Crooks! Came to have car inspected and passed on everything except 2 tires were under question. They offered to install same ones(Continentals)which turned out to be cheap Chinese copy. When I asked if they did balance they lied because their balance machine was covered the whole time my car was worked on!CROOKS!
I had a bad experience with them, I paid for a brand of tires and they installed another brand, I did not argue but I felt very dissatisfied, I feel that I paid a lot of money for the type of tire they installed.
Had my second perfect experience with these guys yesterday. They are fast, friendly and really reasonably priced. I have taken my BMW to a variety of places and no one has been even close to as good. Go there and you will be happy.

Even though the job was bigger than the original charge and took a lot of extra time, I wasnt asked to pay more and every staff member, especially Gus, was friendly and professional. I would trust my car to them again.
Convenient location. Fast and reliable service. If you dont know who your dealing with they may charge a higher price. But bought my Dominican friend with me and the price significantly dropped.
Honesty, its the first reason Ill be a repeat customer. Great pricing, what I got when I found out I needed breaks and rotors. Friendliness, another great quality of this place. The owner Gus, has my vote all day when it come to car maintenance. There car wash is next on my list!
DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS! (Especially Richard, the manager)They quoted me one thing and charged me another.In just a matter of days the price changed 3 times without a reasonable explanation. Also, when I dropped off my car, another guy was complaining about the final price not matching what he was quoted.They caused further damage to my car and refused to take responsibility for it.When I dropped off my car, the tires and wheels were completely fine; no problem whatsoever. Then when I picked it up, one of the hubcaps was busted and falling off, and they refused to take responsibility for it even though the car was in their care for close to a week. They also broke something in the trunk in an effort to fix it. When I pointed it out to Richard, the manager, he told me that that had happened in the accident, which was a BLATANT LIE!They overcharged me for parts.Charged $225 for parts that cost $111 at Danken Auto Part on Morgan Ave.They overcharge in general.Asked about replacing a vent window and was quoted $160. Ended up fixing the vent window for $50 at Glass Depot Inc on Flushing Ave.GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!
Had to check a sound my car was making and hardly ever have time during the day, most places telling me it would be a week or more before they could even look at it to diagnose the issue. But here they just took a look right away, found the problem immediately, quoted me the price for repair and had me out of there in an hour with a welded fix instead of upselling a whole new part. Ive been looking for a good mechanic and I think this is the place.
I feel that some form of prejudice showed. I was there first for an inspection, then another person came Male Hispanic for the same thing. They took his car first, so I felt some kind of way. But its all good. I leave tips when I feel services are good..
I went here just to get an oil change on my 84 Grand Prix because my usual Machanic was out of state. I had the oil change done and someone there start messing with regulator on my and made my car sound like it was popping popcorn kernels. I told them my car did not sound like that when I drove in half hour ago. They gave me a bunch of BS. I would never go there again.I went back to my machanic and he fix the problem he also stated they where just trying to make money on me. He even showed me what they did.

Great service all the way around. Ive been going to G & E Auto Repair for about the last 18 months or so... primarily for oil changes with my SAAB. Recently though, I needed to take the car in since my front bumper was partially ripped off after sinking into the grass at Crissy Field, then backing up with the bottom of the bumper getting hung up in the ground. I was dreading the bill. I was certain it would be $1000. In the end, they made it look almost like new, and the cost... $50.
Tried to come here for the insurance photos required by NY state since I recently registered my vehicle in NY. The woman on the phone was not helpful at all. I was told to come in at 9am on a Wednesday, after being told Tuesday that they were unable to do the photos. I showed up at 9am and was told that the person who does photos wont be in for another hour. I waited over an hour and called to see if the person showed up, and was told that the guy would not be there for another 2 hours later. The service here was not good. I would recommend going somewhere else.
There prices are insane ! Definitely do not recommend they take for ever to do the work and when they say by Tuesday it will be done. Expect it done by A few days later like on Friday. & like i said the prices they charge are like no other mechanic shop in the hole area. Super expensive even for an oil change they want to charger 130+
I drive out of my way just to come to this spot. Gus is a gentleman and a scholar and the guys in the shop are awesome. Quick, honest, and solid work as well as being super friendly

