I can’t praise the employees at Gennaro enough. Especially Irene and Tommy, but everyone is so helpful. I had the pleasure to help my daughter design a wedding band using her grandmother’s jewelry, it will be as if she is there at the wedding. They also helped me with my own mothers wedding band so I can now wear it.Professional and kind every step of the way
I lost my house to a fire a few months ago and I was lucky enough to find my engagement ring in the rubble. It was burnt and I thought it was beyond repair. A friend recommended us Gennaro Jewelers and they not only save all my stones, they made the most unbelievably beautiful ring. They were so professional but mostly human and warm. They made me feel very special and were genuinely excited for us. Special thanks to Kathy and Raquel. They went the extra mile to turn a heartbreaking and traumatic experience into a fairytale.
We were looking to customize my fiancees engagement ring by adding a new diamond. We went to another jeweler and they told us there was nothing that could be done to change the ring. We then went by Gennaro for a second opinion. The assistant manager Adriana walked us step by step through the process of what she envisioned for my fiancees ring. We did not expect to have such a wonderful experience - I learned a whole lot about the different qualities of diamonds! We went through with the customization process and her ring is absolutely gorgeous. They gave us a new appraisal, and its value was increased beyond what we paid for it! This is our new jeweler and we wont go anywhere else. I highly recommend going to the experts at Gennaro if you need help with your jewelry.
I was thrilled with the service I received when needing an estate appraisal. Gary Hudes and his staff explained everything that was going to happen, in order to help me be comfortable and understand what was being done and why. They also made good on their promise to never let any of the jewelry out of my sight. I left the store very happy and impressed!

I spent three hours at Gennaros today as they rebuilt my diamond wedding bank. Their motto is the ring never leaves your sight, so I sat and watched them skillfully rebuild my ring. I started with Angela, sho was warm and attentive and certainly very knowledgeable. Then, she gave my ring to Bin, the diamond master jeweler. I sat right by him and watched him carefully rebuild my ring. So many different people in the store were attentive to me during my three hours. Gary Hudes, the owner is wonderful to deal with. The whole experience was great. I have been to Gennaros many times and each time is a meaningful experience.
My wife and I purchased our engagement and wedding rings from the store and I considered the store our preference for jewelry related activities. I had 10 watches I wanted to remove the batteries as I was advised keeping a dead battery in the watches can cause leakage and damage to the watches. I called before I went to the store and I was told it should not be a problem. Once I got to the store I showed my watches and the attendant went to the back of the store where the offices are. He came back and told me management was not interested in removing the batteries as it would be a risk for them and advise the watches should have a battery in in it and not left with no battery. He was not making any sense to me. I left the store angry and embarrassed. I then called Busy Bee Jewelers and explained my situation. They told me to come in to the store anytime. I went there and told them my situation and he agreed that if not used the battery should be removed. They were friendly and understanding. I decided to put batteries in 5 of the watches and the other 5 with no battery. It took an hour and I was very happy with the results. This is the last time I will ever go back to Gennaro and will let my friends know how rude and unhelpful they were.
I was fortunate enough to have the pleasure of picking out an incredible 25th wedding anniversary band at Gennaro Jewelers. I was met with the upmost professionalism by Raquel. She spent the time with me and helped me chose the perfect ring for myself. I would highly recommend Gennaro Jewelers and look forward to dealing with them again in the future.
Had the best experience here from beginning to end. I worked with Laura who was super patient with me allowing me to try on items and even told me about customer wish lists so that significant others can come in and request list to see what they picked out. Words cannot describe how amazing this place is. They are so extremely kind and professional. I went in with my mother to get her two rings checked out and to get a price. They clean the jewelry for you, and the coolest part is they use a specific color paper clip so you know it’s yours. EVERYTHING that is done in this store is done in front of you. The jewelry NEVER leaves your sight and they honor that. Then they put your item under a camera and put it onto a TV screen. Someone will help and show you any issues with your item and show you how to know it’s yours just In case any place tries to pull any funny business. The person who helped us was Beverly. She was extremely informative, and had a wonderful personality. We asked a bunch of questions and she did not hesitate to answer them all. She did not get annoyed or upset and she made sure we understood everything about our items. THEN Beverly brought Gary out. Gary is the most knowledgeable man you can speak to. He is no joke. He will tell you stuff as it is, no sugar coating anything and he will make sure that you understand everything. We probably talked with him for 30 min and it was so nice of him to take the time out of his day to talk to us on how to protect our rings, how he believes we can sell them safely, what price is right, what we should look out for, and he also gave us history of Gennaro jewelry! This guy is literally amazing. If you need any help definitely talk to Gary or Beverly. We left the store so extremely satisfied and i totally recommend that you check them out whether you’re buying, pricing, or even just looking. This place is amazing and the staff is absolutely fantastic. 11/10
I love Gennaro!! I honestly was only going to look because I needed to reset my engagement ring 31 years later! Time flies!! Beverly was our sales lady. She was so lovely and knowledgeable and not pushy or overbearing!! She listened and found a beautiful setting for my diamond and a matching wedding band. I loved the selection , there was plenty to choose from. I walked out that day with two beautiful rings. My diamond was always in view. All the staff were so nice and helpful. Our experience with Gennaro Jewelers was wonderful! Angela, Diana and Kathryn were knowledgeable, insightful sales representatives who found a setting very similar to my original engagement ring. We were shown magnified views of our diamonds and settings on a large monitor and we were given a detailed description of the stone and setting. The craftsmen, Frankie and Ravi, are true artisans. Incredible!! All their intense, skilled work is highly impressive. And, our diamonds never left our sight.
