat on the particular pie that we ordered they took our number and your information and gave us a 20 minute lead time when I arrived she had told me that she never made the order because all of the ingredients were packaged into pre bagged assortments and could not take the meat out thus they could not make the pie we ask for so they decided to not call us but to wait until I drove 20 minutes to their place from my town over ... So now I know that these pies are pretty much pre-made instead of fresh which is sad in itself aside from the fact that they have poor customer service even over the phone
I didnt like it at all the service was horrible the pizza was not good enough to cost what it cost the drinks were basic customer service sucked to crowded not enough tables no were to park your vehicle waiters who didnt know anything about alcoholic beverages and lack of knowledge pertaining to the food menu we will not return again left then went and ordered Soul Food from Little Mammas now that was a real affordable meal absolutely delicious food and alcoholic beverages pizza union was not official sorry New York City pizza is way better and really official

2022-06-09The “House Bread” is so fresh and airy.. they serve it with a garlic and oil spread.. the calamari was breaded to perfection, it was full of flavor and was so crispy! The cheesy garlic bread was also toasted to perfection and the bread was so buttery and full of flavor! I ordered the “odd couple” which was chicken and shrimp with spinach and cherry tomatoes in a creamy Alfredo wine sauce topped with Parmesan! Mmmm mmm mmm! My hubby got the spaghetti and meatballs.. also delish!Update: went back today.. got zucchini sticks and Nona Romana pizza.. with meatballs and mushrooms.. so good!

2021-09-28The pizza was awesome! Pizza is cooked to order, and comes out perfect. The staff here was super friendly, and the employee (sorry I forgot his name) who helped me today made recommendations that were excellent. A+ experience

2022-03-13Pizza was good, but a little too greasy (most likely because of the large amount of olive oil on it. Waiter kept refilling my drink, even though I didn’t ask, but still… Good environment, appetizers, and overall service.

2021-10-28I had to Google that I was in the right place, cause the sign now says fusion at union... but weve been getting pizza here, when it was Pizza Union. That being said- stick with the pizza. We got cheese with pepperoni, but love the beast of burden and the one with balsamic glaze (thats a real winner). We got, to- go, the truffle fries and fennel salad. The fries were...eh. cause of the packaging, by the time we picked up (which we were told to delay over the Slice App), it had sat for a while and the fries were steamed.Also... if your gonna get the fennel salad... your getting a whole fennel bulb sliced (check out the pic). Gotta admit, I wasnt prepared for that and was disappointed. Esp cause the 3 chunks of avocado were hard as a rock. The basalmic dressing was good and the cherry tomatoes were fresh. So just a heads-up.

2022-04-01Great food, pizza and bread are wonderful. and the best bartenders you will find in the area. Christina hands down makes the best drinks around- I’ve traveled up and down and across the Hudson valley and I’m telling you, she will craft the absolute best of whatever it is youre drinking. I don’t know how she does it, she just knows, it’s class, and it’s a gift…Margaritas, Espresso martinis, even a simple sangria will be the best you’ve had

2022-02-23We have been eating here since it was Pizza Union, and the food and service is still excellent. The portions are huge...you wont leave hungry. Love the tortellini alfredo, lasagna balls, pizza...and he caesar salad is perhaps the best in the area.

2022-06-04Excellent food and sercice. N atmospgere. N prices are fair. For sure. It was nice to pay 8 bucks for a really gd glass of wine than 12 bux a glass.. hope they stay reasonable n not raise their prices like cosimos did! I enjoyed their salads so much better than cosimos and for a less price!!

2018-08-02Understandably the soft opening was pandamonium. Parking lot was packed, tables were packed, however it was worth the wait. Our waiter was Eddie, who is not only personable but also very attentive in an environment where one could easily get swept away in the bustle. The pizza is worth it. The crust was great and they give you red pepper oil to dip tour crust in which was awesome. Im not a gluten freak, however if I eat a similar quantity of pizzeria pie, I would have a bit of discomfort, whereas the dough did not give me any grief at all. Order a coffee. You wont regret it. Definitely going back for more.
