Cool store, was helped by the lady working, who was very knowledgeable, to decide between 3 different games and now i have my new favorite game i am literally obsessed the my only complaint about this place is how small it is, but hopefully they can expand one day
Small ma and pop board game shop that has 120+ board games to sit down and play with friends and family. Friendly staff who will setup and show you how to play! They also have game nights, tutorial sessions and contests. Stop in and give them a look!
I had a super nice experience on New Years Eve at this shop! I came in just a bit before closing and needed some recommendations for games good for two people, and the shop owner was super friendly and gave me a load of fantastic choices to pick through, going into great detail about all of them. I ended up buying two of the ones he recommended me, and they were super fun to play! Ill definitely be back here ASAP to snag some more for shenanigans with friends. Thanks so much! 😊

Been to near every game store in the area and this by far my favorite. The owner is nothing but kind and helpful; very knowledgeable about a lot of the products sold which is impressive with how much there is. This is the only place Ill go from now on for new D&D releases or boardgames.
As someone who doesnt consider themselves a big board gamer, I have become quite smitten with this place. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff and a relaxing environment for playing with friends or making new ones! Very affordable (and even free to play during certain hours, Gather & Game is a top-notch shop and cafe with local treats and staples to fuel your gaming session.
Great place for boardgames and table top RPGs! Joe is very nice and helpful with suggesting games to play and even teaching groups how to play them. Loved it so much we bought a membership. Will be back soon! Coffee was good too!
There is a game here for everyone of all ages, its great! Some games take 2 minutes to play others take 45 min, and some even longer. Its a toy store full of board games but you can play the games there too. Staff is helpful on finding a game that matches what you are looking to play.

We stopped in to get the game Azul. Continued walking and played it over drinks at The Gypsy Parlor. Gather & Games has a nice selection for purchase, and a game library and tables if you want to try out some games in store. Wonderful recommendations from the staff if you are looking for something new.

FINALLY had the pleasure to stop by this game store/cafe after hearing so many positive things about it. I was so impressed not only by the selection but Joe was awesome! Getting into the hobby of ttrpg I’ve had a few experiences at other game stores that were either creepy or gatekeeping. Joe was welcoming and eager to talk and assist in any way they could (even humoring my rambling and offering great suggestions in a project I’m working on with a local organization) going as far as to find one of the new Deep Cuts figures I was on the prowl for and offering coffee. It meant so much to see not only a business owner but someone who loved the hobby as well as the quality of the surrounding neighborhood, that sort of investment is cause for nothing but the utmost respect and can’t wait to make this one of my main fixtures and tell my gaming groups as well! Their membership program is also a great incentive, especially when I’m thinking about getting into GW products, so that’s something to consider as well!!! Also! They put prices on their brushes!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! sounds silly but I think it’s the first store I’ve seen brush prices labeled! Can’t wait to stop by again!

Incredibly friendly owner and staff who always help me out, whether it’s picking a new dice set or just chatting about our game interests and pointing me towards something new. I live 30 minutes out but this store is worth the drive. Support small business, and have a family game night while you’re at it!
One of my favorite places to go! The owner is super welcoming and friendly and there are always a ton of new tabletop games to try out! I’ve also found a lot of single Pokémon cards to build some fun decks!

Buffalo needed a great board game shop and someone finally opened one. Theres a great selection of board games. selection is a bit of a greatest hits spread with a few hidden gems to discover.They also have painting supplies for painters of miniatures.The owner Joe is also possibly one of the nicest people in the world. I highly recommend this shop

Im not at all surprised that this place has all 5 star reviews. I was pleasantly amazed at how well stocked both the game library and the stock of games to buy were. I feel like I could spend my entire paycheck there, and the prices are super reasonable. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, plus there is a free parking lot nearby!
This place is great! Joe is one of the nicest guys you could meet and he is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about tabletop games. I always enjoy visiting because he never fails to greet you with a warm smile and a personal chat about games that might interest you.The shop is very cozy with good snacks and music and presents an incredible value with memberships at $25 (which also comes with a 10% store discount) or single-plays for $3. Go play and support a great local business!
We had a great time at Gather & Game. We stayed a couple hours and learned a few new games. A lot of laughs were had! The owner is super friendly and helpful. There are drinks and snacks available. And, if you really love a game, there are many available for purchase. There are games for all, even our 7 and 10 year old kids found games to play while the adults played theirs. I highly recommend the place and look forward to returning myself.
Had a blast. Cool vibes, great game selection and some merchandise available for sale. We were loud, might otherwise be a quieter venue, good for college kids or small groups looking for a local hangout. Was there with some friends from work to play Cards Against Humanity..we were there for 2 and a half hrs- only $3! Can buy coffee/tea/ snacks/waters and all goes towards a small private owner which is great! Definitely will be a regular spot for us. Parking on grant st. seemed fairly accessible around 5pm.

