We worked with Gappsi in 2011 on a comprehensive redo of our hardscape and landscape including a new pool. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the choice of materials and overall execution. That sentiment remains true 10-years later. Jeff and his Team clean and seal the natural stone every few years restoring the original look. Just this past year we had some natural settling of the ground and Giuseppe and his Team made quick work of the fix; Gappsi demonstrated to us that they will continue to stand by their work even after all this time. I wanted to write about how happy I was with the work performed by Gappsi, Inc on my residential property (specifically modifying my retaining wall and installing a new Jacuzzi).For those of you who don’t want to read the details, what sets Gappsi apart from a customer experience:-The experience from start to finish feels like your working with a partner, not a seller. I never felt pressured into any decision and Gappsi was always looking for cost effective alternatives to keep cost down.-A “white glove” experience from start to finish. Every single employee was extremely respectful, professional and amazing to interact with-Tremendous quality of work-A company that truly balances form and function. My work was both beautiful to look at and suited my needs to a T.So to start off, this project took 3 years from start to finish. The timing was completely based on my needs changing and obviously covid. When I was ready to execute, Gappsi completed the project in less than a month.The reason the project took 3 years from my needs changing was that originally my scope of work was based around an inground heated pool. Being in a corner property with a non-level yard presented numerous challenges. I visited Gappsis showroom several times where Giuseppe (owner) walked me through options and prices, constantly looking to deliver the most value for the smallest investment.Their showroom is amazing, modern and welcoming. It really inspires a lot of ideas. One of the ideas was this amazing jacuzzi in the middle of the show room floor. Giuseppe suggested how we could save a ton of money on the project (and on energy and maintenance going forward) if we decided to instead go the jacuzzi route. We would also avoid needing things like permits from the town. Giuseppe took the time to understand my situation (married, but not planning on having kids) and explained how for myself and my wife a jacuzzi would provide year round use. It was a LIFE CHANGING suggestion.Fast forward to today, we have had the jacuzzi a little more than a month and use it daily at all hours of the day and evening. I could not be happier with the work, the price and the service.I would not hesitate to recommend this company to any and all.
Gappsi was recommended to us by friends. In June of 2000, we hired them to design our driveway and walkway using Nicolock Paving Stones. Choosing Giuseppi and Gappsi to perform the work was one of the best investments we have ever made. The design and stone work was beautiful and absolutely flawless. People have actually stopped their cars and asked us who did our work. Over the past 20 years, some of the pavers have settled causing some areas to slightly dip. I called the office to set up an appointment for Giuseppi (the owner of the company) to stop by and assess the situation. He arrived and looked everything over and said he would take care of it and drove off to his next appointment. One week later a team arrived and removed and replaced hundreds of paver stones. The driveway and walkway look brand new again, 20 years later! The quality of material and workmanship is outstanding. The team arrived on time, worked hard all day, left the work area as they found it and restored our beautiful driveway and walkway paving stones back to their original splendor. We are completely thrilled and HIGHLY recommend Gappsi to anyone considering brick or stone paver work.
Excellent company! Had travertine tile Installed 12 years ago around my pool it came out amazing! We recently just had 10 tiles that needed replacing due to the weather here in the northeast! Gappsi came out and replaced the necessary tiles. The owner and his workers are professional and pay attention to detail!! Anyone that will use Gappsi will be in excellent hands!!

My wife and I approached GAPPSI to design a major project at our home, which included the driveway, walkways, steps, planters and retaining walls. We had seen other GAPPSI projects in our community and were impressed with the design and quality of their work. They listened to our requests. The unique design presented to us was beyond our expectations. Friends and family have all complemented us on our “hardscape”.2 weeks ago, I notified GAPPSI of an issue with one of the planter walls. Guiseppe personally contacted me and within a few days, his friendly crew corrected the problem.Not often seen, is having a contractor acknowledge an issue and immediately correct it.I rarely write reviews, but this time, it is well deserved. I recommend this firm.
Gappsi Inc. assisted me and my wife in designing a beautiful Inground pool to fit into our Nassau County backyard ... with very limited space.WOW! Job Well Done!!They really helped us get the most out of our yard. We still cant believe that we were able to fit a 16 by 20 Inground pool plus a 7 Sun deck for water-chair lounging.They also helped us design a beautiful 12 flowerbox feature along 1-side of the Pool with stone pedastals on either end to support our magnificent Pentair lighted-glass water bowls ... with a 4 sheer descent waterfall inbetween!They also saved us precious back yard space by installing all of our Pool Equipment in the back of our garage adjacent to our Pool.We saw many POOL designers before making our choice, but Gappsi was the only company that ONLY uses natural stone in their work... and at a very fair price, by comparison to the all-to-common cement pavers.Surrounding our uber-modern spa-like pool is creamy-white natural Marble Stone throughout the entire yard with a white sparkling accent stone around the waterfall & water bowls.They rebuilt our 2 sets of outdoor steps, re-laid the cement floor in our 2-car garage, put in a dry-well for proper drainage and back-washing, laid beautiful natural black limestone down our entire 80 foot driveway as well as in front our our Garage and BBQ area. Our driveway was edged with beautiful Belgian Block to give it all a crisp-clean finished look.Finally, they surrounded 2 sides of our pool with beautiful 6 tall Arbourvides to complete the serine Spa-like feel.This gorgeous Pool and our entire backyard blow our friends away every time they see it. And, with the LED Color Lighing in and around the Pool & house and our amazing outdoor sound-system... we always feel like we are at a luxurious vaction resort!!We are very thankful for their high-caliber work and attention to detail,Kudos to Gappsi for a spectacular job, well done!!-Corey & SandraSeaford, NY
I had these guys seal my Travertine pool surround 3 years ago and they did a great job. I wanted to have it done again last year and nobody ever got back to me. I tried again this year with the same results. The first time I was able to have the work done it wasnt until I managed to track down the owners phone number online. Such poor follow up.
Giuseppe was very personable and very knowledgable on all aspects of pool and masonry work. He was very informative on all the questions and concerns we had. We look forward to having Gappsi install our pool and mason work!
Recently we needed the Gappsi Group services for automobile accident damage on work they did for us a number of years ago. They had done work that included demo and installation of a large Nicolock porch front entrance along with a driveway paver apron and light piers. That work was transformational to the front of our home and still looks like new.Upon contacting the Gappsi Group for the accident damage they responded quickly with a crew to access the damage and make it safe. A short time after they returned to fix the damage and also do some additional work that we requested.In short, the Gappsi Group is responsive, professional, and does quality work and we highly recommend them.
I recently had a 2nd great experience with this company. Gappsi installed a driveway and a new stoop about 6 years ago which I was very happy with. The workmanship and customer service was great. One of the blocks on my stoop cracked I contacted the company to ask if I could get a replacement block so I could do it it myself. The owner Guisseppe stopped by my house to check it out and told me a crew would be there to take care of it. In less than a week a crew showed up replaced the block and also replaced a few cracked border pavers around the driveway. Guisseppe was in contact the whole to make sure i was satisfied. The customer service is 2nd to none. Look no further if you need any type of this work done and make sure to check out the showroom for their unbelievable display of pizza ovens you might be lucky enough to get a fresh baked loaf of bread.
Horrible, horrible customer service. I spent thousands to get my pavers sealed last Summer. With the exception of having to make 15 calls to get put on the schedule there were no real issues. The issues arose after the the seal was put down. We were not informed that a little bit of water on the pavers would make them unwalkable while bare foot. They are extremally slippery.Weeks after install i called Jeff, i informed him of the situation and asked for them to be stripped, i understood it was my issue and i would have to pay for this to be removed. He assured me they would be out in the beginning of the spring. No contact since! I have made numerous phone calls and left dozens of messages. I am now left with an unusable back yard. I did get one call back when i put a request in for a new paver quote, i was told Jeff would reach out. Beware if you have issues you can not get them back on the phone especially if you are dealing with Jeff