Had the most amazing experience today at Gennaro....consummate professionals who share their expertise and time with genuine caring and respect. I dropped in last week to have my engagement ring setting checked to make sure stones were not loose.... the stones were fine but there were several cracks in the platinum! I would never have known! Today I had the repairs done and from the moment I walked in, I was treated like “gold”. Each step was fully explained, my ring was ALWAYS in my view, and everyone on the team was there to assist. Beverly walked me through the process and could not have been kinder, it is very clear that all who work at Gennaro Jewelers love what they do, are excellent at what they do and love their customers. After purchasing jewelry from Gennaro’s many times over the years, of course that’s where I went to have a very sentimental and special ring re-sized. Irene and Lisa were exceptional! Since the first day I walked into Gennaro Jewelers I was quite impressed at the kindness, patience and professionalism I experienced. I went in with my original engagement ring which is 32 years old --- the band split away from the diamond band and the prongs were very worn. They explained to me my choices and gave me a recommendation. It was a hard decision for me because I loved my original ring. With extreme patience and kind and caring help, Raquel walked me through every step of resetting my diamond in a new band and utilizing the diamonds in my band. I was quite reluctant and nervous, but together we figured it out. I went today to have my diamond set.... I was there the entire time and they do not rush the work... my diamond never left my sight. Today along with Raquel, I had an amazing, very talented and professional team caring for my ring. I would like to give a shout out to all of them ---- Raquel, Frankie, Tom, Josephine and Todd. I found Gennaro when the diamond on my engagement ring came loose- they fixed it for me within 10 mins! We ended up buying our wedding bands here which came out beautifully. Diana was so helpful through everything. We will definitely be continuing to use Gennaros in the future!
Words cant describe the service, assistance and delivery of the engagement ring Gennaro provided for me. They are truly amazing. I want to say a special thank you to Angela who helped me from start to finish in finding and purchasing the engagement ring. Angela helped explain to me everything I needed to know in order to find the right ring. A beautiful thing at Gennaro is that they will never force you or rush you to buy something. It is all about the customers comfortability and personal preference. I just wish I had a before pic, but my brothers house burned down this past Saturday. His and his wifes wedding rings were found (unbelievably), but burnt to a crisp. I took them to Gennaros to see if there was anything to be done. Unfortunately for my brother, his ring didnt do so well (titanium). But, they were able to clean it and he likes the blueish shade of purple it is now, so he is still going to wear it. (It does look kind of cool.)They spent 2 hours on my sister in laws rings. They replaced a diamond, tightened all the prongs, dipped it (once the char came off, it looked pink) and shined it up. They look as good as new. Only under a microscope could you tell there was any damage.When I went to pay for it - they wouldnt take any money. I literally started crying and hugged anyone in front of me. They dont know me. I go in there every couple of years for a gift. These are just GOOD people!! I started going there when they were on Oprah years ago, they are one of, if not THE, most honest jeweler in NY.So, if anybody is in the market for any type of jewelry, please consider Gennaro Jewelers, in Bellmore, with special consideration to Sean for being so kind and patient with me
Ordered a Saint Michael Police Medallion very close to Christmas ! Called to see if they could get it right out They are amazing , literally mailed it the day I ordered . They were so nice and helpful on the phone .The necklace is beautiful , very nice. Quality . Have other ones fro them and will use them again Im sure , we are a Police Family . Went to Gennaro Jewelers to have a new setting designed for an older engagement ring. From the minute we walked in we felt comfortable. They are completely professional and confidence inspiring. Sean was with us for the entire process and made us feel a valued customer. We couldnt be happier with them. The ring turned out exceeding expectations. You have a customer for life.
