Garnet Health Medical Center in other cities:
If I can give this hospital negative 10 stars I would. Came to the ER with my father in law only to be outcasted by the front desk. He didn’t speak English and couldn’t breath well from his lung cancer. They would not let me speak for him or translate. I was told to sit In a corner with a bunch of people with no mask. The blond nurse was so unbelievably rude to me and I couldn’t see my father in law for over 2 hours. His own son was not allowed to see him. This hospital is pure trash. I will never come back after they killed my family member.
I passed out at a group breakfast. I was taken by ambulance to Garnet hospital. I was so scared! I was taken to my room and was placed in my bed. So gentle and caring as they were putting me in bed.The physical therapists came into my room after a few days to see if I needed therapy. They brought a walker. I got out of my bed and we walked around the floor. Came back to my room and the therapist said that I didn’t need therapy! I told him that it was the wonderful staff that they had. I was taken good care of by them. I consider myself lucky to have been brought to a Garnet hospital.
We, my wife and I have double insurance. My wifes is the primary since I am retired. On two instances, an injury with my daughter and my son on separate occasions the hospital sent the bill directly to a collection company rather than to us to let us know they were tired of waiting for payment. When called to try and resolve the staff can find no record with the date of service and name of patient, unbelievable and unprofessional. The payment is inevitable but Garnet feels it necessary to strong arm and bully because they can.
Last Friday, I went to ER for my chest was in a pain and had a hard time to breath. My fiance and I sat in the waiting room for like 5 hrs then finally they called me in. The Dr came in and brought VRI for interpreter and Drs head bend front of the VRI screen on ipad blocked that I cant see what the interpreter said and I was frustrated but I stay calm. Then few nurses had a nasty looks at me when they were frustrated to find my veins for blood work and thats really not professional how they were doing for their jobs... Really? Everything was finished and I got results already and the Dr told me that the nurse will come in quickly soon to get me discharge but I was waiting for another one hour and half and same nurse who had a nasty looks at me and she didnt put a tape on my gauze pad on my hand and let me leave even not sign on the paper for discharge at all. I was in ER for 8 hours!Today, I went to the hospital for my colonoscopy and I met few nurses and my Dr were amazing and sweet ever I met! I give this 5 stars today
They bill patients even after insurance company pays , they also put in wrong billing codes and refuse to correct the codes so insurance companies will pay . Doctors and nurses are extremely incompetent. My family members have been misdiagnosed one many occasions then when recieved 2 nd and 3 rd opinions from top specialists in NYC we were informed the doctors at Garnet were wrong. Their covid19 policies are outdated, they treat patients and their families as afterthoughts. I suggest if youre looking for quality , professional care you go to Westchester or NYC . If you have a family member who is dying they will not allow more than one family member in meaning if your parent is dying you can not swap out visitors only one person the entire stay. So if you have more than one sibling only one is allowed to say goodbye. If your child is in hospital they will only allow one parent in so if the childs mother bring child in the refuse to ever allow father to visit . Go to another hospital is my advice other hospitals do not have these same rules
My son has been to the ER 2x they saw on the scan that he is backup with feces. They gave him a depository and sent him home. It has been over a month and the 2nd scan showed more back up. I’m sitting in the ER for 1.5 hr because they don’t consider this an emergency. My son has Austin’s and hasn’t sleep in 2 days from the headaches aches and stomach pain. His seizures start up again. I guess he has be fully toxic or past out for them to take this situation seriously
Im a Trans veteran with a rare glandular issue that prevented me from getting a vaccine. I came in uniform to see my gigi in the hospital. the receptionist was very rude and gave me a disgusted look. She asked me for my vaccine card and when I explained my condition she had the audacity to laugh. I was so hurt that my sacrifice was so meaningless to her. The security escorted me out. PLEASE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONES PLEASE KEEP AWAH FROM THIS DUMPSTER FIRE.
I’m currently a patient here. It’s a horrible experience to say the least. I am often waiting 2-5 hours for my sheets to be changed, drenched in sweat and extremely itchy. I have an ortho injury, so, I do need a hand bath. The few times I’ve gotten it, it wasn’t good and I still didn’t smell clean. Everything feels rushed and the entire hospital feels extremely understaffed and many staff lack integrity. My lunch and dinner was only correct for the first two days and then was different everyday since. The nurses have often forgot my meds I’m on as needed, but they forget to remind you when they’re due, “as needed.” Meaning, if they forgot to tell me two hours ago, “your pain meds are due,” I won’t realize until it I’ve run clean out of pain meds and am in extreme pain. Some of the nurses are very trashy and rude, and they get in your face/talk back. Others just talk back and seem to not take pride in their job. Bedside manner is horrible. As I lay in my hospital bed, wishing for a proper cleaning and room clean up, I only want to be home and being taken care of by my wife. Oh yeah, and they gave permission for my wife to stay with me on a weekend and then changed their mind after she was there trying to get in! That was a $125 Uber (approx. 60 miles) to the hospital from where we live). I had to spend another $125 to send her home, totaling $250.I’m so stressed, annoyed, angry and upset.
We had our 2 daughters delivered at this place on a 6th floor. Starting with a security guards and front desk personnel everyone is very friendly and professional. Special thanks to doctors, nurses and medical assistants. Plus private rooms are very good and food is delicius.
Go back to being Orange Regional... Fire the CEO. Order the supplies the Nurses need. As for the Doctors - You be lost without the Nurses. PS: Hospital needs to be cleaned and repairs need to be done its looking bad and worn out in the ER rooms and Patients rooms. Do better! ✅
Birthing experience was great. Everything after was subpar. My baby spent 4 days in nicu and came home with a rash on her bum so bad it was bleeding, and a bruise on her tailbone from probably sitting for so long. Information from nurses was all over the place like everyone had their own opinion. Lactation specialist Renee was wonderful.
This hospital has gone down hill. Went in walked up to desk was not asked why are you or even a hello was told theres a five hour wait. And this was from a nurse who once took care of me in the back. Once she left another nurse came out and was so rude to everyone. When I got in the back the Dr was nice but I know she was acting on a report I made about another Dr. Very sad
Where do I start? Let’s see, I had an MRI- w/ Contrast done on 3/17/22 it is now 3/24/22 and I called the hospital to find out what is going on. Ready for this! They tell me that the doctor that reads it will be in tomorrow and it should get read.!!! This is a very important test for my health. ( and all tests should be considered the same) I them asked if we know for a fact it’ll get read on 3/25/22? And she says it should. I then said ,”can we confirm that? The person on the phone says. “I’ll leave his nurse a note “. WOW. This is definitely un acceptable. Now tomorrow I’ll have to back and see what has happened. So in the future we all need to ask before having this test done. “ when will this report get read by a doctor”??? I’m a little more than upset and will never use this facility again. And I’m sure no one will ever contact me about why I left this review. I just fell the need to warn ppl. So they don’t have to “walk on egg shells “ for OVER A WEEK for an important result. My personal doctor was upset at all this too. He apologized for Garrett Hospitals mistakes. Sad!!! Everyone stay Safe ,, Tom C.
So far our experience with Garnet is absolutely awful... the communication from pre op testing, for an mri and now surgery is so bad... never again will we come here for any procedures or surgery. Most of the staff seem nice but they are clueless as to what is going on. And one staff member in particular was a b**** getting offended while we expressed the lack of communication. They have more then enough staff sitting around doing nothing. NEVER AGAIN
They take the caring out of healthcare. The staff contain some gems, but those in charge, the ID review board, and many of the doctors are compassionless, scattered, and don’t know what they’re doing.I was trapped there for 9 days and on day 9 my doctor has the gall the call my room and ask why I wasn’t taking the meds I’d been begging them for all week. Truly barbarous treatment.
Waited over 2 hours for a sever food allergy reaction. Never seen, no follow up to check on him while waiting. Zero compassion nor professionalism. My child had a swollen tongue with difficulty swallowing. I gave Benadryl and waited as he was also getting stomach pain. Terrible. Never again.
Do not go to this Hospital the healthcare has diminished drastically since they fired their entire staff that didnt want to get vaccinated. Now we have inexperienced, incompetent Techs, DRs & nurses with the most vile personalities.Congratulations ! You are #1.For the worst Healthcare facility.
If I would have an opportunity to give a 0 ☆ I would do so. I got very sharp stomach pains and diarrhea. Was seeing someone with the doctor title 4/2/21 less than 5 minutes. Didnt get any pain relief. Just send it to Walmart to buy Imodium. Does it call service??? Its a business, how to make an easy money. After going for me for every single penny. Took me for collection for $35. It was on Concord location in S Fallsburg.SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON YOU!!!Stay away from that monkey 🐒 business. SOS
Horrible staff, from case managers to nurses and docs. Dad admitted for post op care and they wanted ti discharge him home without services. The case manage without knowing my family situation told me its my job to cook, clean and do his laundry. The nurse overheard a loud arguement in his room and called security to escort me out of the facility. He was there 6 days and they couldnt get an irder for him to take a shower in his room. The CNA was useless, did not provide him any personal cares to ensure he was cleaned properly. It was easier to let him fend for himself. The doctor sent him home with no post op care orders for me. The man just had carotid stenosis a huge scar swelling bruising its bleeding. Hes my oroblem now.
Where do I begin? Nursing staff is amazing-attentive and understanding-and the only people who will contact you. If anyone has received any attitude from nursing staff-trust me-they are overworked and (Im sure) underpaid!I understand that its a healthcare mill just keep spinning and grinding out patients and surgeries. Staff is a skeleton crew. Financial advocate and advisor department in particular NEVER answer the phone-only call you back at their convenience. Financial advisors are VERY misinformed or untrained giving inaccurate information so you are unable to make an informed decisison about your ablity to AFFORD your care. The pamphlets and printed information lists unworking and invalid phone number contact and extensions.I have been to the emergency room at both the Orange County regional site and the one in Harris, NY and, as most other reviewers state, you wait a LONG time-minimum 4 hours (and oddly there werent too many people waiting along with us at that time). If anyone can advise on this platform of another place in the area please share. My nonagenarian parents are-THANK GOODNESS- in decent shape and Id like them to benefit from a better level of care than the doctors and service affiliated with Garnet (and even Crystal Run) can provide. Are they the only game in town (my parents are in Sullivan County)?Such a tragedy and a travesty that our healthcare sytem is so broken- I guess the Garnet Helth Corp. wanted to make sure that negliable care is done in a brand new, shiny, million dollar health center.
