This place been here forever. Great corner store Italian Deli. Of course the sandwiches are amazing. Way better than any of the chain sandwich places, thus why there is so few of those in Oswego.
They are friendly and courteous. They are always so awesome about filling my order for london broil. I use it for making my own beef jerky, they cut it for me so I dont have to.The subs are the best and affordable in town. The place is fairly well kept and usually has anything anyone would need. Their dry goods/pantry items are well stocked, they have a wide selection of drinks, alcoholic and otherwise. It feels like one of the last local places in Oswego and when I shop there, I know my money goes into the pockets of local folks and not in the coffers of large coorporations/ chain grocery stores. I would rather shop there so I can support my local business. Thank you for being so awesome! 10/10 come check it out!
Im giving them one star because I have to give them at least one star. I called I requested 2 lb of Cooper sharp cheese. I asked them if they could put deli paper in between the slices because Cooper sharp is known to stick together and it is very expensive. I didnt mind paying for the weight of the extra paper. I was told we dont do that here if I did Id have to charge you an extra $5 per pound. Well Ive never been told that at any place that I bought Cooper Sharp. This is a neighborhood store that I shop at often however I wont be shopping at anymore. I understand theres a price for convenience oh, trust me I really do but I also noted that price is put into price that I am paying for the product itself. There is a Price Chopper and a Walmart within a mile from there that I will be going to from this point forward
Stopped in because we had traveled to Rudys, and they were closed. Now we have a new place to travel to. Amazing store and people. From now on Garafalos is our go to place when we want to eat casual near the lake.
Went to order a sub and the guy was rude. Instead of telling me they weren’t making any more subs at 9:30 in the morning he told me to go look at the table and read the sign. Very disappointed. Very rude customer service. The guy wasn’t even doing anything but standing there. Will not be back.
Why go to the sub shop when you could get it from Garafolos?! I used to get subs here in college. Now I drive from an hour away just to have the subs. Cant find another sub thats as good as garafolos.
I’ve been coming here for 17 years. My mom always got your subs, and I swear by them. Best subs I ever had, and I’ve had some food. Damn good asset to this community. Good deli and meat, good prices, and a GOD damn good sub.Thanks for the memories

I havent been to this place in 5 years they make the best sub sandwiches the fireman everybody goes here we happen to want fried fish because my daughters pregnant and cant eat lunch meat so we had to wait 20 minutes for the fryers to turn on in 20 minutes later he tells us theres isnt any fish to fry they had a special coconut shrimp and still at the sign up it was noon and apparently they didnt have that done either so before that we asked on the side choices you cant potato salad and apparently that batch was outdated thank God they didnt serve it so I imagine the subs are still good and they make hell of a subs they use a whole loaf guys we just happen to have one bad experience The guys are really nice though so hopefully our next stop will be much better
So full disclosure, I havent been here in more than 20 years. I went to college in Oswego, and loved this place. The sandwiches were massive and reasonably priced. For some reason Garafolos popped into my head tonight. Might have to make a road trip up there some day and grab some food!
Great ma and pa store for sandwiches(whole loaf Italian is BOMB) fresh meats and cheeses! I special ordered their pepperoni bread and was blown away by how good it was and they definitely dont skimp on fillings. I strongly recommend this place, the service, the food, the prices, the quality....bar none!

The Staff is super family oriented. The shop has amazing food and have never had a bad experience. Our family loves it. No doubt this is somewhere we choose to go to often. You must try the sandwich of the month!

Whether you are looking for pre priced meat packages or you custom order, you will be hard pressed to find top quality and affordably prices that Garafolos offers. With 3 growing boys, I find it is the best for my buck. The fliers with pricing is available online usually between the 1st and the 3rd of every month. Also Garafolos is Italian imports so you can be sure to get that old world taste, everything you need to make it just like grandma or momma used to make. They make fresh bread everyday to add that finishing touch to your dinner. They are open everyday Sunday through Saturday. And you will also find them at farmers market on Thursdays. Conveniently located on the corner of E Bridge and E 9th Street in Oswego. Pop on in for your morning coffee on your way to work or on your way home to get your dinner to go. Chicken parm sub was shredded non breaded chicken tossed in a bowl with some cheese and microwaved. Fell apart and was embarrassing to call chicken parm. Save yourselves the time and go to big ms

I have gone to Garafols since I was like 8 and I am now 13 I think that this place is awesome and any time I go their everyone is very nice.
BEST place to get subs. Everytime Im in Oswego its a must go. Ask for the half loaf not subroll you wont be disappointed.
Definitely some of the best subs in town; all the meats are delicious (not only the deli meat, but everything from the butcher) and prices are good. Add some of the hot pepper relish to your sub, its tasty. The sub sizes are great, loaf, half loan or sub roll! They also have lots of homemade sides (pasta salad and things like that).

Garafalos has the best meat around at very very good prices they offer meat packs and a large cheap candy selection some 5..10..25 cents a piece ....my toddlers love going there and the owner is a very caring wonderful business man who works right alongside his employees! They have everything u may need for a quick stop without going to a grocery store !

A small, traditional deli/convenience store. A favorite among locals. Great deli meats and cheeses, but also great prepared food. Try their half load sub (its exactly what it sounds like, a half a load of homemade bread with all the sub/grinder fixings), sausage, or wings for a treat. Friendly staff, wide selection in their beer and soda coolers.

Well first the sausage if you like it hot get the xxx. Lunch is amazing. As is everything else I tried. SmallDining area but most take food to go. Phone is ringing and always a line but they take care of you. Oswego is lucky to have this awesome establishment. Can’t wait to come back for nuke outage just for a sandwich.

I went to this place nearly 5 days a week for almost 2 years for their deal on a half sub and soda. The price has gone up 2$ in the last decade since Ive been there but I ranted and raved about it to my new family and we had a chance to go to the area recently. According to my family even the amount I hyped wasnt nearly enough to give the subs proper justice. Its an incredible meal and a fantastic deal. I only wish I lived nearby again to frequent this place often. On another important note, I absolutely hate sausage of any kind from ANY place but I will eat a few. Most are established nationally in chain stores frozen sections but the absolute best has to be Garafolos.
They are trying their best, given the times. Lets keep them going.

I bought 4 subs. One of them was a half loaf turkey sub. This sub had multiple things missing from it. When I called to complain they took down my name for a free sub. Called today to get that free sub, and they said there is nothing there telling them that I have a free sub. Dont waste your time and money. GJPs is way better.

2022-06-03Havent been here in a few years ordered subs and their price is comparable to subway and I could only half of a half thats how filling it was generous on meats and fillings and they use whole loaf italian bread and one sub is enough for 2 people easily everything was fresh and meats and cheese was sliced to order will be our go to for subs from now on!

2021-08-16Their whole sandwiches are basically two meals. Always filling and you get a small bag of chips if you get a half or a whole. It was too bad they didnt have any hot or mild sausage subs when we just went but its still great. Cant beat their prices for how much you get either.

2021-06-16I worked here as a work study student back in 12th grade 2016-2017. I was permanently hired in 2020 then laid off due to Covid NOT me. I am getting rehired for more hours and better pay. These people are awesome! My bosses and co-workers are very friendly, honest and hard working. I dont eat their subs, but I love their fries, and their wings and tenders are also pretty good. Dont think of this review as biased. This is the 100% honest truth.