When me and my (now) fiancé were starting looking at rings we were at first very overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. We went into Gennaro’s Jewelers because they had a great reputation and they did not disappoint!!!! Sean one of the gemologist explained to us about the 4 Cs (something we knew nothing about) in a simple way we could easily understand that instantly made us feel more confident about picking out our ring. He was so genuine and kind during the entire process and wasn’t pushy at all, which is something we were worried about before we started looking. We could tell he really wanted us to find what was best for us in terms of look, quality and price range. He did a great job at guiding us in the right direction in a non-bias (yet educated) way but keeping what we said we wanted in mind. I’m a very indecisive person and Sean was extremelyyy patient with me while picking out my stone and setting, which I really appreciated. We are both SO beyond happy with the ring and I couldn’t recommend them more🥰
We recent ly visited Gennaro after seeing a commercial on local News12. We walked in and we really felt like we were long time customers and like family. What a fantastic experience. A salesperson came right over her name was Angela and immediately we felt as I mentioned that we were long time customers. I am a first responder and they cleaned my rings (in front of me) gave me a great first responder pin. She had the owner come over (Gary) and we talked for a few minutes. This will be our go to place for Jewelry. They had a beautiful selection of everything and you can add things to your wish list that way if anyone wants to buy you something they already have an idea of what you want. Fantastic experience

I am over the moon with the service at Gennaro’s. They are professionals in every sense of the word. Raquel was soooo helpful and knowledgeable and courteous . They checked my diamonds in my rings, reinforced the stones in their settings and cleaned and polished them to perfection! All right in front of me the entire time. I was lucky enough to work with Sean at Gennaro Jewelers and it was easy as pie.I had a custom project that another jewelry store failed to complete, let alone provide any sort of acceptable customer service during the process.I walked into Gennaro Jewelers and Sean ACTUALLY listened to me, provided great insight, and EVEN SAVED ME MONEY.I never had to worry about getting a call back from Sean, or the quality of the work.Even the other staff I interacted with were friendly, knowledge and just enjoyable to be around.I WILL ABSOLUTELY be coming back to work with Sean on the bigger project soon.
What a pleasure it was going to Gennaro Jewelers for my wifes new engagement ring setting. My wife lost the diamond on her wedding ring. We bought another diamond and took it to Gennaro to set it on the ring. Laura was very professional, attentionate, knowledgeable, and helpful. She explained all the steps and answered all our questions. The diamond never left our sight. I enjoyed watching the jewelers in action, carefully maneuvering these tiny drill bits and instruments. Five years ago, when I wanted to purpose to my wife, I went in search of rings, two simple hammered white gold wedding bands. I was unpleasantly surprised to be confronted by prejudice. After realizing that I was part of a same-sex couple, two jewelers said they couldnt help me. In the end, I had to order the bands online.Yesterday, my wife decided to buy me a beautiful diamond wedding band for our fifth wedding anniversary. We went to Gennaro Jewelers. Because of my experience in other places, I was nervous about going in and trying on rings with my wife. Laura assisted us and told me that it was perfectly okay to take my time. I tried on so many rings and chose the perfect wedding band with five oval cut diamonds.As we waited for Laura to prepare my ring, the rest of the staff praised our choice and were so kind to us. The atmosphere helped us relax and enjoy the moment. I had a great experience at Gennaro today as always! When I walked through the door, I was greeted by the smiley employee Sean, which always starts off the experience right! The other employees continue to greet me even if they are busy with their own clients- which is a really nice touch to this small town business. I am also always truly impressed that my diamond ring never leaves my site while it gets cleaned. Due to some deep scratches on the band, the owner of the store even got his hands dirty in polishing up my ring. I am three days from my wedding and am so relieved that my ring is shiny and new after taking it to Gennaro! Will always go back for further cleanings and other jewelry purchases :) I highly recommend them to others
I found my father-in-laws 1940s gold watch stuffed in a bag in the bottom of a shoe box. I took it to Gennaro Jewelers for restoration. Wow! The watch got a complete overhaul and new crystal. It is beautiful. The staff is courteous and efficient, and I could not be happier with the outcome. I highly recommend this jeweler.
Went to Gennaro Jewelers today and I couldn’t be happier. I appreciated their honesty about which of my items could and couldn’t be repaired - I’d rather know the truth than have them charge me for something that isn’t going to turn out right. Laura was a huge help, stayed with us through the whole process, explained everything in detail, and went out of her way to make us happy and comfortable. As far as I’m concerned, Gennaro is now the only jeweler on the island.
I went to Gennaro Jewelers for my engagement ring. Theresa helped me pick out my setting. She was extremely patient and knowledgeable. I went back a week later to have the diamond set and pick up my ring. Mark was there to assist me that time. He was also very patient and knowledgeable. He explained each and every step of the process to me. I LOVE that your diamond NEVER leaves your sight at Gennaro Jewelers! They walk around holding their hand up high so that you can always see your diamond. They also have a glass window so you can watch as they set, resize, appraise and/or repair your jewelry. Gennaro Jewelers is the ONLY place I will go, I would highly recommend them!
