I was so pleased with this company. I told Paul Im a rookie mover and he gave me tips that will save myself time and money the day of the move. Super helpful. His estimate beat out the other guys and they even beat their estimate the day of the move! His team that came the day of the move, Charlie, Jose and Kevin, were professional and so freaking fast. They were kind enough to help move out giant and heavy exercise equipment as well as a few other heavy and unexpected items. They didnt leave until they were sure that I felt satisfied. Ask for them! You wont be sorry!
Many thanks to Paul Gentil and the crew at Gentil Movers for once again moving me from one home to another. I used you 11 years ago to move in so when I was selling I didnt hesitate to call you again. I moved this week and I cant begin to tell you how smoothly everything went, how professional and respectful all the guys were and how hard they worked. Not only did I have 2 truck loads of stuff they had to deal with rain all day and several flights of stairs in each home. A special shout out to Jose, Charlie, Kevin, Jordan , Dave and Kenny on an EXCELLENT JOB!!! To say I appreciate all you guys did is an understatement. I would highly recommend Gentil Movers to any of my friends or family member.
Gentil Moving took the stress out of moving. From the fair, accurate estimate to the absolutely superb, professional services on moving day. I cannot thank Chuck, Jose, Eli and Jack enough. They were prompt, detailed and efficient. I hope not to move again anytime soon, but if I do I wouldnt want anybody other than those 4 helping me. Thank you, again.
If you are moving and in a dilemma about which moving company to hire, your search is over. Gentil Movers is by far the best moving company I have ever worked with. Communication is superior. Before my move, I called several times with various questions. Before the phone rang 3 times, someone always picked up and answered my questions cheerfully and completely. Our moving date was not determined until just a few days before closing…so stressful…but not for Gentil movers…they held several dates for me tentatively. Now…let’s get to the actual move. Amazing, incredible, remarkable, inspiring. These men were strong, they were organized, they were helpful, they were untiring. Greg was in charge from beginning to end, and what a job he and his crew did. Not a scratch on the wall, not one item damaged, everything moved to the exact spots we requested. Simply perfect. Do not hesitate to hire this company. They are at the top of their game in every way.
On 10/15, Kevin, Jose and Charlie entered my soon to be sold house and moved its contents flawlessly. The move was split in two with a local stop, and then the 2nd stop 70 miles away. They were polite and professional. Each item was wrapped carefully, and carried out with walls, and doors in mind. Not a scratch anywhere!! 2 house!!And...they worked so quick that my bill was lower than the initial estimate. We have a 3rd move in future, and I will be requesting Charlie, Kevin, and Jose.
Easy to see right off of Jericho Turnpike servicing Garden City Park and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Used them about 20 years ago to move houses. Very professional and courteous. Reasonably priced. Great staff. Credit cards accepted. Highly recommended. We will definitely be going back.
Havent used them yet but over the phone very professional and will pack for you as well and no additional fees going to storage units. they come to your home to give estimate...totally plan on using them in the fall

Gentil Movers were exactly that: GENTLE! They packed what we couldnt finish and moved all of our items quickly and carefully. They even referred someone who could disassemble and re-assemble some gym equipment. 5 star quality!
I cannot say enough things about what a great job the crew did on my move. From start to finish they could not do enough to make sure my move was as easy as possible. I would highly recommend Gentil . They also came on a little less than quote so no surprises at the end !!
Best moving company hands down! Eli and jose are the two hardest workers Ive ever encountered from beginning to end these guys went above and beyond for me and they were extremely strong it was scary how they lifted my furniture like it was nothing i will recommend this company to anyone and eli and jose i cant thank you two enough really the best ask for them!

Just saw a driver the other day with the work shirt of this company, driving recklessly, tailgating people hard while slamming his horn, cutting people off, swerving between lanes, and having serious road rage. He even jumped out of his pick up and attacked a driver for no reason. Whoever the driver of FJT9189 is, I will not bring my business to a company if lunatics like him.

2022-02-20Absolutely could not have asked for a better experience with this moving company. The movers were kind, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, quick and efficient. The quote estimate was pretty much spot on to the final price. When initially setting up the move they were responsive and helpful. Everything arrived safely, all our furniture was put back together perfectly. They cleaned up after themselves. They were completely at our service as to where we wanted things. I truly cannot stress enough how impressed we were.

2021-05-11This is our second time using Gentil for a move. They moved us into our home back in the mid 90s and moved us out last week. Pauls estimate was fair and spot on. His crew was excellent and professional. Moving is stressful and the guys made it go very smoothly. They definitely know what they are doing, from the wrapping to the loading and unloading into our new place. We wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

2021-02-01Meet with Paul ( owner )a couple months back to discuss a future move. He came to our house and gave a walk through of everything going on the move. I called about 10 days b/4 closing to set up our move. Mike called back and we were all set. Insurance was mailed to the building we were moving into and the day came, crew of 4 was on time, professional and move went so smooth. Easy to deal with and competitive pricing. Highly recommend.

2019-11-02Exceeded expectations! Very professional, organized and friendly team. Right on time and they moved my 1 BR apartment in no time! Charles, Jose Daryl and Dave didnt just move stuff. They went above and beyond to make sure everything is to our satisfaction. No damage and each piece and box placed and assembled as we wanted. Very reasonable pricing. I also had the chance to meet the boss Paul who promptly showed up when due to road closed issue at my apartment and resolved in no time.I highly recommend these guys and will definitely hire again if I need to.

I had other companies come and by far Paul was the best.The crew showed up on time and was very courteous. They made a difficult time very pleasant. The wrapped everything up meticulously and were very careful not to damage anything. I would highly recommend Gentil moving services. 2016-06-01We hired Gentil Moving Services for a local move on a holiday weekend. The entire experience from the initial phone call for a quote through the payment of the bill was a 10++. I received 2 confirmation calls prior to the move, at which time, we reviewed the size of the move so that the move would go smoothly. The crew arrived promptly. They were friendly, extremely helpful, courteous, professional, hard working and went above and beyond in their work ethics. The pricing was just as explained, there were no surprises. I would recommend Gentil to everyone and truly mean that there is no reason to call anyone else.

2018-06-26I could not be happier with the service from Gentil Moving! From the first conversation until the end of my move they were attentive, honest and helpful. My move was easy and stress-free because of them. I highly recommend their services. In addition, their fees are extremely reasonable. Gentil Moving Services moved my furniture from Mineola to Westy Self Storage in East Northport. The three men who moved my furniture were kind, and more than efficient. They did not take advantage of the time at all. They worked every minute and were done within an hour! I will absolutely use Gentil Moving again and I highly recommend their services.

2021-03-11I mean if you want your movers to just plop their moving truck on a busy street blocking all traffic, while the movers sneer and laugh at the traffic build up they created then this business is for you. Inconsiderate, unprofessional, watched them toss stuff into a moving truck. Real gentle with your valuables it looks like.