Today is June 30, 2022, months after my first review and my billing saga still continues. Immediately after my first review on Google, a person named Jocey called me, we went over the problem I am having and she assured me she was going to call me back and left me a phone number to call, just in case. Well, her voice mailbox was always full and when I called the main number, I was put on hold and disconnected. I NEVER heard back from anyone.I HAVE NOW BEEN CONTACTED BY A COLLECTION AGENCY!It is time for me to contact my insurance company as they billed and collected a payment for service that was a follow up for a surgery. This is very frustrating, unacceptable immoral, and very unprofessional. If I could give a negative 10 review, I would.I am having a billing issue. I have made calls to the billing dept., called doctors office directly, sent emails as well as inquiries via USPS and there is no response. I am now being told my information is being sent to a collection agency. Maybe posting this will get someone’s attention.
Just sat in the outpatient lab area for 1/2 hour. Watched the techs walk in and out of the office where they clearly saw me. A gentleman, employee, walked in spoke with the techs and walked out….NO WHERE IS THERE A SIGN THAT SAYS OUTPATIENTS MUST WAIT IN THE MAIN LOBBY!!! Was finally informed when I knocked on the window ….. horrible !!!Was not informed at registration. What a joke!
We asked multiple nurses and doctors to make my grandma a DNR to respect her and my families wishes. Every-time we were blown off and never able to fill out the paperwork. Not only is that illegal but also morally wrong. Code status/patient advocacy should be #1 on the priority, but I guess not here.
Mental health part of the hospital is awful they make you feel like a criminal because you suffer from depression and anxiety. Dr sits with you for 20 minutes asking you questions then when you are released you look at your paper work and they diagnose you with something else. Never again. GARNET SUX.
My wife delivered our first child here. Everything was top notch, right from the security staff on entrance to the nurses, doctors and other caregivers. We had one very negative experience with the anesthesiologist, however, the overall experience was so positive that my 5-star rating remains! Special thanks to everyone on the maternity ward - dr Camille, Melissa, Sharita, dawn, Kristen and many more.
Don’t go to the urgent care with any actual urgent matters. You’ll be told to sit out in your car for over an hour and a half and be given the run around when you call again. Been waiting on a rapid COVID test to go back to work as well and over 36 hours later I still have no results on MyChart. Not like I need to go back to work or anything. Not worth visiting unless you go there via ambulance
Edit 2: Was able to tag onto the email sent by the main hospital and the financial advocate for Catskills was able to get us the info we needed. Rep was out of office for a week, but from what a rep at main said, there is only one advocate for Catskills, like I said, I know everyone is short staffed, but its hard for a patient financial service office to run with only one person in a position and its a lot of stress on that person as well. I guess theres some process changes theyre working on.Edit:Someone from the main finally contacted back after we contacted the patient advocacy line. Still waiting on the documentation, but they called us right back after leaving a message....and they never did send it. Also side note, Garnet Health Main and Garnet Health Catskills I guess dont share systems, so if we cant get through to anyone at Catskills, no one else has been able to help. We did get another call back today from main and theyre going to email the Catskills rep for us again. I understand everyone is short staffed and most financial assistance departments at hospitals are swamped during the best of times, working in that field myself. But its been a month and a patients financials are on the line. Hoping that we can get some help.Previous:I cant speak for the hospital, but the financial advocate department (Catskills) is being incredibly rude and not returning multiple phone calls requesting a copy of the financial assistance award letter for a patient. Have provided direct confidential fax, email, everything. They initially copied down the email incorrectly and we have not been able to get them to contact back after contacting a couple times a week for a month.
I was in today to have an ultrasound done . The check in receptionist asked me what is my nationality ! Also asked me to provide my husbands card for his vaccination card! So I had to get my husband to show her . He was in the waiting room. Im a 100% sure the nationality thing is against every single rule !
Super pleasantly surprised. Spoke to a young lady by the name of Brianna from call center, and asked her a question that had nothing to do with her work environment and she managed to go out of her way to find me the exact information I needed. Rather than huffing and puffing, or saying its not in my pay rate she made it possible. Need more people like this in the world! Big thank you!
TERRIBLE CARE! TERRIBLE SERVICE!This was the worst experience for any ER services. My sister was there on 11/15/2021 with shortness of breath, chest pain and extreme weakness. The staff and doctor were not helpful at all. Even worse, they wanted to discharge her without any treatment or stabilizing her. After hours of insisting on treatment, she finally received the treatment by reluctant staff. She asked for juice and was ignored for hours. One of my sisters had to drop off juice at the hospital for her. She left the juice with the staff because she was not allowed inside. We called later, only to find out that the wicked staff did not give her the juice at all. They claimed they needed a nurse to do that. The behavior of the whole staff including nurses and doctors was abhorrent. They treat people so inhumanely. Terrible care and terrible service. I would not recommend this place for anyone. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN.
So far the only experience I’ve had is making appointments for diagnostic testing‘s to be done and I have to say it was quite efficient, helpful and expedient. Compared to two other places I tried to schedule with and was bounced all over the place their scheduling department is very efficient. I’ll let you know later how all the testing goes.
The older woman with the tattoos should not be in direct contact with the patients. Her condinsending attitude should earn her a slap in the mouth with a hammer. And the staff that was a good team is apparently no more.I am never going to come here again.I have to worry about being arrested because your hospital emergency room staff thinks therere privileged...
Arrived at the Urgent care section for evaluation, Shortness of breath, trouble breathing, light headed. The urgent care did NOT evaluate me whatsoever, told me to walk to the emergency room which was all the way over on the other side of the building. I almost collapsed during the transition from urgent care to the ER. You would think that they would of transitioned me over via wheel chair, but NO they did NOT. I understand it was close to 6pm and that is their closing time but patient care and safety doesnt have a cut off time. TERRIBLE patient care or consideration for patient wellbeing. when I finally arrived at the ER section it took them an hour to take my vital signs, my blood pressure was 160/95, oxygen level was 93, and I still had to wait SEVEN HOURS TO BE SEEN. I eventually just walked out and went home, only to follow up with my primary doctor this morning. Garnet Hospital obviously needs better management and administration. Running a hospital means more than just collecting a check. Did I mention the nurse (Lizette) at the ER desk was doing school work from a college book !!! maybe thats why it took them a full hour to do a set of vital signs on me. Will never go there again.
Total waste of time. People are pleasant, but you’ll be waiting in the ER for twelve hours, and sitting in a bed for another twelve, or more, waiting for people to do their simple tasks. Total waste of time. Find some place else, and don’t come here if you have a gunshot wound, or you’ll likely bleed out in Triage.
Only giving two stars because the tech in the ER Evelyn was super helpful. My husband is currently in the ER needing dialysis, short of breath and bad kidney pain. He’s been here for over 3 hours. First, they put him in a room with a covid patient. Second, said patient got all her test results back within an hour and had a full explanation and plan of care for her. The doctor finally came in to talk to my husband after I asked 3x and all he could tell me was ‘he needs dialysis but we have to wait on another doctor to call’. I asked when he would get dialysis and what the plan was and received an idk. Resident Doctor clearly didn’t want to help and the nurse either had too many patients or doesn’t care about her patients.A physician came in as I was writing this and did do his best to answer any questions but a resident should be versed enough to at least give a patient that needs medical assistance a minute from their day.
My father and I were recently patients at Garnet Health in Middletown New York. I just want to say that we were on two different floors including the emergency room and every single nurse and healthcare provider were exceptional. I have never been so comfortable in a hospital setting. I want to thank All of the nurses, aides and support staff on the second floor, on third floor and in the emergency department for their professionalism, their caring their compassion and their temperaments. Because the times I was not the easiest patient.
Had an appointment for my father in urology that department is amazing 10 starsDr seny my dad ,79 yrs,, to emergency dropped.him at the uncovered entrance ,it was raining,Sent him in and parked the carI went in they told.me I cant wait with himSo I said he just lost his wife of 50 years he isnt sure whats going on I need to be with himThey said as soon as he goes.in a room maybe 15 -20 minutes I can go inCalled in 25 minutes they say another 20 minutes I call 20 minutes they say half an hour.My dad is calling me asking me.where I am and tell someone at the house to turn on the lightCall.again guy says they are just finishing up about half an hour you can see.him , unless they admit him especially not hereI said no worries they are not admitting himIll take him to someplace I can be with himUrologist sent him down there for his groin. Hospital is horrible!!! The front desk staff is rude and could careless you have an emergency. Took them over six hrs to give any medication by that time I could have just suffered and stayed home. Some of the nurses were friendly others did not know what they were doing and they give you more tests just for more money not because you need them not to mention I have been mis diagnosed twice in the past. Once they wanted to rush me into emergency surgery for appendicitis when it was an ovarian cyst. Won’t be going here unless i really have to and can’t make it elsewhere
HORRIBLE PLACE HORRIBLE STAFF DO THEY KNOW HUMAN CARE????? My friend went here to get checked out.. THEY SENT HER TO PSYCH!?!? Didn’t ask if she needed to contact someone, didn’t let her leave, WE THOUGHT SHE WAS MISSING PEOPLE CALLED THE COPS TO CHECK FOR HER!!! SHE WAS THERE FOR 7 HOURS BEFORE BEING SEEN ONLY TO BE TOLD ITS A MEDICAL CONDITION. They basically kidnapped her, WOULDNT let her leave, SHE DIDNT SIGN ANYTHING STATING SHE HAD TO STAY, her mom called to see if she was there AND THEY HUNG UP, WOULDNT LET HER TALK TO HER. If you care about your friends/family DO NOT LET THEM GO HERE
This hospital should have a negative star rating starting with the charge nurse on 4 east jorgina. I drove an hour and a half to drop off things my mother needed after a full day of work myself. I am the only one in the family who is vaccinated and might I add I only got vaccinated to be able to see my mom because you guys madate it.on previous occasions I was allowed after visiting hours to see her because every other charge nurse was compassionate but not jorgina.you should be ashamed of yourselves not allowing me to see my mother and then telling me shes sleeping when I was on the phone with her.