My husband and I purchased my Tacori engagement ring from another jewelry store but will not go back there as they are snooty and way overpriced. I LOVE Gennaro Jewelers. Everyone is so nice and knowledgeable. Your diamond rings never leave your sight. From soup to nuts they are hands down the only jeweler I trust the cleaning of my diamonds to. Nichelle and Mark are wonderful, providing top notch service from the time you enter the store until you leave. I will only go to Gennaro Jewelers for all of my future purchases. My husband bought me a beautiful sapphire and diamond ring last year (similar to Princess Dianas ring - now Kate Middletons). They are so wonderful in the way they treat you and the way they clean and polish your rings. Ive recommended Gennaro Jewelers to everyone I know. Do not hesitate to go there. My wife of 35 years has been mentioning she would like her original engagement ring reset for quite some time now. We went out to Gennaros for her birthday and Raquel did an incredible job assisting us! Not only did she give us a great selection to choose from, but she made the selection process fun. We went to Gennaro to have my wifes engagement ring reset, after 21 years of marriage. We cannot say enough about Diana! She really listened to what my wife wanted, and found the most perfect setting for our stone. She and the team at Gennaro also re-sized a somewhat tricky wedding band and made it look better than new. The staff there is amazing, the diamond was never out of our sight, the craftsmanship is absolutely perfect, and the care they take with customers is unbeatable. They also managed to do all of this in just 4 days, ensuring that we had the rings for Christmas. We cant say enough about our experience there. We are already planning to go back!
Went in to get the prongs of my engagement ring tightened. Id heard about this place not letting your jewelry out of your sight and they are not kidding. The moment they take your jewelry and have to move to another area of the store, the jewelry is held at arms length over their head while you follow along.Thomas assisted us in the process. And while he appeared to be relatively new, he was very personable and knowledgeable. He steam cleaned our ring and reviewed it under a high powered camera lens that showed it on the large public viewing monitor to review the characteristics of our diamonds.They assessed the repair that needed to be done and determined we needed to come back another day. But know: if it can be done right away, they will do it on the spot.Note: this is not a sleepy jewelry store. They were really busy. If you want to mosie around/shop and see what they have on display, weekends arent the day to do so.There were about six salespersons each helping their own customers. Most were single customers; others were couples, but all were actively being helped. It appears that most were there for repairs/cleaning, picking up or just knew what they were looking for. All joking aside, they were like bees buzzing around a hive. All zig zagging around each other, Jewelry in hand taking to the next station.We were there for about 30 minutes from beginning to end. And when we left, there was a line outside waiting to get in.For those that are wondering: Masks are optional if you are vaccinated, and requires you to wear one if you are not. But everyone that was working was masked.Also, they have two large displays of First Responders jewelry, if your in need of that.Lastly, they had The Wizard of Oz on loop, muted, playing on the other monitors. Not sure why that was about but it was kinda cute.

First experience at Gennaro Jewelers and it was a great one. My wife has been wanting to have her engagement ring and wedding band resized so we decided to visit after a local jeweler to us in Bethpage was closed. We were not at all familiar with Gennaro - aside from seeing it when we visited a local restaurant for breakfast a couple of months ago.Angela welcomed us and introduced us to Gennaro. Most do not stumble upon the store as we had. They get customers based upon positive reviews their existing customers share with others. Angela took care to explain their services and what they could do in the shop on Sunday - on the same day we visited. We would spend a good 75 minutes in the store. During that time, the rings were always in view. In fact, they bend over backwards when the rings are moved from one station to another in the store. Initially, Angela cleaned the rings. She then put the engagement ring under a lens so that it could be magnified before any work was to begin. We were given a clear estimate up front regarding the cost. We agreed to have the rings resized.The rings were brought to a series of technicians. The first used a couple of tools to ensure that all stones were secured. Angela then brought us to another station where the rings were worked upon. My wifes rings were sized to her liking and satisfaction. There were two individuals who assisted with the resizing process and there is too much to explain. In the end, my wife got back her rings as if they were brand new. They were stunning and they looked perfect. It was such a good experience that I will definitely visit them for any future jewelry needs. Customer service was five stars. Again, it is very important that the rings, especially the engagement ring, never leave your view. They made sure of that throughout our visit. We were so glad to have chosen Gennaro for this work.

An amazing experience! I went to Gennaro after losing faith in our previous jeweler in achieving what i needed. From the moment I walked into the shop, I felt well taken care of and understood. I went to Gennaros for the first time about a month ago. I was so impressed with how pleasant everyone was! I wanted to have a diamond reset and was not sure what type of setting to put it into. I just came back from my first time at Gennaro Jewelers. I am recently engaged and was given my grandmother’s heirloom ring. I loved it and didn’t want to change it too much, but I knew that it needed a re-sizing, a deep cleaning, and probably some minor adjustments. I’ll be honest, I was nervous walking into a reputable jeweler with a less expensive and therefore less “important” ring. I figured that I would deal with slight condescension and that they would be more interested in selling their own rings (which btw are GORGEOUS all around) than dealing with my little antique. I was so wrong. They treated me and my grandmother’s ring like we were the most important customer! I loved watching them work on the ring. Being able to see the process was so interesting and cool! Gary kept me educated about each step as we went along. When I saw the finished product (because they re-sized it, re-plated it, cut back some heavy-handed prongs to reveal the stone better, cleaned it, and appraised it ALL IN A LITTLE OVER ONE HOUR WHILE I WATCHED) I actually said “holy s***!” I couldn’t believe it. No big changes were made, but it looks like a completely different ring now! I was given a generous discount for being a first-time customer, and I left there pretty much flabbergasted at what had just happened. I recommend Gennaro as highly as is possible.
