Dr. Polevoy and his staff are always attentive and welcoming. Once again, I had an emergency issue and Dr. Polevoy saw me right away. Wonderful dentist…awesome staff!
Niya(?) was amazing. She explained everything before proceeding with the cleaning. She was very gentle (as gentle as she could be considering I haven’t had a cleaning in 2 years). I would definitely recommend her for a cleaning!

Just moved to White Plains & needed to find a nearby dentist who took my UFT insurance. I found Dr. Polevoy & Gentle Touch via internet search/reviews. I happy to report that Dr. P & the ENTIRE STAFF in this office were really great. Everyone from the front desk, dental assistant & hygienist were friendly, polite, & took time to answer my questions. Btw, even the cleaning was ‘gentle’, so the practice is aptly named! I highly recommend this practice.
This was the best experience at a dentist that I’ve ever had. I was very nervous at first since it’s been a while since my last cleaning. The dentist and his staff were very friendly and courteous. They explained what my issues were and gave me a treatment plan accordingly. What surprised me the most is that the service that this practice provides really is “gentle” as their name implies. The deep cleaning really was painless compared to my past experiences with other dental practices. I would highly recommend anyone to come to Gentle Touch Dentistry for any and all dental work that is required. You won’t regret it

I had to have an emergency extraction I called at 4 they fit me in for 5. The staff and the dentist himself were welcoming and made me feel extremely comfortable. The dentist did such a good job with my tooth that I didn’t even feel when he pulled it .
Even after a long absence from seeing Dr. Polevoy, I feel very comfortable returning. Patients are always greeted almost like family. All the staff are friendly and professional. And Dr. Polevoy is a master at his craft. Ive recommended him to several of my friends. All in all, each visit is a pleasant experience. I give him 5 Stars for Excellence!

I was a nervous wreck walking in there. I showed up last minute trying to schedule an appointment they saw how much pain I was in and were able to accommodate me. The staff from the Young Ladies at the front to every single perfect I came across Today , very professional and compassionate.Just the thought of walking into a dentists office made my anxiety go thru the roof. I never thought I would be able to sit thru a root canal procedure.Dr. Steven Polevoy was amazing from start to finish helped me thru my anxiety and claustrophobia each step of the procedure what an amazing experience !!!! I had several bad experiences with dentists. Unnecessary work done, treatment coordinators trying to get tons of money. Literally everyone in this office was so nice! They broke down what I needed done with appropriate payments and made me feel so comfortable! The dentist himself even followed up after my visit to see how I was feeling. So refreshing!
I have been to see Dr Polevoy a couple of times now and I am very pleased. I have serious dental anxiety and everyone is just so nice and that helps a lot. I moved from the city a few years ago and was nervous about finding a local dentist so I am happy that this is working out well. I would definitely recommend Dr Polevoy if you are looking for a dentist. Also he does everything, crowns and implants and such so you dont have to run around to see different specialists.

Wonderfully organized and mindful of COVID-19 precautions. The care from Dr. Polevoy and his dental assistant is thorough and caring! I am glad I followed a friends recommendation to go there when I moved to Connecticut. It is an easy drive to his office in New York State. I appreciate the office reminders of an appointment coming up, instructions on how and when to premedicate for titanium knee and hip replacements, messages on whether the office is running on time, and to announce myself and then enter the building. Its a combination of great dentistry and procedures to stay safe from the virus.
Kema was an excellent hygienist. She is very thorough and highly skilled. Kind, personable and great at her profession. Doctor Kwag is also a kind and caring dentist who made feel very comfortable.Saw Kima again today and shes the best hygienist ever!!