Very good emergency room! The best I’ve probably been to. The nurses & doctors are very nice & professional. There was just one nurse that was In the Covid positive room that was rude. I asked her very nicely for a blanket, as she saw me shivering. She asked If I had a fever, I said no, since my temperature was taken. She walked right out, never brought me a blanket or sheet & never returned. Also, was very aggressive so with In finding my vain for the iV. She seemed stressed or under pressure & did not handle It well.
Waiting timeis six Hours at Garnet in Middletown. It’s absurd. What sort of health care is this anyway? People come in with kidney malfunction and appendicitis and have to wait six hours to even get a bed. Yet the CEO makes over two million dollars salary. I’ve written to News12 investigates, now I’ll write the Congress people to let them know. You should do the same.
I went to the ER today for abdominal pain I have had five surgeries in 2 years two of them at this hospital I have always admired this hospital but today is a different story. The doctor who saw me today well he is a pa named David Jacobson he is the worst person I have ever met not only is he rude but he has no bedside manner whatsoever folds his arms doesnt look at you and talks about how he was in surgery for 12 years youre a PA you probably stood and watched. I cannot believe how much this hospital has changed since the name changed it has become a joke
I was admitted to Garnet Medical Center on 4/7/21 via the Emergency Room. Although I was frightened about my condition, I was made to feel at peace by the doctors, nurses, and staff. I didnt know what to expect, but I was very pleased with the treatment and care that I received. I liked that the doctors and nursing staff showed compassion, and took time to answer all of my questions. When I was discharged, they made sure that all medications that I needed were brought from the pharmacy to my room. Not only did they verbally go over how the medications were to be taken, I was given a print-out of the directions and instructed again. No one wants to be in the hospital, but it sure makes a world of difference when you are sick and knowing that you are getting good care from the medical staff--doctors, nurses, and aides.
I was admitted to Garnet Health Medical Center on 5/12/21 for chest pains, upon my arrival to my room the nurses were very welcoming, I was treated with respect and was made to feel comfortable. The nurses was not in any rush or any hurry to get me settled, they helped me and afterward I was settled I was offered a drink and a snack which was well appreciated as I had not eaten for a couple hours. I met quite a few nurses during my three day stay and have to say that I was treated with so much care and compassion from these individuals who took the time to not only do their jobs but went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I don’t remember a lot of their names but please forgive me... each and everyone of you guys who took care of me, thank you, thank you and not only the nurses, the nurses Aids were just as nice and passionate about their jobs, Ariana, I wish you the best in your soon to be nursing career, thank you. Mirna, you are really good at your job and always want to make sure no one falls, thank you for making me feel safe, good luck to you as well. Now I think I can remember a few nurses, Jessica, Ginny, Morgan, thank you and to those whose name I forgot thank you. All in all my whole stay was memorable because of all who passed through my hospital door and again I thank you and thank you for all you guys do.
I had my first born at St.Lukes hospital. And they were just...ridiculous, rude nurses...it was awful. I came to Garnet Health to have my second and this experience was amazing. So much better than my first. The nurses were so nice, attentive, informative and just all around helpful. The surgeons were so nice. Recommend mothers and their families to come here if they choose to. Thank you so much
This hospital is disgusting chair, floor in the er room my son was in had blood and hes sharing a er room with someone else.my son has cerebral palsy and epilepsy and they have him sharing a room.. they take to long for something quick and simple...4 hrs and still waiting
In the past we have had good experiences at Garnet. Lately not so much. It is not uncommon to wait for HOURS in the ER waiting room. Our last visit was two weeks ago. The triage nurses were very rude. I’m sure they are tired and overworked, it was obvious how much they hated their jobs. I had a similar experience a few months ago in the ER and hoped it was a one off experience. I guess it is the standard of care now. 6 months ago my daughter was taken there by ambulance after a car accident. I was told to call a number to get an update on her status. The person on the phone was very rude as well, I couldn’t believe how unprofessional she was. I have heard from many others in the community of very similar experiences. We walked out on this last visit untreated and went elsewhere. There we were greeted by friendly staff and seen immediately. We are not difficult people with a sense of entitlement, but expect to be treated with dignity in a time of need.
Wonder why Covid is spreading? Just was exposed to Covid, attempted to get tested at Garnet Med Center and was turned away, we were told to call a number to get a password. As we waited outside on hold for 35 mins and still no answer. The security guard was letting people in if they said they had an appt. No password required. So guys if you want to by pass security, just simply say you have an appt. He doesnt verify, he just takes your temp and let you walk right in. Been on hold for now an hour and 15 mins, no answer, no password, so guess what No Covid Test. Thanks to our medical center.
I went in with Covid symptoms, tested positive and also had double pneumonia. I spent many hours in the Emergency Room without food or water or much communication. This was frustrating. They were very busy and I was trying to be patient and understanding. The Nurses really were terrific and did get me a sandwich when I asked. How they juggled all they do was impressive. I didnt get moved upstairs to my own private room until 11:00 p.m., 10 hours after arrival. From that point on, for the next 5 days, the care was outstanding. Yes, they were still very busy but I always felt they had everything under control. It was a very scary time for me and the Nurses and Doctors handled me with confidence, transparency and respect. I am now home recovering a slow recovery. They followed up with many phone calls to see how Im doing or had any questions...I liked that. They made a bad situation as good as could possibly be.
Came to the ER at 9:15 pm been sitting here in pain and not even getting seen yet and it’s 2:30 am. Several weeks ago I was an inpatient here and could not rave enough about the care. Tonight it’s awful. I’m absolutely disheartened at how badly this ER is run! It’s insane the number of people who just got up and left. One man was on oxygen and he said he had enough. What a shame!!
Terrible, if you have a real emergency try and go somewhere else if possible. Went into the ER from losing consciousness and hitting my head on the floor twice in a row along with extreme abdominal pain. I told them I had a history of brain tumors and chronic migraines and their solution was to give me a Tylenol and some simple blood work and send me on my way. No head scans no figuring out what my pain was. Had to go to a different hospital.UPDATE: after seeking medical attention else where I had a broken cheek bone, and I’m receiving ongoing treatment for a heart condition that resulted in the loss of consciousness.
This place is a disgrace. The primary care is terrible. The doctors are rude after making me wait 40 minutes passed my appointment time. I tried both Chasin and Khaliq. Neither were polite to me. No one calls to follow up on blood test results either. Getting proper care here is impossible.
I just had my baby in this hospital on September 22. I was driving all the way to Westchester to see my doctor there that delivered my other two kids. A situation happen where I needed to go to the hospital right away and couldnt drive all the way to Westchester so we ended up going to this hospital instead and how glad I am now that we went here. They are so amazing everyone was so nice and kind and actually cared so well for me and my baby who was born at 34 weeks. The NICU was amazing. All the doctors and nurses were great even the food and the people you call to order the food were so nice. If you are having a baby this is definitely the hospital to go to. I would recommend this hospital. They even help me so much with breastfeeding and actually show how to do it correctly unlike the other hospitals I had my other kids in they just tell you breastfeeding is better for the baby and then they go away but not here I was very happy. Thank you to all the nurses and everyone who cared for me and my child. Truly amazing.
My son had an ambulatory surgery at CR Health Care in Middletown. It went bad, I had to use the ER of Garnet Healthcare and I couldn’t be wiser enough to choose this place. Nurses are extremely kind and professionals. The service itself was exceptional and staff are very patient and accommodating. I had a marvelous group of nurses at the pediatric department, they were Ann, Camille and Evelyn. They deserve a special thanks. I couldn’t be more thankful because sometimes words are not enough but We thank you from the bottom of my heart. Also, the kitchen has a variety of good food. You can order and the hospital accommodate you with the service. A three meal course for the patient and one for the parent. Rooms are super clean and they have a XBox console for the video gamers. Flat screen tvs and a huge bathroom. Thank you nurses and staff for your service. We appreciate you.
I cant thank the Covid Doctors and nurses enough for helping me pull through the scariest experience in my life. The staff was so caring and attentive to my care. The nurses are so professional and compassionate. Shout out to Sara, Tashoy, Esma, Ryan, Gary, Nick, Lauren, Layla, Dr. Khan, Dr. Sharma and countless others. You guys are amazing!!!! God bless.
I was admitted may 3rd with covid and pneumonia..starting at the emergency area my experience was excellent..admitted then to rm 4412 the attention and excellent TREATMENT made me feel that I was in good hands. 5 stars for your hospital falls short I give 100 stars. Nurses, assistants, care givers, the kitchen service it is so well organized. Thank you so much
If there’s 1 thing I learned tonight from my experience with this ER (or lack thereof), is that all the NEGATIVE reviews here are 100% TRUE. Do not run to this ER…RUN AWAY from it to another hospital! The competency and logistical management of this ER is absolute trash.
Today is Friday, August 20, 2021. My mother went into Garnet Health Urgent Care at 10:00am and at 1:00pm was sent to the emergency room for imaging due to sharp pains in her head. She sat in the emergency room for another three hours. This is going on 6 hours she had to wait. The nurse kept stating that they are waiting on a room, but meanwhile 5-6 other people were allowed in, in front of her.Garnet Health has terrible service and do not treat their patients the way they need to be treated.5 years ago my mother went on a cruise to Bermuda and got into a moped accident. Her trip was cut short to bring her home and after a week of being home my mother got really sick. Vomiting, High Fever and she was breaking out in blisters for some reason. She was taken to the emergency room at Garnet, where they gave her something for the vomiting and fever and gave her an ointment for the sores. Not even a week later my mother was rushed back to the emergency room for an allergic reaction, which they treated and took blood, but never ran the blood tests. In fact, the doctor said to the nurse, It is unnecessary. In another weeks time, my mother wound up back in the emergency room, due to her whole body being in excruciating pain and when she got there they took blood again, actually ran the tests this time and it turned out my mother had AML (Acute Myloid Leukemia), which she was then rushed to Westchester. Her white blood cell count was over 300,000 and we were told by the doctor that she should have been dead prior to coming through the doors.3 years ago, my mother went to Garnet Health Urgent Care due to a pain she was having under her right ribs. They told her it was constipation and sent her on her way and few days later her appendix had burst.I dont know how they get away with this treatment to their patients and the misdiagnosis constantly, but sooner or later they are going to kill someone.
