I went to several places trying to find someone who would fix a tear on the heel of one of my satin designer shoes (Badgley Mischka) but no one would, due to the hardware design on the heel that made it difficult to repair seamlessly. I felt defeated and put the heels away, but thought, maybe one day I’d find the right person who could help my shoe. It was my only hope since the manufacturer could not help me. Recently I went to Garden City Shoe Repair for a pair of boots. It was my first time in the store, and I was met by David, the owner. He was so friendly and welcoming, I hadn’t realized I was there chatting with him for 30 minutes! During this visit, I mentioned the difficulty I had in finding someone to repair the tear in one of my designer satin heels. He quickly told me to bring it in so he may look at it, that perhaps he may be able to help. I was excited at the prospect of finally getting it fixed so I came back the next day with heels in hand. He agreed the placement of the tear was not good and explained why others found it difficult to fix. The other shoe repairmen had explained the same, but David went into more explanation, detailing the processes certain manufacturers do for hardware design. However, without hesitation he said he would do his best to fix it, to make it look better than what it was. He couldn’t guarantee anything, but he would try his best. He told me to come back the next day, and yes it wasn’t seamless, but he did such an amazing job all things considering. He took a chance on this repair and gained a new customer! David has a beautiful store, has fair pricing, is courteous, super knowledgeable (his father used to make shoes), and so friendly / easy to talk to. Above all, from the repairs I saw in the store and my own shoes, he delivers quality, clean work. I highly recommend his services - - you won’t be disappointed!!
One of the most reliable and high quality shoe, bag etc. repair places in the WORLD. The owner, just like his store, is one of the most reliable and kindest people I know. This place is a must to go to kind of place! That is why I think that this shop is more deserving of TEN stars than five.
I live in Garden City and came across a New ShoeRepair in my Neighborhood. I came in with 8 shoes to be Repaired and was Surprise at the Man on the Other side of the Counter . I ask him wait I know U it’s been a While ! I said U owned another Shop and he said Mt around here but in Brooklyn ! Starreet City in Brooklyn !! I said OMG I knew I knew U I’m one of your Customer from Brooklyn ! I said We back together again !!! I said every time I go to my Mother house I forget to Bring my Shoes .!!!! Hey love David and his Work !! I’ve been a Loyal customer Over 25 yrs . David is so near I’m telling my Neighbors. He’s Professional and Business Oriented Yes I will recommend to Any and Everybody !!!! This business was needed in Garden City . God Bless David and his Hands .!!!!!!

2022-04-27I had thrifted shoes with the soles worn-out and scratched, they were in need of major fixing. A close friend recommended this shop because David does a guarantee fabulous job. 2020-07-29Amazing!! I brought in several designer purses for repair and restoration and they came out flawless! They look brand new! One of the interior linings that I brought in was completely torn at the seams, he repaired it and you can not even tell that it was ever damaged. The turn around time was quick and quality is impeccable. I would highly recommend this shop for all your repairs and restorations! Ten star quality of work and professionalism.

2018-01-16I was prepared to throw away my $500 shoes as I thought they were beyond salvageable. Instead, I brought them into David just in hopes to get a little more out of them. In just one day, I received what appeared to be my old shoes, in magnificent condition. They are as good as new. Great quality work and service! This guy will have your shoes looking brand new! He greatly specializes in high end and designer shoes as well! I highly recommend this place!

2019-08-13I just got my favorite pair of shoes back from here and I am extremely happy. They look almost new and I can’t wait to wear them again! Definitely gonna come back here because of the quality service. David also is very knowledgeable about how to better fix different shoes and is very kind. The prices are affordable too. Other than shoes David also sells a variety of things such as bags, does key cutting, sharpens knives & scissors, etc.
