Came here for dinner during a Boston to NYC trip with a group of four 11 year old boys with very eclectic tastes in food. Perfect spot after visiting the 9/11 museum and Freedom tower.Space is very clean and bright. So many choices and they all looked amazing. What an incredible drink selection too. Alcoholic and nonalcoholic.Sushi was so fresh. Korean food was great. Peruvian food was awesome. Tacos were so filling and tasty. Can’t wait to return and try some of the other food.A must try if you’re in the area.
Cute and convenient market place for all types of cuisines. Grabbed a container to go just when it was opening up and, unfortunately, not as good as it looked or as fresh even thoigh we grabbed containers as they were putting them on the shelves. Still a cute spot. Might be better for the juices or basic café foods.
Playing on this phone and touching money with no gloves. I asked for a chicken roll and he goes and grabs the seaweed with his hands. I asked for a new and I told him why, “ you have no gloves on.” He says, “ oh sorry.” Puts on gloves, gets another one and placed the one he touched back in with the rest of them. Nasty!
Overall, a nice place to try different kinds of food just off the memorial and wall street. I give 3 stars for 2 reasons: it wasnt what we expected based on the photos on maps - unlike Chelsea Market, this isnt historic at all, its a mall canteen. Also, the hamburger we tried was mediocre with fries dripping in oil. Might be completely different at another stall, just skip the burgers
Food was ok. Setting is nice. Staff were horrible. Not even sure why they worked there. Clearly the person who served us hates her job. Couldn’t explain the products on the menu. Misunderstood our order and then insisted we made the mistake. Maybe it was just one person but since that person served us it made the whole thing regrettable.
Great market! Can be hard to find but well worth the search. It has 7 or 8 different food stalls, each covering different cuisines. Its all mostly focused on Asian-Inspired and comfort food, but youll find something for pretty much every pallette. Theres a convenience store here as well. Plenty of table seating, a nice break from the bustle of Oculus.
This review is for Umai Fish.Really disappointing. I ordered the $27 Omakase combo, which included a chefs choice of roll. What I received was a complementary miso soup, about five pieces of typical nigiri, and *drum roll* a basic Californian roll.I guess the chef could always just choose to give you a leftover basic roll, which you could get anywhere else for $6. I feel slighted and I think I shouldve chose to eat elsewhere.Added a star because the actual quality wasnt bad and the food court itself is lovely. Just not worth the time or money.
Hold up, hold up, how did I not know this place existed in Oculus?! After fixing my phone at the Apple store and wandering around the empty Oculus (was a lil sus how quiet it was, not gonna lie), my tummy was rumbling and my nose led me to this place with noms. Ive been to the old location in Meatpacking pre-covid and was so happy to see they opened up in Oculus.NOW to the important bit. Its like a food court but much classier, cleaner, and cooler. There were a couple different vendors and I settled on the Spicy Pork Bibimbap from K-Pop Haus. OMG guys it smelled so good, and I loved that they used fresh ingredients and didnt skimp on the veggies because Im like a rabbit when it come to veggies, U KNOW bun bun. After I ordered, I saw that they had FRIED CHICKEN and you know this girl loves me some fried popcorn chicken, so I had to get that too. The guys were laughing because I had already ordered but you know this girl can EAT! Sorry not sorry. Also was glad I could support local businesses, ya know! Forgot to mention that I saw a pretty good looking hipster guy whose mittens straight up looked like Bernie Sanders and omg I almost died laughing.Cant wait for indoor dining to open up again so I can try all the different vendors. After having my lil meals, I saw that they had the the cutest little tea sandwiches that straight up looked like something the Queen of England would have with her afternoon tea. Had me feeling like I was in The Crown or something. Definitely returning. I stan.