Worst “emergency room” I’ve ever been to. I went to the emergency room with my husband late at night and was left in the waiting room for hours even though his blood pressure was at 190 when they took it at the front desk. They took my husband in for a ekg and brought him back to the waiting room and didn’t tell us the results. The nurses at the front desk very nonchalant and inattentive. As I sat in the waiting room I saw another patient moaning and crying of excruciating pain while being left alone in a wheelchair unattended for hours. After waiting for hours we were finally brought into a room just to wait even longer for a resident to come in and say they couldn’t do anything and to wait for the attending doctor. I asked the resident what were the results for the ekg since neither her or the nurses told us the results which is always good. The attending doctor comes in and tells me husband to take Tylenol and Motrin and sent us on our way. This hospital is extremely unorganized and understaffed which is completely unacceptable. I get better and faster service at the dmv.
The hospital staff were very polite. I had knee replacement surgery on Monday 4/12/21. I was set up with in home PT after surgery. The therapists were great. My nightmare began when I found out that I needed to call up myself and schedule outpatient physical therapy. When my 6 sessions of in home therapy was up I was told the earliest appointment that I could get for outpatient physical therapy was Wednesday 4/28/21. With this type of surgery there shouldnt be any gaps in therapy because i run the risk of not gaining full range of motion in my knee. Had I been informed that I had to call to get myselfto set up for PT I could have made those call before the surgery. I would never recommend anyone to have this type of surgery at this hospital.
The care is top notch, most of the nurses are wonderful, the front desk who gives the badges/Id were ok all except the one this morning heavy set with have shaved head, refused to give a 79 year old lady an id until exactly 9am meanwhile everyone else was being issued one. Than proceeded to give nasty looks to my wife. Now we are here from another state, drove 13 hours to be with a lived one who is admitted, we have been coming everyday for over a week now we are aware of the policy etc, being nasty towards an elderly woman who is here to visit her daughter with a life threatening illness is not ok!!!! Our nurse Nadine - aces, top notch, a plus, she is great!!!
Richard and the ladies that work in urgent care is part of the reason people are dying from Covid when people are trying to get tested and trying to move on with their life and get cleared urgent care plays games with the phone you will never get your Covid test done on time and it’s because of the employees they open up at eight but The first patient never get seen until 845
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I brought my child A TODDLER in for a possible concussion. My wife waited for hours and the staff said if you feel he’s getting worse just tell the nurse! Awful service and no compassion! Parents do yourself a favor and steer clear. There were people waiting for 5 hours!
There is a reason they get only a 2.5;star review on their website. The nurses aides are wonderful, a handful of nurse are ok..many are very curt and rude before understanding circumstances. As a nurse who got my start here I am extremely disheartened by the coldness and non caring attitudes of so many. They seem to have forgotten , regardless of a persons age, they are someone’s loved one.
My friend was in the hospital for medical reasons I dont know who she she is because she sent me the tox screen showing everything was negative then an advocate that was assigned to her came to your hospital banging on the door for some one to let her in some nurses refused to let her in but one of the nurses said it was ok this woman went to everyone in the hospital braking the HIPAA law all through the hospital then went to her nephew who works there and had him get her records witch is a big HIPPA law then when my friend said something about her a doctor came in and they told her she was more or less said she was crazy she has been threatened in their and no one has done anything I wouldnt let my dog come to that hospital I have turned this in to everyone I can think of and will continue until you let her out you have violated her human rights this will be the biggest law suit against this hospital everyone there broke the HIPPA law
If you come here bring breakfast, lunch and dinner!! You will be waiting at least 5 hrs to be seen. The nurse told me It would have been better for me to drive 2 hours to NYC then to stay here. I was also told I do not have to wait to be seen by a physician and that I can leave. Still waiting l!!
I went in through the ER at approx 1:30AM,everyone was very accommodating, I was examined & placed in a unit for observation/short term. I needed surgery & essentially needed to stay longer but never moved from the observation area. I truly think it affected my recovery because I was stuck in this little cubicle (3 walls with a curtain).Everyone could hear my business. As well I could hear others. I need to STRESS the staff there was OUTSTANDING ESPECIALLY DONNA RN(days shift) & STAR -TECH. They were very accommodating, empathetic and helpful in every way possible. Physical, mental & emotional. It is very busy unit especially when the Endoscopy unit gets going, they ware able to handle what needed to get done. They worked as a team. When I really finally pushed for an actual room(thanks to Wayne RN) I was moved to a real room & able to feel human again,(take a shower, have some privacy an actual door to close) the experience as a whole was really great,I would just take where I stayed (observation) for so long into account (actually I was told by staff to make sure they document in my chart I was actually admitted & not observation because of insurance issues Dr saidoh,ok ill do that, but howd you know that? Explained it didnt matter,I WAS admitted it should reflect that so I dont pay more & fight with the insurance company. He said your right ill make sure it reflects that.Had I not been told I would not have known it& possibly cause additional issues later.AGAIN the stay as a whole was great, and the care was OUTSTANDING, these are a few points to possibly improve. The staffing a representation of management, I will say in most areas you are doing a great job.Thank you for all you have done.
Their care is superb.Their security personnel at the ER are extremely sympathetic and friendly.Believe me that makes a big difference when you are in an emergency.Their nurses are special in every way, from the emergency room to recovery , to the ward, to the out patients was just exemplary. The nurses were fighting on who was going to take care of my son.You are not getting that anywhere in NYC.Our doctor was just incredible.I was relieved and happy that I did not take my son to NYC for surgery in every way.If you ever have an emergency this is the place to be
Was not to pleased with the ladies that check you in at the ER. No one asked us if we had COVID symptoms. And the other lady takes your blood pressure and asked you personal question out in the lobby for everyone to hear. And was told when we checked in your going to be here a long time Should have left
I had the best experience with the whole staff while I was having my baby delivered ❤️ Everyone was so nice and caring!! The doctors and all of the nurses were so patient and take the time to make sure you are comfortable! What an amazing team!Thank you all so much for bringing my beautiful baby girl into this world ❤️
I checked in to urgent care with covid symptoms and a walgreens positive result from one of the otc kits from the day before. I was ushered to a room where the nurse too my vitals and told me to wait. 15-20 minutes later PA Kelly walked in and asked about symptoms and reason for my visit. I reiterated as stated. She said, “but why are you here?”. I paused, and replied, “I figured a doctor would know what to do.” To which she replied, “No, there is no treatment and you shouldn’t be here. We dont see covid positive patients.” Oh, okay. I’ll see myself out. Should I tell the receptionist the rules or will you or someone else?I could have sworn the were hospitals packed with coronavirus patients and some people even die. This PA sent me home without advising of emergency-worthy symptoms, basic self-care instructions or preventative measures for others in the household.Outrageous.Abilene Oliveras10/14/2021
Garnet Health Medical Center took excellent care of me. From the ER to admitting, they cared for me and was constantly concerned about how I felt and if I was comfortable. After I was admitted, the nurses were very nice. They let me know each and every step that was going to be taken. I highly recommend GHMC for the best care you can get.
No one ever wants to have visit the Emergency Department, but my recent experience was actually very positive. Every doctor, nurse, technician and ED staff person was extremely kind, patient and thorough. As busy as they clearly were, they moved the process along efficiently and were very nice to me all along the way.
Er doctors dont seem know whats going on call the wrong families telling them info about complete strangers. I got 3 separate calls and each one told me something different that didnt even pertain to my family member! Now with this ridiculous vax mandate you cant even go be worth your loved one in the ER or to visit without showing a vax card!!!! BULLS**T!!!! I wonder if that same rule applies to government officials who dont want the vax. Well not the Democrat officials they do what they want with no consequences.
Emergency room is an actual travesty. Found broken glass on the floor and security was aggravated about being notified about it. Garbage on the table tops from God knows how long. Wait time is ASTRONOMICAL. Don’t get sick or hurt at night people. Make sure it’s during your doctors regular operating hours.
I just visited the urgent care center for a severe case of poison ivy/oak. From the first phone call till discharge everyone was extremely helpful, friendly and concerned about my issue. Dr. Osmaan Minhas and all the staff were pleasant to work with and the helped me out right away. The facilities were very clean and new. Will definitely return if I have any future issues.
I had a great experience and a great stay at Orange Regional. From the staff to the nurses and doctors everyone was so pleasant and helpful. In Labor and Delivery all the nurses made me feel very comfortable. Dionne and the other nurses that I unfortunately can’t remember their names were fantastic every step of the way. Dr. Spencer was an amazing doctor and so glad she was able to deliver my baby. In the Mother and Baby side everyone was also very accommodating and helpful. The nurse assistants, nurses(Alice and Verna) but also again there was 3 other nurses that were amazing but I can’t remember their names. So glad I chose Orange Regional to deliver my healthy baby girl!
I stayed here for the birth of my first born. Went in on a Sunday through the main entrance which was nice and clean and spaced out with chairs. Then I was shown to the registration window which was also neat and orderly. From here I took the elevator upstairs to the birthing floor. Upon arrival I was greeted by 3 nurses and taken to my room. First thing I noticed was how clean it was. I’m an ocd type person so cleanliness is huge to me. They also told me they clean the doorknobs of the hospital which is one of the dirtiest things in a room, so it made me more comfortable. Going back to the nurses- I loved the attention provided by them. As I was taken to my room I was given instructions to change into the gown and afterwards my nurse came back, introduced herself, and we immediately clicked. Her name is Sandra Jimenez from the labor and delivery department. If you have her, you are in excellent hands. She makes you feel super comfortable and explains everything so you understand what is going on. The other nurses were nice, friendly, and cared as well but my bond grew stronger with Sandra. After a couple days it was time to give birth. I went into the c section room and instantly felt comfortable. Not only because Sandra was with me for the procedure and she instantly made me feel comfortable, but the staff in there was lively, had personality, and was joking around with each other which made the seriousness/anxiety of the epidural shot go away fast. The whole procedure took 50 minutes and I was then wheeled into the recovery room where Sandra and my husband were filling out paperwork while I recuperated and enjoyed looking at my baby. Once I was strong enough, they wheeled me into my mother baby room and I stayed there with my baby and my husband. I noticed this room to be another nice decent sized clean room. After a couple days, I was cleared from the hospital and wheeled down to my car. Overall my stay went smooth and well and I felt extremely comfortable here being this was my first birth and I will be coming back for the birth of my second baby in the future.
