Dont be fooled by the exterior and location. Iced coffee here is LEGIT. Best on LI (well, I havent had better yet anywhere else). Really strong coffee. Flavors on point. Smooth. They use coffee ice cubes. Havent tried anything else yet, will have to explore one day. I dream about that iced coffee...
OMG. This place is a gem and an amazing find.Dont be fooled by the simple exterior. Once you walk in and the aroma of coffee hits you and it will put a smile on your face. They have coffee from around the world and it varies from time to time, so you will not get bored. The cold brew / iced coffee gets frozen coffee iced cubes, so it won’t get watered down as it melts.AND let me tell you the people. This is a place where they always welcome you with a smile. Once you become a regular (because you just might), they will know your name and order. To top it all off, youre supporting a local business for a fraction of the cost of what a Starbucks coffee would cost.Give this place a try.
Went in there a confused, aspiring coffee enthusiast. Left feeling very comfortable with the selection I was lead to buy. A beautiful Ethiopian light roast, lemon body, raspberry finish. All of these things that they describe it as are EXACTLY that. 25 bucks for a bag but it was honestly the best 25 bucks I have spent in a while. Highly recommend this place they truly know coffee, all types.
Great single origin coffee roasted in house. Every single coffee is different and has its own flavor.. They usually brew one or two types of coffee per day and if youre lucky youll walk in on a day theyre brewing something extremely rare. Taste a true cup o Joe or should I say Gio! Its always served piping hot and fresh. If you want a Specialty Latte, Flat White, Au Lait, Espresso or Pour over the Barista or Giorgio himself will make it just how you like it. Best Coffee Shop I know of.
The nicest people serving the worlds best coffee. Georgios roasts on site the most exceptional quality coffee. I thought I knew what good coffee was, until I had the coffee here and everything changed. Stop by and try a brew or buy some beans, you wont be disappointed.
Awesome coffee! The best around period. If you know your coffee and are very particular about what you drink, this is the place youre looking for. Georgio sources his coffee beans himself (actually his wife does) from around the globe. He roasts it and serves it with passion. Along with a few stories.
I travel a decent amount to different parts of the country and after being a customer for 2 or 3 years, I still say this is the best place for coffee on long Island as well as everywhere else Ive been to. If you like Stumptown, blue bottle, counter culture, or any big names in specialty coffee, you need to come to Georgios. This is the real deal.
I have been going to Georgios since they used to be on Jericho Tpke in Huntington Station. Consistently pleasant experience shopping for coffee beans. Georgio is always very jovial and helpful in selecting beans based on your tastes. Prices per bag in-store are very reasonable considering the quality of these single-origin beans (you can also buy from their web site, but the bags are smaller). Georgio is always researching new beans and attending cuppings to keep his knowledge fresh. His wife, Lydia, is also lovely, though less gregarious than her husband. Her Colombian (I believe) background and his Italian heritage make a terrific pairing of coffee expertise. PLUS - they do a lot of work with indigenous coffee farmers to help with their businesses and living conditions, often taking trips to these remote locations themselves. I also often get an iced coffee from them, which is always delicious, and served with coffee ice cubes. While they do have a small assortment of treats you can purchase with your coffee, be aware that this is NOT an eatery - its all about the coffee.
The best coffee in the entire country. Hands down.Originally my review of this place just said best coffee or something. But then, I traveled the entire country, spent 2 years trying hundreds of coffee shops around the country, and working for Peets (theyre like a starbucks but the coffee is good).Im writing this as a person who worked for the most popular distributor and provider of coffee-shop needs in NYC metro area, and a barista myself. Flywheel roasters in San Francisco, Onyx Coffee Lab in NWA, the 5-floor Starbucks Roastery in Chicago which has barrel-aged coffee, and so, SO, SO many more. You might even know Flux coffee, which is in the same city of farmingdale as Georgios is.None of them even come CLOSE.Drinking coffee at georgios is like... being the first person to discover chocolate. As if everyone in the world is eating the chocolate fruit but this one place, this one guy, has figured out how to make the milky, delicious, luscious chocolate bar we all know today.Georgios coffee has FLAVOR. The flavor of all their drinks comes straight from the coffee. Instead of needing raspberry syrup, or chocolate flakes, or caramel, all of that flavor comes from the coffee itself.Georgios itself is a place with only three employees. Georgio, his wife, and the Long Island championship barista. Thats it. He sources his own beans, roasts everything in house, and ensures every single step from bean to cup is meticulous, quality-tested and assured, and perfect. One of his coffees, for example, I was able to try a small amount of green beans to roast at home. As a complete beginner for roasted. I did it on a pan, and made a cup, and not only was it delicious the entire way down, but the finish was pure milk chocolate. Indecipherable from hand-made hot chocolate. And thats with my amateur roasting. The starter was so unbelieveably incredible that I was able to get that out of it. And that quality of coffee bean is just how he starts. He starts with perfection, roasts to perfection, and cups that coffee to blow you mind and make you never go back.Hes also got like 20-40 (I cant count, sorry) types of roasted beans that you can buy, at very reasonable prices.Anyway, best coffee in the country. By far. Thats it! GO.