This market is so conveniently close to Fulton and inside the Oculus. Though I don’t go to the Oculus shops often I will now that I know great food is next door! There are a variety of cuisines to choose from, on my first visit I went with the Peruvian menu and ordered the paella. So good! Often I feel when I order seafood paella that I’m ripped off on the amount of seafood but this one was perfect! I also picked up a few cookies and goodies from Two Geese Bakery - it sits right at the entrance and I couldn’t leave without stopping after the fresh baked smell hit me walking in. The matcha canele was perfect and I’m afraid I could eat several in one sitting🤤The staff were super nice in explaining the menu to me, and understanding when the list of delicious-sounding items made me feel a bit indecisive 😆 Also, the inside was spotless, staff all wore ppe, and kept everything spaced out.Next time I can’t wait to try the Japanese curry (a must for winter) and more cookies and caneles. 10/10 recommend, I’m jealous of those working in the area that can come here on every lunch break!
This place is full of tasty food and fun vibes. A lot of options that can cater to everyone. To top it off, they have a bar in the the back with a good happy hour!I went to Burger Inc which is near the back of the space. It was a very tasty burger thats made fresh right in front of you. Of course I had to get tater tots! Any place that sells them is always solid in my book
Amazing New York Market. Better than Chelsea Market as it is less touristy, more of a locals place.Inside this big warehouse there are a number of amazing street food venders you must try. Just walk around and try different things. There seems to always be something slightly different going on in here.I really couldn’t recommend this place enough.
Not just a market but a treasure trove of so many different little food spot mainly went thier to try burgernyc . Thier main burger was delicious juicy and the bacon cheese fries top that off then tripped a cookie from a shop in the front it was called a cookoe monster blue and filled with peanutbutter it was to die for.
Went here for my birthday and got food at burger inc. and was blown away by the the food there. Left me and my two friends speechless for a moment. Also a very nice place to bring other people for many different occasions. Going back later today to take my girlfriend so she can experience it too.
The kpop food stand was awful, i ordered the kbq bowl which was cold, it says on menu sauce on the side and they put hot sauce on whole dish. I had to give away. The dumplings were too greesy, for the price they charge not worth it. And there were flies around our seating area. Very bad.
A food hall to grab-n-go a variety quality food. The Gansevoort Liberty Market was opened at Oculus World Trade Center Mall sometime between 2020-2021, with a fresh look.I tried the roast beef sandwich, high quality meat, fresh produce. Also tried the terriyaki chicken with brown rice (or your choice of grain), it taste good, (but heavy hand on the sauce on that day, so kinda sweet), protein and rice portion about 50/50. Its the quickiest menu item the line can make :Dotherwise, would rather try the katsu (deep fried) curry pork cutlet with rice. That looks very good on the TV display menu.**easy access location for busy commuter.**looking forward to an efficient payment method, like scan a barcode of a menu item via mobile phone, then pay electronically.
7/9/2019My first time ever inside spacious Gansevoort Market. A Modern Food Hall with 15 vendors. I had no idea of All the food diversity that was housed inside.🧀🍗🥓🍔🍟🍕🌭🌮🥗🍜🍳🍩🍝 I went because the AM New York free paper shared that a one-night only fund raising event sponsored by Makers Mark Bourbon Whiskey would be taking place there. I went solo🙋♀️.The event was called Makers Mark(et) @ Gansevoort. The admission $15.00. Makers Mark is committed to keeping water sources clean that reside beyond their spring-fed lake and natural water sanctuary. These are the water resources used to produce Makers Mark Signature Bourbon. Each $15.00 contribution will remove 3 pounds of trash from the worlds oceans and waterways.👏👏👊Upon entry each donor was given a United by Blue giftbag. Inside of each giftbag were blue tickets for meals and red tickets for cocktails. Also A cool cooper mug and cooper straws to sip your cocktails in a sustainably modern fashion. I was further surprised to discover EVERY FOOD VENUE inside Gansevoort would provide YOU the meal of your choice in exchange for a blue ticket.😄🤗My night began by ordering a🍸 There were at least five choices. I got one called Bourbon and Bubbles. My 🍸was refreshing and delicious I decided to shoot a video of its creation. #CocktailsforCleanupsMy palate and mind grew over whelmed with food choices. My food senses were tingling. But in the end I kept it Americana. I got a well done cheese burger and fries from Burger Inc. which tasted extra special as I sipped on my cocktail in my new cooper mug. Then I ordered a corn dog and Onion Rings from Wing Club.I liked the Corn dog more than the Onion Rings. My second drink was a Makers Manhattan. My stomach was full. I was totally satisfied.I gifted my surplus tickets to a cool dude I met in line. Ill definitely be back...theres so much more to eat.🤗🙋♀️
Offers a wide variety of food choices. Lotsa tables and chairs. We were a big family so we were able to try lots of food. I personally tried the mexican tacos. They were a tad bit too dry for me. Otherwise...it was an easy choice to make.Also...it was a stones throw away from Chelsea Market too.