The support I received from the staff made my experience everything I could’ve wanted and more. Being a first time mom is intimidating, frustrating and can be overwhelming but I was heavily supported my entire stay. The wonderful nursing staff answered all questions and made sure I was comfortable. My doctor, Dr. Adams, was the highlight of my stay. She encouraged me and reassured me that I was doing a good job being a new mom and that was exactly what I needed (besides the excellent medical care). Thank you all so much. Amazing experience!!!
I was very nervous about the procedure I was going in for and just about being in the hospital right now but I have to honestly say I got the best care from pre and post surgical to the staff on the 4 th floor bone and joint center. Everyone that cared for me are a true testament to excellence in care. The staff in food service were very considerate of my needs as well and it was appreciated.
My experience at Garnet hospital was top notch for an awful covid disease that I had. I was taken care of by the best nurses you could ask for. They were professional but caring during a very scary time with no family members near by. I can’t say enough of how much I appreciate everyone that cared for me and took the time to explain what was happening and to calm my fears. The nurses and staff are hard working under difficult circumstances that most people wouldn’t even do. Thank you
Not that anyone likes to be admitted to a hospital but if you have to my experience with Orange Regional was a very positive experience. From Urgent Care to discharge everyone was friendly, professional, helpful and caring. The Emergency room, although very busy, took the time to explain what was going on and why. They explained waiting times and admittance procedures. An admittance person was there to do that. When taken to room nursing staff was great. Going the extra mile to make me comfortable. The NAs also couldnt do enough to make your stay comfortable and they made sure you had everything you needed. Cleaning staff was also friendly, professional and helpful. I was on the 5th fl east and I cant say enough of how great everyone was. My Doctors were great also. Explained everything so I could understand what was going on with my treatment. I would recommend Orange Regional to anyone.
When you first enter the hospital to visit someone, who do you see? You see security guards who arent friendly. These security guards shouldnt be here. Ive heard other people experience the same. Guess what? Majority of the people visiting have been around longer than these guards are alive. Ive been a patient when it was Horton Hospital on the hill when I was younger. I had surgery when Arden Hill was in Goshen. The new employees need to go.
I have only positive things to say about my care. I had come from a different hospital that was definitely terrible. Garnet saved my life and did it with compassion. The nurses and doctors are caring and did the right things. Dr. P. Singh is an outstanding surgeon who made me feel like he really cared. Thank you all so much for what you do.Lesley
I spent four days there and had surgery. Every staff member who cared for me was wonderful. The level of kindness, compassion, skill and yes, even humor, was above and beyond. What a gem of a hospital. This kind of care was consistent from the emergency room through surgery and recovery. God bless the staff.
I am CURRENTLY dealing with a situation with the ER. My friend went to urgent care at noon today after being bed ridden for two days. They sent her to the ER. She’s been there since 1pm and she is crying and in pain with a 103 fever and many other serious symptoms and no one is taking her in. She said something and the desk lady said “I know you’ve been waiting a while” and gave her a blanket. I am an anxious mess. She needs help RIGHT NOW.
Dont bother going here for regular or specialty care. The doctors and nurses are nice enough but if you need to call the doctors office for any reason you can expect to sit on hold for 30 mins - one hour. there no direct number so you wait on hold multiple times. and they DO NOT return phone calls when you leave a message. This has made it impossible to receive any kind of treatment because I cant reach them to change my prescriptions to something thats covered by my insurance. I had to find a new doctor in NYC and start over from scratch. Trust me...just find a doctor in the city and go there. for a health system that bring in half a billion dollarsd a year you would think they could hire a few people to answer phones. worst experience ive ever had with a medical group.
Not withstanding some of the other reviews, this is by by far, the best hospital I have yet experienced. It is impeccably clean and quiet while the food rivals a fine restaurant. The staff are civil and helpful with only a few exceptions. On the negative side, they did lose my three thousand dollar oxygen concentrator during surgery and were less than helpful in trying to locate it.
Since the moment I walked in the door, I was treated with respect, This staff here goes up in the above for you in every way possible, if I ever have to go into a hospital again I would hope would be this one. I had the best doctor the Anesthesiologist, right down to the nurses right down to everyone who just does their job beautifully. Thank you all for the bottom of my heart for the best day you can possibly have in a hospital.
Came here after being involved in a cat accident, along with my son and husband, and the treatment we received was excellent. Some of the tests took a little while but since we wanted to make sure the baby was fine, we didnt care waiting. The entire staff was friendly, respectul and extremely caring. Thumbs up!!
This hospital has always been great with my family. This hospital I’m talking about the nurses that my family and I have encountered and taking excellent care of my family members. The nurses are outstanding. I only wish that they give the same amount of training to there case managers that are sometimes uncaring not educated in directing the patient to the proper place for care.
The place is another useless socialized medical factory. Nothing to do with your health, everything to do will billing and wrong diagnosises, likeCrystal run and all these glorified dumps. You health means nothing. Im sure theres some compassionate nurses and doctors there, but most likely theyre the ones being fired for not wanting to become part of the biological weapon experiment known as covid19. The couple doctors I had the expensive and pointless interaction with were arrogant kid doctors. NEVER AGAIN.
My dad was a patient for about 10 days. It wasnt perfect but nothing is. Overall it was good care with only a couple of incidents that were not good. They took very good care of him and communicated very well with the rest of the family during his stay. One nurse in particular, Heather on floor 3 north was very caring and went above and beyond to address our concerns and made sure my dad was taken care of.
Absolutely atrocious my daughter a severe asthmatic with covid went to the er they gave her 1 dose of steroids and sent her home with nothing she asked about the antibody transfusion and they told her it was experimental and they didn’t do it there she got home had a zoom appointment with her dr who was angry because they do give this treatment he called the hospital told them what he wanted for her treatment she goes back and they tell her oh it’s by appointment only she said her dr called ahead it didn’t matter sent her home again with nothing this hospital has gone down hill so bad just horrible
Been trying for 2 solid weeks to get a single call back after 7 messages I left. I repeatedly pointed out I was in much pain and needed to see a rheumatologist as soon as possible and as of yet not a single call or text. Absolutely terrible service, I cant believe the medical situation here, its like being in a 3rd world country.
I have lived in 10 States and 6 other countries and this is quite possibly the worst hospital in any of them. I understand the Covid situation but there is absolutely no excuse for their incompetence. Bottom line is its a corporation and they do not care about patients. No communication between offices/department whatsoever. They have you running around, tell you to go to one place only to get there and no one knows why youre there. They tell you you will have a procedure done on a Monday, only to get there and they have no idea who you are and that you have to make an appointment and THEY WILL CALL YOU to make one. Then you wait days then get a call only to have them tell you they cannot see you for another 2 weeks. During all this time you can become septic from a botched surgery which is why you need to keep going to the hospital and in NEED of the procedure. Not to mention you are filling up with fluid with no where to go and swelling up and in pain, again because of surgery done at this circus. And dont bother filing a complaint with the hospital it only delays things even more, like they are punishing you for even thinking they are in the wrong. WORST HOSPITAL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. What good is a pretty looking hospital if everything else if disgusting.
If you need a COVID test do not come here. Debbie from urgent care will tell you to go to Goshen or to crystal run because they are to busy to do COVID test. She said if you want to wait she will make you wait 2 hours because she’s not wasting the doctors time. - Not great Customer Service. Very sad to have a healthcare provider say those words.
The nurses, nurses aid and D. Mir where the kindest, nicest and very professional team. They opened their shift with a smile and blessing and made sure to end their shift in the same way.My wife was admitted for almost 3 weeks in the hospital and the team made it their business to let us feel as comfortable as they could. The team is very professional and we could tell they are coming to work with a smile and they really care about their patients.
Absolute worst!! Literally every time I call to make an appointment I’m ALWAYS on hold for at least 45 minutes before someone answers. I’m not sure why it takes so long for them to answer and COVID is no longer an excuse. However the care I received from the doctors are great! Once your able to get in.
If youre not vaccinated dont bother going here for help. When the nurses and doctors found out that I wasnt vaccinated they refused to take good care of me. They sent me home with breathing issues, ground glass in my left lung and low oxygen levels. I went to Saint Lukes and they admitted me and I was there for 1 week.
This hospital and their emergency department saved my daughters life. She was born here 2/8/20 we were released home 2/10/20. After many pediatric appointments they couldnt believe how great she was doing with her eating (she was a little baby, 5lb 8oz.. all my children are small as Im a very petite women but all my kids have always been healthy as can be) but on 5/21/20 my daughter Jordyn was rushed to the ER where she coded for 1h40m and by the grace of GOD they were able to save her and get her stable enough to transfer to Westchester on a helicopter. Everyone from the first person in ORMC to the flight nurse were more than amazing! I mean from the doctors to the nurses to their assistants I never seen the type of teamwork in my life that they did to get my baby ok! I know its so late as this was 7 months ago now but Jordyn is still in Blythedale Childrens hospital and made a FULL recovery she is almost able to get her NG (feed tube) out and once it is she can come home! These were an extremely long, emotional, and more than all exhausting 7 months but I owe my life to this facility for saving my little girl ❤️
My mom was just recently admitted for a less than simple cardiac procedure. The staff was very attentive throughout her stay. One particular nurse, Michelle, rates special mention because of the efforts she expended in order to put mom at ease before her procedure. Her kindness was especially appreciated.
My husband was admitted to Orange Regional. His stay was a four day one, and I must say for a hospital stay it was.a very good experience. I actually spent the night with him, and his care was very good, so much so that we are now seeing doctors at Orange Regional on a regular basis. They have a wonderful wound care team. The food wasn’t bad, and the nursing care is very good. Kudos to Orange Regional
I was treated very well my whole time there, 8 days. The staff was great especially the nurses and assistant nurses with whom I was in the most contact. They treated me with respect and kindness and always ready to help. The whole staffs treatment made my long stay very tolorable.
