I’ve been bringing both of my rescue dogs here for years. Everyone here is great. Both my dogs had surgery and they took the time to listen to every concern I had. They called after to see how they were doing. If I have any questions or problems they get us in right away. There are perfect and I’m so happy we have been going there.Tango and Mayhem send sloppy kisses to everyone there
Recently, I had to take one of my pets here because she had diarrhea and was only 2 lbs 8 weeks old. Dr. Polly treated her. He called the next day to check on her to see how she was doing. That follow up phone call was everything. I told my family in NC and they were in aww knowing that a veterinarian actually called to follow up on the care of the pet like they do humans. Thank you Dr. Polly for the care and concern you showed my pet. You’re patience, care and concern is unmatched. I’ve also taken my other pet here as well and the other doctors are caring and patient as well. It was just the follow up phone call that meant so much. I go to doctors offices and don’t seem to get that kind of care and follow up!Thank you very much for your true commitment to this profession.
My family and I have always experienced nothing but wonderful, professional, courteous service from Garden City Veterinary Care! The staff treats our pets Buddy, and Hazel as if they were their own. I highly recommend everyone to bring their pets to Garden City Veterinary care for the highest quality medical care, and a warm , professional amazing staff!
They re doing a really good job taking care of my pup. They care and I seriously Like My Vet Dr Laurie Buscemi I want a vet that really cares and is responsive to me as a concerned pup parent Keep up the good work!I do however look forward to the day we no longer have to sit in the car but am grateful that you are doing what you are. Thank you
Dr. Polley took the time to review all of the records from a previous vet, clearly discuss his recommendations after the physical examination, and implement a plan of care that met with my satisfaction. All costs were presented prior to treating the dogs, so there were no unexpected charges. Professional and kind.
I booked a last minute appointment and they were able to get me in within 48 hours. Everyone was very friendly and gave us tons of information, making us feel very comfortable with our kittens’ treatment plan. I would highly recommend Garden City Veterinary Care to anyone in the area who is looking for an attentive and caring veterinary experience .
Fast responses and easy check-in format during the pandemic atmosphere. The Physician spends a good amount of time explaining things without rushing off the phone. Reception and Technician staff are very friendly and are willing to spend time answering questions and addressing any concerns. Very nice experience overall.
We have been using Garden City Vet for almost 9 yrs. My rescue dog has many medical issues as well as underlying anxiety. Dr Buscemi and the rest of the team are amazing! They are always responsive to our calls and my dogs needs. Highly recommend this vet practice! 🐕 My dog is very comfortable here- which is no easy accomplishment
Nothing can make it better. We love every doctor, Vet tech, the girls at the front desk! We honestly feel like the whole offices cares about us and our dog. Knows us and our dog. I know I’ve said it before but I was so impressed by how hard they worked to diagnose Sandy, how they reached out to others for help...I can’t say enough about this practice.
We have been bringing our dog Maggie to Garden City Veterinary Care since we got her as a puppy. All of the vets and the staff are wonderful and caring. We spend part of the year in Florida and do have a veterinarian there as well. We have boarded Maggie at Best In Show a couple of times. They also take great care of our dog. Just last week, we brought Maggie in for an ear and skin infection appointment and we were fortunate enough to have Dr. Levine and tech Rohan assist us. Again, the best possible service, good information was provided on my concerns. Just a really great experience. The staff and medical professionals at Garden City Veterinary Care have been nothing but supportive and compassionate. I highly recommend Garden City to any pet parent who is looking for the best possible care for their companion animal.
My best friend had a mass growing under the muscle on his hind leg. From the moment we walked in to the moment we picked up our pet after surgery, everyone from the surgeon down to the the receptionist, were kind and helpful. They kept us informed from the get go on what was going to be done to our pet and what to expect. Brooklyn, our dog, is running and being his usual self thanks to Garden City Veterinary Care. I have no idea if the cost would of been cheaper somewhere else, but when it comes to the welfare of our family friend, we are not trying to find the cheapest option. They worked with us on the price making it more affordable and gave my pet the best care I could possibly expect.