I had the most pleasant experience at Gennaro’s. I had the pleasure of meeting with Gary. He was patient, kind, and genuine. I had brought in some old jewelry for him to look at. I have very little knowledge about diamonds and jewelry in general so I didn’t know what to expect. Gary didn’t talk to me to just “try and make a sale”. He had a true discussion with me and made sure I was comfortable and understood all the information he had given me. All of the staff I spoke to were knowledgeable and professional. What a wonderful experience I had there today. The very talented Paul used his state of the art machinery to repair my antique diamond ring, which is so old and delicate, that he spoke with me every step of the way to ease any concerns I had. Josephine was engaging and showed me how she made my antique ring look brand new—I don’t think it looked like that when I purchased it 26 years ago from an estate jeweler. Nichelle greeted me when I entered the store. She and Adriana were helpful, polite and knowledgeable. My ring never left my sight and Nichelle escorted me from start to finish. They also cleaned my platinum ring as a courtesy. And, the repair of my antique ring was very reasonable priced. I highly recommend this business.
Had to go there twice. Initially i went to get my ring re sized but my consultantant and the ring setter ended up finding that my ring was never properly set. You ALWAYS have your ring in sight and they show you on the screen in detail of your ring. My consultantant was DIANA and she was amazing!!!! We watched while the jeweler adjusted my wifes ring in front of her, My wife went downstairs to watch the polisher. Her ring was always in sight.After cleaning, spraying & drying, the ring looked brand new!The my wife looked at wedding bands. Once again, Catherine picked out the perfect wedding band for my wife. Lisa was also quite helpful. After sizing, spraying cleaning & polishing, the ring was perfect! My visit on Thursday was such a delight! I needed to have my engagement ring fixed-one of the 5 prongs was broke. When I arrived a gentleman named Mark helped me. Besides being professional, he was genuinely concerned with my issue. He took his time to explain my options and his recommendation. I was originally recommended to go to Gennaros from very close family friends. Living in Manhattan I didn’t know a trustworthy place to go with family jewelers that needed work. So at their suggestion I hopped on the train to Bellmore! After that first trip, and another piece of jewelry to work on I went back! My visit to Gennaro jewelers last week was just as successful as my first. They have done a wonderful job with two pieces of family jewelry. The service is fantastic. My mother passed away 4 months ago. My sisters and I took one piece of her jewelry and Mark, designed three sister rings for us using the stones. They are amazing. We went in basically with little suggestions as to what we wanted other than rings and with Marks help and vision it turned into three amazing one of a kind rings designed and implemented by him. This place is Amazing! I never write or rate places but this place was so good I felt the need. I went for 2 reasons, 1 get an appraisal on a diamond and 2 get an engagement ring. They are extremely professional in handling your diamonds and always make sure it’s in your sight. And unlike other places I went to look for an engagement ring this place was honest and helpful. I got the ring I wanted not just a ring they had. They walked me through selecting a diamond and a setting and helped me budget my ring. They did not force me to buy there, they even told me to look at other places first, they cared about what I wanted. This kind of service can not be beat. Adriana and Diana helped me with a custom engagement ring. After going to a local jeweler, and having my ring altered terribly I had no other choice but to get a new setting. I was very low on patience and wanted to just get a another setting. But Diana and Adriana steered me in the right direction to get duplicate my ring and add a halo. They were wonderful and knew deep down I wanted to keep my unique ideas on the band. They will tell you exactly what they will do, and what will look correct. Nothing is sugarcoated. I have been married for 31 years and never really had my engagement ring checked by a jeweler. I recently lost a small diamond that was part of my ring. I Went to Gennaros after hearing about it being advertised locally and they couldnt have been more pleasant and helpful! They thoroughly examined both my rings and showed me the wear that had occurred over the last 31 years. They suggested the necessary work to insure I didnt loose anymore diamonds and gave me a quote. I agreed and they immediately started the work right then! True to their motto while you wait and watch my ring never left my site. Laura was amazing and incredibly helpful. My fiancé was 95% NOT into going to the Jeweler on a Saturday morning but Laura was able to grasp his interests and help him look for a wedding band while I was with my diamond THE ENTIRE TIME. Did I mention that I was able to stay with my diamond throughout the entire re-setting process? It was great. I would recommend Gennaro’s for all of your jewelry needs. Five star reviews dont come easy, they are earned! This wonderful business in Bellmore Village has been here a long time and there is a reason for it. Exceptional Customer Service. Experienced sales people and expert jewelers and diamond setters that are highly skilled professionals. The store is busy all the time, and still it seems as if you are the only person your salesperson is working with. Jumping back and forth does not happen here. I say this because we had jewelry piece made from our Garnets and diamonds and with a chain and a great deal of input from Pearl, our salesperson we got an amazing piece of Jewelry. If you are in need of a piece of jewelry, a watch repair, they fixed one for us too, or looking to buy a great gift, thus is the place to go.I did not give them a 5 star review, they EARNED it. Patronize this business, You will not be sorry.
