So I just bought a futon couch for 80 dollars unbeknownst to me that it came without legs... so I basically paid for a futon couch that looks like a gaming chair .. i’m trying to call them to ask why that information wasn’t disclosed anywhere but there voicemail has been full for quite some time now, honestly don’t think anyone will ever pick up considering it sounds like it’s ringing someones cell phone instead of a store phone, great🤦🏽♂️. Don’t recommend, although it is nice that donations go to church
I got there at 12:50 pm a total of 4 employees were there. By 12:55 pm (5 min later) I was told I had 5 min to continue to look around they are closing for lunch and everyone had to leave. I saw they locked the door and as people came to the door they actually ignored them. I asked one of the guys working for a price on a microwaveable bowl you cook Mac & Cheese in he said $5 it said $3 on the box (a customer let me know the number in black marker was the price) I asked another guy the price for a 22 inch monitor from Walmart he got his phone went to Walmart.com (it was Walmart brand ONN) showed me his phone and said thats it $85.00 the Clarence sticker from Walmart said $44.Im not sure who owns the place but the lady at the register or 3 guys bringing boxes in have no clue whats going on and clearly make it up as they go. And that is a direct quote from one of the 4 i just mentioned. By 1:02 pm we had been asked to leave and the doors were locked and there was a guy walking to the door as we pulled out of the lot.Must be nice to be able to turn all that money away.#mindblown
Thats a blessing to have this store close by are reasonably priced are a great resource for needy families as well as people just looking for a little help or at point in the right direction to find proper resource they need thank you guys for all of your to do I pray that yall be blessed and prosperous
I understand this money goes towards the church. But the prices are very high for somebody that struggling and trying to make ends meet. They maybe you should change the name because its not a garage sale. Its just an overpriced store for second hand Goods. Are the donations from stores.
The selection was good but not great, some items were priced very well and some I felt were overpriced for the product being used, or just the product in general. The organization is not up to par, but if you dont mind searching for things you can find great deals on great items
Great selection of items but I spent 90 dollars and when I came home things were missing out of my packages... I tried to call them from looking on google, but they had no phone number. So I called the warehouse thrift shop, which referred me to The Gsrage Sale Store to ask for a number and they hung up on me
Not a thrift store at all your not going to find hidden treasures or one of kind antiques or rare items, or anything really interesting with history or a story to tell. It seems to be a store named “Garage Sale Store” which is misleading because it’s anything but a garage sale not even close, this you gather while pulling into the parking lot. As you enter you start to see that it’s just like a Marshall’s or a TJ Maxx, or better yet Ocean State Job Lot or Ollie’s bargain shop... everything is brand new or open box or what seems to be returned to whatever store then donated? to the garage sale store? I suppose... when I went the first time we were given prices off the top of whoever was volunteering? If that’s what they were doing or perhaps they were working can’t say for sure. They would give us some pretty good prices or we could talk to them down a couple dollars or so. The next time we went in want the case... now they were looking up the MSRP of eveything now and even used items and charging half of what the original price was key words “was” in whatever condition it was in or what the packing came in. They closed the downtown one that provided especially in that economically challenged area where there is a criminal court and other municipalities that are there too “help” or enrich or provide services to those with socioeconomic difficulties resources for a better standard of living: needless to say it’s gone with yet another rarity taken away from the what seems to be a cursed business entire city. It’s really a-shame... and their change of pricing was a little questionable and frankly disturbing ... would I go again.. probably not why? Just doesn’t seem right.. and it’s owned by a church and the proceeds go to ... well that was unknown as well... so if your beyond the philanthropic ideology of what it’s supposed to be present then go save yourself that 59 percent off Walmart item you could of easily just got at Walmart in the clearance aisles. If you are about the philanthropic shop not your cup of tea probably unless you do your research and fill us all In.
Doesnt even deserve 1 star. Lady had a nerve to sell my sister a tv stand and all the pieces wasnt even there the audacity of some people here my sister is a single mom with a specail needs son and trying to get a few pieces of furniture and find out you got ripped off...how 😥 sad...smh

2022-05-06I always shop here , and just need to know prices. I have walmart and target app so i just scan what I can if a box available if not i google name of product. I just brought a beautiful coffee make that retails for $50-100 i only paid $20 my only issue it had a crack in carafe when i got home, no biggie. But i did get another hood deal on a Babyliss Pro 1 1/2 inch flat iron that was a return and I pd $30 when tag said $50 so was nice of her to reduce item it did look as if was sitting for a while. But just know your price, scan bar code and negotiate . The lady is fair, the asian/caucasian looking young dude is the rude one, who don’t give breaks, not approachable etc. So if see him in store just turn around if need be and go back another nice sunny day when every may be feeln jolly.

2021-12-09I went in there today for the final time. Never have I gone into an establishment where the employees were so disgustingly rude. Being forced out of a store after listening to her argue with other customers over the ridiculous prices on certain items is unacceptable. Aside from prices being more expensive than Amazon, eBay etc these people use black sharpie to deface a majority of the boxes the items are packaged in. What parent would give a child a lego set with a giant black $60 written across the entire front of the box? This place used to be a great little shop. Now its nothing more than a joke.

2022-07-07The guy at the cashier is very rude and kicked us out and told us that we can’t purchase anything and this is like the 4th time this is happening.

2022-05-23Items were overpriced and the store was a disaster. They dont take debit cards unless you purchase more than $10.

2021-09-14Worst Garage sale store... Rude Lady kept on changing prices in front of me when asked her why the prices are more than new ones on Amazon, Ebay or even walmart. Go there if you want to buy over-priced junk items. Better to directly donate to churches if that is your goal.
