UPDATE to confirm after Gadget RX called to vent and trash me over the initial review: I took the laptop to another repair shop half a mile away and had it back in three days - FIXED. Judge as you may. // I wish I could give them a better review since theyre nice guys, but I had the laptop there twice - the second time for a month - spent almost $300, and they still didnt diagnose the problem correctly nor did they fix it. Additionally, communications were atrocious - never got a return call and always had to stop in to find out the status. Let the buyer beware.
Super convenient, they were able to squeeze me in about an hour before closing to fix my old iphone 6. They also have a bunch of cases for older iphone and Samsung models.
CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! TAKE YOUR REPAIRS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!The worst customer experience. Dropped my Xbox off on 10/23 Andrew explained that he would diagnose my issue and get back to me shortly. A day passed and nothing so I decided to call again Andrew: were looking into your issue and I will give you a call back later today. Another day passed with no follow-up call. I called again, and this time I was told by Andrew that I needed to be charged for a more in-depth diagnosis and that would cost $25. This time I wait three days and still no follow up or follow through. Andrew tells me that they are still trying to figure out the issue and he would call me back.GUESS WHAT?!? HE NEVER CALLED BACK!Yesterday November 1st I called and spoke to an unidentified gentleman who told me that based on the notes theres an issue with the motherboard but he would have someone call me back. 😂🤣😂Gadget Rx theme song well call you back.Today I called and spoke to Andrew who was downright nasty to me on the phone when I mentioned to him that Ive called often and there hasnt been any follow-up. I said to him that I would come to the store and discuss the issue with him in person and his response was theres nothing to discuss. When I arrived at the store Andrew claimed that he mixed me up with another customer that had called, but my Xbox was sitting on the counter 😳 🤔.Gadget Rx lies, over-promises, and under-delivers.My suggestion is that you DO NOT TAKE anything you need repaired Gadget Rx. Save yourself time and aggravation.
I had an absolutely amazing experience. I have an LG phone, which after calling around, not every store services. Gadget RX wasnt the cheapest, but they came off as the most professional over the phone. I explained that I run my business from my phone. So, minimum down time was desired. They called me when the part came in. They even stayed after hours to accommodate my schedule. The first replacement screen wasnt perfect, they pointed out the problem before i even noticed it and promised to get me another one by the end of the week. When the new one came in, they worked with my schedule again, changed out the screen, and its great!Thank you so much!
My name is Mike Nogan, I came into Gadget-RX 9 months ago to repair my iPhone and had the most satisfying customer service from Andrew and his staff. This has got to be, hands-down, the worst cell phone repair show in NY. I have brought my phones in over the years to various stores, even fixed some myself, but never had a bad experience.I brought my S7 Edge with a cracked screen in for repair this past Friday - dropped a deposit so they could buy the parts to repair the screen and committed to paying over $400 for the repair. The gentlemen at the desk said they would call me when the phone was fixed. When Saturday and Sunday came and went with no call, I called to hear that my phone was ready, yay! I get to the store to find that the docking buttons were not functional, they worked sometimes when pressing very hard with two hands. They agreed it was unacceptable and said they would rework the phone and call me when its ready. 4pm today and still no call so I ring them back to hear they are mid-process fixing my phone (again). They call me an hour later with bad news. They broke the screen when trying to fix my phone. They give me two options take my extra broken phone back and get my money back or have them try again to repair (another few days with my phone and no solution? No way) So I went in with a slight crack in my phone glass only and now have a phone where the whole front is coming up off the device, the LCD is damaged and is rendered completely un-usable. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for phone repairs. Youd be better off throwing your phone against the wall, it would do less damage than Gadget Rx.
These guys are great. I was referred to Gadget Rx after attempting to fix the problem on my own and consulting other experts. I found the staff to be professional, courteous, and helpful. They were able to resolve my smartphone issue in a short time while I waited, which saved me the hassle of having to drop it off and be without my phone for the day. I was not only impressed by the ease of the transaction, but also the price, which I found to be quite reasonable.
Best place to get all of your electronics fixed, Ive been going to them for years, they simply know me as Brian from sanitation. They fixed my relic of a MacBook and replaced screens on all of my devices. Always remembers me and gives me great deals and even complemented a competitors phone case.Simply a great experience every time I go, never too expensive and always fast service.
I have been here many times to fix my IPhones and IPods and let me just say that they have the best customer service =D The prices are very low for such good quality repairs. They get the job done right! A guy named Andrew (owner of the store) helped me with all my problems. He is very patient and know what he is doing! I brought my IPod in a couple of weeks ago with a cracked screen and in a hour and a half it was like brand new and ready to use! I give this store five stars! Andrew and his staff are on point. I brought 2 devices, my PS3 and my cracked iPhone 5 in for repair. I was told it may take 2-3 days for console repair however, when I came in to pick up my iPhone later that day, they had both fixed!. To top it off I get a 90 day warranty on my 4 yr old PS3! They are more than what they advertise. I have a high end gaming computer that is liquid cooled, that I needed to upgrade. I was recommended to them by a different computer specialist that honestly said that my machine, above his head. I contacted them, they instantly knew what I was talking about and asked that I bring it in. When I did I was greeted by a fantastic group of enthusiastic people who wanted to help me out of sheer love of the game. After a few day of working on the machine using parts that I supplied and very little that they needed to source, it was complete. It ended up costing very little and the estimate they gave me in the beginning was spot on. My upgraded gaming computer now has a 2080ti that is liquid cooled and running like a champion. I spent 2 weeks with it before I posted this because I wanted the computer to heat cycle a few times. It is a Beast!! Thank you guys for what you did, I wish you guys continued success.