I am mostly unenthused after trying a few of the food items across several vendors, with the exception of Cebichelsea and their ceviche. Excellent service and INCREDIBLE layered, textured, fresh, luscious, ceviche. They have one or two lettuce leafs on the bottom (which are entirely unnecessary) but every bite was different and said yum with every one. Outstanding.
Honestly expected it to be justifying a higher price with the location and less the food, but hey, everything was pleasantly, surprisingly, worth it. Got a B.A.L.T., and my friends got some fried chicken, as well as a chicken and rice dish they were both very happy with. Nothing to complain about!
Really happy to have great food back in the area. Have been having a lot of trouble finding good places for lunch and diner, and now have found a new staple. Every dish I have tried so far is delicious. Fast and friendly service. They are constantly trying new recipes. Super happy Gansevoort has come to Westfield World Trade Center
There are so many food options that youll wonder what to get. Theres Korean food, Mexican food, Japanese food, and so much more. Theres even a bar. Youll want to come back a few more times to try them all. Each of them has something unique in their menus that you wouldnt find somewhere else easily. The uncomfortable thing is that there arent many seats, so youll be scrambling to have even one table for two people. Best to-go. And with so many people ordering, it might take a bit longer for your order to be done. But the best food takes a few minutes to be ready. Its worth it.
There are many tasty foods to choose from with a full bar in the back. I love the Peruvian chicken sandwich. The vendor is in the back next to the bar. Ive had that sandwich twice so far and know I will have it again. But their fries though!! Talking about perfect, they are super crispy on the outside and hot and fluffy on the inside with an order big enough to share. So, so good!!
I order a breakfast sandwich, bacon, egg & cheese on a croissant. the cashier was rude with taking my order no greetings of good Moring. I specifically said just just salt& pepper nothing else on the sandwich. I GET MY SANDWHICH AND IT HAS MAYO ON IT ! I tell cashier I didnt ask for this and she says to me all sandwiches comes with mayo. I ask her why didnt you inform me, she walked away with no explanation. when I placed my order I said nothing on the sandwich but salt & pepper. My first and last time. They need to improve on customer service!
Although the Gansevoort market has relocated to fidi what hasn’t changed is the amazing food, ambiance, and decor. I’ve been over 20x and have never had a dull experience. Make sure to always come hungry. Due to covid it is pick up or delivery only but the food travels well!
Food court located in the Chelsea area with about 10 to 15 stalls. 2 bathroom in the back but one was out of order. They got a variety of choices from Burger to sushi, about 1/3 of the choices were various Asian cuisines. The prices are decent, not cheap but not expensive either.
Ive always loved this place and used to frequent it quite often when I lived on Jane Street. The Burger Inc. bacon burger is so good! I so miss the mac n cheese bites. Some buddies and I have split The Crew a few times...so delicious. I really wish there was a Burger, Inc. closer to my place now.
Went on a Sunday afternoon for a quick drink. Im glad it turned into a more leisurely opportunity! All of the food options in the hall looked great as well. Jed was a great bartender. His Manhattan on Fire drink was a nice slow sip that I didnt mind following up with another beverage. The vibe and space of the end bar made it a no-brainer to keep hanging out at. Will have to come back and try the other cocktails.
Discovered this place today ! I had Peruvian food, my son had Japanese, my daughter chose mexican - a perfect place for a family with multiple tastes. All the food items were deicious ! I tasted the Peruvian Chicha Morada drink for the first time, loved the taste though a little too sweet. The place was lively and great for a family lunch.
