I stopped here because Ive been shopping for a new horse trailer and noticed they have a few in stock. I also wanted to buy new motorcycle raingear for me and my wife. The place was dead and we were the only customers there. There were about 15 employees there, most sitting around doing nothing. I looked at all the trailers and wandered around the showroom for about 20 minutes but not a single employee asked me what I needed or attempted to help. It appears that Capraras dont need my business so I will be doing my shopping elsewhere.
Awesome sales and service. I bought a used harley from Mike and had a small issue with it. Chad from service told me to bring it in at my earliest convenience. I brought it in the same day and Chip put someone right on it The mechanic he put on it was great (I wish I got his name) he explained what was going on while he worked on it. When he finished. Being my first Harley he took the time to go though the bike a second time. I was very happy with the no pressure sales as well as the service.
Super cool place. Had my motor rebuilt in Florida. Rode it to New York did not have a appointment. But they still took on the job of changing out all of my fluids. Did not have me wait super long was able to pick it up next day. Plus the guy in service was really nice and professional
The service department is top notch. Had an appointment and they took my bike in right on time. Great friendly people too deal with and totally honest with you. They never have tried to sell me a service or product that I didnt need and have always been honest and upfront with their advice. They have earned my trust in having them service my bike and will continue to have them as my go to shop.
If you are trying to decide to take your sea doo to here or Clayton marina. Dont even bother with Clayton marina.. The level of experience and professionalism here at fx Harley is way better than the times Ive been at Clayton marina. The seadoo mechanics were helpful and very knowledgeable and provided quick service.
My wife and I went to the Dealership to See the new FLHXSE in person because Looking at the Bike on line or in Videos just Doesnt do any Justice as to everything on the bike. Seeing the bike up close is What sells it for me. I had a very positive experience with my Salesman and The parts salesman also the Deal was all straight forward no Surprises.
Call for my thousand mile service traveling to New York call dealer they basically told me know that they wouldnt squeeze me in to accommodate me as a traveler piss poor service. Call dealer in Rochester New York they said no problem they thought that was pretty bad to tuna accommodate me as a traveler therefore Wouldnt recommend them for anything very poor they dont even deserve the one star no stars
Horrible experience with salesman and sales manager. The team ran the financials and I was approved for more than they wanted on a used bike. Told salesperson I would be in Saturday to see motorcycle due to work schedule. I would not commit to a sale over the phone/ internet without first seeing the bike. Was contacted and was told the bike was sold and unfortunately that is how they do business. They never ask for a deposit to hold the bike. Anyone buying should know the deposit is not refundable and running your credit can detract from your score. I have in the past purchased 2 bikes from Iron block and Eric treated me like a valued customer. This team is arrogant and their correspondence is condescending. Would not recommend to anyone.
I had a break down while on vacation in the area. I called and Steve and Chuck from service told me to bring it right in and they would work on it. They got me right in and assigned technician John Gregory to my bike. John did an amazing job on the bike. They had the parts I needed in stock. John was super fast. They had me back on the road quickly and saved my vacation. I highly recommend these guys. Thank you!
Nice atmosphere. Large showroom space, but broken up nicely, so it feels like a cozy, friendly ski lodge or rustic Adirondack great camp setting. Friendly and knowledgeable staff greet you and are readily available to help, but are not hovering.Alot of merchandise too. Not just bikes, quads, sleds, and trailers so it is a nice place to visit, shop, say hello, browse, and maybe even find something you like, that doesnt require a bank loan to buy.Parts counters are also there, tucked away tastefully. I have never had a problem getting a part there. The staff do a great job making sure it is the right part. They also will make sure to check that you didnt forget that little dohickee thingy that fell off and rolled away when you were removing that offending part.
Bought bike from them in February and had nothing but good experience with sales. Bike needed a couple small things done and I couldnt get it down to them for about four months yet they took care of everything without a hitch. Very satisfied. BTW, they arranged financing with a regional credit union and very satisfied with that as well. Thank you to all!!