The break line on my car was kaputz since its a 2001, google suggested G&E and I took my car there in desperate need to get home the following day just after Christmas. The mechanic told me what was to be done showed me under my car and I felt was completely honest and up front and gave me a great price. My car also made it back to Canada after the repair being made for me same day. If your car breaks down in NYC take it to these guys. Shout out to the receptionist in there too, shes running that show.
Got my car bumpers painted about a year back. Money isnt an issue for me. I just want quality honest work in a timely fashion because I work alot. I was told that because I couldnt leave my car for more than 2 days that it would be more money. The mgr said he would have to pay his guys OT etc etc. I was charged $1000..Average cost for painting car bumpers is about $300.I get my car back and the back bumper looked as if it was dripping as it dried. The paint chips off with any little bump. Terrible job! I wasnt given any money back, but instead told to leave the car and have it repainted. I refused because I did not have time and was pissed that the work wasnt done right the first time.Come to find out, they dont even paint at his shop. They take the cars somewhere else to paint. So he prob charged me the price to get painted, plus added his own fee for delivering my car. An honest mechanic would have said Hey.I dont paint at my shop, but I recommend this place for you.This is just another mechanic that rips off people who dont know about cars.
I went here to get my car inspected, besides the fact that no one spoke full english they never updated me on what was going on and I ended up sitting there for hours. After paying double the price of a normal car inspection they told me that I had failed it because I needed new brake pads so instead of paying to get in inspected again I had the new brake pads put on. It was a cheap price for getting the brake pads put on but thats because they were faulty. After hearing strange noises from my tires I found out that the brake pads they got me were the wrong size for my car...and again I had to buy new brake pads. If you care about your car at all then dont have anything done to it here.
Wish I could give 0 zero stars.Brought car for inspection, quoted $1000 worth of repairs. Said an important part could fall off any moment hence situation is dangerous, hence car is not driveable, also that if I didnt get the car inspected right away Id risk a fine of $65... per day.1st lie: Went to another mechanic. Car need repairs, but is not dangerous. I safely drove up north 7 hours the next day. A bit different from a mechanic telling you to park the car RIGHT NOW, huh?2nd lie: The fine for an uninspected car in New York is in the $70-$100 range, per time you get pulled over, not as scary as what he stated.3rd lie: Mechanic hid a worn CV shaft, probably for future patronage??Just so you know I got everything fixed for $480 at an honest mechanic upstate.My advice to potential customers: Avoid this overpriced, dishonest shop.My advice to the shop: Stop trying to abuse and worry your potential customers. Were not all dummies.
Love to wash my car here they wash it really good. They even take out your floor mats and wash them. I have rubber ones. And pass the vaccum in your trunk. Amoral on tires is included dont have to pay extra.

Attempted to get NYS inspection for my car, they lied about a corroded brake pad and made me pay for the fix to pass. Funny how the authorized Subaru repair center I go to every year for maintenance didn’t notice this...well its cause you lied and swindled me out of money.

I went in to do a inspection. They charged me in full . inspection failed for 2 noticeable things. Why should he not tell me this before . could of fix before doing it . Dont go here if you need a NYS inspection.First off if you are not Latin, expect to wait for anyone that speaks Spanish to go before you. Anyways 2 hours later inspection passed but since the mechanic hooked up the computer wrong they couldnt give me the sticker. He charged me full price and I had to get the car inspected else where (where it passed without a problem).