TL;DR - If you want a public indoor place to sit down and dont want to be in the crowded Chelsea Market with all the tourists, Gansevoort Market is a pretty good choice with decent food selection.Went there on a Tuesday night and there were only a dozen people there. We found an empty table pretty easily and the ambience of the place is very calm but lively. We tried the steak place and it was delicious! The ribeye cut had a nice balance between fat and lean meat, and it was cooked to perfect medium rare to give it the best texture. Not too pricey ($45 with 2 9oz steak, one on salad and one in a sandwich, and a drink). Not as cheap as Ikinari, but pretty good for a casual indoor sit down place in the neighborhood.
Im giving it 5 because it was a cool place with food from many different ethnicities and varieties. From seafood to Asian to Spanish to Colombian to vegan, this place had it...including pizza-regular and funky. The atmosphere was rad, very Cali like with open roof. Wonder how it transforms in the winter... Go for the pizza or something different. We had a Spanish tortilla but I was not impressed too much but the vibe was good so it was fine and exotic.
The market is still new and you can tell because the tables are all brand new and the market isn’t too crowded yet. Definitely prefer it to crowded Chelsea market. I’d go back. I tried the Colombian, Thai and Korean spot. Some could improve in service but the food was great.
They have a variety of stores here to eat. This is a really nice neighborhood with high standards for quality. I have not eaten here yet its just a place along my work route but I can say that they have to impress a lot of hard to impress people and they seem to be doing fine!
This place is PERFECT for a larger group or for a couple who like different things to eat. I love that there is so much variety - AND its New Yorks greatest street food in one location. We had a few tacos, which were OUTSTANDING and a rice bowl. This is def worth checking out!
Nice place very similar to Chelseas Market, DeKalb Market, and so on. The food was excellent from the three places I tried and I plan on continuing to go there.i wish I would have taken pictures, but if you go the Chicken and Waffles place is Amazing. I recommend the Yella BBQ. Skip there desert its not all that great. The other great spot is the wings spot. The wings were crisp, juicy, and well seasoned. I couldnt have asked for a better set of wings.
Attended event there sponsored by Makers Mark and 10 of the vendors were available to attendees.Every type of cuisine I tried personally was delicous.Spoke with many others and did not hear anything but raves. Will be returning there when in the neighborhood to eat often.Has a more comfortable feel than many other good food halls I have been to.Wide range of offerings make it a nice option for groups who have different palates. HIGHLY recommend.
Have been to this place multiple times because its affordable and delicious food options vs. Chelsea market, but they really need to figure out some details as it always seems like some construction or remodeling is going on. I always find it a bit hard to get a seat if you are more than 2 ppl and the line to the restrooms is always long (despite the fact that they have another one in the basement that’s usually clossed.)
This market offers quick and relatively affordable price food in this area. Majorities of food stands in this market as of 2019 are Asian inspired (Korean fried chicken, ramen, curry, jian bing etc). Ample seating (>100 seats) and they offer alcohol. May not be worth traveling to this location but if you are near there, worth considering this spot as a lunch spot.
It is located near chelsea market. You might think about about getting some grocery here, but here is just food court! There is a diverse cuisine in this food court. My favorite place is mission ceviche since their food is always consistent. Also they have Chinese noodle, Korean fried chicken, Japanese sushi, Thai food, Peruvian chicken, bar and etc.
There are some good (mostly East Asian as of Sept 2019) options here, and its much more chill compared to nearby Chelsea Market. They tell you to avoid the crowds and come here instead - and theyre correct. Youll still wait in line (its NYC, this is normal). Dont miss the cookies.
This is a market made up of about 15 separate businesses. There are tacos, elaborate waffles, cookies, hamburgers, pizza, fish and other vendors. Prices are OK. Im sure rent is high. The cookie I had, apple cinnamon oatmeal raisin, was tasty. I had tacos from Treme, again very good. Its not the most interesting food in NY, but if you work around there its a decent option. I wouldnt go out of my way though.
We tried 4 places in here. The curry place and dumplings were ok, but the rest were bad and over priced. Taco salad was 95% iceberg lettuce. The bar was closed because the bartender didnt show up today. Avacado from the poke place was rotten, and the raw salmon had scales mixed in.
