I personally have to say that I’m not a huge fan of gamestop overall, HOWEVER I really love this location and their employees. Employees are nice, helpful, polite, aren’t too pushy when they ask you if you need help, it’s the best. At other Gamestops it tends to be uncomfortable, sometimes due to space or overly pushy employees. This location is nicely sized, well formatted, and have done an excellent job finding employees. Nothing bad to say.
Please do yourself a favor and dont shop here. I have been shopping here for almost a decade and every year the employees leave and get replaced with even lazier, stingier crooks. 2020 was the last straw with me for gamestop. Their policies are terrible, they sell you refurbished junk, theyre overpriced, and worst of all their customer service blows. The only reason i wont give a one star rating is because i can remember a time when this gamestop was actually good, but that time has passed. Do yourself a favor and just go to best buy or just order on amazon.A store that tries to rip off their long time patrons isnt one worth shopping at.
The staff are very friendly, especially to an oldster like myself who enjoys gaming. Id have given 5 stars, however, Ive been surprised that at a mall location, theyve not had items in stock I expected. Otherwise its a nice location, good crew, consistent prices. Forget driving here, however, parking is a nightmare.
Cool employees that are extremely knowledgeable on what theyre selling. Whenever you walk in, youre greeted by an employee. Also, the store has a wide selection of things other than video games. Its a great place for gamers and collectors alike. This place is, undoubtedly, the best Gamestop Ive ever been to.
I have been to this GameStop before, but one of the employees kicked me and my friend out after 2 minutes when we were checking if they lowered the price on any console, and seeing what we think of buying next time we came here. Its not a bad store, its pretty big and clean, just one of the employees were retarded.
The customer service here is fast and friendly. The immediately answered my questions and received my Wii games trade-ins. They also had a good selection of used Wii games for reasonable prices. (Super Mario Galaxy 2, for instance, was for sale at $2 less than online). This store was clean and well organized and it has a parking lot with plenty of space.
Preordered NBA 2k for the PS5 and apparently it hasn’t come in to the store at 11 am. I was told it’ll come in later in the afternoon and I called and a worker said the game is in stock at the store. I went back at 5 pm and they now are saying to wait two days. They are no longer answering any calls on purpose. It’s called preorder for a reason.
Ive been to a lot of GameStops throughout New York and the water clock tower and the people that work there are some of the best they helpful their patient and they really follow through with what they say if it wasnt for them in that store I would go to BestBuy and never go back GameStop
Have been coming to this location for games for the past 13 years and one of my most recent experiences were pretty terrible. The girl working there added a warranty on my new game without my approval. I asked for it to be removed because I didnt want the warranty on a game, especially a 3DS game. (Who gets warranty on a cartridge game?) Even though it was just $3, she consistently stated that I have to have a warranty on any new game I get and that it cant be sold without one. That statement left a bad taste in my mouth and I was certain that wasnt their policy. I bit the bullet and bought the game since it was near closing time and there wasnt any other location that would have been open by the time I got there. Went home, called corporate to get a verification of their new policy of mandatory warranties on their games and they said theres no such thing. If you want people to buy your warranties, dont scam them out of your customers. Especially people that have been buying from you for years.
Wide selection of games both pre-owned and new for all the latest consoles and handhelds. Theres also a selection of Pokemon plushies, tees, mugs, keychain blind boxes, and Funko Pops. Ask any of the store employees for help if you have a general or technical question or in-store event question.
I previously went to a Gamestop on 163-80 Jamaica Ave, Jamaica, NY 11432 and I had to return some items due to my nephew and niece having the items Ive bought for them already. I also was interested in trading in some retro games from the N64, and see if I can buy a Video game for my newly acquired Nintendo Switch. When I informed the Game Adviser at the counter of what I wanted to do, he simply stated we cant take returns for accessories and we dont take Used games that are for the N64, and suggested I should sell them on Craigs list instead. I just couldnt believe this. I thought to myself if this Rep would have tried to help me out a little, I would have pre-ordered some games along with buying a game for my new Switch. So instead I went to try my luck with the Gamestop near my job, and BOOM! I simply explained to Jon why I was here, and gave me NO ISSUE WHATSOEVER with what I wanted to do today. He gave me a refund on the items the other Gamestop didnt want to take back, and I was able to trade all 8 of my N64 games with ease. Because of this, I Pre-ordered 3 games with him, AND brought a game for my Switch as well. Also, the other game advisers saw my retro games and we all got into a conversation about them as well. I love how diverse and helpful this Gamestop is and I will make sure I will do all my gaming purchases here, no matter what. Your whole staff here is a strong asset to your company, and they should serve as a model on how every Gamestop store should be ran!
IM giving you , a 2 out of 5 since u suck I hope u hear this all the managers there. I been going to the store since I was 9 in 1998 and its 2017 now Im 28 . almost twenty yeas in business! I tried applying thousands of times and racist managers dont hire me ... so hire me !its been twenty years of experience for me and I use o chill with the old managers and do the walls for free while the gave free games to thieves and got away with that! YOU suck and your business is untrustworthy
The GameStop at clock tower plaza is small but very resourceful. Has a wide variety of items here. From candies to games, collector items and more. Want any brand of Xbox theyve got it. They also have all the different types of PlayStation here. They sell any type of DS here as well and its games. If you want to a custom controller for gaming consoles theyll do it for you and order it for you. They have turtle beach headphones here as well as many more gaming headsets they also have Bluetooth headphones so you can play without the mess of wires. It may be a small store but it is an amazing small store.
I live near jamaica but i travel to atlantic its amuch more neat store.The manger is very respectful and helpfull and he makes u want to come back to the store this is why i give this gamestop 5 stars. Unlike the manger in jamaica very rude and does not want to make me spend any cash their i triead giving him respect but what i got was an a heat example i try giving him my cash juss a regular he was on the phone while dealing with me and he started screaming at me saying i tossed money to him and i appilgized cause i didnt want any problem s thats my rant. But this is the gameatop to go # Atlantic Has a great manger.
Bad service!!! I called for information on a modified plagstation 3 to see if they will take it and guy pretty much said no and hung the phone up b4 I can even say alright..I used to shop here ALOT all my midnight releases were here as well.. I know for a fact I wont be going back now...cityline here I come!!!
Buenas atenciones, fui porque mi hijo compro un juego el cual no era para la consola que tiene, fuimos para que nos cambiarán el juego y así fue. El joven que nos atendió fue muy coordinar y resolvió el problema cambiando el juego sin peros... La tienda está bien organizada y todo está muy bien organizado. Ellos ofrecen juegos nuevos o usados de segunda manos.