This place is terrible. Poor customer service. I saw a 15k motorcycle on line and was interested in purchasing. I stopped today 6/3/18 at 12:30 I walked in was not acknowledged went over and found the bike I was interested in stood next to the bike looking at it clearly interested for at least 10 minutes no one asked me if I had questions or even noticed I was there. I wander another 5 minutes and left. You go into a shop wait by a bike for 10 minutes and then loiter for 5 more no one even looks at you they were too busy for n their conversations with other staff. Very disappointed. I will end up buying at another Harley dealer where they acknowledge the customer. Sad
I bought a iron 883 a few years back from these guys. My battery was bad a few months after (it was a used bike), and caused my motorcycle to die while riding on the highway. I was all the way down in Virginia stranded. Instead of focusing on sales, they took their time and effort away to help fix my problem. All it took was a phone call, and a 15 minute conversation. A hour and a half later, the harley dealership outside of Fort Lee, VA, fixed the problem. I know it doesnt take an hour and a half to change a battery. To just show up to a dealership with out calling for an appointment, in the middle of summer, and getting me back on the road, thats customer service. This bike is now my daily in South Korea. When I upgrade to another bike, I will always check your stock first. Keep it up!
Dropped in to look around, but not one employee greeted us. They all made eye contact with us but no hello or can we help you with anything. They had one other customer in the store so it wasnt like anyone was tied up. Last time I checked if you work in a store its good customer service to greet people. Anyway not going back. We will happily travel to Syracuse to purchase a bike.
I am from Vermont and like stopping in at different Harley-Davidson dealerships in different areas to see what they have and look at bikes. I can’t say that the staff was rude but they weren’t overly friendly either. The word I could best describe the staff is indifferent to our presence. My fiancé was with me also. The girl behind the counter near the entrance was relatively friendly but did not seem to really go out her way to help. Her attention was on her cell phone. I was looking at bikes and accessories and even sat on a couple bikes and no one approached me to even talk about bikes. It was obvious that I am a Harley enthusiast and owner since I had an expensive Harley leather jacket and also a Harley T-shirt and jewelry. I was trying on a jacket and wasn’t approached even then. I bought the jacket anyways but still like to know that the staff is attentive. The good things that are nice here is the huge selection of apparel and their prices. It would’ve been a better experience if the staff would’ve been a little more attentive to our precense. They were obviously not busy since there was only a couple other people there but it was difficult to see who were employees and who weren’t. I was also impressed with the selections of new and used bike they have also but it was difficult walking around them in some places because they were so close together. As a whole it wasn’t a bad experience but it didn’t seem like we were welcome either.
4/15. I brought a battery that was less than a year old under warranty. I informed the parts clerk of this, he informed me I would have to wait 1 to 3 hours while he tested it. I could not wait around and he would not help me in anyway. He told me to buy a new one. $130.00. I am now getting upset, due to no customer service. I called today, 4/16 to see what the status of the battery was just out of curiosity. The parts clerk informed me the battery was dead and would not hold the charge. Before leaving I took off the label that shows the sales date. The month and year was not punched out. I felt if I didnt take the label off the the parts clerk would get the funds from the warranty. He now informs me that I can not get a credit for the battery because the label is gone. So when he wanted the label I told him it was under the back counter, that is where it landed not in trash can. Also I did not receive the return deposit on the battery. The parts clerk informs me that I need the original receipt of the bad battery. Which was not mentioned during my visit yesterday. All this seems to be shoty business and I felt I was ripped off and there customer service is horrible. I will not be a repeat customers! Performance Harley Davidison Syracuse.
I gave a less then perfect review the first time I was there . I want to fix my review because the second time was perfect . Chad was great and there was another guy but my husband cant remember his name. Thank you for making my husband feel welcomed at your business.