I have always been afraid of the dentist but today the experience was different. Had an amazing experience with Dr. Polevoy and his staff at Gentle Touch! I HATE the dentist, so I was not excited to visit a new dentist to had to have a filling replaced and a cleaning. The dentist and hygienists were great! The filling replacement was nearly painless. Was probably the best experience I’ve ever had at the dentist. Recommend highly!
Called today in pain and a lot of discomfort they took me in within a few hours, everyone from the first phone call to the actual doctor was professional, helpful and so accommodating. They answered all my questions, the doctor took his time explaining everything to me why I was in pain what he was going to do and what would happen. Came to Gentle Touch Dentistry in an emergency capacity on 3/9. I was not a patient previously but was in pain. When I called to see if they could see me I spoke to Jo - who was very kind & understanding of my situation. I was so relieved when she said they could get me in and that I could come over right then - which is what I was hoping for. When I arrived the people at the front desk were all professional & friendly as Jo had been on the phone. Tiffany, who was lovely, gave me a couple of forms to fill out & they took me back immediately - which again was such a relief! Monte, Dr Polevoys assistant was very friendly which helped to put me at ease. After a couple of xrays Dr. Polevoy came in gently checked the area of my discomfort & after careful consideration, he put my xrays up & explained what he thought the issue was. He then clearly described what he felt needed to be done, answered any questions I had & mapped out what he thought would be the most effective way to achieve the best result. I agreed and so he began his work and as the name would indicate he actually did have a gentle touch! LoL! The work was complete for this visit within the time frame Dr. Polevoy estimated. Everyone was very caring when I was leaving. They gave me the necessary follow up instructions and let me know that if I needed anything not to hesitate to call. And I was out the door and that night when the numbing wore off - I was pain free!! This was my experience with Dr, Polevoy & his team, Im grateful they could accomodate me that day and it was really just a bonus that I had such a good experience! That is why I chose to write this review. And that is why Dr. Polevoy will be my choice of dentist going forward. Hope this helps anyone wondering.....

My family have been patients of Dr. Polevoy for years. Due to concerns about coronavirus I had put off my regularly scheduled cleaning appointments. I finally felt comfortable to make an appointment with Mya and am I glad I did. She is one of the best hygienists to have ever cleaned my teeth. Her touch was so gentle I was hesitant to check in the mirror fearingmyteeth wouldnt look great
My favorite place, Victoria who was gentle gave me an excellent cleaning and was also so informative and diligent explaining any procedures. The staff is always pleasant and friendly and super helpful and always detail in any work being done. Dr. Polevoy is always pleasant and caring. I always leave happy with an awesome cleaning which leave my teeth spanking new. Appointments are always on time which is very important for me.
This is the best dental practice I have ever been to. Everyone seems happy to be there and is very professional and supportive. Dr. Polevoy is great. He explains everything and gives totally painless Novocain shots. I unexpectedly needed 2 crowns and he took the time to do them then and there so I didn’t have to come back. He takes pictures with a tiny camera wand throughout the process to show you the progress. It was quick and painless and I experienced only very mild discomfort for one day after. I can’t recommend this place enough. I’m so glad to have found it.
Today was my first day going to Gentle Touch Dentistry. Right from the start the front desk staff were wonderful. The young lady gave a warm and friendly greeting ( sorry, forgot her name) I then met Pamela, who did the fasted and most gentle X-rays. Then I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Polevoy. He explained to me exactly what I needed done and what was priority. This is the first time I was not afraid of the dentist and I’m 55 years old. That says a lot. Dental work is costly but the lovely Tiffany is willing to work with me the best she could and I really appreciate that. Also there was absolutely no waiting time.I will be starting my dental work next week and I can tell I am very capable hands. Thank you.
Great staff. Very understanding to those who have a fear of the dentist. I had a root canal and extraction. Didn’t feel any pain, and the doctor called me later that evening to check on me. Prices are very reasonable. Will never go anywhere else but here for my dental needs!!!
Dr. Steven Polevoy and his staff are always very professional and accommodating. Instructions and billing is always explained well. When I do have an issue that requires me to return for a quick follow up appointment, the scheduling is simple. The staff is always pleasant and helpful.I doubt anyone loves going to the dentist, but Dr. Polevoy and his staff make the overall experience as smooth as possible. I appreciate that and would recommend this practice to others without hesitation.
I am a scaredy cat. When Dr. Polevoy said I had a cavity, panic set in. He had to administer novicane to my lower gum to eliminate any pain for drilling. Didnt feel a thing! Just wonderful!
I visited Dr. Polevoy office for a cracked tooth...even though I had other dental issues that was tge pressing issue and my nerves were bad..Dr. Polevoy was so professional, kind and knowledgeable I was relaxed just talking to him in consultation. I was able to address my other dental issues and take care of my cracked tooth. I felt nothing and the staff was so kind and gentle. I will definitely be returning for a follow up...I highly recommend..👍👍
I had an emergency situation and needed to be seen ASAP. When my current dentist’s office told me they were booked, I looked for someone who would take me right away. I called Dr Polevoy’s office on a Tuesday evening and was seen the next day. Turned out I needed a root canal and Dr Polevoy took the time to get it done right then and there and made it quick and painless. He and everyone in the office were very kind and understanding of my situation and made sure that I got the care I needed as fast as possible. I 100% recommend Dr Polevoy and this office!!
Honestly, it was one of the best dental experiences I have ever had, and I have had plenty. Normally I feel very nervous on the chair, but not this time. From checking in at the reception to the finish product everything was pleasant and relaxing. So happy to have found this practice, for all my future dental work.

