As somebody who loves sushi and is very critical about it, this place is AMAZING. Probably the best price for sushi that you could get on the island, especially for the quality that you’re receiving. I don’t understand how other people even had bad experiences because I have never had a problem with this place. 10/10 definitely recommend
SCAM NEVER GO HERE IF I CAN GIVE IT A ZERO I WOULD!ordered food and after two hours of waiting workers said that they didn’t even put in the order after telling us it went out for delivery then try making a lie up saying they called which we never received. This place is full of liars and scammers. And management is so cold hearted and had no interest in the situation. Bad business and even more horrible management. If your thinking about delivering food do not. Food is not worth it and the place is filled with cocky workers.
We Don’t eat sushi anywhere else, at this point. The best on the island. Love their appetizers. Dragon ball and volcano salad are my personal favorites.
This is the best food by far and the service is excellent. The staff is very attentive to their customers. I will not get sushi from any other place as there us no comparison to the quality of their food.
I received my food and found a hair in it. When I called the restaurant they stated to me that I should have taken a picture of the hair and they would of come back to pick up the food. That is disgusting that they think I would of kept the food instead of throwing it out.
Genki is a Nice local sushi place. Looks good iside and tastes delish. Kitchen entries are nice as well. Sushi nicely presented and a bit of decorations. Custom rolls can be ordered to your taste. Pleasant and attentive service. Delivery available. Parking is easily available within the shopping center.
Dont get the good reviews. They are def not a good sushi place. Nothing awful. But not good. They refried their gyoza. Who does that? It was just oil. Its supposed to be pan fried. The kani salad was so heavy on the mayo, I enjoyed the lettuce most of all cause I couldnt taste the kani or the cucumber. It was awful and I usually love mayo. So I mean nothing was spoiled or horrible but if you want tasty carefully prepared food I dont think this is it

Good food TERRIBLE service. Actually had the delivery driver CURSE at me because I thought I had more paper cash on me so I gave him more change than I wouldve preferred. Ive worked as a delivery driver myself over the years and I NEVER would curse in someones face for giving me a couple of dollars in change. Then when I called them back to tell them their driver just cursed in my face, they hung up on me. The island is FULL of sushi places, go somewhere else, trust me.

Always mess up order... And now they are charging for the cups of soy sause and usually when you order sushi they come as six piece rolls .. 45.00 order they are now only 5 piece rolls disgusting... It tastes worse than supermarket sushi!!!
I always order from this place and they always have great delivery and before quarantine me and my family always went there and since we wills always go there all the staff became to knowing our orders and who we are, we love this place everyone is so nice and there is great service and the food is always delicious!!!

I have to say, it wasnt one of my favorite sushi experiences. Pretty typical decor and food. One thing I was disappointed in is that for lunch special you get soup or salad, not both. I wouldnt come again.

I’ve been to this place a couple of time and the food is good. But this LAST TIME I went there one of the rolls had no sushi in it so I asked to please make another one, and they did. BUT when I got the bill I was over charged for the other items????? I’m guessing to make up for the roll they had to make again. When I asked why I was over charged they game me an excuse that the prices in the menu are old and I was changed for the prices in the new menu. THATS FUNNY that the menus they give out have lower prices and they charge you more. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR BILL THEY ARE CROOKS .

Food and Service was good, but upon leaving everyone was given a xmas gift , a bottle of wine. Me and my daughter were the only ones who did not. Done in bad taste. I did spend a decent amount of money and left a tip above 20%. We all know sushi is expensive.

I love it!! We live in Arrochar and sometimes arrive by car to get the best sushi on Staten Island! Food is very fresh, staff is very nice and helpful. My favorite is black perl roll with lobster tile, salmon and tuna. Its a beautiful place to take a rest and meet friends!

They make and sell the freshest Roast beef. I look forward to it every time my family picks up stuff to make heros. The people working behind the counter, including the owner are the sweetest.

I live in the neighborhood and have been going here for at least 5 years. The food is consistently very good, but the service these days is lacking from where it used to be. On my last trip with a friend waited about 10 minutes until someone finally took our order. Typically Im takeout and the wait is average.Atmosphere is average and pricing is reasonable. Overall Im a regular and remain a loyal customer. Basically, you cant go wrong and its worth a try.
The portions are very small compared to other places. Waitress needs to learn to say excuse me, as she pushes past between the seats, while a customer is seated.

Last night we went there for our first night my family of 6. We actually live in NJ and are over 30 minutes away. But that it not a problem and is way worth the drive. This place was amazing we were instantly steated at 8pm on a saturday. The waitress brought us over warm wet towels which was very nice and pleasant. We ordered over 9 rolls which were all very fresh and way better than any sushi we eat in NJ. I ordered chicken katsu which was a very big portion and tasted amazing. was perfectly cooked. Honestly great place over all and would definitely go back again. The only small objection was that there was not fountain soda therefore no refills. Still 10/10

I have been taking my family to genki sushi for at least 10 years now and every time they never fail to impress. We always get the Salmon trrakyi with a bowl of white rice and some sushi. I don’t know what it is but there white rice is incredible, especially when paired with the terakyi sauce. Also they recently remodeled so the atmosphere is even better then is used to be.

We moved to Jersey over 5 years ago but this is still our favorite place to go for sushi. This place is always consistently good. For appetizers our favorites are the dragon balls and the sushi pizza. The genki salad is also great. The staten island roll is amazing. The Arden roll is also very good but it is a little heavy as it is deep fried. The lychee martinis are also fantastic and cheap. They usually have very good special rolls and appetizers as well. We used to live around the block and went there once or twice a week and I used to order it at work as well. Living in Freehold we dont get there as much as we would like but its still taking the drive every once in a while.

Sushi soy sauce is extremely salty. The rolls are so tightly packed they stick to each other. I called to let them know and the individual who answered the call was rude didnt let me finish.
The food is delicious, the work of the chefs is top notch, the work of the waitress is disgusting. For this, only 4 stars.

2022-02-22Very good sushi restaurant in a random strip mall anchored by a Key Food(formerly King Cullen). Salmon skin rolls, Godzilla rolls with eel, avocado, shrimp was excellent. Spicy tuna roll was a only thing a little disappointing. Was mushy, didnt feel fresh. Not terrible, but the worst things we had. Teriyaki beef bento box was nice also, as were the Octopus balls appetizer. Very good sized portions and quite reasonable prices.