Where do I even begin?! First off the reason why I decided to call up Gennaro was because they do repairs right in front of you. I didnt want my engagement ring out of my sight. Let me tell you, we definitely went to the right place. Ive never seen such incredible care from a business like how they did toward my ring. They color coordinated the loop so I know where it is at all times. They made sure my eyes were always on it, including walking around the showcase while holding up in the air so I can always see it. Made sure to take a 30x magnifying picture of it that was shown on 4 different large TVs in the showroom and find a natural mark that no other diamond has, and then take another after they are done to prove to me the diamond is the same. Sat directly in front of the jeweler while he worked on it. Took me down stairs (which looked like a science lab) and made sure I was there watching every step they take to clean up the ring with all the different solutions they have. They also had a women there telling me exactly what he was dipping it in and what it does to the ring. All in all, they were amazing. Never walked into a small jewelry store that busy in my life! They were all so nice! Took great care of me and the ring. I was so happy I went there! I wouldve given them 6 stars if I could! Will absolutely be back!

Best jewelry store on Long Island. Excellent staff, great technicians, beautiful selection, everything done while you watch; a very honest place. I have had three watches repaired here, one of which was my fathers 1930s Bulova, which was formerly his fathers, and was decrepit but beautiful; they restored it wonderfully. It had sat lifeless in a drawer for 20 years, but thanks to Gennaro, the last 20 years it has worked perfectly and has been a nice remembrance of my father. Generations of families have purchased jewelry here and it is easy to see why. They are the best.
I came in to have a stone replaced on my mothers wedding ring. The ring is 95 years old and has an inscription on the inside of the band. Angela helped me pick out a stone and explained the process. I was nervous because of the age of the ring and concerned about damage to the inscription when the ring was cleaned and polished. Angela made sure to note not to touch the inscription. The final product is beautiful. I am very satisfied.
Wonderful experience! I went to Gennaro Jewelers for three different reasons today. 1) sell some of my jewelry that I no longer wear; 2) watch batteries; 3) repairs of two chains and a cocktail ring. The assistance I received from MARK and RAQUEL was beyond my expectations. Not only was I overwhelmed with the extremely generous check received for my used jewelry but my watch batteries were installed while I waited as well as my chains fixed and my ring repaired while I waited. Both MARK and RAQUEL kept me apprised of the status of my repairs and my jewelry sale continuously. I had their undivided attention the entire time I was there and was completely satisfied with my visit. I visited on April 25. I was looking for help selling some jewelry. The manager Kathy quickly came to my aid and explained that the gemologist was not in that day and he would need to weigh in - but she took much time carefully explaining many important details to me. She suggested I return the following day which I did - at which point Mara and Sean stepped in - with grace, good humor and professionalism as it became clear - the quality of what I had was lacking. They never made me feel silly or embarrassed, rather came up with a variety of solutions and I left feeling positive and hopeful. I was charged nothing for their time or opinions. This treatment harkens back to a time long before internet shopping when sales people knew their craft, and took care of their customers - creating a bond that lasted generations. Gennaro Jewelers is worth the trip. Next time you need to make an important purchase, think quality - think Gennaro. You will not be disappointed.
My entire family have been going to Genaros for over 30 years. We know the owner very well. This jewelry store is the very best. After loosing 40 lbs I needed to have my rings resized. The first jeweler I thought to go to was Generos. When I walked in there was a little wait which made me feel confident that I picked the right place. I was waited on fairly quickly by Cindy. She was very nice and made me feel very confident that my rings would be sized properly. She asked me if I was planning on loosing any more weight and I said yes but I still wanted to get the rings sized because I felt naked with out them. I was so pleased when she told me that my wedding band might not have to be cut that they might only have to shrink it. And of course when ever Genoros does work on your Jewelry you wait and watch. Cindy gave me a fair price and guided me in the right direction. I will always go here for all my jewelry needs and ask for Cindy!

Came in today to get my diamond ring setting refurbished. Mark was great. He supervised every stage of the process as all the work was done right in front of my eyes. They couldnt have been nicer. Went here to get a ring resized after having a bad experience at another jeweler, and it was definitely worth it. The price was about double what I paid at my first stop, but the quality of work and customer service made it a no-brainer. They also offer free cleaning and checks to make sure the stones in your jewelry are secure. The only reason I would not rate them 5 stars is because of the price, and also because I was pressured to get my ring sized smaller than I wanted (it was really cold that day). Fortunately, after expressing my concerns they said they would readjust it for free in the next 3-5 weeks.