To all of the nurses, anestasionlogist and of course the best Doctor Uy,I must say thank you guys for taking such wonderful care of my daughter Linda who just had inguinal hernia surgery. You guys did everything in your will power to put my daughter and me at ease and comfort during her surgery. Best staff and hospital ever. Thank you!Kerry Huggins & daughter Linda
The Telehealth appointments are a joke. Theres no reason I should have to wait for over 2 hours for an appointment that had been set up just for me to have to reach out and ask for an update. This has happened way too many times and I understand that things get busy but this is unacceptable.
Wouldnt even give it a star. This place is an absolute joke. They dont care about the patients at all. They never do a full evaluation and never tell you all the results especially when some show up bad. They go by how the person looks on the outside, they dont even look at whats actually going on. This place will be shut down sooner then later for sure! Horrible place and wish my doctors werent affiliated with this hospital. Will NEVER recommend it to anyone.
The care my mother recieved from the ER to being admitted with a 7 day stay was amazing. Everyone was pleasant and if i had a question the nurses were so friendly in answering my concerns. They treated my mother amazingly well. All the staff from nurses to food deliverers were fantastic and everything was so clean!
This review is strictly about the labor and delivery/birthing unit. Dr Shah and Dr De Castro left my wife and I informed about everything through out her stay at the hospital as well as our twins. This is the second time my wife has given birth in this hospital and both times weve been happy with the level for care. The nursing staff is attentive, the food could be better, I brought my wife food each day because she wasnt to fond of it. All in all very pleased.
Billing is HORRENDOUS!!! I absolutely love my doctor there but I have been sent to collections for bills I should NOT be receiving. When I go to my visits, I present my insurances and tell them which is primary, etc. How could someone who has had TWO insurances be receiving full bills for services unpaid?!!! Garnet Health billing department is ruining my credit and I have called them and emailed them since MAY OF THIS YEAR! I called again last week and spoke with Joyce who said she would forward my message to Sharon (manager) regarding these bills. Lets see, but at this stage I may need to be proactive and speak to my lawyer about these billing issues so that my credit can correctly reflect my financial responsibility! BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT YOUR MEDICAL BILLS HERE!
Today my grandmother fell and I followed the ambulance to the hospital only to be told that I have to wait an hour to hear anything and as any conserened grand child I called them roughly 30 minutes after waiting and they said it’s only been 5 minutes you need to wait the doctor hasn’t seen her yet I’m sorry but you say a doctor haven’t seen her yet as you sit inside a building that cost well over a 100 million and you don’t have enough doctors to see people then you should be a hospital these people can spend all they money they make preying on the sick to do new construction but can be bothered to higher well trained staff that can speak English this place deserves zero starts to anyone that thinks they should come here your better dying at home
I was there for the delivery of my second baby. Baby born 12/14. Dr wanted to discharge me home 12/15 on blood pressure medication- due to a few high readings in the first 12-16 hours after delivery- but keep baby (this was due to impending snow storm on 12/16). Needless to say baby and I both went home on 12/16. Also, dont hold your breath to see a lactation consultant no matter how much to advocate for this service. Ive been waiting since I had my 1st in 2019 to meet this person after being reassured numerous times that shell be in to see you soon.
The waiting game for discharge is unacceptable! Going on three hours and the cardiologist on staff is still MIA and has yet to read the final results of a test. One other doctor said my mother was fine to be discharged, but we wait and wait. Nurses were great, but I would think twice about this hospital - their excuse: it’s a large hospital! My experience with two larger hospitals, NYU and Mt. Sinai, were positive - they were on top of things! The size of the hospital has nothing to do with it if you have your act together and have sufficient medical staff to cover the needs of patients. Disappointed!
Ive been to this hospital twice within a year, non COVID related conditions. Unfortunately, on the first occasional, May of 2020, I was placed in a room on the same floor with several COVID patients near by enough that I heard a man speaking to a nurse questioning Why do I have to have covid? as well as hearing a women who can barely speak, gargling her words out, literally sounded like she was drowning. The second time I went to the ER, I took my wife there last week for a non COVID related incident and immediate the couple waiting in line in front of us were COVID positive and shockingly the staff allowed them to wait in the same exact waiting area as those who dont have COVID. I refused to sit down and I observed none of the chairs being sanitized after that couple was called in and witnessed several additional patients sitting in the same exact chairs. COVID can live up to three days on plastic surfaces. This is insane and this is how you spread COVID. The only reason Im giving three stars is because the doctors ultimately do their jobs and help identify whatever issue is occurring. Be very cautious going into this hospital because they do not separate COVID And non COVID patients like most hospitals do.
We delivered our third son here and cannot say enough good things. The staff are respectful to wishes and eager to help in any way possible. So grateful for their care for our family. Three sons, three different hospitals due to moves. By far the best. Melissa in labor and delivery, Dr Roman getting baby boy here safely, Dr Owens follow-up care, and every single nurse/nurse assistant on maturity (Tonya, Kim, Vanessa, Morgan)
The local mental health hospitals available in the Hudson Valley are really a disgrace! Garnett health is probably the worst. Discharged within an hr of arrival time, after suicide threat made. No evaluation by social worker, just psychiatrist who insists the criteria for admission, even for one night observation, is not met. Dr. states you must be a danger to yourself or others to be admitted! Is not threatening (and with previous documented attempts) considered a danger to yourself??? This has happened with this hospital at least 4x, only to be admitted next day to another hospital where admitted. Was also told by previous psychiatrists at Garnett, that case was too COMPLICATED for them and referred to wait for outpatient psychiatric appointment. Perhaps they only have interns working there!
Absolutely horrible my friends currently got into a car accident and they told them it will be a 6 hour wait just to be seen, there’s hospitality is trash everything is just trash whoever took over the hospital and changed the name has to give it back everything was running smoother when it was crystal run, there should be no reason for someone that got into an accident at 5pm and still waiting to hear from a doctor at 1am I do not recommend coming to this hospital
I cannot say enough great things about this hospital. The nurses doctors and all the staff are courteous, professional and respectful. My mother had an emergency and was admitted and had surgery there. Thank you to all the staff and the emergency room nurse Erin, you are the best.
Arrived late in the night with my baby. They took us straight in and quickly assessed the situation. They got my baby’s fever down and did some additional tests to make sure that was all that it was. They followed up with me after we came which was nice. I was less frantic and could ask additional questions once discharged.
The entire team works like a well oiled machine, they are all compassionate, dedicated and trained. They see us at our lowest and make us feel like people. I cannot say enough about their level caring and putting up with me during an extremely scary time. From Maria in housekeeping to Ginny and the rest of the RNs, to Sammy and the other NAs they took the time to act like I was the only patient they had. Thank you to all of them because I know I could be difficult. You should all be proud of yourselves, you are true heroes and have my undying love and respect. Im sorry for for being scared and being difficult.
As one of the better hospitals around this place was terrible, my girlfriend got alcohol poisoning over the weekend, she had taken an ambulance in, and I followed shortly behind her, they wouldnt let me into see her. Even though I met all of the standards listed for visiting during covid. On top of that, when she woke up she was wrongly informed by nurses that she was at a party, and that I just dropped her off and left her there. Never told her i was outside all night trying to see her, they wouldnt let me give them personal belongings of hers,(a change of clothes, phone and phone charger, wallet with ID and insurance information) I was told if I didnt leave the property I would be arrested. As if the night wasnt stressful enough.. for both of us.
I cannot say Enough about the facility from ER to admit, both short and longer term stay. The staff is kind and attentive. I have observed them to treat each other in a cooperative, friendly and respectful manner, from maintenance staff to Aides and nurses and even doctors! They work together as a team, helping each other as well as patients and their families. Large private rooms are clean and comfortable and food is good
I went there is support my brother having Hip surgery and I was very impressed with person playing the piano, Security was very respectful when they searched my suite case, I had not checked in my hotel room yet, my brother was supposed to have his surgery around 9:00 am but it was done around 1:30 pm. If I had to have any kind of surgery, I would like it to be done there. The Whole Staff on 4 West - Bone & Joint Unit was extremely professional to the end. Trust me, my brother put the Physical Therapist through the ringer and they did not waver they stayed professional. The Family would like to THANK the doctor, John H and all of the staff for their patience, understanding and Most of all their PROFESSIONALISM, Jackie,Rachel, Doretha, Joanne, Carmen, Danielle, Michelle, Samantha & Kathy. YOU ARE ALL AWESOME KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. :)
Just wanted everyone to know, after several weeks of trying to get Ivermectin for covid prevention from my Primary Care. Dr. Orfali sent message through his office attendant that they do not prescribe that medication. Than they dont care about their patients. This medication actually works and never killed anyone in the 40 years its been used. So dont waste your time, find a Dr. That cares about their patients, I am. Go to YouTube and research Ivermectin.
My experience at Garnett Health Medical Center was great. I decided to give birth at Garnett Medical Center after moving upstate from the city. The nurses and doctors were welcoming and comforting and ensured that my experience was amazing. I would recommend this center to new moms any day!
My most traumatic experience, went in at 6:30 am by ambulance on Sunday Dec.15 with Bilateral quad detachment and tendons that were separated and a fracture.I was introduced to Dr. Toro that was going to do the surgery the following day his confidence was brilliant and comforting at the same time. I was discharged on December 19 and had the blessings of going to the advanced rehab that’s located in the same facility but run by a different group of phenomenal professional caregivers. At rehab I met the most amazing physical therapy don’t know maybe doctor of physical therapy that explained in detail what happened in this fall and what was done and how best to behave to get walking again she laid her back in down some strict rules in which I followed to a T and lo and behold I am walking and I was out of that facility in an additional seven days I name is Lucy Ricardo yes Lucy Ricardo like I love.I always say perception is reality everyone I met from the OR through nursing through the people that clean my room with the most professional folks and I always thought I would be going into New York City for any procedure like this but boy have I change my mind.I’ve had a motto since I was a little kid it goes like this good better best never let it rest until the good is better and the better is best and I really think orange regional medical center has the same motto .
Giving 3 stars soley for the excellent nurses, techs, and staff that took such good care of me while I was recently hospitalized with pneumonia. However the doctors really dropped the ball on medications and callbacks. While hospitalized I was prescribed an antidepressant, and was sent home with a script. It required prior authorization to fill and despite me and my pharmacy calling and leaving messages with the hospital, no one responded and I was forced to go into withdrawal of said medication. NOT professional at all.