Over the summer, I decided to build the backyard of my dreams. After seeing Gappsi’s portfolio of backyard renovations, I was beyond impressed with their expertise in masonry work and design. My vision for the backyard was the “Four Seasons” hotel. I wanted an atmosphere that felt like you were on vacation. After meeting Giuseppe the owner, I knew I was in good hands. I appreciated his knowledge and detailed explanations. Emanuelle, Giuseppe’s son created several designs of my backyard that specifically tailored to all my needs and more! Their showroom had a great variety of stones to choose from. I decided to use “mocha” travertine for my patio and “classico” travertine for my pool coping. I wanted a water feature that felt upscale. Giuseppe advised me to install several jets that would spray from the ground into the pool. This idea was brilliant! He recommended “nantucket” stacked stone on the raised foundation walls around my entire home. I wanted my backyard to have 2 grand entrances that had matching “wedding cake” staircases, using both mocha and classico travertine. We decided to build a small retaining wall around my entire backyard to polish and accentuate my thuja green giants backdrop. The retaining wall also created an enormous amount of seating for entertaining which I loved!! Roberto was the foreman assigned to my backyard project. Roberto and his crew were fantastic. They worked around the clock to meet my deadline. Their workmanship was meticulous. They delivered the elegance and sophistication I wanted! This project was very expensive but totally worth the investment! Giuseppe surpassed my expectations!! My backyard blows the four seasons away :) Hiring Gappsi was the best decision!
We took on a big backyard renovation this summer using Gappsi in Smithtown. We went to the showroom last year and from the minute we went in and met Giuseppe, the owner, we recognized we would be in good hands. We were nervous and kept putting the job aside out of fear of something going wrong and knowing we would be spending a large amount of money. We felt at ease with his wealth of knowledge, and especially after visiting jobs completed by Gappsi, we knew we were in good hands. We also were impressed with his level of patience and how he answered every single question we had and never rushed us out of his showroom (he even met us on a Sunday when the showroom was closed).Our planning began with having to remove an existing disaster of an old pool surrounded by patios and fencing in an upper level of the yard; we would be faced with new grading issues and also trying to savage some trees we didn’t want to lose. Giuseppe planned every detail meticulously and reassured us the job would be done perfectly. Finally this summer, a year later, we put in a new in-ground pool and surrounding patios. The backyard was designed and transformed into a beautiful setting, and we absolutely love it. It gives us a feeling of being away on vacation! The stone is absolutely beautiful that we picked at the show room, and the workmanship is perfection. The workers show up every single day, weather permitting and stay very late. They all work very hard. Giuseppe has a lot of patience and any question/problem that would arise would be discussed almost immediately and rectified.I highly recommend Giuseppe’s expertise when it comes to masonry and design. We couldn’t be any happier with our backyard. We used our pool more this summer than in the past 18 years! Everyone who comes over immediately comments how beautiful the yard and pool look. If we have any other work to be done, it would be hard to go with anyone else! If you are thinking of using Gappsi, you are making the best choice!
I had an appointment At 12 PM with Jeff yesterday, at 9 AM he called to say he could not make it. He said there was a mixup in his office and he was going further out east. I was not happy that three hours before he supposed to be at my house he canceled. But I understand things happened. He asked me to send him pictures of my backyard which I did right away and then we spoke afterwards. I Explained the measurements and what I wanted done and he said he’ll get back to me by the end of the day with the price. I did not hear back from him so I texted him last night asking for a price. I did not hear back from him so I text him again this morning asking for a price. I did not hear back from him and now it’s 730 at night and I said to myself forget them. I see by other reviews that they are not good in following through and getting back to people and now I am one of them . Very disappointing

Gappsi installed an asphalt driveway and used Nicolock Granite City blend pavers for the apron, wings and walkway. It looks great.I am looking forward to working with them to finish my basement at the earliest, and I will be using them to seal the pavers next season.
After sales service or maintenance culture, it is key to any investment made to a property whether it be indoor or outdoor. The above is critical when you hire a contractor. About eleven years ago my family and I decided to invest in an outdoor property of which we call a mini Caribbean vacation resort in our home. The first thing that came to mind was maintenance down the road, and after shopping around for a couple of months, we stumble into Gappsi and asked the necessary questions. We came to the conclusion that Gappsi would be hired. Gappsi had the resources that we were looking for. They have designed department, pools, masonry, construction landscape and stores. Upon further investigation from previous clients of Gappsi, when they under take your job, an alliance of a long lasting relationship is formed. Giuseppe, the CEO is an email, text message, or a phone call away to do what they do best, maintenance to keep the investment going just as it was years when it was built. This culture that Gappsi has in business has made the company a household name in Long Island. Many schools in the town of Brookhaven has a mark of Gappsi stones on the school’s gate. Gappsi installed my patio and pool deck about 15 years ago and it still looks as good as the day it was installed. Twice I needed Gappsi to repair my ladder anchors that deteriorated and a broken brick. The owner Giuseppe Giuseppe was quick to return my call and sent the crew right over to do the repair. Giuseppe is professional and trustworthy and his team does quality work at a fair price I have recommended Gappsi many times.
I respect a company that stands by its work! I had my front and side steps built by Gappsi in 2017 and after this particularly rough winter I had some stones loose. The owner came to my house right away to inspect and had his crew fix within 48 hours! They have stayed in constant touch with me the whole time to make sure I am satisfied and I can say, so far I am! I get lots of compliments on these steps and the stones stay cool in the summer..
Gappsi Group is the best outdoor contractor on Long Island. They did an excellent job with our pool, patio and covered porch. Gappsi is a one stop shop for all outdoor construction. They have an in-house design, a great stone/material selection, pool, grill and outdoor kitchen equipment, and anything one can imagine outdoors. And most importantly, they have a very capable crew to make it all happen. We now spend more time outside than ever before. The project was well worth the cost and greatly increased the value of our property. I will definitely return to Gappsi for our next project. Highly recommend!

Gappsi designed and built our dream backyard years ago and it still looks as beautiful as when it was first done. We had Gappsi do our pool patio with Travertine , the design they came up with is beautiful , we get compliments all the time it’s very unique. They incorporated a fire pit and a raised sitting area with a waterfall into the pool . If you are gonna do a pool patio you have to use Travertine trust me you will be amazed and you will be completely satisfied with the work from this great company, very hard these days to find hard working and dedicated people . Where to begin... We started working with Gappsi 10 months ago on some masonry work and a pool renovation. That turned into, Masonry, Sod work, Landscaping, Pool Renovation, Turf, a Basketball Court, Trampoline installation & and interior renovation that was botched by a previous contractor. We worked with Giuseppe, Joe, Jeff & Martin. First, let me just say the level of professionalism is unmatched. Giuseppe runs a tight ship and his project managers (Joe, Jeff, Greg, Martin) take great pride in their work and in this company. Their workers are incredible. Their workmanship is top notch.. they arrive early- work long days, are friendly, professional and trustworthy. We are beyond impressed and grateful for their work, attention to detail, recommendations & follow through. They have become like family over the last year and sad to see our projects come to an end. Weve been dealing with Gappsi for over 5 years. They have refurbished our gunite pool as well as installed travertine around it. They also built an outdoor kitchen and fireplace that has transformed our backyard. His guys are very hard working and accomplished in their trade. Tosh, Martin & Jeff are very knowledgeable, respectful and are very detail-oriented. They stand by their work and Guiseppe is always there to solve any issues that may occur. We highly recommend Gappsi to do any home improvements inside and outside.
Gappsi did our pavers in our backyard in 2010. The ground settled and the back part of the pavers started buckling. We called Gappsi and Giuseppe (the owner) came and looked at it and said that they would fix it.The crew came and pulled out the pavers, filled in and flattened the part that settled and repaved that section of the patio for us AND he did not charge us.We were very grateful for the customer service they gave us and they also fixed some pavers on our front walkway that were loose as well.I highly recommend as they stand by their work and their product.

He said had crew in area and repair done within hours ! August 2021- We were introduced to Giuseppe and his company Gappsi, 14 years ago. In 2007, Gappsi recommended, designed, and installed the coping, our stone patio, retaining wall and fence. Giuseppe recommend granite, instead of a man-made paver. He said it would be very low maintenance, never fade, cooler on your feet, and it would be absolutely stunning. He was straightforward, fair, and he kept his word.14 years later we placed our first maintenance call. Jeff and his team power- washed and re-sanded the patio. The team was professional, polite, thorough and meticulous. Gappsi was the right company to enhance our backyard living space. You can’t go wrong when choosing Gappsi for any of your projects.