Dr. Polevoy is the best! He is excellent at what he does and really takes pride in his work. He is extremely knowledgable, and takes the time to explain things in a way so that the patient understands. The staff is awesome as well! Lauren, Sandy, Eddie and Donna all go out of their way to make you feel at home! This office turned a bunch of boring, extensive dental work, into a fun, memorable experience! I would recommend them to all!

Having watched Dr. Polevoy spin his magic for 6 months during our practice transition, I had no hesitation in choosing him when a fractured tooth required a crown. His injections were totally painless, and he effortlessly moved along with the procedure in full control. This only reinforces my notion that my patients will continue to get the best quality dental care since my retirement. People often say find out who doctors go to when they need care. I hope this answers that question!

Ive been going to Dr Polevy for several years, because I have never maintained steady relationships with dentists, because of my fear and anxiety about dental pain. Dr Polevy runs a very neat, clean, modern, friendly office, with a great staff. They all do whatever they can do to make your experience a pleasant one, or , at least as pleasant as a dental experience can be. I have had lots of complex procedureswith the doctor and his staff, and if they can make me feel comfortable, and theexperience painless, thats really something, because I think I may be the most fearful patient Ive ever known. Kudos to Dr Polevoy and staff, a very nice group of people, and a great dentist

I just visited the orthodontist, who recommended that two baby teeth to be pulled before any orthodontic work can begin on my son. About an hour or two later, I called Dr. Polevoys office regarding insurance coverage for the extractions and to schedule an appointment for later in the week. That same day, I had the orthodontist visit for my son Dr. Polevoy was able to accommodate me when I had asked to see if there were any appointments available with in the next couple hours. I have been coming to Gentle touch for a few years. My coworker referred me. He goes there with his wife and kids as well. I am the type of person that gets major anxiety going to the dentist. I went years barely getting cleanings because it was really outside of my comfort zone. My coworker told me that Dr. Polevoy is the best dentist in westchester. I am happy i finally listened to him because really the staff and the dentists there focus on being gentle. Now i dont get anxiety going to the dentist. I have been getting regular cleanings. And the thing i think i like the most is unlike many other doctors. The staff there only recommend the treatments and services you need. Its an honest practice. I dont feel like i am being upsold.So now I tell everyone I know that Dr. Polevoy is the best dentist in White Plains. The experience is smooth. The scheduling and operations are very efficient. The office is really nice. Location is in a corporate building on Mamaroneck Ave. and most of all they really do have a gentle touch. Its not just a company name. Its what they do.Hopefully someone reads this review and decides to give Gentle Touch a try like i did. I promise you wont be disappointed.

Wow what an amazing 180 degrees for my mouth that hadnt seen a dentist in about 10 years. Before going my mouth hurt I couldnt chew on the right side and I would have a mouthful of blood everytime I flossed and brushed. So when i went to gentle touch dentistry the receptionists were very nice and the great teamwork between Dr. Polevoy and Christina was phenomenal. Dr. Polevoy explaining everything clearly and telling me what was going on what was going to happen and what needed to be done. And the outstanding job Christina did deep cleaning my mouth. Since then my mouth doesnt hurt anymore i can chew on both sides and little to no blood when i brush and floss and I can feel the spaces between my teeth finally. I’m always anxious going to the dentist but I’m always out at ease by the entire office staff. Today I had Kima for the first time and she was great. And, of course, Dr. Polevoy is the best.
I called the dental office and they stated they took my insurance. The biller Tiffany now states that they accept the insurance but I was not in network so I have to pay the difference in cost.The doctor on the day of the exam looked at my tooth for five minutes and shut off the light after he gave the decision that my tooth must be pulled and when I said that I did not want to have it pulled and wanted an alternative, he walked out of the office after he turned off the light.He did not even discuss other alternatives with me.I told them I had an x-ray from another dentist and they said they had to take the x ray anyway and then I was charged from my insurance because there were too many x-rays on that tooth. This was only my second opinion.It is fraud that they say they accept the insurance and do not tell you you are not in network. Then they expected me to pay the difference in the bill.
Overall very happy with all my visits at Gentle touch dentistry. The procedure I had was done efficiently and with minimal discomfort by Dr Polevoy.