Although the store was extremely busy, Theresa, the sales associate knowing that I live in Suffolk County and that It would be an inconvenient to return at a later date to pick up the items, immediately had my medal and chain repaired while I waited.This is not the first time that professional staff at Gennaro Jewelers has provided quality service at a really fair price. My fiancé and I came here to get a vintage engagement ring cleaned, resized, and appraised. They did it under an hour, despite many other customers. Diana was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She never let the ring leave our sight. When the ring cracked after being dramatically resized, Ravi was able to mend it flawlessly. The service was incredible and the price was reasonable.
A little background before I get into how incredible Gennaro is...I had asked my Fiancé to propose without a ring so that I could design my own with him once we were engaged––does that say enough about how picky & particular I am?!My family has been going to Gennaro for a long time so after we got engaged we made an appointment to meet with Adriana. I came prepared with a bunch of Pinterest ring photos and a long list of I think I want this, but I might like this....It needs to be sparkly and unique. From then on it was a totally perfect experience.Fast forward through Adriana patiently finding me the dream diamond and very patiently helping me design, change my mind, and update the design of my setting...I now have my perfect engagement ring.Adriana and really then entire Gennaro staff were wonderful and made this whole experience very personal and special. Its nearly impossible to transform someone elses vision into an exact reality and thats exactly what they did.I cant say enough, so Ill just say that if you want your dream engagement ring, necklace, etc. go to Gennaro.

The women who work here are stuck in highschool. News flash, you DONT have to be dress nicely to have money. They looked me up and down meanwhile they are working a 9-5 and I’m coming in on a beautiful early afternoon to inquire about getting some jewelry fixed. If I was poor, don’t you think I’d be working? Never judge a book by its cover because the real rich never show off.

This is a great friendly jewelers. Went here for the very first time to have some jewelry repaired. The staff are warm friendly and they even have a screen that you can see the areas that need repair. They even can do custom made pieces. In this era of big box stores, it is still good to find a friendly knowledgeable jewelers that are attentive to your needs and were the prices are right to fit your budget.
Why would a little neighborhood jewelry store, been around for decades, be packed with customers early on a Tuesday morning? From the moment you walk in the door you feel the difference. From the somewhat imposing gentleman who greets you at the door, to the friendly, knowledgeable staff, (many thanks to Beverley for help and wisdom!) to the stunning and enormous selection of jewelry in the cabinets, its easy to see why people probably come from far and near for their jewelry needs. Your jewelry never does leave your sight, just as they advertise, and somehow it feels like each person who handles your item gives it a bit of respect and honor. Stepping into Gennaros is an experience unto itself. I think Ive found my go-to store for precious gems!
I had my mothers engagement ring, my engagement ring, my wedding ring and a pinky ring. They all needed an overhaul. My pinky ring needed to be completely remade. Diana called when it was ready. She was excited to show me the ring. It is gorgeous. She’s gorgeous! I’m so happy! All the work was done beautifully. Everyone in the shop is professional and friendly. I would recommend them anytime.

I would highly recommend Gennaro Jewelers. Their jewelry selection is beautiful, but even as important, the customer service is excellent. What a great jewelery store! I stopped in during the Bellmore Street Fair last month to take advantage of their free jewelry cleaning promo. Before they cleaned my engagement ring they put in under a microscope attached to a TV monitor which I could see. 2 of the 4 prongs holding my diamond in place were loose. The jeweler was able to tighten them while I watched, my ring never left my sight. The sales girl said I was very lucky that I had not lost my diamond. My best friend and I were over at Morning Rose having an amazing brunch when I noticed her ring was missing stones, Strangley I feel like I was more concerned than she was (which never EVER Happens). She said we’re across the street from the amazing Gennaro Jewelers, no big deal. We made our way over to The store where we were greated by several smiling faces. We eventually were helped by Michelle. She was an absolute joy from start to finish. She put the ring up on a theater screen and showed us the diamond “ beauty marks” and all the cracks caused from beating her husband (hehe jk). I think what amazed me the most was instead of just saying get a new ring (Which she did anyways hehe) this young lady gave a bazillion choices. I’ve never seen this, nice to know there’s a place willing to preserve the memories for old lady who don’t want to let go. She was so knowledgeable ! The ring never left our site. Michelle walked us through everything that was going to happen right from the very start, but still took the time to explain things as they were happening. An absolute delight she was! I wasn’t invited to the vip club they have down stairs but it’s okay, I’m going to start beating my husband so I can get a new ring to. (Hehe)P.S - My best friend friend just got the brand spankin new iPhone but can’t figure out how To use the damn thing (hehe) so I took it upon myself to make a review. This place ROCKS !

I can’t say enough great things about Mark at Gennaro. Recently my father passed away and my brother and I were splitting the gold from a bracelet he had for over 30 years. This bracelet meant so much to us and I was nervous that bringing it somewhere and being a young girl, someone was going to scam me out of a lot of gold. Mark walked me through the whole process, telling me how much they were weighing out to be melted for the ring I wanted and how much would be left for my brother. I had been to Gennaro Jewelers many years ago and I went back recently to have wedding rings resized. They did an excellent job and explained every detail of the service while I waited. The staff is attentive, professional and courteous and they work with one customer at a time. I am also happy that they are taking pandemic safety protocols seriously and I felt comfortable waiting in the store with other customers. They have an amazing selection of high quality jewelry. I highly recommend them.