Our cashier/sales girl was awesome. We had a great time shopping for souvenir shirts for our friends to commemorate our trip, however, one of the clearance items shrunk so severely in the wash, it was disappointing. The one item for myself, a sweatshirt/jacket was worn for three hours and now unbearable because the sleeves are now too short to provide any wind coverage on the bike. It was only $25 on clearance, but when I called that next morning after we bought it & explained the situation & asked if we could exchange for a larger size (expecting the same shrinkage) we were told someone woukd call us back. My name, number, & invoice number were provided for June 14 sale. The call was made June 15. Still no call back. Understandably, we will not be stopping back through on our way home from vacation to grab the last two items on our list. Its just not where feel we should spend any more money if were not important enough to deserve a simple reply phone call.
Im military out of Fort Drum. I came to get my battery replaced under warranty from my bike which I purchased in Colorado. They took care of me, tested my battery, replaced it at no charge and suggested a battery tender which I purchased. Great people! And loved looking at the New Bikes while there.
This is our second TriGlide purchase. Comparing our experience with FX Caprara to our experience with another location, FXCaprara, OFF THE CHART! We had SO MUCH MORE customer service, time, and explanations to any of our questions/concerns,both in the purchasing process, purchasing of accessories and service! We will travel the 60+ miles for any of our servicing or partpurchasing. I cannot say enough about our sales person, Lonnie Cavellier, he was awesome! Very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. The finance department person, Theresa, a pleasure and ease of completing our purchase. The parts department, fantastic, and great at working hand in hand with our sales person, Lonnie, and how they both listened and understood what we were needing.
Purchased a new Seadoo last summer. That alone was a great experience.Due to having a boat and the Seadoo, we found that we just never used the PWC.I spoke to Dan several times over the phone and after many conversations we put a deal together on a Harley.I originally was interested in a Night Rod but once seeing the Fat Bob on the showroom floor I decided to pull the trigger on that bike.Dan had to redo the entire deal and paperwork along with prepping the bike for delivery. All while I waited.Within in no time I was returning home with my 12th motorcycle. Finally my 1st Harley.ALWAYS a great experience with FX and the staff. The reason I pass several Harley dealers on my 2 1/2 hour drive there.THANK YOU DAN !!!!!!!!
I voiced my issues repeatedly to FX and they finally took notice after I filled out the H-D survey. I reached out yesterday about concerns of my handle bars being loose and moving on me while was driving but unfortunately I’m fresh out of H-D surveys so I got a similar response as when I initially expressed my concerns over the battery!
Changed spark plugs on my lessed 2017 Dodge Ram. Truck was in shop for a recall. Truck had less than 16000 miles, service changed all spark plugs. There reasoning was it was due at twenty thousand miles. Spark plug maintenance is not required to be replaced until 100,000 miles.Service informed me that it was a mistake.Had been informed refund check was sent to me on March 28th still no check in the mail.I have to wait until
I love my bike dont get me wrong but I went in and was told they only finance through Harleys credit option. Now even though I was approved for the bike brought it home the same day now I keep getting rejection letters from the many other places they tried to finance me through and now my credit is trashed. I wont ever buy there again unless I have a loan already for a bike and even then will be hesitant
WOW,STAY AWAY ,STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY !!!!!Drop bike off 11 April 16 , for 17000 mile service.Wasnt complete until 29 April 16.Caught a 150.00 over charge.Plus they fixed one thing. Then discovered another problem and had to order another part! Had they done the work early they would have discovered problem and ordered both parts at same time but they didnt they set my bike aside and waited. Plus apparently every part takes 5 to 7 days for them to get it.I also wanted my screamin eagle super tuner tweaked to my bike that I bought through Harley . They tried to tell me it has to go on Dyno machine for minimum of 3 hours at 125 an hour. Lmao. I have had it done every year at another Harley shop . No Dyno required!! Plus I looked it up on Harley website. States right there no Dyno required. And to top it all off when I picked up my bike 18 days later for 5 hours work according to their receipt . They charged me 1230.78. Yes that not a typo! And they didnt go over my bike with me to show me what was done. And didnt even say THANK YOU!! Told me bike will be out front. Guy drives it out and get off and he doesnt even say thank you.... I have already stopped one friend from going their to buy a new bike. Hope to stop anyone else from this place. Sales may be are ok. But if service SUCKS AND you have to check up on them all the time to insure they dont over charge you... This is not the place for you!!!! STAY AWAY !!!!