We would highly recommend Gappsi! They are very professional do a thorough job and most of all stand behind there work. We hired Gappsi a few years ago to fix our pavers around our inground pool the were caving in,Fill paver joints with Polymeric sand, the empty spaces found between each papers where I would spend hours pulling out weeds all the time then seal the pavers. They did an Awsome job! We recently had an issue with the pavers near our skimmers I messaged the owner Giuseppe he responded and was at my home to look at the problem. He had a crew come by and fix everything. The company answers your calls, the workers are courteous and knowledgeable. Gappsi is a great company!!! I give them 5 stars.

I highly recommend Gappsi, Inc for any of your future home design work. I have never had the pleasure of working with highly skilled professionals. I have used them for over 20 years, from 110ft retaining walls, to in ground swimming pools, the stone work around the pool to totally renovating and transforming my home in Country Woods to Stucco and Stacking stone. My father also used them to do a 110 ft driveway and walkway in pavers as well as all around his inground pool. He recently installed a chair lift into the cement that can lift my handicapped mom in and out of the pool. I will look for photos but as for now DEFINITELY hire Giuseppe Abrancati at Gappsi for any of your future plans.
About sixteen years ago I had the people at Gappsi come in and to a complete exterior upgrade with new siding and a roof. As part of the work they had to remove and reinstall the clamps that holes my electric line in place. Now sixteen years later I noticed that the plastic on the clamps had broken and the electric line was no longer secured. With just one call to Gappsi, Giuseppe Abbrancati came over the next day and noted the problem. Within a few days a crew member came out and fixed the problem with new clamps. That is what I call customer service!

This company was fantastic from the owner to the installers to the servicemen. They absolutely transformed my backyard into the a pool paradise that my family will love for many years. Guiseppes crew were top notch. Tosh was extremely knowledgable and competent with the install. He was able to give me great recommendations and insight. His implementation of various features was also great. Greg had excellent vision for the layout of the bar/kitchen area including stones that were picked. Both workers kept me well advised of their schedule ahead of time and kept me appraised of any hiccups and how they were going to fix them. Guiseppe was like having an uncle in the business. They treated me like family. Very pleased. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Gappsi installed a beautiful travertine patio in our backyard about 5 or 6 years ago. Recently a couple of the tiles came loose and presented a hazard. We called Gappsi and they responded immediately, replacing the loose tiles at no additional cost to us. Their clean up was a bit sloppy and we couldnt get some of the stuck cement off by ourselves. So they returned and power washed the entire patio and put in new sand, again at no additional cost to us. The patio looks good as new. However, the travertine scratches very easily, something that we were not aware of when we made the purchase. Had we known this we would have gone with a different material.
I am writing this review for my family. Years ago my parents had a driveway with pavers installed at their home. Several years later Gappsi is still standing by their work. There were recently some minor fixes that needed to be corrected after all these years. We only had to ask Gappsi once, and they were here a few days later address what needed to be done. We are very pleased with our experience using Gappsi and would highly recommend them.
Gappsi redid my entire pool. They installed a new liner, checked the plumbing installed new coping and a new bluestone patio. All the work was completed on time and at a great price. More importantly, the crew, made sure to take care of an issues that arose quickly and happily. The lead on the team, Greg, was extremely knowledgeable and affable.I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have work done on their pool.
Gappsi installed a very large driveway with natural granite pavers several years ago we were very happy with the install and the granite pavers; they have not changed in colors or texture. We needed some minor repairs done recently and they did a beautiful job - I do not hesitate to recommend them.
Highly recommended! The Gappsi team and Mr. Giuseppe Abbrancatti have once again earned my respect, appreciation and sincere gratitude for the magnificent job they have done at my home. The original project was done almost 5 years ago and this year I submitted a request for service to repair/replace stones in some areas that were damaged. The Gappsi team responded quickly. They made no promises because of their existing, heavily booked schedule but within 2 weeks and a total of two brief visits they repaired the problems and my yard was back to its magnificent original condition. These guys really stand behind their work, even five years later!This year 2020 provided us with significantly more ‘home time’ and each time we set foot into our backyard we were so thankful we made the decision to go with Gappsi for our backyard project. I would add that Giuseppe was the only contractor to present a layout that made the best use of the space in a way that nobody else could have imagined. The moment the job was complete, we knew that for as long as we live in this house, we would be enjoying this backyard in a way we never would have imagined possible and here we are five years later still feeling great about this decision. Gappsi is a real professional company And stand behind their work. They are a design build firm. Before a job is started, a complete set of drawings in 3-D are done and approved by customer. gappsi installed a 3000 sq.ft driveway with a designed layout of different style pavers. My backyard also came out amazing.They installed a beautiful pool with 3000sq.ft. of pavers around it. They also installed a built in barbecue with bar combo all done in cultured stone to match house on 800 sq.ft.. of natural stone. In addition, they built a 400sq.ft. Deck off patio that is a hot tub oasis. The landscape design is amazing as well.You will not find a better company to deal with.
Giuseppe and his team at Gappsi do outstanding work, I’ve worked with them over 4 years and they’ve done my natural stone patio, pergola, and fire pit installation. The whole crew is very professional, they work hard, finish on time, offer tremendous customer service, and stand by their quality of work. Weve had a few minor issues over the years and they always are responsive to my concerns and willing to remedy the situation. Based on our experience, I plan on utilizing Gappsi when we are ready to drop in the pool and other renovations and Id totally recommend them if anyone I know.

In the summer of 2009 my wife and I decided to put a pool in, after countless hours of research and speaking with friends, neighbors and relatives we decided to go with Gappsi based on reputation and high quality of landscape design.. Our pool has been the talk of our friends since that day, fast forward to 2012 where me and my wife decided to build a full outdoor kitchen and pavilion.. Again we conducted research and again choose Gappsi. Giuseppe was always at my house guiding me threw our decisions . Unsure what we wanted Giuseppe spent hours patiently guiding us through what we wanted... And I always pushed for bigger. 10 years later I noticed a few hairline cracks in the one of the slabs.. I immediately reached out to Giuseppe to hire him to repair work.. Much to the amazement of my wife and I, not only did he repair the damage, he completely redid all the granite and stone work as he didnt like the way it looked.. We never noticed the issues with the stone work.. When the job was completed and we were to settle up the bill, Giuseppe looked at me and said there is no charge for this. I stand by my work and the high quality work I deliver to my customers. To this day, I am still shocked after 10 years he would do this, he guarantees all his work. a true professional through and through.. I would recommend Gappsi to anyone for who is concerned about quality and wants high level customer success.
We decided to use Gappsi for a large renovation project and we are so happy we did!! The project included redoing all the stone work facades around our home, curved retaining walls, a large porch and steps, another stoop, a couple of very large patios (including a pool surround), an outdoor fireplace and an outdoor kitchen. To say the work they did was outstanding is an understatement!! It is world class from beginning to end. Working with Greg was a true pleasure as he was always available to answer any questions or address any inevitable concerns, and he had some great ideas. Their pricing was very fair and the materials that were available to use were amazing! We didn’t want to do the standard pavers which are also very nice, but they had a selection of natural marble and travertine products that we did not see anywhere else! The end result is stunning... but most importantly were the workers that did the job. They literally worked from early morning until dusk, and were the most accommodating people to have around. They were respectful of our property and took huge pride in their work, and their work was truly magnificent. So look no further because Gappsi will not disappoint!