2022-05-23This location is nice and conveniently located but my son went in and returned a game he had bought. The game was 32.59 and my son only received 31.59 back. The gentleman working the register said to my son oh sorry I dont have the dollar, its okay right? And proceeded to scam my 9 year old for a quick dollar. This is absolutely unacceptable.

2021-10-18Dont know much about these video games, but, the guy explained everything to me (games for my 7 yr old son). Ill definitely return before the holidays. Hopefully the sales will be rolling in by then!

2021-04-19No longer what it used to be. I used to walk into GameStop looking for just that, games. Now it’s not the same. I feel like I’m walking into a souvenir shop. The games are there but so many other unnecessary items. Some may disagree with me but that just takes away from the actual GameStop feel. Back in the day you walk in they had the systems set up for play the games all around the wall, it was just different. Now it’s like a mini target or something. Took away from the experience

2021-10-16Pre-ordered a game not only did the game not come on time but they never pick up the phone when I call to see if it’s in the store. The store could be empty and they would still not answer the phone.

2018-11-24Ive actually never had a bad experience with them, they staff is always very friendly and very helpful. They truly know about the products they have in store and that helps me alot cause Im not the gamer in my family, my son is. Black Friday was also a cool experience, the staff was on top of their game, and while the line was very long that day, it did move rather quickly and staff was floating around the store assisting people on line to help move things along. Its always a pleasure to shop at that store.