Great service. dropped off laptop on Sat and got an estimate within the hour. Finished job exactly when they said they would. Every time I called courteous ,ready to answer questions. Work done was excellent. would highly recommend
I cant even adequately express how talented these guys are!!I recently had my desktop computer , which was dead as a result of hurricane Sandy, repaired there.I dropped it off with a super friendly and knowledgeable guy named Mike.He explained that it would be at least an hour till they could let me know if they could fix it, ONE HOUR, I almost passed out at speed they promised.Well, I went home and in less than 2 1/2 hours I got a call telling me that my computer was fixed and checked out and ready to be picked up!!!The cost and time were a fraction of the cost I was given by Geek Squad.I got it home hooked it up and it is good as new!They fix all types of electronics including Iphones.You will never have a more satisfying experience with repairs as you will with this place.If there was a higher rating than excellent I would give it to them!!
Gadget RX saved my day! I had an iPhone 5s which was in broken into 3 pieces subsequent to being run over a few times after falling out of my pocket while biking. I had apple care so i wasnt concerned about fixing it but i was very concerned about backing up my photos before i swapped it out at the apple store. They were able to temporarily connect a new screen and battery and some other things to get it running and successfully did a full backup on my lab top which I brought in. They did all of this promptly and for a very reasonable price. I am so thankful they were able to preserve my photos.
Professional and VERY customer oriented. Fair prices and overall a great experience. Salesman helped me with transferring all of my data , as well as assisted me with activating my new phone with my servicecarrier.
The guys are nice and helpful but I brought my broken PlayStation here and they fixed it for $130. Less then 2 months later it broke again, I would recommend just buying a new PlayStation if yours breaks.
Andrew and Peter are the best. Whenever we have an issue with our cell phones or computer they are able to fix it no matter how complex the problem is. Their turnaround is quick and their prices cant be beat. Definitely recommend.
I sent my ps3 to get fixed. I just knew the issue was the fan. The checked it and reassured me the fan was in good condition and it just needed a bit of cleaning. I was very happy that they didnt try to take advantage and replace a part that didnt need fixing. I would definitely come here again for any additional electronic repair requests.
Went in today to Gadget RX to get my iPhone and iPad repaired. Was out with both within the hour. Great service and incredible pricing. I definitely would recommend them to anybody out there who needs their gadget fixed!!!
Super fast service. Restored my Sony Vaio All in One desktop - which had an Operating System not found error message. Desktop is up and running perfectly now. No data loss. All my files are still here along with all the Sony Bundled Software installed. Very pleased. I would get my other devices fixed by them in the future. Andrew was great to work with.
When my phone died 5 months short of when I was eligible to upgrade, I was able to buy a refurbished phone from Gadget RX at a fraction of what it would cost to upgrade early. Now Im back in business with a Samsung Galaxy. The staff at Gadget RX is friendly and helpful and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a repair or a refurbished phone.
This place is terrible!! I do not recommend this place to anyone. Andrew had my laptop for 3 weeks (since May 13) and today calls me to tell me that he has to order the part to hold a charge. That was the reason for me dropping off the laptop which I conveyed to him. I asked him to make note of that on the receipt but he said he would remember. I called him a few times during the time he had my laptop and was put on hold each time or told that Andrew would call me back because he was busy with other customers. Andrew has the audacity to tell me that I was a liar. I will never recommend this place. I’m disgusted with the service to say the least!!
Used to use them and they WERE great. Then they couldnt fix my computer. They said they fixed it and that it was something that I was doing that kept bringing up the same error. They told me that they would work with me to get problem fixed then they changed their mind. Andrew, the owner, was rude and arrogant. They ended up wiping my computer clean and didnt back it up. He was rude about that too. I am lucky that I got my computer back at all.DONT USE THEM! YOU CANT TRUST THEM and THEYRE RUDE!!!1
Great, friendly staff. Ive visited the shop a few times and they have always done great work on each of my computers . Unless Im out of the area, I wont be taking my computer work to anyone but the crew at gadget rx.
I had a problem with my iPad. I brought it in to Gadget Rx and spoke with Andrew, who was referred to my by friends in my community. My iPad was fixed in minutes. I am so grateful and am very pleased with the services. You will not be disappointed with the services.
Gadget RX is a wonderful place. Every time I bring hardware in here to be worked on they are efficient and get the job done amazingly. I would recommend this store to anyone whether it is for repair or an upgrade of device or anything.
Helpful guys that went above and beyond. I spilled coffee all over my Macbook laptop keyboard and it wouldn’t turn on. I figured it was completely ruined, but they fixed it (new keyboard, cleaning, plus an upgraded hard drive) quickly at a really good price so I didn’t have to deal with the Apple store. Had a terrible experience. The person knew nothing about phones and probably used a DIY youtube video to fix my phone. He used a cheap Chinese screen as a replacement which broke in my pocket and they messed up the microphone and the phone call speaker on my phone which no longer work because they know nothing about how phones work. I asked him how much a screen cost to do it myself and he said $75 and then i looked it up and he used a $30 screen. This place rips you off and your screen will probably break easily again after this place and they take no responsibility if they completely ruin your device. Dont go here.
Will never go back. After 3 screen replacements, I am still getting issues. When I called to complain and discuss getting a refund because I did not want them to replace for the 4th time, I was told that I was entitled to my opinion that the screen was foggy. It is not my opinion! Take a look at your work!