I contracted Gapsi to build an in-ground pool with a patio fireplace and landscaping (the whole works!) It was definitely a lengthy project but I had no doubts on the quality and customer expertise that Gapssi delivered upon once engaged. The entire process was seamless from choosing materials , 3 D rendering and execution . It could have not turned out any better. My backyard looks stunningly beautiful. Quality indeed comes at a price. Mr. Abbrancati delivered on all his promises but most importantly he reassured me the work was going to be done on a timely and efficient manner.
Gappsi inc. i hired this company to do a complete renovation of my backyard. I originally called at first and spoke to the owner Giuessepi and explained to him about my project and what I was looking to accomplish. He assured me not to worry at all; an appointment was then scheduled with a field supervisor. Greg and Martin showed up on a scheduled date. Both very well spoken professionals gave my wife and myself great ideas and a few different designs as well. We then visited their showroom in Smithtown to go over drawings and to look at various natural stones. great selection of travertine etc. Crew showed up on time and our renovation started from demolition to completion of the pool patio,firepit, and outdoor kitchen. Martin and his team of guys were just amazing. Martin by far is an amazing professional craftsman along with Pete and Moldino. Great masonry work by Mario and Greg who coordinated the job. i would highly recommend this company.
I have had a very unpleasant experience working with Gappsi to date. Started work in our yard with them over a year ago, work is still complete and has been damaged now due to being left incomplete over winter. Concrete was sprayed on the side of my house, I was promised this would be fixed, but then they winterized their vehicles and have refused to return calls/texts or emails since. I gave the benefit of the doubt and waited until spring, but now its summer. The portion of my yard left incomplete is now a 30ftx10ft space i cant use and will be expensive to fix using another company. More than $10k in services and nothing to show for it but a loss of yard space.

My husband and I hired Gappsi to seal the pavers around our pool and our driveway. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. The color of our pavers is so vibrant now , we had no idea how beautiful they were and There’s not a trace of the weeds that had previously been growing between the stones. I contacted Gappsi to clean and regrout my patio because they are located in close proximity to my home and they had great reviews. The problem is the salesman was quick to come to my house to give a free estimate 3 months ago and said he would be back to do work 2-3 weeks and I am still waiting. They are not very reliable and my guess is that they work on commission and only opt to do the more expensive jobs!

I never thought I would find a company that would be able to do everything I needed in my backyard. It is such a relief to only deal with one company for everything. Gappsi did my pool, electrical work, Stone around the pool, basketball court, and the netting. The best part is that you deal with the owner directly. For many years we struggled to find an honest pool company . Some pool companies are full of empty promises and terrible quality work. Gappsi has been a breath of fresh air. From the first meeting the Gappsi team was honest and caring about what I had envisioned for my house. They transformed my backyard into a beautiful retreat! The pool is amazing, the spa with the led lights is spectacular at night. Gappsi kept us informed of everything that was happening and we really appreciated that. I have had work done by GAPPSI several times including patio around my in ground pool, my patio next to my house, and my front walkway and steps. In fact, my basement wall had a crack in it, so they removed my previous patio, dug down and repaired the basement wall, and then installed a new patio with 2 sets of stairs.This year part of the patio around my pool was becoming uneven near the diving board. Even though that was 16 years old, Giuseppe, the owner, came in person and said he would repair it. In addition the water wasn’t draining at one end of the patio during heavy rains. Again, Giuseppe sent his workers to fix it by installing a drain.I was not charged a dime for all these repairs. That is unbelievable customer service! I will definitely have future work done by GAPPSI!- A very satisfied customer!!!

Gappsi built our pool 3 years ago and we were very happy with their service. I had my pool built by Gappsi six years ago, they did a great job on the original build. Recently one of the large coping stones covering the automatic cover split in half. I contacted Gappsi hoping that I could buy a replacement stone and hoping that I wouldnt have to buy a whole pallet. The office person gave the information to Giuseppe and within a week his guys came and not only gave me a replacement stone, but Giuseppe didnt even charge me for it.
Working with Gappsi was nothing short of fantastic. Their attention to detail and overall professionalism was second to none. I chose travertine tiles for my backyard and I couldn’t be more pleased. The uniqueness of the stone is something I couldn’t find with any other vendor on Long Island. Giuseppe, the owner, is hands on and takes part in overseeing the work that’s done. We had an in ground pool installed by Gappsi pools. We met Giuseppe over a year ago when we first decided to have a pool installed. We developed a relationship with Giuseppe after months of designing the pool and realized we needed time to install it.Over time Giuseppe sent us holiday messages and never pressured us to get the pool. When we were ready we received a couple of estimates and he wasn’t the cheapest not most expensive but he was comparable. It has been a pleasure dealing with Giuseppe through a very difficult process.If you ever have construction done at your home it is hard no matter who you use BUT when the owner is responsive and resolves all problems even those not caused by his team you feel comfortable and secure.Giuseppe is honest and reliable and his team does a wonderful job. Our pool and patio is absolutely gorgeous and we will use him again and again. I really couldnt say nicer things about Gappsi - they were a pleasure to work with from start to finish! Everyone we interacted with - and there were many - was extremely friendly and welcoming. I never felt like I was being sold too, I felt like they were helping me design what my wife and I wanted, and presented different options that helped align that with our budget. They completely tore down our old deck, installed our new patio, and built our new stairs within 2 weeks - there were no delays outside of poor weather, and no additional charges outside of what we agreed to at the beginning. My husband and I recd 3/4 estimates to build a pool and settled on Gappsi the same day after talking with Giuseppe. While they were more expensive than the other estimates we recd we based our decision off of Giuseppes amazing reputation and caring personality and we’re glad we chose to pay extra for a piece of mind and excellent workmanship. From the get go we felt like we were in great hands with Giuseppe and he assured us the project would go great which it did. Tosh, the owner of the pool company was very genuine and even in the Covid environment his team managed to finish our pool in time to use it in 1 month and 3 weeks despite the pool supply shortages due to COVID. His guys worked really hard through the heat waves (97+ degrees) to ensure everything was done to perfection. We trusted Tosh to help us pick a liner and it came out amazing! He even came on install day to help his team to ensure a perfect fit. On the final day, his worker forgot a part for the pool, and came back to our house at 7:30 pm to install it just because they promised it would be done the same day! Just unbelievable customer service- Ali is a gem!We really appreciated Giuseppe and Toshs patience with us as it was our 1st time building a pool! They are both class acts and were always available to answer any questions we had. We couldn’t be happier to have had them install our pool. My wife and I were very interested in a wood fired pizza oven and did our research. We had decided on the Alfa Oven 4 Pizze model and we were glad to see that Gapssi was a retailer. Their salesman was quite helpful and went over the many other pizza oven options they offered in addition to the Alfa Brand.At the time of the sale, they were quite thorough in confirming the exact site for delivery which was reassuring since we live on a hard to find private road.They were very accommodating when it came time to schedule delivery.Overall we give them high marks!!

2 years ago Gappsi built and installed a beautiful new patio and outdoor kitchen and fireplace. I noticed the front part of chimney showed signs of cracking probably due to excessive heat from burning wood. I made one phone call to Guiseppe and he had his guys come over within 2 days and fixed the cracked bricks! They do quality work and more important they stand by there work! I will always recommend them to my family and friends. Thank you again for standing by your work!
We wrapped up a several month project with Gappsi for a gunite pool and custom pavillion .... and all I can say is Wow! The workmanship is beautiful. Giuseppe Gappsi, the owner, had great ideas about how to layout the pool and Pavillion yet he was receptive to feedback to ensure the project delivered what I had envisioned. Tosh, who led the pool portion of the project, was very knowledgeable and ran a great crew. He was patient and took the time to explain options and how systems worked once installed. Despite a few bumps (which is always expected in a project like this), he delivered a well constructed and all around beautiful pool. The craftsmanship on the Pavillion and Patio is equally as impressive. Greg’s crew took their time with the stonework to ensure it was impeccable (Greg’s dad was great to deal with!). Martin and his carpentry team did beautiful finish work— the details are perfect. Overall my yard was transformed by The Gappsi family and I couldn’t be happier. I expect responsiveness and attention to detail and Gappsi delivered. I would highly recommend them for your pool and outdoors spaces.
Gappsi has a tremendous business with the customer as the center of that business. He has done great work at our home in the front and backyards. Guisseppe is an iconic mason. He has trained all his masons while sharing all of his skills. If any repairs are needed his work is exceptional and his service is of excellence.We would always recommend Gappsi for our home. Turned an uneven cemented backyard with an old pool liner and slide into a Backyard oasis. We love it so much that we already opened the pool for the season. The Gappsi team are efficient, cost effective, quick, and professional. After doing extensive research and obtaining multiple quotes, we could not be happier with our decision. I have had work done by GAPPSI for about 19 years. Ive had my driveway and entrance to my house done about 18 years ago.It came out beautiful. Ive had my backyard patio done with paving stones about 7 years ago.Recently I had a problem with the pavers in the back. I called and a crew was sent and completely addressed my concerns making it to look new. The workers were terrific and did a super job (top notch). All I can say is GAPPSI is a class outfit that stands behind their work. If you choose to use them you wont be disappointed. I would rate them 5Star Plus.
FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! Jeff Jimenez and his team did an impeccable and professional job redoing my entire backyard with artificial lawn. The framing, the leveling, was seamless. This August 2020 I called Gappsi to install synthetic turf in my back yard alongside my patio because i knew they would go a great job as they did with the travertine patio. I was Right! The turf they install looks amazingly natural and feels soft. Jeff and his crew were dedicated and professional from beginning to end. Jeff patiently explained everything to me, answered call my questions, and made sure i was satisfied with the job. Their customer service is impeccable!!! Gappsi uses quality products and does Quality work. I highly recommend them. Not to mention my pup loves the turf alsoBack in 2015, Gappsi had also done an amazing job installing the Travertine stone we chose called Fiorito that Gappsi himself imports. It’s truly a beautiful stone and unlike anything else we has seen on the island. The crew operated very professionally. They always showed up when they were supposed to, worked hard all day, and cleaned up at the end of the job. Ask to speak with Giuseppe the owner. If you want brick or stone work done on your property, call Gappsi, they know what they are doing. In 2006, owner Giuseppe designed beautiful patios and walkways around my house. This year, we ran into a problem with the walkway covering the septic tank which needed attention. After our contractor purged the septic tank, the Gappsi crew with operations manager Jeff Jimenez, worked with me to get the walkway put back together. What a great job. Is very hard to discern that any work was done. In addition to the excellent technical work, Jeff and the Gapssi crew were quick, reliable and polite. It is very refreshing to know, that after the installation 12 years ago, Gappsi stands by their work and their word.
Gappsi put in our pool patio, bar and pre-built pavilion last year. Greg was great and extremely helpful from the planning through the oversight of the work and Danny and his team did an awesome job putting it all in. Throughout the whole process everyone was attentive and always available to answer questions and of course everything came out beautiful.