Finding a vet that works with you, not necessarily talking down to you, has been a difficult experience. I travel from Lindenhurst (a good 30-minute drive) and have been coming back for the last three years. The staff is very friendly, helpful and genuinely caring. I have recommended them to family and friends and they all feel the same way. If youre shopping for a new doctor for your pet look no further. Theyre amazing!
The staff and doctors are all kind and caring and always take the time to explain everything. Dr. Buscemi helped to keep my Boxer, who had her fair share of health issues, with me past her 11th birthday. We were always treated with respect and we felt like we mattered.I now have a rescue pup “Cash” and we recently went for his initial check up. We were treated wonderfully and not only was everyone happy to welcome Cash to the family, but Dr. Levine had a staff member play with Cash while he got a shot and he never even knew he was there for a treatment.Best vets!!!!
I have been bringing Roxy to GCVC for close to 3 years. The medical care is outstanding, but its the office staff and techs that really bring it home for me. I was very concerned about her following a surgery and Juan was so incredibly thoughtful by texting me a photo to show me that she was recovering nicely. I cannot begin to tell you how much that meant to me. It put me immediately at ease that she had someone looking out for her overnight. The true gem of this practice is Cindy. There is an immediate level of comfort when I call and hear her voice. She knows I dont call unless something is wrong and she goes out of her way to find an appointment slot for me. If its not an emergency, I try to call on Mondays and Tuesday since those are the days I know she will be working. She processes timely medical insurance payments and always reminds me to make sure I submit my claims as well. She also has a very keen sense of telling when someone is stressed out about their animal. She will offer a kind work or reassure me that I am in good hands. If Cindy is handling it, I dont give it another thought because I know it will be handled. I wish every organization had a Cindy.
I LOOOOVE GARDEN CITY VETERINARY CARE!!! As a foster for Rescue & an adopter of 4 dogs, I have brought many dogs for care & surgery with the GCVC Team. They have a brand new, always clean, STATE OF THE ART facility with the latest technology to expertly diagnose, carefully monitor and superbly treat our pets (and our best friends)! Dr. Laurie Buschemi at GCVC, 1st treated a very sick dog I was fostering in Jan 2015. The foster dog, Linden, had IMHA & poor kidney function. I was blown by the excellent treatment she provided and loved that she cared for him (and all her patients) like they were her own pet. Cindy, the administrative manager went above and beyond with anything I needed— from medical records to appointments, to questions or medications. Both Dr Buschemi & Cindy, called to check on Linden several times. After treating him for 3 months, they got Linden to 100% health and he was adopted to a forever family where he is still healthy and thriving! Since then I have taken numerous foster dogs as well as my own dogs to GCVC. In addition to Dr Buschemi, I’ve had dogs treated by Dr. Polley, Dr. Levine & Dr. Infernuso... And they are all WORLD CLASS CLINICIANS & SURGEONS!Our rescue sent to GCVC for treatment and surgery, a dog who had been badly HIT BY A CAR (Lily). She had a shattered femur, broken tail, broken pelvis, ruptured bladder, hernia and lacerated eye. Dr Buschemi & Dr Polley surgically repaired the hernia & bladder, also amputated the broken tail. Then approximately a week later, Dr Infurnuso (one of if not the most skilled & acclaimed dedicated surgeons, specializing in orthopedic surgery) surgically repaired Lily’s broken pelvis and shattered femur using a complex of rods, pins & screws. For me PAIN IS ALWAYS A BIG WORRY and I never want my beloved animals to be in pain. And it was such a reassurance to me, that the doctors at GCVC always talked to me about how they were treating for pain Post-Op and showed genuine concern that the patient in their care NOT BE IN PAIN. Throughout Lily’s ordeal, the team kept her comfortable and it was evident when I visited her. LILY 100% RECOVERED under their care & has since been adopted. She runs & plays without issue, like she was never hit by a car!ON TIME APTS! I rarely have to wait more than a few mins for my apts. Not all vets are like that, I’ve been to others where an hour wait was to be expected. (smh) I have only really had to wait once for an apt at GCVC but a very serious emergency came in right as we got there. The dog needed emergency surgery. I still only had to wait about 35mins that time. They’re excellent with on time apts, in my view.Another thing I love about GCVC is that they work with the best specialists in every field and have been really happy with the referrals they provided me for an Oncologist (Dr Linderman) and for a Neurologist (Dr Santare). They work seemlessly with the referred specialists, conferring with them, providing records, receiving reports and records etc. Plus Cindy and the office team are amazing! Whenever, I’ve needed records for insurance they always send them to me quickly.Cindy, the staff of vet techs and the doctors, go above and beyond in an effort to make nervous pet patients feel comfortable. EVERYONE AT GCVC TRULY LOVES ANIMALS and it shows. Because a pet’s comfort goes hand and hand with excellent care. And GCVC delivers both! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent vet practice!