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Pulevoy and his staff. I was very nervous about having my first root canal. Dr. Pulevoy was very gentle and made me feel very comfortable. My temporary tooth also fell out after hours and Dr. Pulevoy called me back within minutes.

Im very skeptical of going to dentists, im one of those people that didnt go for 5 + years because i was scared but i decided it was way over due so i finally went and this place is so amazing they make you feel so comfortable, make sure you dont have any pain. My experience with this dentist office was a nightmare. The impressions taken for a new partial plate was not done correctly which caused the temporary plate and then the permanent plate to be an incorrect fit. For this reason I had to wait 6 weeks for a fit with my new partial but I spent the 6 weeks going around with my upper front and side teeth missing from my mouth. It was a very embarrassing time for me. I would not recommend this office at all.

The office manager submitted wrong service code to the insurance company, after we informed the office, she resubmitted to the insurance company and got rejected for the similar services on the same date. Instead of reaching out to correct the information with the insurance co., the dentist office sued us at the small claim court. never go back again!
This is a very friendly and welcoming place. The hygienist was very good. I am glad I chose this clinic for my whole family.
Just had my cleaning & checkup done at Dr Steve’s office, I had Kima as my hygienist, can’t say enough about her, she was great, listened about my fears, very caring & very gentle when using her instruments to clean my teeth, thanks Kima & see you in six months
I loved my experience, it was such a breath of fresh air. The staff was very friendly and the doctor was honest and very knowledgeable.
I went in early this morning @7:30 am crying in an extreme amount of pain and because i didnt have payment the office wouldnt pull my tooth. where is the compassion you see a young girl sobbing in pain and they didnt even try to work something out. meanwhile i work upstairs how could i run on the bill.I am at disbelief, 5 hours after I wrote this review the office calls trying to accommodate me, where was this when I was in your office crying my eyes out!? The nerve of some people 😡😡

Wow where to start for me I’ve been putting off going to a dentist my whole life til it’s to late then your in pain I was one who said I will never ever have a root canal I went for a check up because I had a cracked tooth that I kept putting one of those cvs tooth fillers in that’s how much I hate going to the dentist let me tell you from the second you walk in they had my paper work ready I was called into.what I think of is like the execution Chair lol took X-rays doc said you need a root canal and one tooth is cracked so me the baby I’m I’m like ok can I come back tomorrow I have a fib and I took blood thinners he said it’s ok won’t have anything to do with it it can be done dr promised me I wouldn’t feel a thing me sitting there thinking I have to get out of here lol but I said I’m here let’s go took a little gas’s he numbed me people when I tell you I did not feel not a pinch not one the whole time he was working on me drilling scrapping what ever I felt nothing even now the next morning nothing all I can say is thank you to doc and His staff everyone in the office thank you now I know why it’s called gentle touch amazing I know now I am not afraid to go a dentist now that is for sure this is definitely my new dentist thank you again rob Mccullough

2022-02-24I was able to make an emergency appointment yesterday for today. I was in so much pain due to a cracked tooth. The ladies at the front desk were so friendly and made me feel welcomed as soon as I walked in. It did not take long for me to be seen. The nice hygienist (sorry forgot her name) was really sweet. Dr. Polevoy made this a very easy and comfortable process. I have anxiety when it comes to the dentist and he definitely eased all of it. My procedure was quick & completely painless ! This was my first visit and definitely not my last.

2022-04-05I was in need of a dentist for major work. I found them through google and I’m so glad I did. We all have the anxiety of going to the dentist.. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Dr. Polevoy is a great dentist, he takes his time and makes sure that everything he done is perfect. If he doesn’t like it, he will re-do it. I’ve had experiences with pain from the dentist, but none here. Dr will always make sure you are comfortable and in no pain. The receptionist when you walk in is very friendly and easy to have a conversation with, while the receptionist when leave is very sweet, she makes you excited to come back for you next visit.

2021-12-29This was the best dental experience Ive ever had. It was my first time there, and I wasnt disappointed. I had an emergency crown installed.When I called at 2 p.m., they scheduled me for 4 p.m. I needed an emergency crown placed, and both the staff and the dentist were friendly and made me feel at ease. Dr. Steven was kind enough to call back and check in to make sure there were no complications.Excellent work! I highly recommend it!

2022-02-24Dr. Polevoy is an extremely competent and knowledgeable dentist. I am a practicing dentist in White Plains and have a wide choice of dentists to choose from. Yet, I have chosen him because of his expertise and can not be happier of my choice. His office is extremely clean and staffs are a joy to work with. I highly recommend him highly!