This market has a great vibe and wonderful looks, but I found the food lackluster and pricey. I tried arepas, Spanish tortilla and chocolate mousse, all from different steps, and none was worth its price. The seating space is messy and doesnt match the style of the market itself.
I was sad when they moved from the old location, but most of your favorites made the trip (including mine, Lukes Lobster). Long and narrow, there are now bathrooms in the back, clearer sight lines, and what feels like more seating options. I prefer Gansevoort to Chelsea as they tend to have more food options and slightly fewer crowds.
Avant garde Meatpacking District now boasts its Gansevoort Market, which is also called by locals the “little Chelsea Market”. Only a few blocks away, it is a more intimate, less crowded and touristy, but equally fun and interesting place. Based on the same concept of street food and local produce, it has a great chilled vibe to it. After walking the High Line this is the perfect place to stop and grab a quick bite to eat. There are so many options, it’s impossible not to find something you’re in the mood for. Plus, there is a really cute seating area in the back. If the weather is nice take your food and eat it at the outdoor tables and chairs in the square down Gansevoort Street.
Gansevoort Market was quite the find on our food day in NYC. We ended the day with Gansevoort and were happy we did. Id venture to say I actually liked it better than Chelsea Market. Fewer restaurants, but we tried 3 and all 3 were fantastic. The 3 we tried were - 2 Dough Boyz, Chip, and Hold My Knot.
Not impressed. Walked around and nothing looks too healthy or worth a try. Had the Peruvian Ceviche, and, although it tasted good, Ceviche is supposed to marinate in the lemon overnight so that the acid cooks it, while here it was thrown together instantly. Also, although I paid full price as if I had an entire meal, the portion was barely an appetizer - I was still hungry afterwards. That says alot considering I get full easily. I might venture back to see if I can manipulate items on one of the stands menus to get something healthy and delicious, but only if I have lots of time and nothing better to do.
Visited this place yesterday, was nit imoressed. Maybe because it was a Friday after work, but not a lot of the places advertised on their website were actually there. Most of the places that sell sweets were not even there (Chip NYC, Milk & Cream Cereal Bar, 2 Dough Boyz). There was only desserts place there and they only had 3 cookies available....I visited the Wing Club outlet where i witnessed first hand a worker cough right into his hands, not even wearing glove, i left automatically.....So if you end up going to this place i would advise you to make sure you geet there for lunch hours?? Although they stay open until 9, i think that at certain times some of the outlets leave early.
I came here for lunch on a Saturday. Gansevoort Market is a food court which have been opening in a lot of neighborhoods in NYC. Im a fan of food courts since they have a range of options. Gansevoort Market has many options - poke, ceviche, Italian, Korean, Thai, and tacos. We finally picked Bangkok Bar since we were feeling like eating Thai. I ordered the Khao Soi curry noodles and a Thai iced tea. The bowl portion was quite large. They gave me two rather large chicken drumsticks. It was delicious - very flavorful and I really liked the pickled cabbage. I was very full at the end of the meal. I will definitely return and try the other places in the market.
This place is a great go to for lunch in the Meatpacking District. There are so many options, its impossible not to find something youre in the mood for. Only downside may be too many options. The prices are also not the cheapest, but on par for NYC. Definitely try the crepes!
After leaving here and seeing people walk by ...or even worse, walk in by accident and quickly walk right back out, i thought to myself they really missing out on 1 of NYCs many gems as far as food is concerned. The variety of food and culture mixed in make a great experience.
This is an open food court type of market- all kinds of food. I went to the garlic knot slider place where I had the meatball and the chicken parm knot. I prefer the meatball garlic knot. There are many other places to eat such as a hamburger place, poke, Luzzos pizza is also in there and it is worth going there for their pizza as it is not new york typical slice. there are tables and chairs set up bench style. this place is much smaller in comparison to chelsea market- there are restrooms as well - good place to consider getting off the highline
WARNINGS: They say it’s “open” until 10:30 Friday and Saturday. My fiancé and I walked in at 825pm on Saturday and every vendor except 3 of them were closed. This is unacceptable. Be warned before you make dinner plans. Didn’t seem that crazy to me as it’s nyc, it’s a Saturday, and we’re in Chelsea.
