Speedway in other cities:
Eric Martin Jr. went to Speedway at 535 Kenmore Avenue and purchased two lottery tickets. He won money, and like anyone else would, he went back the next day to redeem his winnings. The manager at Speedway tried to scan the ticket and it came back as “expired” but then accused him of stealing the ticket — she then called the Tonawanda Police Department. As they arrived, Eric asked them to check the video footage to see that he did purchase the two tickets that he returned with the night before. Instead of the TPD listening to him, they grabbed his arm and told him he needed to go with them to the police station. As Eric was in the store with his children, he suggested he could meet them there (as he has done NOTHING WRONG). The TPD demanded he come in their cop car, and when he refused, they beat him and took him anyways in front of his children. He was then stripped down and humiliated — JUST TO FIND OUT that he was correct in his claims once police did check the tapes. The manager at Speedway knew she was selling expired tickets, and caused this issue on her own. Although the police apologized to the family for their wrong doings, an apology is NOT ENOUGH. No one deserves to be BEATEN over asking them to check footage over a lottery ticket.Say the names of the people in Buffalo who need our help. #JusticeForEricMartinJr

Purchased gas from this location on Sunday night. At the pump I selected regular grade for $2.69/gallon and after reaching about $20, I realized I had been charged for premium at $2.93/gallon. I ended this transaction and started another (thinking I may have selected premium in error). I selected regular again and the pump registered premium. I cancelled this transaction and went inside to have the cashier print a receipt. I confirmed on the receipt that I had been charged for premium gasoline. I brought this to the cashiers attention and was told there was nothing he could do for me. He told me once I selected premium thats what I would be charged for. I reminded him that I selected regular and he said I could come back the next day to talk the manager. I proceeded to tell him that I did not live in the area and was told again that there was nothing that could be done. Although this was only a matter of a couple dollars for me, Im concerned about how many others this has happened too without them realizing it. Those few dollars add up and this business could be ripping people off for much more.

2022-08-05This store, employees and police are discussing the way they treated that black young man of falsely accused him of stealing a $30 lottery ticket. I hope he Sues and takes everything that store ever made and police station for every dollar it has. Those police and detectives were excited about looking him up for a $30 lottery ticket. As human beings how do you even sleep at night? You probably kick the dog when you get home. This is and outrage!

2022-06-16Disgusting the way that gentleman was accused of having a stolen lottery ticket. Even more disgusting how persistent and sure that clerk was when accusing him of having a stolen lottery ticket. She should be charged with filing a false police report. And If she wasnt fired then she should be. I will never spend another cent in a speedway and thats where I have been getting my gas for 20 years. It never should have took as long as it did for the situation to be resolved. I hope that man puts a lawsuit on you and gets hundreds of thousands of dollars for the mental and emotional damage your clerk caused him and his family. Sickening

2022-06-17Deffinatly the type of place that gives me bad vibes. I dont like speedway in general but this one is just all around trashy, gross, and not well kept. Also when I looked it up to find gas I read stories of mistreating customers and Im not sure if its justba few employees or all of them. The employee I worked with seemed fine but then again it may be because Im the type of customer theyd like dealing with due to the fact of what I look like.

2022-08-01Bunch of incompetent people work here, calling the cops before verifying if lottery ticket was actually stolen.