Well sorry to say that Ive had to redo my review about my experience from 5 stars down to 3. The staff and the transaction were great, but, and now the bad part. My bike I paid $19,000 hard earned dollars for was supposedly serviced before I picked it up. Turns out my engine that holds 4 quarts of oil left the dealership with only 1 and a half quarts of oil !!! Yep, 2 and a half quarts low. Im so lucky I didnt blow up or seize my engine. I didnt think I needed to check others work but I always will in the future. I noticed the problem when my hydraulic lifters started tapping and the engine was down on power. Hmmm, better check the dipstick. No oil on the dipstick. Took 1 and a half quarts just to get it to register on the end. Had to add another quart. Ive called the dealership, Im not satisfied and extremely upset.....Update: Ive spoken with Dan, the sales manager, and apparently someone messed up somehow. FX Caprara will be paying for a fresh oil change and filter, and Dan has assured me that should i have any issues with the engine in the foreseeable future that we can deal with that. I think thats fair so Im feeling much better. Hopefully all is well with the bike....UPDATE: I have changed my rating back to 5 as FX Caprara handled this issue with poise, dignity, and understanding. They have paid for a local HD shop to do my complete oil change. Thanks very much for handling this professionally!!! Randy
“Went for the first time with a brother to take care of his bike. Ive been searching all around the Rochester NY area and have found nothing that works in my price range. First bike I saw was exactly what Ive been looking for. There was zero pressure from Dan. Dennis in parts went above and beyond to help me with add ons. Not only Dennis but their mechanics were nothing but a wealth of knowledge. I will never buy a bike anywhere else. Im a customer for life.”
(Arctic Cat) Multiple times they ordered wrong parts, marked up prices and lack of knowledge. They also left early on me once after work when they said theyd stay open until I got there. I will never go in there again and I will from now on be driving to Lowville instead to go to D&D or order your parts from Babbitts online which I have had a good experience with so far.
Total miss communication from every there. First manager talked to said they would be able to buy it and told me to talk to manager the next day. Called him and he stated that from his partner reccomendation they would buy it. About to head over seas and was trying to sell. Got there after driving in a storm, he lookef at it and said too much work, cant do anything. No other offer. Just have a good one. Stuck in lighting storm now with hail. Yeah not as friendly as they appear.
I bought a 2016 my first Harley instead of going through the bike they waited for me to find the issues and then wanted me to drive it 2 hours back to them so they can fix the issue I will never buy a harley from them again so know Im having Performence harley fix the issues after only having the bike for 3 weeks buyer beware update come to find out they sold me a bike without a front fork axel cap meaning my front tire could of came off they denied it but I was smart and took many pictures of the bike that was on their website and it shows no cap i have started a law suit against them i will be posting updates on the lawsuit i could of died my son could of died if you value yiur life buy your bike some were else
DO NOT USE THIS DEALER. My friend who is a veteran left their bike with the FX Caprara for a quote which they said they would get back to him with. FX Caprara never gave him a quote nor did they try and get in contact with him at any time. This dealership went ahead and made repairs without ANY VERBAL OR WRITTEN CONTRACT in place. 24 months later they wrote his GoFundMeAccount and business account and requested payment for their unauthorised repairs and unauthorised storage fees (no one advised him he would be paying them because this business never advised anything). They LIED in their paperwork and said it was a verbal contract - this is fraudulent fabrication. They never left any voice message, sent any letters to his address or had any written or verbal contact with him at all regarding quote details or that they had made the repairs or that he could pick his bike up. This is a dealership who can happily lie and deceive our veterans. DO NOT USE THEM.UPDATE: In response to their reply below, I contacted FX Caprara regarding the fact that I have been in almost daily contact with the Veteran and the only time his phone has been off, was when he forgot to charge it and it did in the wee small hours of the morning. I also advised that I lived with the Veteran for months in 2018, and never received any mail from FX Caprara. I requested they revisited their purported mailings/phone calls, to identify if they have made an error. THEY REFUSED TO DO THIS. Dan told me to tell the veteran the daily storage fee cost and would only deal with him. It goes without saying that if they had been in constant communication with the veteran these past two years, the storage fee would have been in their paperwork/phone calls. Whoever is running this lie of paperwork and mailing is committing a fraud.