So there was no question that we would use him again in 2019 to install an in ground pool, pavers around the pool and a bocce court. From the moment my wife and I met the sales manager Jeff Jimenez we knew that Gappsi was a company we wanted to do business with. 3 years ago we was shopping around for a company to do our holiday lights. We are more than pleased from the start when the crew arrives, and then the final product. Year after year we try to do a little bit more and change the design around. Called to have an estimate for my pool deck to be re-done with some artificial grass and pavers. Jeff arrived at my home in May, discussed different concepts/ideas for the plan, and left telling me he would be in touch. His visit was quite pleasant, so I felt lucky/confident that Id get the work done without having to look all over Long Island for a reputable company. Alas never heard back. I left him a message, to which he responded via voice mail saying I havent forgotten about you, but again never heard back, even after I phoned him a third time.Called the office about two weeks ago (now August), left a voice mail, and a lady from the office phoned me and said shell have him call.Still waiting. Time for me to move on.
I hired Gappsi in 2017 to renovate an existing vinyl liner chlorine pool and old wooden deck. They transformed it into a beauitful salt water vinyl pool with auto cover and travertine stone patio with fire pit and stone bench and put together a sun gazebo, and replaced the old winter cover to a loop loc cover. In the beginning there were many complications throughout this project and took longer than expected to complete, in the end it was a success. Although the auto cover was complicated to install and set up, it has been the best investment. It saves time on cleaning the pool as well as chemicals . Everyone admires the stone work and pool. It has provided and will continue to provide many years of satisfaction and enjoyment for the entire family.Gappsi recently came back in 2020 to install a porcelain tile floor in the pool house, as well as renovated the landscaping in the backyard. After the landscaping was done, some of the work needed to be fixed, Giuseppe send some workers to get the job fixed and complete. They have come back year after year to replace stones that have cracked or got loose over time. I plan on having the Gappsi team come back and renovate the basement in the near future.
I have used Gappsi for several home improvement projects. They had done exceptional work on each project. They have done the paving stones around my pool, put on a new roof on my house and redone the chimney and stucco work around the house. On each project, they have been professional, worked efficiently and completed the work on time and at the agreed upon price. I would highly recommend Gappsi for all home improvement projects.
Gappsis work on our backyard was incredible. We could not be happier. We have a relatively small property and Gappsi put together a design that made the most of it. We found the crews to be extremely knowledgeable about the details of the project. They were professional, hard working and diligent. The pool is absolutely gorgeous and of the highest of quality. The masonry work came out amazing. Giuseppe was extremely responsive to any calls and questions we had during the entire process. He took the time to explain things and go through our options. I contracted Gappsi several years ago to construct a rather large patio with pavers, in addition to this I had them do my driveway and walkways. Gappsi is the best!!! They installed Travertine stone around our pool area and patio over 9 years ago and not single stone has moved. They came back 2 years ago to seal it and it looks brand new. Their design and craftsmanship exceeded all of our expectations. We even had them back 3 years ago to replace our driveway and front walk. Giuseppe has surrounded himself with courteous and professional staff. Phone calls are returned promptly, they show up when they say they will and they complete the job from start to finish, without running off to other jobs to leave you hanging. We had a major multi-phase project planned including new deck, hot tub, 2 pergolas, patio, pool, and paver driveway/walkway. My wife, who is very detail oriented and has good vision of what she wants, shared with Giuseppe. He listened and late one night prior to going on vacation, came up with another set up plans, that while not completely what we projected, we were blown away with the conceptual view he created and agreed.The total project was a lot of moving pieces and with different crews and took more time than we wanted, some admittedly related to weather but I also thought the Gappsi was much in demand. That was the disappointing part of the project outside of dealing with the town, but I must also say that the quality of work and the final results were better than we expected. Giuseppe takes great pride in his work and that of his team. Martin and Peter did an outstanding with the deck, the patio/driveway and pool came out great. We were also referred to a Landscaping partner that did a great job and provided very useful information.I never take the time to write reviews but I was truly impressed with Giuseppes professionalism and commitment to providing a project exceeding his customers expectations and I appreciated his personal involvement with any little issue that may have come up.If you want a high quality outdoor project, you cant go wrong with Gappsi.
Our first encounter with Giuseppe occurred almost 14 years ago when another contractor left us with a pile of material and unfinished work. A friend recommended we contact Gappsi. After visiting our home and seeing our plight Giuseppe told us not to worry. We wanted to transform our backyard into a fun place for our family and our friends all to enjoy. Gappsi made our dream come true. They installed a beautiful vinyl pool and limestone patio for us. My experience with Guiseppe started before he was Gappsi many many years ago when he first started out and did work for my parents. They were very pleased. Naturally when I was searching for a company to install my pool and do masonry work I turned to Gappsi in 2011. Guiseppe was involved from the beginning. The work came out great. Gappsi did a complete pool, patio and driveway installation using granite pavers. Several years later I needed some additional masonry work done and once again turned to Gappsi and without hesitation they completed the work. Guiseppe is available if problems arise and works to address them quickly. I recommend Gappsi and think youll be pleased if you choose them too.