Went in to have my watch fixed. The saleswoman and jeweler were extremely rude, and the jewelry selection is a snore....very disapointed. It is now 4 days later, my watch just broke again, after being told it couldnt break. I am no longer friends with the person who recommended this jeweler.
I order a Law enforcement ring in which they show me a picture of how the ring was going to come out I approved the design, when I received the ring I noticed that the word Sergeant underneath the shield was missing I sent the ring back for repair spoke to a Maureen, she responded that there is nothing that they can do after I paid in full. This must be the lousy customer service person I ever had to deal with. I will never order custom ring from that store again.Francisco Agostini
This is My 2nd time there. I really enjoy being there. The staff is friendly, very respectful to you regardless of how little or how much you spend. You’re treated like your the only person they’re interested in. They don’t try and rush you so they can make that next sale. Very professional. 2022-07-16This is by far one of the BEST jewelry stores. Every time I go here the staff is nothing but kind to me. I went yesterday to look for a piece for myself, something cute and affordable. Sean helped me, right away. He was so knowledgeable and really made me feel heard. He asked me my price range and when I threw out a number, he showed me what I could afford and what I would maybe like. I found such a beautiful necklace for such an economical price, way way below my price range!!! I also brought in my fiancés chain and cross pendant that were completely tarnished. He was so willing to help me and took him only about 5-10 minutes to clean. He cleaned it with no hesitation and it looks brand new. This is the second time they’ve done this for me too!! Thank you Sean for being so sweet and helpful to me. If you are ever there, ask for him!! Yet another great experience at Gennaro.

2022-08-03This place has been around for 99 years for a reason. My (now) fiancé came in together to get my engagement ring. We worked with Kathy, who went above and beyond and even though the store was incredibly busy both times we went in, she made us feel like the only people there. She assisted us with designing the custom engagement ring of my dreams. She was knowledgeable and helped us pick out the perfect center diamond and setting. Even though I knew I was getting engaged and what the ring would consist of, I was still surprised seeing it all put together when he finally did surprise me over breakfast. Thank you Kathy! 2022-02-19I am so sorry that I cant remember the name of the gentleman who helped me find the most perfect wedding band. I have a low set emerald solitaire, and it was hard to find anything that would fit... also to have in time for my wedding in two weeks (whoops). Not only did he find something beautiful, but it was in budget, fit perfectly around my ring and was in 3 days before the wedding. Can not recommend enough.

2022-07-02My fiancé and I went to Gennaro’s for my engagement ring! Katherine is literally the BEST ever! She sat with my fiancé and I to pick out the absolute best ring that I wanted! Even though I knew that I was getting engaged, my fiancé ended up surprising me with the sized engagement ring by proposing in our apartment with rose petals and candles leading my way to him waiting on one knee asking me to marry him! I was beyond paranoid to wear my ring because I was afraid I was going to lose my diamond. My family members said they only trust Gennaro’s.As soon as I walked into the store, I was in love with all their jewelry. The store is stunning.Sean was beyond helpful. He greeted us immediately and was beyond friendly. He is super knowledgeable about diamonds and all jewelry. I absolutely love his honesty and integrity. He cleaned my ring and even had the diamond adjusted. Everything is done right in front of you. They show you your diamond on a big screen and your diamond never leaves your sight.I cannot say enough great things about Sean and Gennaro’s. Although I live in New Jersey, I will drive to Long Island to come to this store for ALL my jewelry needs. 2022-08-07Nichelle gave me a wonderful first impression of the staff when I came in searching for a wedding band. She was so friendly, kind and considerate. I liked how she immediately offered to clean my engagement ring complimentary to make sure it sparkled alongside the brand new jewelry I’d be trying on. Then she listened to my vision and worked with me to find what would look best, with patience to let me try all different styles to help me figure out exactly what I wanted. While there are many jewelers out there who make you feel pressured or try to push their own opinions, this felt like I was shopping with a good friend. Thank you for a great experience!

2022-03-22We went this morning for the first time. I had a couple stones missing from my ring and had to get a band sized, and wanted to choose another band to complete my wedding set. I was blown away. From start to finish, they were amazing. They walk you through every step of the process. Your jewelry never leaves your sight. I was amazed by the whole process from measuring, replacing stones, sizing all while being accompanied one of their many friendly staff members. We found out that one of the stones I had lost, that our old jeweler replaced was a cubic zirconia. They tested everything in front of us with a tool that shows if a stone is real or not. The entire experience was 5 star, and I really appreciated the level of customer service through and through. We will definitely be back and most likely will not use another jeweler ever again.