We love using GCVC. We have used them since we adopted our pup, 3+ years and only stopped because we moved to Texas. All of the vets are caring and listen to your concerns. Our pup had reoccurring cancer scares and we always felt confident and comfortable in their diagnosis and care. We are dreading finding a new vet.
After I retired I adopted my first dog, Liam. He is a rescue from NSAL. I did not have any knowledge of what was required to keep him healthy. From the start Dr Polley and the talented staff at Garden City Vet have provided Liam with excellent care. They keep records of what he needs and send out reminders to ensure visits are timely. When a test is performed they report the results quickly and comprehensively. Office manager Cindy is welcoming, efficient and dedicated to pet wellness. Liam loves seeing her.Liam is now 10 and 3/4 and has the energy of his puppy self.Thank you Garden City Vet Care
I recently brought my 2 cats in for a check up, updated shots and a claw trimming. From Lorena at reception, Charles the Vet Tech to Dr. Levine, the service, care and knowledge was exceptional. They explained everything clearly and most importantly took excellent care of my 2 roommates. I highly recommend GC Veternary.
I was referred by a friend to this Veterinary clinic and I must say that I had a positive experience with their wonderful staff specially Cindy. Thanks to her kindness and patience I was able to solve all my insurance problems. I definitely will go back for the great care they provide and the patience of Cindy.
We have been bringing our dog Callahan to Garden City vet since he was a few months old. They take wonderful care of him every time he goes whether he did something, like break his toe or just a regular check up. Cindy the office manager is a God send to any office. She is worth her weight in gold!!
This place is absolutely amazing , they don’t make it feel like a vet visit , and that feeling is for both you and your companion, they are super attentive to your questions and concerns and actually care , the level of professionalism and dedication they provide is at the highest level , my baby girl Mia came back in great spirits and it’s all due to the care of the trained professionals at this location , if you are a first time puppy owner or looking to change up your vet I highly recommend using Garden City Veterinary Care you won’t regret it.
Everyone at GCVC LOVES pets and treats each one like they would their own animals! That spoke volumes to me & why I love this practice so much! From Cindy the office manager to the vet techs, to Dr Buschemi, Dr Levine, Dr Polley they will go out of their way, above and beyond for your pet as they have for my many pets & rescue fosters. Plus add to that a clean, state of the art facility, on time apts, 2 or more Vets on site each day, a veterinary dentist, Dr Infernuso- the most acclaimed orthopedic surgeon on Long Island, 4 exam rooms, a spacious waiting room (they are great at accommodating animals who prefer NOT to be in the company of other animals. And I love that!)... what’s not to love! I’ve been going to GCVC for 3yrs now and love them! And I can tell you that vet I went to for 10yrs prior to that, never made me wait less than an hour for my apts, often 2hrs. And they still charged me up the wazoo. And I’m not talking once or twice in an ER situation, every single time. My apt would be for 3pm, I’m there and sit until 4:30p. I have never waited at GCVC for more than 10-15mins but usually no wait at all. That is a game changer for me! Highly recommend them!
Dr Raymond Polley is AMAZING! I recently had to bring in my dog Jaks for an emergency vet visit. Not only was the waiting room spotless, the staff was warm and friendly. Dr Polley walked me though all my options and was so patient with Jaks (hes very hyper). I am so happy to have found such a phenomenal vet. I will highly recommend him to all my friends and family.