My daughter came in to the ER feeling unwell. She was assessed and admitted in a fairly timely manner. I stayed with her and found the hospital to be sanitary, warm and comfortable. The staff were professional and caring, monitoring and managing her care at regular intervals. From the Nurses, NP and Doctors, I was very satisfied with the care and treatment they provided.
I wish I could have given 0 or negative stars. DO NOT go to this hospital. I have never been treated so poorly in my life by a doctor or hospital. Particularly, their Emergency Room. I pulled my back out last weekend and had to go to the ER. I couldn’t move without EXCRUCIATING pain. I hate going to hospitals or doctor offices, but this was some of the worse pain I’d ever had so I had no choice. Instead of being met with compassion and proper care. I was met with some rude doctor who started the conversation by saying their was basically nothing he can do for my pain. He gave steroids and some seizure med that’s supposed to be good for pain. He sent me for an X-ray which showed my damaged back and he sent me home in excruciating pain with a bunch of prescriptions that did NOT treat it. The doctor was just plain cruel. He must have some kind of sickness that enjoys watching someone cry hysterically in pain. I couldn’t even walk out of the hospital. I had to be wheeled out by my wife who then assisted me back into the car for my very painful 30 minute drive back home. I left the hospital in worse pain than I went in with. A week later and I’m still furious about how I was treated. Or, mis-treated, I should say. And still in pain. Can’t even get into a doctor for another 10 days. This hospital is a disgrace. I will never go back this hospital or see any doctors who are associated with ORMC. They dont do their jobs properly and they DO NOT CARE about the patients. They just want your co-pay and to get ya out the door quickly so the next co-pay can take your bed.
Came in to the emergency room (09/12/20) because my son had fallen off his bike and broke his collarbone. We got seen right away and was greeted by the nurse Shawna Meyer after signing in at the front. Shawna was one of the best humans I come across. My son Is 13 years old and suffers from anxiety. She was so down to earth and helped him stay calm and did everything and anything she could to keep him from freaking out. She talk to him, watched a short football clip with him, and just asked him things just to keep his mind off of things. In these days and times, any little bit of kindness comes a long way but Shawna was so much more then just a lil kind. Thank you Ms. Mayer for your hard work you make look so easy. We definitely appreciate you.
We had to bring my daughter there for an emergency check up she was having high fever and coughing hard for several days (3month old), they took care of her very well, we had a good private room, the nurses and medical staff was constantly checking up on us, they ran all the tests and exams and once cleared discharged us quickly. We were in between insurances so we had to pay for it ourselves, the hospital gave us a huge discount and the bill ended up being quite manageable, which was a pleasant surprise.
I was in ormc 2 in August, the first visit I was immediately admitted......everyone made me feel like you was safe and going to be ok. Although I felt like I was going to die. ( no joke,). I had the most wonderful nurses on the 5th floor 1st. Allison and she made me feel better when very comfortable. My 2nd stay they did a gallbladder removal, unfortunately I had to wash for my surgery due to an accidental. But my nurse Barbara was absolutely the best nurse Ive ever gotten she was my health and pain reliever, made me feel like laughing and assuring my that you were br fine .......I feel just how important nurses are in any capacity. Barbara truly cared and I loved see her every day she helped me immensely. You are lucky to have her
The worst experience ever. In the Emergency department the providers are not knowledgeable, the staff is unorganized and have no compassion. Piss poor processes. DO NOT GO HERE!!! if I could give zero stars that would be too much. You will sit in the hallway for hrs, the providers discuss patients diagnosis in the open. To be sick and deal with all this, to add insult to Injury the department is not kept clean.
I had an episode of rapid AFIB, chest heaviness w/ SOB early Wednesday morning with a heart rate of 150-160. First time in my life. Within minutes, I had an EKG, IV, bloodwork, chest X-ray, and was on continuous cardiac monitoring. Alicia E. , a fire haired RN who is a cross of Florence Nightengale and Xena Princess Warrior, medicated me and watched me like a hawk. Dr. Bloom, part man - part Cyberdyne Systems Healthcare Provider Model 101 ( he does not require sleep and runs on a steady diet of healing the critically ill ), quickly diagnosed the problem, treated it, consulted Crystal Run Cardiology and had me admitted. He checked on me multiple times. The Staff on 3 North treated me like a king. The nurses Monique and Monica ( I suspect they are twins separated at birth as they were equally lovely and attentive) monitored me through the night. I was awakened by the angelic nurse Melissa H. In the morning. She literally had a halo about her head, but I think it was the glow from the screen of her computer on wheels behind her. She helped me work through the many options I had been given by cardiology and she discharged me. The NA’s, Elissa, Jacob and Sammy, were wonderful too. They tended to my every need.
Hi, this is Tony Gomez.I would like to say that the crew, doctors, nurses, administrators and everyone there are the best. Even the food is pretty darn good.I would like to say that my stay there was made very pleasant. I was treated like gold by everyone that I dealt with including the cleaning staff. They were friendly and always asked me how I was doing. All I can say is that the nurses were right there when I pressed the call button. It was a matter of a few minutes and someone came in to check out my call. Even if they werent the nurse they came in and asked what was wrong and immediately got the proper personnell. Even through some of the uncomfortable and even embarrassing things, I was treated with dignity, respect and with a smile. I was made to feel comfortable no matter what. I was scared because it was the first time I was ever an in-patient at a hospital. After a few hours I was able to relax and stop worrying. So to all of the staff, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made an unpleasant time in my life easier to go through.Sincerely,Tony GomezHow can I add a photo?I had some nice photos of the balloons as they passed my window.
This is my personal experience. My wife gave birth here last week. And the team here were very professional. We never had to wait long on our needs. They checked on us periodically. No issues whatsoever. I know that there are other patients in other rooms and they have to go back and forth. So I understand. Im sure people who are on here complaining have had an isolated incident. But from what I experienced it was more than I imagined. Believe me. You havent been to a hospital in the tri state area. You might not make it back. Kudos to this hospital. Best one Ive been to probably all of my life..
The nurses in the emergency room are some of the least caring medical providers I have ever met. They talk about patients while other patients can overhear. Also considering the area the hospital is located they should not be as judgmental as they are. Woe to the person who has a drug/alcohol problem, the nurses treat them as subhuman.I gave 3 stars because the pediatric floor is awesome. The doctors and nurses in that department are wonderful.
Communication between shifts is lacking. Lost clothing of my mother. Not very good at writing details in patient charts. Poor transition between units, again lack of documentation and communication. The nursing staff is very kind as are the social.works. Security is like entering g a prison compound. Would not go back.
My husband went to the ER experiencing severe shoulder pain. He was informed that he needed an orthopedic doctor for a cortisone injection. Yet there was no such doctor on call. A large hospital such as this one should ALWAYS have an orthopedic doctor on call. He was admitted overnight for observation and to have tests run the next day but told they were waiting for a room. When finally taken to a room hours later, it was on the same floor as the ER but looked partially vacant and some areas dark. They were not rooms but looked like an extension of the ER. The hospital appears clean but once you look closer there is dirt on the floors around the wall perimeters. This includes bathrooms as well. There was also no or little paper towels available. The hallways in the ER were cluttered and disheveled. Housekeeping staff was no where to be found. I overheard one nurse tell another that she was responsible for cleaning the room and making the bed after a patient left. This is unheard of and should be unlawful. We requested an administrator and she came but couldnt offer much help. Its obvious that the facility is understaffed and the staff provided, overworked and doing jobs way beyond their job duties. There were many violations. If any workers are unionized, they should report this place. This was our first experience with this hospital and if its up to us, will be our last. Wed rather drive further away to get better service.
A Horrendous waste of time, money and insurance.. if you are into watching young girls walking around pretending to be supermodels then this is the Hospital for you. The only one not walking around flinging fake straight hair was the bald mens room janitor. Good luck finding a real Doctor cause your chances are better that you will come across a Nurse practitioner(fake Doctor).. they wont give you the time of day in explaining exactly what is wrong with you. They cut you short and look at you as if you are a Hypochondriac.. I felt more like I was at a wilfred academy of beauty school with people pretending to be medical professionals.. most looked fresh out of High school prancing around waiting to be discovered by a talent scout or hoping to be ogled by all who come in contact with them.. Medicine is a total sad state of affairs anymore.. I went to the ER because I was urinating blood and had a really hard time urinating. While in the ER they gave me a plastic urinal and I urinated several ounces of blood. They determined that I had a urinary tract infection and prescribed a 5day levaquin treatment gave me discharge papers and told me I could leave. I was very concerned because I felt I was getting worse. When I got home I have sudden urge to pee but couldnt and by the time my bladder filled and the Dam burst I saw 5 huge blood clots in the toilet. This continued for hours and I nearly passed out from the pain and the horror of seeing this happen.. I cant Express how disappointed and disgusted I am with orange regional Hospital. This was a complete nightmare. I feel totally unwanted and neglected..
If a patient is admitted to the psych ward with thoughts of suicide, those thoughts will be exacerbated and increase fourfold after spending a few hours with these unbelievably bad doctors and nurses. Yep, Im saying they make people more suicidal than they are when they are admitted- having firsthand experience cleaning up THEIR MESS. Its the treatment. Overdosing teens, withdrawal patients, you name it. THESE DOCTORS PEOPLE RUIN YOUR LIFE.Dr. Snider, Dr. Blessin, Dr. Abie Li, nurse Peggy H and that awful, old, winy psychiatrist with the hearing aids SHOULD BE ESCORTED OFF THE PROPERTY AND INTO JAIL FOR MALPRACTICE IMMEDIATELY.The loophole in the system is that patients were seen by a doctor. Yes, the doctor did see the patient in the hall, in the room, on the bed. But HELP they did not. There was no aid given, no assistance performed. And the doctor, after seeing that you exist, will keep you alive long enough to bill you to death later.Just read all these awful reviews. The reviews will help in a lawsuit- everyone is noticing malpractice, neglect, disorganization. This place is an absolute circus. These listed doctors and nurses shame patients and make them feel worse than when the patient arrived. No help was administered during a 7-hour period. I hope we are able to take this case to court. You are not a patient to these psych ward doctors. You are a clipboard- a medical chart- a stack of income and a reason to send more bills. They dont ask you How are you doing because they care. They ask because they need to write something down to prove that the bills are credible. You are no one to them. They dont care, they dont follow-up. My sister spoke to 6-7 people yesterday and not 1 of them helped. The idiot psychiatrist even said, You seem agitated. AGITATED? SHE WAS LOCKED IN A ROOM FOR 7 HOURS SURROUNDED BY YOUR INCOMPETENT, LAZY STAFF.Just read all these awful reviews. This place should be shut down. Nurse Peggy H in the psych ward feels the need to slight patients. Does that make you feel superior, Peggy? Testing the nerves of someone thats been admitted and shaming them?