Well, where do I start ? Comunition is horable. Just bought two 2018 sleds and live 2 hrs away .Ive had to return three time and then this time dragged sleds down to have a extra set of keys made told us it was gonna be 1/2 hour well again communication problems had to leave sleds .so guess what have to go all the way back down told us be done 1 to 3 days guess what not done why communication parts wernt ordered........ top it all dont even try and make it right !! Well I have three couple friends looking for sled I wont be sending them that way!
Anyone who has been around a few Harley dealerships knows that its staff that makes or breaks it. Ive been to FX several times and have always walked away satisfied, and knowing I got HONEST answers. Ive worked with the service department, parts department, and sales, and can say I would gladly recommend all aspects of FX Caprara Harley-Davidson.
Everyone at the dealership is friendly, knowledgeable and customer-focused. Dan Carfi has become (through 3 new motorcycle purchases over the last 10 years) a trusted friend and adviser. He provides the best service and attention to detail I have seen through all my years experience with H-D. It really is a pleasure doing business with Dan and the folks at FXC H-D. Bravo!
I became a loyal customer at FX as soon as Dan Carfi was hired, he is an asset to the entire dealership. I always feel welcome when I enter the store and there is always a friendly greeting and more importantly, they remember your name. The service department is top notch, Service Manager Chad DeShayes makes the experience great and keeps customers returning for more great service. The Parts Department is always helpful and knowledgeable and helps steer you in the right direction if there are any questions. I travel 60 miles one way to patronize FX Caprara Harley Davidson and I can honestly say it is worth it, and I will be a loyal customer for years to
Well I called at 2 pm to pick up kids 4 wheeler they said be ready at 4. Both there at 345 paid for it sat waiting until 545 before we were loaded . Pretty ridiculous if I might say. Not very happy with the answers I was getting about why it was taking do long. Got me once never again.
Its the closest arctic cat dealer and repair shop to my house but its not their main gig. Theres only one guy there who knows anything about sleds. I had mine there for 3 weeks and nothing was done on it and nobody could give me an estimate on when it would be done. I finally went and picked it up and took it to D and D. The part is back ordered but at least they could tell me when to expect completion.

2022-04-15Just purchased a street glide from these guys. Drove two hours to see bike. Well worth it. 100% no comparison to my local HD dealership. Not only did I get a great buy but everyone I dealt with was super knowledgeable and friendly. Clean and Mike S are great guys. Thanks again!!!

2022-04-16Huge selection of Harley merchandise. If you can think of something Harley related I am pretty sure they have it here.

2022-04-26I was in there on 3 different occasion to purchase some parts for my 05 Heritage, the gentleman at the parts counter made sure I had the correct parts. During one visit a technician even came out to verify what I was needing as well as gave me some info to look out for when put it back together.

2022-01-22Were sort of local but had never been here. Wish we had bc we found a lot of stuff we have previously ordered online or from elsewhere. They have quite a bit of a selection, and definitely bigger and better than Syracuse. Well definitely be going back

2020-09-01The Service guys freaking rock!!I am trailering my bike (OL can’t ride that long so it’s easier to trailer) for some riding in the Adirondacks and then in VT and NH and I broke the spring off my side stand while riding it up the trailer ramp before I even left my house.I called Chad late on Friday afternoon and he said come in Saturday morning. He and Victor (Svc. tech) rummaged through a parts bin and got me back in the road with zero lost time on my trip. Thanks Chad and Victor, and FX Caprara.

2021-06-28Nice store. Bike selection is limited but thats most likely due to pandemic. Guys at parts counter are great and very helpful. We like this dealership and will continue to support them.