This is an outstanding company!! My paver Patio was ruined over 1 year ago by incompetent workers who had done a Horrible seal job complete with footprints embedded on the pavers and all over the patio as well as my pvc fence ruined. I called Gappsi pavers and Jeff Jimenez came over to our Home, he sat with us for over an hour, immediately calmed us down and told us “don’t worry we are going to fix this patio for you”. Jeff is a great person. True to his word he and his crew Willie & Jose showed up at our home and for a few days worked so hard to make our patio look better than brand new! We are so happy. Gappsi transformed our backyard into a resort! We were living in our house for 12 years when we decided to create an entertaining backyard. We met with Giuseppe to design a backyard paradise. We discussed many ideas and looked at different layouts. Working together we designed a plan that gave us what we were looking for at a budget we could afford. Gappsi put ideas to paper and gave us a computer printout of what our project was going to look like.Our project began with a top quality pool. Then came our masonry work, you will not find better masons then Gappsi. The most important part of the project for my wife and I was the pool house. Gappsi built a very functional pool house, where we eat dinner all summer long. Thanks Giuseppe , we love it! The project included a hot tub and fire pit to keep our backyard fun going all year long. Our wish list also included a half court basketball court (actually my kids wish list) which they use all the time.Gappsi is a very professional company that listens to its customers and truly tries to make each and everyone of them feel special and part of the family. Gappsi has performed work at my home for nearly 15 years. Driveway pavers, pool patio and resurfacing of a gunite pool. The Company does excellent work but more importantly if you have an issue; Giuseppe, the owner, and Tosh will make it right. They’re not the cheapest guys around, but you get good value coupled with the assurance that the company is reputable and backs up its work.
In 2010 we had a masonry job completed by Gappsi the new design and stone work came out great (we get compliments all the time)! Over the years, some of the stone work needed to be leveled and some weathered stones needed to be replaced. Within a week of contacting Gappsi, they came and took care of the minor repairs at no cost. Gappsi is a great company and takes good care of their customers. Thank you!
Gappsi was the pool company we used for our pool and we would recommend them every time, the design and layout came out beautiful!!! just like they showed us in 3d, in addition there customer service is the best.i had a small issue with my spa and they came over immediately and fixed the issue .we are very lucky we picked them as our pool company.Rachel
In 1993, Guiseppe installed the pool patio around the new pool we had put in. That was 28 years ago! The pool deck is still in perfect condition and there has been no settling at all. The reason, I believe is that Guiseppe took the extra effort to use rebar in a real cement bed and attached those bars to the pool itself. He took no short cuts. His English wasn’t the best back then.In 1999, we completely rebuilt our home. The contractor we used then installed the patio by our house. Unfortunately, that patio didn’t hold up as well as Guiseppe’s work did. The waves on this patio made it really hard to have a level table to sit at. Not sure what to do, I looked up Mr. Abrancati to see if he was still in business. To my surprise, I found his number and phoned. His sister answered and took a message. Sure enough he phoned me back and knew exactly who I was. Could you imagine?Soon after he came over and I showed him the areas where the other guys’ work had failed. Joe looked at it a few minutes and said okay. Okay what I thought? He walked away and said he’d be in touch.A couple of weeks later his guys show up and fix the waves in the patio within a few hours. We asked the workers “what do we owe you”? They replied “Giuseppe got your back”, there’s no bill today. That my friends is all you really need to know about him. He’s a “stand-up”kind of guy that you can count on. He made me feel like family. In my world, we refer to people like him as “Salt of the Earth”.His work is rock solid, just like him. Gappsi did an amazing job. From the first meeting with Guiseppe I knew I had made the right choice. Gappsi offered the best price and quality to install my gunite pool. Guiseppe met with us to go over the design. Guiseppe did an amazing job accommodating my 4 children, he designed the gunite pool with a sundeck with shallow water, there is also an amazing spa for my husband and I to relax in while the kids are in the pool. Not only did Gappsi install this amazing pool, they also installed artificial turf around the kids playground. The grass looks and feels so real, it’s clean and safe for my children to run around in. We recently had Giuseppe and the Gappsi crew redo our entire backyard. Together we designed our own resort. We have been customers of his for over 15 years back to when he did our driveway and patio. We knew when it was time to redo our backyard there was only one place to go.His team helped design our yard. They would suggest what they could do or modify from what we originally brought him as a design. His son Emanuelle showed us exactly how the yard would look as the design started to come together.If I being totally honest, I know they are not the lowest priced contractor, but they aren’t the highest either. But where else are you going to work directly with the owner, have him onsite to overlook the project and have his cell phone in case you need it.His entire crew were great and all reachable whenever. His foreman Greg even was reachable while he was in Europe on vacation.Our project was big, first off they had a pool, deck, retaining walls and a big patio to demo before anything else could be started.They did a pool, waterfall, outdoor kitchen, pavilion, and fire pit area and small deck area with a new slider glass door.With a project of this magnitude, you can always expect hiccups, or delays as there are a lot of moving parts that need to be handled daily. The difference is how the contractor handles those problems. Giuseppe and his crew handled anything that did arise and 100% stand behind the amazing work they do. They have been in business for a long time because they stand behind the work and always do the right thing.
I hired Gappsi to power wash, re sand and seal my pavers. Their crew of 3 led by Jamie showed up and went to work. My pavers were looking very dingy. After 2 days of work my backyard looks great. After the power washing my pavers looked great and 2 days later they were sanded and sealed. They now look beautiful. The workers did a wonderful job and I highly recommend Gappsi.
Gappsi has done so much work for us from a fully paved circular driveway to a sports court, batting cage, outdoor kitchen, shed and ahot tub. We had them put in a waterfall on our existing pool and the marble dusting redone. It came out great and feels much smoother than before. Everyone is friendly and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them.

First time we walked into the store, we met the owner, Mr. Giuseppe. He was very welcoming and concerned and helpful about our project. It was a big project, swimming pool, cabana, landscaping, fire pit etc. There were some issues thats expected with this magnitude of work. But he handled it all and made sure we were happy at the end. The end result is magnificent, and we could not be more pleased. Very hard to find a pool company to trust, but he did everything he promised. A great business man and a great contractor.

Gappsi has me now living in Nirvana!!!My backyard was a new builders mess, a nightmare and had a significant slope downward. They installed a beautiful multi level resort in my backyard. The built in gunite pool has a spill over spa and an auto-cover that keeps it warm, clean and well protected from things and little ones from falling in. Its a great safety feature. I can keep it closed and not worries at all. It opens in 30 seconds. The Travertine patio is large and expansive. The lower tier has a water feature and fire pit that and a nice touch at evening. Giuseppe and his entire team have always been professional and respectful. He has always answered the call to come back without hesitation to fix anything and everything. 4 years later, the backyard has filled in and is now a showstopper!!! I highly recommenced the Gappsi team!
My problem was I had a 60 year old pool that went from 3 feet to 12 feet on the very steep slope and my young grandchildren were only able to enjoy about a 10th of the pool because there was no place for them to stand. Then things got worse the pool cracked right in half and all I could think about was how do I get rid of this monster.Then a neighbor recommended I call Giuseppe at Gappsi Pools, and I am glad I did.His experience and ideas saved the day. His recommendation was to incorporate a shallow area called a Sun Deck that was 18 inches deep (my 2 & 3 year old grandchildren), then underwater steps going to a 3 foot deep play area (for the 6, 8 & 9 year old’s), then gradually to 8 feet for the big ones.When my 6-year-old said “Grandpa this is the best pool ever”, I told him “Thanks to Giuseppe”.

I’ve known Giuseppe for many years and had pavers installed around my pool many years ago. His team recently power washed, cleaned, re sanded and resealed all the pavers which over the years began to show its age. The transformation is unbelievable and have now come to life once again. Could not be more pleased and would not hesitate with Gappsi, as they stand by their work.
We decided to hire Gappsi for our latest project because they are well known in our community as a reputable company. We couldn’t be more pleased with Giuseppi and the Gappsi team. As a owner, Giuseppi was always involved and on the job site to over see the whole process and to make sure it was up to the Gappsi standards. We hired them to install synthetic grass with a two inch thick foam padding for our children’s new playground. We couldn’t be more excited at the completion of this job. I have received numerous complements about our grass and our children love their new playground. We are already discussing hiring Gappsi for our gunite pool. I know we will be in great hands when we move forward with our next project. I have to say they were our first estimate and our last.
Our experience with Gappsi began in August., 2017 and it was purely by chance. My husband found their website, and dropped by their business after setting up an appointment with another pool builder down the block from them. Immediately upon walking into their place of business, he received a hospitable reception which gave him the “warm and fuzzy” feeling he likes to get when doing a business transaction. This is his indication of an honest, trustworthy company. And his intuition proved to be right. Having spent months prior doing research, we knew exactly what we wanted, a gunite pool to fit the existing landscape of our nice sized yard. The owner, Giuseppe Abbrancati, came out, took notes and pictures of our yard, and within a week, had computer generated renderings, which we were able to modify on the spot. Giuseppe and his son, Emmanuel, did a phenomenal job at giving us exactly what we wanted, instead of trying to sell us on the expensive add-on features that we didn’t want. And what that enabled us to do was go bigger with our free-form design, one of the largest residential gunite pools they had done and at a very reasonable price. The only major hiccup was when their project manager had to be replaced, but once that hurdle was overcome, the newly assigned project manager, Tash, made sure getting our pool, the gas lines, the electrical, the masonry, the sodding and landscaping were all completed in time for the opening of our pool in June, 2018. We are delighted and thrilled beyond measure at our resort style backyard. We would recommend Gappsi, a family run business, to all!! Giuseppe of Gappsi did all of our brickwork around our pool, two patios, steps and front walkway 16 years ago!!. His work was not only beautiful but in all the 16 years we never had a problem.This summer, we noticed a loose brick in the corner of one of the steps and a few bricks on the front walkway started to sink, not due to workmanship, but rather water damage caused by a draining gutter.We called Gappsi over the summer, and while it took awhile to get back to us, Giuseppe called back himself. He remembered us and the house. He came out to the house the day we spoke. A few days later his crew was at the house and the bricks were fixed! I still cant believe that after 16 years he stood by his work. I dont know anyone in business today that is as honorable and committed than Giuseppe. Thank you Giuseppe. You have built a wonderful company.
I recently used Gappsi for sealing my patio and driveway (also Gappsi-installed several years ago). Jeffrey and team were professional, courtesy, and knowledgeable. Best of all, the results were better than expected. Everything looks brand-new as if they just installed the stones yesterday! I have and would recommend Gappsi for any hardscape and rennovation projects you may be considering.
We enjoyed working with the entire Gappsi group that installed our new Bocce ball court in our yard. The work is professionally done and the crew is extremely friendly and will do anything they can to satisfy you. The court was busy with players on the 4th of July. The Gappsi group is also very accommodating to start and finish the job quickly and on time. Well done.