Stopped in just to look around. Joe, the owner, was super friendly and gave us a quick tour and explained how the game library worked. My wife and I ended up staying for about 3 hours playing games out of the library. Also picked up two games from the retail section to add to our collection. Well definitely be back.
Went in for the first time to check out the new space and pick up some games for some early Christmas shopping. Staff is super friendly and helped point me in the right direction for what gifts to get. Will 100% be back! Highly recommend
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, selection is expansive, and prices realistic. A single member has a year price of $30 and a double member price is $50. Dungeons and Dragons nights are Thursdays, as well as Learn a New Game night. Saturdays are tournaments for rotating games, and you can reserve for a party for $150 the first 3 hours, $40 each hour thereafter. No website yet, but theyre active on Facebook and Instagram.
The staff was very helpful and friendly, they had a great selection in their game library for more casual and seasoned board game players, and they even mentioned having classes to help people learn different games. Ill definitely be visiting again!
They have a welcoming environment, different fun tournaments like Settlers of Catan & Splendor, and theyll teach you how to play a myriad of other games too! I highly recommend G&G. 😁👍
My favorite FLGS! Come in, sit down and play game. The owner is a great guy who is always ready to explore a new game with someone, and the people are friendly. This store is not about a typical retail experience, its about the time you spend playing games with friends.

They have an extensive library, games to purchase, drinks (coffee, tea, pop, cold beverages) and snacks (BreadHive cookies are delicious).The knowledgeable staff can recommend titles, and help explain the rules and setup, which speeds up the learning A LOT :)If you’re looking to play with your group, or combine forces with others, this is your place.

Finally got around to checking out Gather & Game on Grant St last night. Such a great time! Joe (the owner) took the time to teach us how to play Settlers of Catan. People really should go support this place!

I came to visit Buffalo from Ohio and found this place by coincidece, I had a blast coming here. The person who taught us how to play was very friendly and knowledge. Also he recomend us a place to go to eat (the west side bazaar) and he wasnt wrong about how amazing this food court was!

The owners and staff do an incredible amount of work to drive community engagement, stay knowledgeable on a diverse offering of games, and creating an open, inviting and fun environment.Cannot stress enough how worth your time it is to stop by if youre in the market for something to play on the tabletop.

2022-03-13Every time I have gone to Gather and Game, I walk out much happier than when I walked in. I can count on one hand the number of stores Ive been to in my life that are this welcoming and full of heart. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable with great communication, especially when I have ordered online. If my schedule allowed it, Id go to as many of their weekly events as possible. I heartily recommend anyone interested in tabletop games, accessories, or events to check out Gather and Game.

2022-09-05A gem of a place! Crossed the border from Toronto and this store was on our list to visit for the day. A super wide variety packed into a charming and cozy space. Super friendly Joe was welcoming and helpful, he helped us find a new RPG that wasnt D&D (we chose The Warren). Looks like they have a loyal in-store play following with plenty of events. Check it out.

2022-03-25The owner, Joe is very friendly and approachable, and will go above and beyond to make sure everyone is having a good time in his store. It’s a local mom and pop shop that has strong ties to the city’s West Side and it’s obvious that Joe has a vested interest in revitalization of the community.I would however, like to see some degree of improvement to the in-store gaming amenities. Obviously tournaments and such need to have a cover to support prizes, but capping admission for casual play strikes me as a bit excessive and could potentially limit the experience to new gamers and alienate regulars.Again, it’s a wonderful place and the owner and staff are great, but I feel minor improvements could enhance the experience.Cheers and godspeed!

Whether you need a suggestion for a new game or want to order something he doesnt have in house, hes got you covered.If youre a hobby gamer, Joes got all the miniatures, painting supplies and TCG cards you need.I enjoy stopping in there regularly just to see whats new and I am so thankful to have discovered this gem of a store.

2022-07-27Gather and Game is such a boon for the community. There are always lively events being hosted, and otherwise it is always really convenient to just come in and try some different games. This is a great spot to bring friends out to for an easy get-together or to meet some new friendly people instead.

2022-04-11On 4/8/22 I had my first ever Dungeon and dragon game in person here and i have to say the dungeon master was awesome as well as the staff at the store and everyone else being very friendly and welcoming I cant wait for my next D&D game here.

2022-09-08Tons of books and games - case in point, they somehow have copies of 2020 Chrome books, which are hard to find.The people are great, they have obviously cultivated a culture and a community, and it’s wonderful. Definitely returning.
