I have been out of the video game world for at least a couple of decades. Now purchasing for my 5 year old and was pleasantly surprised to find very helpful young men behind the counter.Thanks guys for fielding all my silly questions!
Zero stars.. I have never really liked shopping here because of their shady business practices which I have never written any sort of review about them until after my experience today.I was already reluctant to buy a game from there but the price was advertised at $19.99 for a new not used copy of driveclub for the PS4.. USED was listed at $29.99 so what justifies the extra $10 being spent on something thats used and not even new? I verified that the price was correct with them but they didnt have any new copies left only used ones. I asked them if they could match the price of it with their new copy and they said they wouldnt do that. You would think since they love to push everyone into buying used copied because the profit margins are much higher but they refused and took my business elsewhere which is what I should have done in the first place.Thank you gamestop for reminding me why you dont deserve the thousands of dollars I spend each year on games and consoles. You will never see me in any of your stores and also I will continue to recommend the various other stores in my area to my friends over you.
Excellent service during pandemic, they helped me with a warranty exchange. Amanda was helpful and she should.be promoted.
I have been coming to this GameStop and one other habitually for the past 4 years. Always polite and courteous to me. One time I brought a used copy of The Witcher III: The Wild Hunt for my Xbox One and it wouldnt install after everything I tired. Took it back to GameStop and explained what was going on and they gave me anothef copy with no hassle.
Time for them to shut down went in to buy a game and he gives me a used game with out asking he had an attitude I understand you can have a bad day but compose yourself I will only go to the one in islandia the staff there is awesome there is a big guy there named John who is great at his job
Unfortunately their exchange rate for bringingin a unit or games is so low and they Mark it up for putting on the floor while youre there. Have $23.00 for Gabe unit and 7 games and marked the unit alone to $55.00

Great store been shopping here for a while one thing though, I bought a new game from the counter which was fallout 4 and it took like 5 minutes for him to checkout the game and give me my change but overall this is a great GameStop 👍
Don’t ever order online they had me waiting to order Xbox like a Moran telling me I’m on line just to tell me sold out meanwhile I could of ordered from another site I will never buy from you again

Gamestop is a big rip off. They only gave me $7 for a game that i had bought for $692 months ago from them.My dad took his old Playstation 3 slim there to make some money to buy us a ps4Gamestop only offered him $80 for it.Here how gamestop rips you offYou have a expensive item thats worth 200$They try to con you and give you only $89I should have at least got 30$ back from the game. Great place for buying games but if you think youre going to make some profit off your old games. Then think again because Gamestop will surely rip you off big time by giving you a small amount of money
Not a very big gamestop but i love this place. Its close to where i live so its convenient, Customer service is always on point. I actually wouldnt mind working there (hint hint) lol. As long as i am in Bay Shore, you wont find me shopping at any other store.

Helpful staff, called to see if they had certain accessories in stock, employee pulled them and had them ready when I came in.
They werent very helpful. They waved me in the general direction of the type of game I was looking for, but the wrong system. I had to ask 3 times for help.
This location usually stocked pretty good and the gentleman that works there is very knowledgeable
The kids loveless place which they just had a little bit more affordable prices for the games but thats the price for all the games everywhere not just gamestop

2021-10-30They literally set you up just to spend more money i bought a controller and they gave me a used one when i wanted it new then went home and the whole analog had stick drift also nothing is never in stock i havent been able to get a controller with them in god knows how long and they never answer there phone so i had to drive there for no reason a couple times. better off going to a thrift store and finding what you need there just as good as them

2020-03-17Ive worked at this store, shopped at it, worked at it again. Needless to say, I have a history here. One that sometimes was rocky but is ultimately excellent. The current staff is helpful and friendly and video games are such an excellent form of escapism that I cant help but be bias and rate it at max

2021-01-16What kind of game store has no games in stock? Went there to get a new controller and new game for my kid. Had zero controllers in stock, had to buy a used which I really didnt want, and went through 4 games before I found one they had in stock. This is why brick and mortar is a dying breed.

2018-11-26Probably the worst customer service experience I ever received. Bought an xbox one x fallout bundle that came with no fallout .returned to store just to have employee tell me to call generic 1800 number ..i call the number just to be told they cant help me no employee printed my fallout code on receipt . call store to explain and was told to come back with my receipt .I return with my receipt just to be told they cant help me I have to exchange my month old xbox to hopefully get the code the employee never printed . I just feel like it was my fault they messes up ..thats how they consistently made me feel returning to the store wasting my time . I would give less than a star if I could but james needs tons of work on actual management and facilitation. Oh well way to live up to the gamestop bad customer service name .