I had a small paver that I needed replaced and couldnt find any company that would help with the project. Gappsi told me to bring the paver out and they were able to immediately match it and provide me with the replacement. Extremely nice, considerate, and professional guys who helped me quickly. I would recommend them highly and use them again for any patio work in the future.
After super storm Sandy our backyard was left pummeled by our neighbors trees. Our in-ground pool took the brunt of it. It was old with plenty of outdated features. We had lots of questions, repair or upgrade ? We met with Giuseppe and he gave us an honest assessment of our situation. We did the research and everything he told us was true and it didn’t make sense to repair, upgrading was actually cost effective. After upgrading the equipment portion came the stone work around the pool. The masonry team that did that work was wonderful. They had challenges but they were skilled, talented, and they transformed the pool area into an oasis.The trees had also damaged our deck. We had to wait a year but when the time was right and without hesitation we called Gappsi. They understood that we were trying to stay within a budget and once again gave excellent design ideas that complimented the work that was done a year earlier. The deck came out beautiful. Those pesky trees also damaged the fence and coincidently Gappsi has fence guys. If I write how wonderful they are you will begin to wonder if this is a legitimate review- I assure you this is. The fence guys also do the stone sealing. If you go to the showroom they have a great display, words cannot describe how this sealant enhances the natural stone color. Once you see it you want to have it done and Gappsi has an excellent team who will do this. I cannot say enough about the teams they employ, hardworking, courteous, professional, no shenanigans. They say that quality doesn’t cost, it pays, I felt the work that was done was reasonably priced – so - given the quality of their work, dealing with Gappsi is not only a pleasure but an excellent VALUE !
Giuseppe did a great job helping us create the perfect backyard sanctuary for our family. The Gappsi Team worked hard to make sure the process went smoothly. Our beautiful gunite pool has a sunshelf, benches and swim jet. It is exactly what we needed to enjoy the perfect summer. The autocover helps to keep our pool clean with minimal effort. I have done a major job, new landscaping around the whole house, and redone a Gunite pool which had been closed for 14 years. The pool was a total disaster! Gappsi came, they quoted, they were hired. Very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We were guided through various types of stone and options for our pool patio and waterfall and are very happy with Giuseppi’s recommendations. We decided on a durable light colored marble for the caping and patio, and stacked white marble for our waterfall, which look great and won’t get too hot during the summer!

I have to thank Giuseppe and all of his workers at Gappsi for a beautiful job on our driveway and patio. We used a Melfe Stone and had some issues with a batch of the stones but Gappsi stood behind their work and replaced and resealed all of the stones from the bad batch. I can only say good things about the whole experience I had with the company and Giuseppe in particular. I have finished my pool construction in the middle of fall and for the same reason I couldnt use it that year. They closed the pool last year and came back this year early and opened the pool did the cleaning, shock and the whole nine yard. The pool looks amazing and I will absolutely recommend them for anyone who wants to build a pool in your backyard. They are very professional and knowledgeable. Love their workmanship. Very good experience.

In 2012, we met with several companies to design and construct our backyard patio & kitchen and pool surround before deciding to go with GAPPSI. We could not be happier with our decision. The staff at GAPPSI patiently worked with us to develop a detailed computer generated design that incorporated all of our ideas and wishes. Had bathroom renovation done back in Dec 2019. Father/son and assistant team renovated my bathroom. There were times where they made there own unilateral decisions on the tiling/window part of the job. They should be listening to the customer and not be so controlling on how they wish to work. Company should only focus on pools not home remodeling.