This is a difficult review, but food poisoning isnt to be taken lightly.I went to the GMarket a week ago with a group of friends. We all got sick afterward. The culprit was apparently the ceviche from the Peruvian Market - advertised as raw food.I mailed the GMarket management and got Very sorry about that...will pass the information on to the owners of the Peruvian booth. I heard nothing back. Followed up with another mail to the management suggesting a refund was appropriate (the ceviche was expensive) and got no reply. IF mgmnt did give my contact info to the booth, it didnt merit a reply. So, beware. To be sure, there are many good and responsible vendors at the market. But based on our experience if you get sick youre on your own. We will not be going back.Followup: Got a reply from the owner of the Peruvian Market. Very apologetic. Denied any possibility his stand was the source of the poisoning. That means our problem came from gelato, a cookie, or a slice of pizza? Highly unlikely...
NEVER ORDER FROM GRAPE LEAF. Im a lifelong vegetarian and ordered a falafel without tomatoes. After having to correct them 3 times for adding tomatoes, I ended up biting into my falafel only to find out it was beef....I threw up directly all over the table and scoulded the owner for breaking my eternal vegetarian vow based on pure stupidity. The woman behind the counter is friendly and somewhat sufficient. BY NO MEANS let your order be taken by the elderly man! he gets every order wrong everytime and shouldnt be behind the counter...

2022-03-17A great place to grab a bite to eat and satisfy everyone. Spacious and well organized, there are a wide variety of cuisines from which to choose. Most are prepared as you order. There is also a good selection of grab-and-go food. I had the fish tacos which were quite good.

2022-06-22Cool little food area with about 5-6 options. I spread out for some salad at the moment but took the chicken KATSU curry and spicy poke bowl to go. All the food was prepared under 3 minutes and delicious. Was happy I stopped here.

2022-02-24Conveniently located with plenty of food choices, from Japanese/Sushi, Peruvian, Mexican, Italian/Pizza, Bakery, Healthy choices for food and drinks. Affordable price and large portions. They have plenty of seating places but for now you need to be vaccinated in order to dine-in. If not vaccinated you can just take out.

2022-07-15Went here for the first time yesterday for lunch. I was very surprised by the number of options and variety of foods. Really appreciated the kitchen setup and how the ordering and expediting process worked. They have walls of different drink and snack options on top of all the foods. Ordered the chicken teriyaki with white rice and vegetables. The white rice was a bit mushy but the chicken and veggies were pretty good. With an entree and drink expect to pay around $15-20.

2022-01-13The paella was absolutely delicious- it has a ton of seafood, it’s creamy and filling. The sushi was super fresh and the coffee from two geese was just perfection!

2022-06-13*There are a number of options in cuisine available at this mini food court. It just opened recently (Spring 2022) so its squeaky clean and new.*It seems despite there being different cuisine stands the entire operation is owned by same company.*It is counter service but plenty of tables for you to take your food to and eat while having three large television screens to watch.* One side has to service counters that range from Korean, Japanese to Mexican to alcoholic beverages.*The other side is refrigerated beverages and the seating area.*Outside food is not allowed.*ADA compliant although I believe the restrooms are part of Oculus and not in food court.* Easy tap and pay with credit card.*Order, wait to be called by your name, and pick up food for grab and go, or stay and eat in.*It is on 2nd floor of WTC 4 near escalator to Banana Republic, H&M, and Eataly. Liberty Street is nearest exterior entrance, near Zuccotti Park (where Occupy Wall Street was bedded).*Prices are high average lunch prices but very tasty.* The location is clean. Bus your own trash to receptacles near entrance.* We were there on a Sunday afternoon. My guess is they are very busy during the week serving the office workers at WTC.Bon Appetite!Carson

2022-01-06Theres a wide variety of foods here, all at a good price. Theres pre-made dishes if youre in a hurry, and seating if youre comfortable with dine in. I got spicy pork bibimbap, which was really tasty.