Brought my 5S into there for them to fix my screen kid at the counters a burnout name is Ben told me would be $100 gives me a receipt for $109 talking about tax called me up 20 minutes later saying the buttons broke going to be another 30 I figure OK since I need my fingerprint scanner wouldnt be a problem so now Im in for 139 I show up the kid then comes out from the back and hands me a phone that looks like an 4 s I had a Goldbutton and my fingerprint scanner worked hands me my phone with the silver button screen was fixed but my fingerprint scanner dont work I knew it right off the bat once I seen the silver button I tell him about it he looks at me like Im a retard and tells me its going to be 142 something I handed him 140 witch was way over priced and told him I was not happy and I walked out my advice if you go to this place asked to speak to somebody in the back and make sure the name is not ben .

2018-07-09Absolutely the worst customer experience I have ever had. My screen cracked because I dropped my phone. I paid $110 for a new screen. Two months later the screen was no longer recognizing touch. I bought a new phone. I came back about two years later to reactivate my phone and get the screen looked at. I was assured it seemed to just have disconnected. The associate who assisted me was extremely nice and helpful. He looked out for my best interest and tried to make things right. I came back two weeks later with the same issue. The bottom half of the screen no longer worked properly. While speaking with the associate about the issue the owner came in and asked why I would expect them to fix an issue with my phone when for all they know I did something to it. He got loud with me and told me now Im speaking to him. Lol never go here ever.

2021-04-24They were very nice and courteous. Highly responsive by phone. My phone took a bit longer than usual but they were very nice about it and kept me up to date about what was going on. They also gave me a loaner phone to use while I didnt have my own phone, which I really appreciated. Great staff and very kind people! Definitely will be my go-to for phone and electronic repairs!

2020-10-17Highly recommend. have bought so many products and had at least 10 phones repaired here (kids and a big family). you wont find better service, knowledge, or prices. honesty in sales is important and he tries to keep you informed and offer the best available prices. I bought half my Xmas presents here because the prices are that good. used inventory and more is impressive as well.

2021-02-15They repaired my phone. Everything was working fine for about a week. Now certain touch areas on the phone do not work upon the first 100 tries. Also I just got a curvy blue line through 50% of the phone. Assuming it is not a genuine Apple display and I was charged $180 for a repair that only repaired 30% of my phone. Disappointing

2020-07-31Ive never had a better experience at a phone repair shop. Not only did he give me a loan phone while he fixed my iPhone 8, he was able to dehydrate it, back it up, replace the screen AND battery, and get it to work again!! I literally saved hundreds of dollars. I highly recommend Gadget RX! Their screen protectors are very affordable too.

2019-08-20Excellent service! Andrew was very helpful. My iPhone was run over by a car. Entire screen shattered. They replaced the screen, but rear camera did not work. Andrew tried to use spare part from another damaged phone to keep cost down. After all that work he told me he was going to try to get a brand new camera but if it did not work he would save down all the data for me and put the old screen on it so I could go through Insurance. Thankfully the new camera worked and he only charged me cost for it. All this happened in a span of A-day and a 1/2. A great effort was put forth and Im very happy with the service

2019-08-23Ive had the pleasure of doing business with this establishment quite a few times throughout the years. Even back when they were in a different location. Every time Ive been here they have been just as knowledgeable and professional as you could want. Every time explaining what they would do, and quote me with what they were doing in the repair. Every phone Ive purchased has been very reasonably priced. And has come with a very fair warranty that I havent needed to ever use. Cause it seems that everything they sell is in fantastic shape. Their display case tells that story very well. I look forward to doing business with this store and its awesome employees/owner for many years to come whenever I need a good used phone or repair to one as well!

2017-12-06I absolutely LOVE these guys. They are knowledgeable, honest, and a pleasure to deal with -- my Go To source for help with my computers and IPhones, whether its for repairs or purchases. I will NEVER ditch an existing device, or buy anything new, until Ive check with them first to get an honest evaluation of the problem and, if necessary, a great price for service or an awesome deal on a replacement. Ive saved time and money since I came across Andrew and his team -- they are the best.