I was going to le my car to change an axle. And IThey ordered the part and I paid 235.00 and then 3 weeks passed and my car was damaged in NJ and I decided it was better to come for the part and a mechanic in NJHe will place it for me not to pay the crane ... because after speaking several times with the cashier he told me that he could not give the piece (25Lb) and after I speak to theOwner decided yes. And it turns out I pay uber to the subway station and travel to NJ and pay uber to carry the pieceA mechanic and when they were going to install he told me this part is not for your car it is for a Ford but notTheYours all thatI got mad and okay I ordered the part to a nearby Ford and if I had just that they couldnt accept the part that I bought co. This gentleman is the one who directs me back to Brooklyn with the piece pay uber subway and other work. And I took the piece to him hey this piece is not good for my car you can return my money. Alo very grocers the cashier with u. Aggressive Toño said that she would not accept why. Or money returns that I contacted the owner and he said that if he changed or put me on but that he will take my car he never understood that my car cannot move the drum to another state and pay 300-500gr for it to move to do the same job. I cant bring the car and theSaid okay the piece will return it to you but I will charge you 25% of what you paid235.00 that under the pretext that. The dealer who discounts 25% for returning a part that was from aBadly ordered principle ??? They made the mistake ?? And they still have the nerve to take 25% off ... I should charge them for uber to pay 4 Ubers (32.00 plus subway 5.50 plus path train (5.50). And they take 50 dollars from me 😡😡😡😡😡 ... and still its not enough that they told meIvan to return I love card 💳 (185) ?? And a week went by and Im still waiting for my money. And I went back to that place for 10 times and the cashiers greasers told me that thats not his problem that I talk to himOwner who doesnt know what to expect (already wait 7-10Days). 2022-07-18The receptionist is SO NICE. She’s so professional and she answered all my questions and is just a really sweet, pleasant person. I came here for my annual inspection and my last oil change. They do services while you wait, and they’re quick. If you’re a woman and going to car repair places run by men usually makes you anxious, come here!!!

2022-04-10Had a good experience here cleaning my car for Passover. The vehicle hadn’t seen a car wash in over a year and it was as dirty as it gets. They charged me $150 but did a beautiful job inside out. They even kept the car on premises for a full day because I wasn’t able to pick it up mid-day.

2019-03-07I paid for an oil change when they said it was ready and I left the light came up again when I returned and asked the manager how come, his response was relax man... now they might be doing a good job fixing your car however.. theres no communication, the manager has a shocking attitude takes no responsibility for screwing his customers and has an ego till the sky. Its a shame that a good place like this should suffer because of one person.

2021-10-26I’ve been here a few times before for my inspection and they have always been great. So when my car started making noises while driving I decided I would try them out. When I arrived I met Benji (the owners son), he looked under my car and seem to know what he was talking about even though I told him it sound like the axle or wheel joints but he proceeded to say something was broken and was causing the noise. I believed him since he is a mechanic. When I left my car was making a banging noise at every dip or uneven pavement, so I brought it back and he then said it was the shocks. I’ve had my car for over 10 years driving in NY so I agreed to replace them. Benji quoted me at $530, but when I dropped it off the next week they told me it would be $650, huge difference. After the back and forth they honored the original quote. When I came by to drop off a part, I witnessed a mechanic (not Benji) looking confused and it looked as though he was using a long piece of metal to adjust my wheel and/or axle. I immediately went to the receptionist to tell her he looked like he didn’t know what he was doing and might damage my car. The owner was there and reassured me everything would be fine. I received my car the same day and it drove good, no noise. But the next day I heard the same original noise with the axle and joints that wasn’t fixed, and a few days later I heard the shocks. Apparently, they replaced the shocks but no the mounts so the banging noise is still there. I decided not to return after paying $700 not including the other repairs which would total to almost $1000. Now I will need to find another place to correct all these new and old noises.

2021-04-16Within a months time, I took my vehicle for service at G&E 3 times, as its a local car repair shop & I was born & raised in this area. After paying over $1000 on repairs, my transmission began leaking fluid. Keep in mind, that my vehicle was never there for transmission work. The mechanic worked hard at trying to convince me that I brought it in leaking fluid. After a battle of words, they attempted to repair it but I ended up having to take it to a transmission specialist. While there, we witnessed many customers coming in with complaints but still considered them isolated events. After my issue, I can wholeheartedly say that they are scammers. They are the kind of shop that fixes one thing & works to damage another to ensure your return. Unfortunately, they took it too far & their scam came out in the open. Will not be taking my vehicle anywhere near their shop again. If you are looking for loyal service, keep driving past G&E.

2020-11-18By far the best auto shop Ive been in the past 10 years of living in NY. Its full service, very fast, all the stuff is very professional and courteous. The owner of the shop, Gus, goes above and beyond to make their customers happy. Its the place I trust 100% and know that my car will be fixed and my bill wont be blown up. Its conveniently located, with a car wash next to it, and a gas station right in front, so it makes the place one-stop-fix-it-all. Cant recommend this place more.
