I still get all my gaming items at gamestop in two weeks im going to trade in my xbox 1s for the series s I just have to add the rest 190 looking forward to it being a gamer keeps me out of trouble and gamestop is the only game store to get everything thats why I gave 5 stars
A great place, with great workers. Daniel helped me pick out a game and helped me with a purchase I had mistakenly made before. He was kind , listened to my opinion, what games Im into or what not, and gave good advice as to what I should purchase next time I come around. Detailed and humble workers. Thanks Guys.
The customer service here is always awesome. My only complaint would be the size of the store. This location could do wonders with more real estate to accommodate all the foot traffic during busier hours. Especially when pro day sales or Christmas comes close, you can wait a half hour in line to finish a transaction here. I could see a sister location or basement area to handle the sheer amount of traffic that comes to this location. Otherwise, they usually have what you want in stock and never had any issues
I have been going to this GameStop location since it first opened back in 00 and things have mostly stayed the same.. Everything looks nice but theres usually a huge line regardless if theres a new game out or a midnight release. They usually only have one register open, two if youre lucky and mostly everything on the walls they dont have in-stock. And lastly; most of the workers arent aware of their own inventory.
I ordered 2 games from them by Door Dash and I missed the delivery. The games were returned to the Harlem store. Even though I called a bunch of times, to no avail and despite being open, I went to said store to retrieve my games. Thankfully, they still had my games, I showed them my receipt of purchase, and I got what I paid for. Two things that stick in my craw: A) no one made an effort to send my games again and (B) I got no call from the Harlem store giving me any options for retrieval except for going to the store directly. Thankfully I worked close enough to take a train to Harlem.

It was honestly the worst shopping experience I have ever had when shopping at Gamestop. My cashier was less then helpful, was very lethargic like she had much better thing to do then service the line on waiting customers. If not for the manager stepping in the line might have gotten longer. All in all if you dont mind a crazy wait and to feel like the people your about to pay think you gonna rob them, this is your spot. Thanks Mandie you didnt help at all.
My first time visting this gamestop wasnt a pleasant experience which is uncanny for me because I love gamestop & usually their employees. I spend a ridiculous amount of money in this store. But when I visited 3 weeks ago there was a female employee was rude & disengaged. Ill post her name when I visit there again hopefully shes been fired or relocated by then.
I have been a regular at this store for 10 years, its 5 minutes walk from home and while I never had any problems with it before that has changed. I am not joking when I say that the cashiers take 20 minutes per person. This would not be so bad if the store wasnt so packed.I just want to buy a game, but it takes me an hour to get from the end of the average line to the middle. Im changing to a faster store.
I give this store this because very unorganized I get that there’s a pandemic so less staff have to wait outside etc. I also know when you order something online you get a confirmation with 2 hours letting you know that it’s ready for pick up. So, I placed in order online Sunday night I know the store open around 10 to 11am so it was passed 2 hours haven’t received my email so since I was going that way I have done this before where I haven’t received the email went to the store they looked up my items and they gave me me my item and apologized this is at another store so I figured let me see if I can do it here so I go first I’m calling no response I’m like maybe it’s busy when get there, there are no customers just a female on her phone so I explained to her I was calling so she tell me something is wrong with the wifi so I understood I’m a very patient person respectful person I worked in retail so I understand I continue to tell I placed an order last night and I haven’t received an email yet so looks it up and says yes I see the order but you haven’t received an email so I explained that it states that when order something online you get an email within two hours you she tells me well is like 65 order placed on Sunday and when we get to them you will get an email like I said I know it’s less staff i understand but that’s when I get a little upset to myself saying people don’t appreciate there job because when I used to work at retail customer service I know that when it’s not busy whatever you need to work on or haven’t finished you should be doing while the store is empty so when I see that the store is empty and she’s telling me I have these orders I’m looking at her and thinking to myself like there’s no one in the store but me you don’t have anything to do instead of being on your phone try doing as much as you can so you don’t have extra work and you don’t have to have a rude customer coming because I was respectful as I can be. And another time at this store Friday that just passed I see a few customers waiting outside for the other customers to finish in the inside so I’m waiting I see a customer that just got there walk-in and I said to myself if I see them serving her I’m going in and that’s exactly what I did and I let the worker like hi it’s people that been waiting outside longer that her and the worker tells oh well it’s busy and I’m like it’s 3 of you one could be paying attention to who come in and out and one on register and the other one for pick up very rude and unorganized and I still haven’t received my email and this was a gift for nephew his birthday is today and he was looking forward for his game now what am I going to tell him when I suppose get an email within 2 hours but best to believe if this was them getting this type of service they would feel the same way I wish the GameStop’s on 106 and 84th & broadway was still open way better service than this one in 125th
The neighborhood and only GameStop in the area. The store is clean but not always well kept. The staff changes each time so you dont encounter the same person.The selection is much to be desired and the line in the store is ridiculous.Ill change my rating when I dont have to stand in line for 30 minutes plus.
So Ive been a huge sailor moon fan my entire life. Well there was an item that this store only had in stock and Diane (best associate Ive ever talked to) helped get it sent down to a Gamestop near me. So thank you for helping me get such a nostalgic item! Youre the best.
The game stop next to the infamous Apollo Theather are very caring and helpful. I asked them to hold a console for me until I return the next day, not only did they hold it for me but gave me a discount for my patience after their long lines and shift change. Beautiful customer service!
I pre-purchased the new switch lite at this location when it first came out. I went to go pick it up right away since the money was taken out of my card. It was my turn to pick up the item and the lady said she sold it. Even though I had already purchased the item she sold it and cancelled my order. Horrible customer service. I wanted in line for about 30 mins. I had to call GameStop head quarters to make sure I get my refund. Thankfully the customer service hotline made sure my refund was on the way. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Expect to wait at least 15 minutes in line for something. They have a good selection, but waiting in line for so long, really makes you second guess your purchase. The staff is friendly, but there are constantly new people. So I can never familiarize myself with the staff, which sucks because its a local spot.
The customer service IN PERSON is great but I’ve gone several days trying to call the store and no one ever picks up. The store is a little out of the way for me but it’s sadly the closest one to me ever since the one on 145 closed years ago so I try to call ahead to before having to make a trip in case they don’t have what I’m looking for