They say you shouldnt judge a book by its cover... looks nice from the outside, inside is relatively clean.. I went in for my free exam and just got the feeling the doctor I saw (who is also the owner I believe) didnt even like pets.. I guess cause the exam was free and i told him from the beginning my finances were tight, me and my cat werent given the same attention as any other client. Thats fine.. Im just glad I found out on my first (and last) visit and not one day when it was an emergency.. Bad vibes all around..
My 3 year old Chocolate Lab completely tore his cruciate ligament in his left rear leg during some rough play in the park. Dr. Infernuso performed TPLO surgery. Within ONE WEEK my dog was walking on the bad leg. I am blown away by the amazing job he did fixing my dogs leg. I now am confident that my dog will be close to 100% when fully recovered. The staff at this vet is EXTREMELY LOVING to the animals. You will leave there knowing your pet is safe and being taken care of like its their own.
My husband and I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Raymond Polley, DVMPC and his staff for the compassion and care our beloved pet Pookie and my family received from them. My husband returned from his third tour disabled and unable to work .It has been three years of red tape.We discovered a pea sized lump in pookies mammary gland. It had doubled in size in two weeks. She was never fixed and 10 years old.The perfect storm for cancer. Pookie has been with me threw one of the worst periods of my life. This was our first time to his office. We thought he was part of a veterans group for dogs he was not and said to bring her in anyway. The despair in my heart must have shown,Dr Polley took pookie in for the operation that day. Pookie is alive and now healthy. Thanks to the compassion and skill of Dr. Polley
This vet clinic is horrible!!!! They charge you for foot and and leg every time you walk in this place! My dog had his skin cut and they wanted to charge me $3000 for surgery. Another vet charged me $300!! Receptionist is rude and has no clue about anything! DONT GO HERE THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MAKING MONEY!!!!!

2021-12-25We recently switched to Garden City Veterinary Care. Dr. Buschemi goes above and beyond and is by far the best veterinarian we have ever met. We have one dog and four cats and I don’t mind traveling out if our area to get this amazing care. The staff is all knowledgeable, compassionate and very accommodating. 2022-01-07Dr. Quim and the Garden City Vet team provided fast, compassionate and transparent care to our puppy when she was sick. They referred us to an animal hospital to help make sure she was cared for immediately upon finding a foreign object in her X-Ray. We were happy to have a trustworthy team helping our pup and will continue to use them going forward!

2022-04-21I would definitely recommend this veterinary care center to anyone, they were very patient, educated, and compassionate with my dog. Everything was profesional and animal care oriented. Dr. Galatis took amazing care of my dogs needs as well as educated our family on our dogs healthcare. She combined a perfect setting of education, kindness, and dilegence. They’re very loving to your pets and treat them with care. You will definitely gain a lot form your experience here.

2022-03-31Overall disappointed with this place. Asked questions only to get no real answer (even though they recorded the questions I had). Needed medical records asap and had a week delay even after calling multiple times (they told me to call and every time I just got the same answer - were sending them over now). The medical records even had gaps in time once I received them. I have two dogs and one record was full while the other was missing a ton of information - vaccines, issues, parasites, etc.The employees are nice but service was disappointing

2021-05-27I love this place! Are you kidding me? The amount of love that they pour out to the animals are just amazing. Doing Gods work at its best. It was my first time here for my cat, Nymeria. She got really sick and dehydrated (based on lab work from the doctor) after going for a couple of days at a pet hotel. We were really worried! But nurse Stephanie and Viviane really did help calm my nerves and gave nothing but attention and care. Great customer service. The vet that took care of my kid was Dr.Quinn he is very thorough and informative and loving at the same time, he didnt rush the appointment he took the time to LISTEN about all of my worries. He was assisted with nurse Raymond which I think just have a great vibe to him my cat actually didnt try to scratch or bite him, was a little unsure but wow he did made her chill. They did the procedure for giving antibiotics and draw her blood in the back room which I like cause I dont think I have to heart to watch all of it. Fast forward the next day they call for follow-up and giving me the lab work. If you guys are looking for an awesome pet checkup look no more, Garden City Vet Care is the way to go. Thank you so so much team. We love you & we appreciate all you do for Nymeria and all the other animals youre taking care for. God Speed.