I was admitted for 5 days and had my gallbladder removed. I was on floor 2w and every nurse on that wing was awesome but jessica the overnight nurse was so caring and attending my phyiscal pain but emotional as well considering i was barely seeing my 10 month old and was alone majority of the time. She helped me stay focused on the upcoming surgrey. Best nurse experience as a whole group and in speific also nicole from the cda after my surgrey she was having get up and walk and she would be cheering and clapping for me it sounds a bit stupid but i pushed myseld because of her
My 20 year old Autistic son had a meltdown and was by ambulance to the psychiatrist ward and it was the the most horrific experience. The nurse was being rude they didn’t know how to handle my son situation. I was told there nothing they can do for him. The social worker told the doctor can you get him a Valium so he can calm down and mom can take him home. The doctor gave my son a medicine that caused him to have a seizure. When I ran out and yelled help my son is having a seizure a EG tech from the emergency room ran to help my son. I have to bring him back to the ER because 24 hours later he can’t get out of bed. I would never allow my son to go to the psychiatrist ward!
Shout out to the staff in the ICU. My dad was brought in for trauma and received excellent service. He was well taken care of by professionals that were clearly passionate about their careers. Nurse Melanie had a bright and positive attitude that helped me through this uncertain and fearful time. Brian, the financial advocate, was very knowledgable, personable, and efficient in helping my dad get the insurance he needed. Im so grateful to the team here at Orange Regional Medical Center.
My daughter recently delivered our first grandchild at ORMC and we all were so impressed with the care she and baby received. The staff was wonderful. We did not encounter one unpleasant person whether staff on the maternity floor or elsewhere in the hospital. From the healing garden to the lobby (with the gentleman playing the piano) it was a very positive experience for our whole family. We were also impressed with the size and cleanness of the rooms. Thank you to all on the 6th floor.
I dont think the Emergency Room at ORMC gets enough praise. I have been here multiple times for myself and my husband. Every visit we have been treated wonderfully! Even on nights when I have walked in and it is crazy busy, they still manage to perform so efficiently. Thank you to the staff & Nurses at ORMC ED who work so very hard.
I had a really good experience starting from the emergency room staff to the day I was discharged. Everyone there was very helpful and also very caring. They treated me with the utmost respect and courtesy. The nurse on the 5th floor were very caring from the time o was admitted ,all the tests I had to have and also before and after my surgery. ORMC is one of the best hospitals around.
My husband and I flew from Atlanta for a family wedding. We arrived 8/31/18 and was not feeling well upon arrival. By 6:00 am on 9/1:18 I am in the ER hardly able to breathe. Prompt and professional attention and outstanding treatment. Turns out I had pneumonia. Needless to say I was admitted and while I am missing the wedding (as I write this) I cannot say enough about the outstanding care I have received. I have now been here 2 days and will be able to make my flight home tomorrow. While being sick away from home is bad this hospital has exceeded my greatest expectations. The Drs and nurses are exceptional 😊💕. Thank you ORMC for helping me get back home. Five stars!
I arrived there by ambulance as a trauma patient in the middle of the day, Upon arrival, the staff seemed very unprepared and unprofessional. They were running around like chickens with there heads cut off. No one knew what to do and what room to put me in. I told them in many occasions,if you cant handle me then transfer me to another hospital who can. There patient care was the worst I have ever encountered in the industry. They were very disorganized and very uncaring of my pain level and how much pain they were causing me in there diagnosis upon arrival. They were also rude and not very friendly. Then they stuck me in a trauma room alone for almost 2 hours with no phone,tv remote,CALL BELL,or food or water and just forgot about me. I had to use my personal cell phone to call the hospital and there nursing desk to remind them that I was still here and forgotten about. Mind you I had an iv and a back injury so I couldnt even move it get up. Finally after approx. 5 or 6 hours after being told I was being admitted they found me a room. Thats very bad patient care. Then once I got upstairs on to a floor and got a room things got a little better. There were some decent nurses willing to help and do there job but then you had your usual ones who hide from work, and dont care. I dont feel that vitals should be taken over 4 hours after a shift starts and never the nurse came to see me and ask if my pain is alright. Thats poor patient care. The hospital is nice and clean inside. Way to understaffed, patient care sucks.Food ok at best. And I shouldnt have to wait an hour for a wheel chair to wheel me out the facilty. All and all the WORST hospital experience I have ever had. I will never ever go there again. Thank you, Maverick
Every time I come here it’s such a long wait. I had seizures and they gave me muscle relaxers that even my doctor was confused what that would do for me. I get taken in in the ambulance with a 102.7 fever and what are the nurses and doctors doing? Hanging around laughing and talking while there’s multiple people on stretchers including me. At this point I rather suffer at home than wait here for hours for absolutely no help. Save yourself some time and go literally anywhere else.

2022-03-06The doctors, nurses and techs in the ER took great care of me when I went there due to low blood sugar. They were very attentive and helpful. Dr. Spano checked in with me many times and listened to me, so he could figure out what was going on. He even called my endocrinologist so they could work together to get the best treatment plan. Allie was a wonderful nurse with a great bedside manner. She’s extremely helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and great at her job. Everyone I encountered there was great. Thank you all!

2022-02-09I just had my first baby here and I had the most amazing experience. The Nurses here are world class. They are so attentive and kind and just overall beyond amazing people. I really cannot say enough about each of the nurses that took care of us during our stay here! My baby had his cord wrapped around his neck twice and my phenomenal doctor, Dr. Zedek was able to SAVE his LIFE. I am so grateful for the way he handled the situation and was able to move things along even when I was being a difficult patient and FREAKING OUT. So much love for the staff at this hospital! My baby boy is alive and healthy because of you!! (also the rooms were really quite nice!)

2022-01-03The wait to get into the emergency was horrible. It took about 4 hours to get in and be seen. My emergency room didn’t have a call bell, so the only way I could get someone to come to my room is to bend my arm so the IV pump would sound. The staff was really nice, and very attentive, for the most part, but the hospital is very short staffed. For a hospital as big as this one, I expect more people on the floor. Also, I was roomed with someone that was COVID positive! I was shocked when they gave the person the news and then waited 15 more minutes to inform me that I had direct contact with someone who tested positive. All I have to say to ANYONE visiting this establishment…. Wear a mask, and social distance because this hospital is lackadaisical when it comes to testing people and making sure people aren’t exposed. Also, during my emergency room visit, the staff were talking about applying for new jobs. I kinda found that inappropriate in front of a patient.

2022-06-19I am beyond thankful to everyone from the front desk straight up to ICU. They were quick, diligent and extremely caring to make sure I recieved the quickest and most premium care. I went in with trouble breathing and was evaluated immediately that I wasnt getting enough oxygen, then I was further evaluated immediately that I had blood clots on both of my lungs and also blood clots on both sides of my heart. Had it not been for the quick thinking of everyone around me, I wouldnt be alive to talk about it. Thank you all so very much a God Bless You.

2022-06-22I understand that people are Sick or hurt but you don’t put people that come in after you have been waiting 4 hrs when you’re told by your doctor to come to the hospital and they get brought in first. Everyone has a pain, sickness, etc. even if your not staffed properly maybe you need to work on a more efficient way to take care of people. My experience here has been the worst!!!! I rather lay in my bed in pain then sit uncomfortable for hours upon hours. Why can’t this world just get better

2022-01-16The program for mental health is horrible. Once I got there they stripped me of my clothes and put me in a gown and pat me down multiple times. They questioned me for 8+ hours. I thought they would be sensitive knowing about how anxiety inducing just throwing you in a room for an hour just to wait for a doctor to arrive but I guess not. After waiting for 8 hours for the actual doctor he came in asked me 2 minutes worth of questions then let me leave. Like??? HELLO I WAITED 8 HOURS FOR THAT- AND HAD AN ANXIETY ATTACK FOR THAT?? Be better.🧍

2021-12-17Unfortunately I could not visit my husband while he was in hospital. I called every day three to four times to check on him. Always was treated with friendliness and respect. One nurse in particular was my husbands favorite, Michelle Lane. She even called when Heinz got home to check on him. Doctors called and explained procedures and results. Very satisfied with care and treatment.

2022-02-05Have to say I was transported via ambulance do to an infection to my face. I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness from Ambulance crew to Emergency room crew. I was admitted and the same treatment was afforded to me by the 4th floor medical staff and nursing staff. Thank you all for your kindness and care. Also shout out to the maintenance staff and food services. You all made may stay bearable. If I left anybody out my apologies. As much as anybody hates hospitals all these people in my book stepped up their game and provided the best health care a person could ask for. God bless you all.

2022-03-30Every time I come here it’s something new. Let’s start with the terrible parking for the ER. They have a few handicap parking spots next to the entrance and then a bunch of electric car charging stations. Everyone else has to walk a quarter of a mile just to get to the entrance. Is this a hospital or Tesla dealership? Then you walk your loved one who’s having trouble breathing on this 10 minute hike to have her her get screened by security just to enter. Now I’m law enforcement and I get the need for security in a hospital but can we use a little common sense. Then I have the privilege of having security tell me that I can’t stay with my wife. I need to wait in my car for 45 minutes and then an hour after my wife goes in the back to see the doctor I can visit her with proof of vaccination. Now I get the precautions when Covid first hit but this is the end of March 2022. No other hospital is still requiring this and again due to my profession I’m in them all the time. The lack of empathy for patients and their family members is remarkable. Worst part is it’s the only hospital in the area so I’m sure they won’t change a thing. My wife hasn’t even seen a doctor yet and I can already tell you it won’t be a good experience. Let’s hope I’m wrong.