We hired Gappsi this summer to do a complete backyard project. We chose a free form in-ground vinyl pool, travertine patio, composite desk and full landscaping. From the moment we met Giuseppe to go over initial designs, the process was great. He helped us come up with a design that fits our relatively small space, and accommodated all of our on the fly change requests without a question. We worked with Tosh and his crew to do the liner/equipment/plumbing, Greg and his crew for the patio/deck, and Joe and his crew for the landscaping. In all cases, when talking with any of these guys or Giuseppe himself, the communication is what put this experience over the top. I feel they truly listened to what we wanted and did not try to push their ideas on us. Beyond that, they did not hesitate to take calls and/or return text messages at time/day of the week. Combine that with the quality of the work and the final result, and you end up with an overall great experience. We hired Gappsi to design and install our in-ground pool in 2015. Although we thought we knew exactly what we wanted, Giuseppe advised us based on our goals & property size, and Im glad we followed his suggestions. Guiseppi recommended a rectangle pool instead of a free-form, a liner pool instead of a fiberglass pool, a 6 deep end instead of 8, a full width ledge in the deep end, a cover, and a stone patio. We also went with his recommendation on the placement of the pool in the yard, the size & shape of the patio, and leveling of the property. Gappsi built the pool walls with reinforced poured concrete instead of steel.
I called Gappsi to have the travertine pavers around my pool cleaned and sealed and I was glad I did. The crew was at my house and explained the complete process to me. They were meticulous with every detail and even replaced two tiles that were cracked. They did an unbelievable job and we couldnt be happier. Great job guys!!!
Well its been 5 years since gappsi did my pool , patio, stoops driveway, i cant say enough the professionalism that went into this project. My house never looked so beautiful. Giuseppe will give u first class treatment from the moment u meet him. Still today it looks brand new. Gappsi finished installing our paver driveway a week before Sandy hit in Oct-2012 (Pete supervised the job). Despite damage to our house, the driveway survived without issues. Last week we had Gappsi clean and seal the driveway to preserve it for the future. Jeff and Dave did a wonderful job of cleaning a rust stain (from the steel basketball net dripping onto the pavers), leaf stains near our front door, and they even removed any weed that was growing in the tiny seems between pavers. They could not apply the poly-sand and sealer after the cleaning because rain was forecast. Instead they showed up on Sunday (along with Giuseppe, one of the owners) to complete the job. It looks beautiful and we are very happy with the quality of Gappsi products and their people.
I have spent many years attempting to keep my pavers and driveway looking good. Polymeric sand and other online purchases of sealers ALL washed out and faded away after a few months. The ants, weeds and faded stones always returned. I found Gappsis Sealer Division while doing an online search. Jeff and his crew came in and removed all the old polymeric sand, weeds and ants by power washing with hot water provided by their on truck heaters, and returned the next day to spray their sealant. The first time they performed this, it lasted for 3 years. While still looking OK, we recently added some new pavers and concrete so we had them return to do it again. The stone and concrete now has a deep color and sheen, and the joints are very hard, no weeds or ants can get through. Jeff is a great guy to work with and his crew is very receptive and professional. I highly recommend them.
My wife and I choose Gappsi to transform the landscape, entrance, driveway, and stairs leading to our home some years ago. We were more than pleased with the outcome, the finished product was magnificent. This past winter was not only harsh to the population of Long Island it was harsh on its infrastructure as well. Because of the many cycles of freeze and thaw streets, sidewalks and paved areas were affected with damage. The cap stones of my stoop were not an exception. I had contacted Giuseppi and informed him of the damage. Even though this work was completed some years ago he personally followed through to spend two days rectifying the damage and replacement of ALL the capstones to match in color. He stands behind his work and reputation in that he also absorbed the cost of his crew in its two day effort to please his customer. . I would also recommend Gappsi as reputable and their finished work is impressive.
My family and I could not be happier with the transformation of our backyard! It only seems fitting that I post this review the day after Thanksgiving because apart from being thankful for good health throughout the family this year, we are truly grateful to Giuseppe and his team at Gappsi. My family is now enjoying a completely transformed backyard. Friends and family comment that our yard resembles a resort-like setting. Giuseppe is a genius when it comes to making the best use of your space with a layout that could not be more spectacular if Pablo Picasso, Van Gogh or de Vinci came back from the dead to work the project. I really believe that! My family and friends know that I am a super particular pain in the a** . Like most people preparing to invest their hard earned money into a major home improvement project, I spent a lot of time researching numerous options for this project, including multiple renderings that I spent days drawing myself. Early on in the project Giuseppe told me to relax and focus on my business and let him handle all the details. My best advice to anyone considering a small or major project involving masonry and stone work, is to save your time and energy and just trust this guy because he truly is an expert in his field. I would also add that his pricing is very fair.I have never put myself out there to make a review for fear that others may not receive the same positive experience that I enjoyed but in this case I believe that Giuseppe and his team are committed to a level of perfection that may even exceed that of some of his customers. These guys want to complete every project in a manner that creates another masterpiece to be added to their collection of show pieces and family of satisfied customers. GREAT JOB!
The Gappsi team is second to none! We had a backyard that was in desperate need of a patio, stoops, and for good measure, lets add a hot tub! From concept to completion, Guiseppe and the great team he employs took care and concern about each phase, listened to my concerns and made the requested adjustments accordingly, and finished the project on time and on budget, which is not something you can say about other companies out there...and it looks amazing!Just to show you how great the company is, here is a quick story - we all recall the record rain storm that hit LI pretty hard back on August 12-13, 2014; this storm hit the Islip area particularly hard; the recent patio and soon to follow, yet not completed, landscaping creating a situation where the water pooled up surrounding/slightly submerging the new hot tub; this was no fault of anyones but mother natures!...needless to say, I was besides myself with having to deal with the situation and the potential for the new tub to be ruined...I called Guiseppe for advice and assistance to assess and mitigate the situation; he and his team responded immediately and came and lifted the tub, built a completely new raised/elevated stone platform, created a drainage ditch to surround the tub, and built additional retaining wall to re-direct and stop water from flowing to this area in the future. Also, he dispatched their bit tub technician to look and see what, if any long-term damage may affect the hot tub - I am glad to report all is well and there are no issues with anything.The point is that, Guiseppe and the GAPPSI team stand behind their work 200% and will do what it takes to make sure that you are satisfied as a consumer; there are other companies out there that do this type of work on Long Island, but I would not look anywhere else but to GAPPSI when the time comes to build a patio, sauna, driveway, custom landscaping, and all of the other home improvement services they offer.We are soon to embark on a fence and driveway project and Gappsi has quoted us for both and we are going to contract their services for these items as well.Trust me...you wont regret going with GAPPSI...but as always, and educated consumer is the best customer...do you homework, research, ask questions, understand the variables, etc. I have found that when issues arise, its usually due to the customers lack of understanding and self-education, and often unrealistic expectations.
Put a deposit down for some stone work on my fireplace and was told the job would be done in March. Followed up many times and was told the job would be done next month, then next week, and now it’s June and they won’t even return my calls. Look elsewhere if you are looking for someone to keep their word and actually do the work.
Edit: It has been two more weeks. The company that Gappsi hired to repair our spa has left after what we HOPE was the final repair. They told us that a representative from Gappsi will be here today to move it back to working position. We do not know if that is true or not because Gappsi has not been communicative. They have offered nothing more that can be useful to us in a timely or reliable manner. They have given back nothing. They have not done the right thing by the customer. They have not answered the phone today nor returned messages. We have had a non-working tub sitting in our yard for two months now. It was a large expense for our family that we have been saving for for years. We are tired as new parents, and frustrated as new customers. Spending yet another saturday at the house. Waiting.Kevin was our original associate.Original post:I purchased a spa from this company at a home show. The spa was delivered, but unfortunately it was not functional. They sent people from their company to diagnose the problem. They were unable to do so. They brought an outside service company to assess the problem. They determined it was a manufacturers defect.While I understand the spa being defective is not Gappsis fault, they have failed to return my phone calls to tell me when the issue will be fixed. It has been two weeks since theyve been waiting for parts to come in. Yet they are unable to give me a tracking number for the shipment or a timetable for the repair. Do not buy a hot tub from this company. Go with a company that sells working products and understands customer service.
Gappsi did a great job refinishing our pool. It looks brand new! They also provide great service. I highly recommend the Gappsi team for all your pool needs!
June 24, 2015Dear Gappsi:It’s all too often that contractors take the money and run. Gappsi Inc. did a lot of work on our property. One of the projects that they completed did not work out as expected. Rather than denying wrong doing or us having to go the legal route, the owner, Giuseppe Abbrancati, personally came to our house, assessed the issue and fixed the issue.We had a major water drainage issue at the bottom of our retaining wall. Originally, Gappsi put in a dry well and piped into it. The issue of water being trapped inside of the retaining wall still remained. Gappsi dug out the vicinity, re-piped the connection with better material into the dry well and lay down large gravel to allow the retaining wall to drain and water to dissipate into the new pipe and ground.While it’s only been several days, it has rained and thus far the major water issue that was happening has not reoccurred.Yours truly,David and Genna - Commack Residents
Gappsi did my patio area in the front and back of house several years ago and when I called for some minor repairs tbeh came back and took care of it. The crew run by Jeffrey did a fantastic job and I highly recommend them if you need a patio done by a reputable company.
Gappsi provided excellent craftsmanship and exceptional courtesy. Jeffrey and his assistant were extremely neat and efficient. They were also very polite and accommodating. We have used Gappsi before and will use them again!

2022-06-08Gappsi has created many beautiful patios, pools and landscape designs as seen on their Website. The workers are creative and very skilled at the various phases of construction. They are careful and considerate of ones property.My project was a small covered patio of 400 sq. ft. and beautiful steps done in a gray limestone. This turned out excellent in just 3 days.I would strongly recommend them for other projects.

2022-01-29Extremely happy with the end results. In the front of our house, Gappsi installed a 60-foot 2-tiered retaining wall with 13 wide steps up to to our front door. Work in the rear of the house included a curved stairway with retaining walls on both sides and a patio/walkway. On the side of the house work included a 100 foot driveway with belgum block edging and aprons at the foot of the driveway and garage. I had picked out wall materials but Gappsis suggestions for stair/patio/ledge pavers were a perfect complement to the walls. Before starting, a very professional set of conceptual drawings were provided. I am also very happy with support. Three years after completion, a stone came loose. I stopped by to ask the best way to rescue it. Giuseppe came, had his crew check all the pavers to assure no others were loose and repaired the loose stone.

2021-09-21Wonderful experience with Giuseppe, Tosh and all the people at Gappsi who helped us along the way from design and location to permits. Have recommended them to many friends. One year since the completion and enjoyed a full season. They have gone above and beyond to help me even when I didn’t know some basic maintenance issues. They are always there whenever I have a question even one year after. We get many compliments on the full cement pool and quality of the stone work as well. Stones look better than the pavers we had originally thought to install. And over time even look better with a simple spray of the hose and sweep. Low maintenance & natural beauty!

2022-01-22Giuseppe and the amazing Gappsi team delivered a stunning paver patio and driveway 10 years ago. Due to a recent sewage main repair work, portion of the patio had to be taken apart. Giuseppe and the team came to a rescue and put the patio back to its original. Once again, their meticulous workmanship delivered the flawless work! Thank you very much Giuseppe!