When you buy a product you should have it around for a good of time period in time. There products /electronics dont last it a big headache warning dont buy from here. Zero rating 0 . Defective items electronically.
The associate named Felix at this location is awesome! He went above and beyond to get me a product. They didnt have it when I went in to buy it, but he got it for me within an hour by picking it up himself from another location, then calling me when I could pick it up.I wouldnt have expected this level of customer service from a tiny hole-in-the wall chain game store, but they proved me wrong.
Nagi naji? was rude, dismissive, highly prejudice and his grooming wasnt up to par. Stuff on face crust in eye. Never made eye contact with me. And I recieved nothing but bogus information. His subordinate Waniesha. Sorry if I butchered her name. Was light positive and a pleasure to deal. Been coming to this store for 15 plus years. I will return for Waniesha. I hope naji sharpens up.
The gamestop on 125th street is the SLOWEST gamestop ever. And its not because its on a busy street its just the staff there are extremely slow at their jobs. Best to go there when the kids are in school. Line maybe a lil better. If you go on weekends BE WARN. You will wait for nearly 30 minutes to check out.....least the staff knows their games though.
The most unprofessional gamestop I’ve ever went too. Staff didn’t know how to deal with a long line and wouldn’t show me a used product I was trying to purchase because of “store policy”. Don’t go to this gamestop, they don’t know what they are doing and aren’t gamers.
So I went here to return my games and I had me receipt but because I aint bring my debit card they said they couldnt put the money on my card so the next day I go back and this time I realized the worker never gave me back the receipt so they told me to come back again and wait for the manager so I did they check they camera and seen they made a mistake and tell me I have to go back to the gamestop I bought the games from so when I did they gave me my money back with no problem but told me this gamestop could of gave me my money back since they lost my receipt so not only did they waste my time they made me waste three days of train fair
As A gamer I love playing video games. I love going to this location on 125th street between 8th ave(Frederick Douglass blvd)and St Nicholas avenue. The Employees are very kind and knowledgeable. weather you are buying or asking a question, you are treated with the same respect. I have been there during every shift to actually see if the employees are different at any time of the day. excellent place to purchase and to go for your needed gaming questions to be answer...

2022-07-20One of the cashiers was very rude to every customer that came in. I was there with my husband who was helped by a different person who was very nice. The other cashier was rude and disrespectful. We didnt have to interact with him personally but I overheard him being very nasty to several other customers while I waited for my husband.

2022-06-08I will never do business with GameStop again after having to deal with this store. They conned me into renewing my power up card yearly membership after I initially declined they claimed it was free with my current points (it wasn’t ) and failed to disclose how it was actually being paid for. I tried to call the store to sort out the issue and was disrespected and hung up on by the employee “Myesha” when I called back to get Myeshas name (GameStop customer service asked me for her name) Geri answered and tried to claim the girl was no longer there and I had to ask 4-5 times for the girls name before Geri would tell me. I shouldn’t have to ask several times to get a name that customer service asked for. She then told me I should have sympathy for the worker cause she has a “long line.” Ive worked retail many years in stores with very large lines and never once treated a customer like that and informed her that was no excuse. Ive been told for 17 days that the regional manager Chris would call me and he has failed to do so. I was also told by Geri that the warranty sticker machine was broken and that I had magically actually bought warranty (when I had not my receipt said it clear as day) there was no reason to lie and withhold information. It is very clear something wrong is going on in that store. Check your receipts! If you’ve ever gotten your power up card there or any warranty make sure you weren’t actually conned out of your points or earned rewards.Edit: years later still never heard back from the company. Yet again tried to do business with them and they are so incompetent.
