This is definitely worth a check out if you ever visit Nanuet. Food here is absolutely delicious and fulfilling! I especially love their Nacho Mexico’s and their Plato de Carnitas!
Im from Mexico and I dont like Mexican food, I LOVE IT and its very difficult to find a good Mexican restaurant I live in Queens NY but its for sure that I will drive all the way to nanuet.
Delicious authentic Mexican food! Try the guava sangria, guacamole, enchiladas in mole sauce and the tacos!
The food was excellent! I especially appreciated how patient and kind the waitress was. Everything was very clean and the decor was so cute, everyone in our group commented on it! Family-friendly and looking forward to returning.
Never have I felt the need to leave a review after dining out but this gem of a restaurant deserves it. Amazing authentic delicious food and reasonably priced. I had their mole poblano and seafood cocktail (vuelve a la vida) and I can’t wait to try them again.
Honestly- the staff is so warm and friendly from the moment you walk in, its like they invited you over for dinner at their house. The food was delicious- flavorful. Traditional like homemade love. Carnita melt in you mouth YUM!Skip the mass produced fast food at Chilis, Moes and Chiptole next time your craving Mexican. Take a chance on this gem of a neighbor restaurant right around the corner! You wont be sorry. Ample outdoor seating as well as indoor. Ill be back and recommending to others.
Finally, a restaraunt destined to succeed on this corner! Food was delicious and service divine and a wonderful casual vibe. Guacamole was fresh made and just like momma would make if she were Mexican! I had shrimp platter that was a special of the night and it did not disappoint. My honey had a charred Branzino fish that was also delish. I recommend you definitely give them a try.
The best tacos!! Seriously! Some of the best al pastor and chorizo you can get. Bisteck and suadaro also great (they all are!) Homemade salsa and hot sauces are perfect.Tostadas de jaiba (crab) are amazing!!Fajitas are large portions and full of flavor.Really everything has been great.Large covered patio with lots of tables and fans.The staff is fantastic! They are now serving limited alcohol (delicious sangria!!)Tell your friends, this place is truly a hidden gem. Parking lot in the back.We go once a week for tacos 😁
Wonderful experience. Staff are very friendly. Food tastes clean and the flavors, levels of salt, textures are, in my opinion, perfect. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very nice. Is it too much to say I’m falling in love? Who knows.
Delicious food and cocktails! Staff was friendly and attentive. Its difficult to find authentic Mexican food in the area but Gardenias has solved that problem. Highly recommend!!

2022-07-20The place is filled with bright colors, nice decor. Option to dine outdoors under the yellow metal awning where there are tables set up, and 2 big comfortable sofas or dine indoors in the main dining room. Servers are attentive, and professional. I ordered 2 margaritas, first one regular, 2nd one watermelon, however they ran out of watermelon so i opted for the strawberry, and they served complimentary salsa and chips. They were delicious. The food was hot, and tasted delicate to the palate. I ordered guac as an appetizer, shrimp cocktail Mexican style, and a meat plate, and to finish for dessert plain Flan. They offer vegan, as well as other delicious looking options. The portions were not excessive nor small. I enjoyed the experience very much. I went back again a few days later with my wife, and her best friend.

2021-10-03The staff and owner are awesome! So friendly, so accommodating, so helpful... Service not only with a smile but also a few laughs! My husband and I had a great time chatting with the owner! Okay lets talk FOOD! Everything we ordered - mostly standard items, were DELICIOUS! Everything was so fresh and flavorful... From the chips and salsa they start you out with, to the guacamole, ceviche and chicken and beef tostada... Something new for us, that we had been dying to try, was the birria or quesabirria tacos... we decided on the quesabirria (because who doesnt like cheese) and it comes with this dipping sauce which is more like a mouthwatering soup... OH EM GEE - FANTASTIC!! We literally wanted to drink it LOL ... Oh and the ambience is wonderful whether you sit inside or out. Please do yourself a favor and give Gardenias a try... you will not be disappointed!

2022-03-31This restaurant is a gem!! Authentic mexican food that is delicious!! The service is excellent and the people that work there are super friendly, you feel like you are home. Great music, sometimes they have live music! Guacamole is super delicious with chunks of avocado. Their tacos are outstanding and the margaritas are to die for!!! Dont pass this place up! Go today!!!

2022-06-08In the famous words of Nike, just do it.The food is wonderful. We ordered the guacamole, tostadas de jaiba, beef tostadas, camarones a la diabla, and the tres leche cake. Everything was superbly cooked and seasoned, and to be honest we could have eaten 12 of the tostadas de jaiba. The service was excellent. While it was clear that they were pretty busy, the waitresses were friendly and on point.There is no reason not to come here once and then again… and again.