Without a doubt, the best coffee roasters in NY (or anywhere else for that matter!) Georgio, Lydia, and staff are so knowledgeable and just awesome people. We like to call Georgios the punk rock of coffee shops, as its a no frills, no wifi, no couches, type of place. Its amazing, stop reading this and just go!
I came here a year ago when I was visiting the area. I stopped in only for a cup of coffee and when I tasted it, I knew I had to buy beans too. When I arrived he was cupping a series of different coffees himself, deciding on a select few which were good enough to buy and sell.Unbelievably good, they are pros. I seek out places like this whenever Im on the road and I have yet to find an equal to Georgios. Too bad I dont make it out to long island often.
Theres no good coffee in Long Island. This is 99% true. Georgios is the 1%. This professorial coffee genius is at the top of the coffee pyramid, and this includes beans roasted in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Dont expect neon signage, cacti, and bleached reclaimed wood here, this isnt a hipster oasis in Farmingdale. Its all about the rare, fragrant and freshly roasted single origin coffees.
Far and away the best coffee roaster. Not only on L.I., but one of the best in the world. Georgio carries premium, rare coffees roasted to perfection, is fountain of knowledge about coffee (and good music) and runs one of the warmest, down to earth coffee shops. Simply a treasure.
Georgio’s coffee is the best coffee.!I prefer my afternoons with a cappuccino soI used to be a Starbucks loyal until I had Georgio’s. Now I don’t even waste my time or money anywhere else. No other coffee is worth it.I also buy their Fede’s blend for home. Best coffee ever!
This place is such a hole in the wall. I stumpled upon this by accident. I reccomend their coldbrew, vietnamese coldbrew and mocha. They use coffee ice cubes. The staff is knowledgable and you can find tea and coffee here to give as amazing gifts to people. Not enough people know about this place their quanlity is amazing I hope you give it a chance and stop in.
Georgio and Lydia know coffee...period. You will be hard pressed (pun intended) to find a roaster that knows how to roast a bean to its most flavorful perfection as it is done at Georgios. If you think you love coffee try a cup from a freshly roasted bean selection by Georgios and you will be convinced that you absolutely do love coffee.Georgios acquires these great coffees after cupping and selecting samples sent to them by smallish coffee farmers world wide. Be forewarned, you may not be able to stomach any mass produced, supermarket and fast food store, yes even Starbucks, run of the mill coffee from hence forth.
I grew up on Long Island and travel there frequently. I came across Georgios while searching for a better cup of coffee. I found it. What a nice couple Georgio and Lydia are. There coffee is delicious, and he taught me a thing or two about coffee. Best coffee I have gotten on the island by far. Seek this place out!
The best coffee anywhere, from the most passionate people, who are also the most concerned and fairest to the farmers at the other end of the chain. If everyone served such quality products and obtained them in such quality fashion, what a tastier and better world this would be.
Georgio is an industry catalyst. He does consulting work for coffee roasters all over the world and has an intense focus on coffee farmers. This is his shop. Youll find some of the best bean profiles here, roasted by his Colombian spouse, Lydia, and himself on their vintage Probat.
This is the premier location for specialty coffee lovers in Long Island as far as Im concerned you have over 60 years of experience between Giorgio is wonderful and knowledgeable wife Lydia and of course the top Arista Richie these individuals contain a wealth of coffee knowledge and will be able to fulfill any reasonable coffee request plus you can get coffees from all around the world especially if you love great coffee, this is the place to go as they generally have coffee that tops $100 a pound but there are coffees for every budget and the quality is unmatched!
The best coffee place around, they roast the coffee on premises, have these nice espresso machines. The ice for the cold brew is actually made from coffee instead of water so that it does not dilute the taste. Lydia is awesome, Georgio is amazing and the new guy i think Tom is pretty good as well.

2020-08-14Many years ago, a friend recommended that I look into a local coffee roaster. I hit the coffee jackpot when I found Georgio. Its the best coffee on Planet Earth. Maybe the entire galaxy. After you drink this coffee, nothing else compares.Georgio is a GREAT guy with an awesome team. If I have to order online, he ships IMMEDIATELY (UPS is right around the corner from him).I travel quite a bit, but I dont go anywhere without my mokka pot, conical burr grinder, and healthy supply of Georgios coffee. Its like AMEX, dont leave home without it!

2021-10-29Not sure why everyone is saying that this place has the best coffee theyve ever had...the great reviews sold me so I drove out of my way to try their coffee. I ordered a hot latte which ended up tasting like just a very lightly brewed coffee with milk. Im an avid coffee drinker and Ive been to a majority of cafes on the island and this bean wasnt anything to praise about. It wasnt exactly cheap either for the quality. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day but I was disappointed to say the least. Aside from the beverage though, the customer service was exceptional and they were very kind.

2020-10-01You will really enjoy Georgio’s if you love coffee. They are into small batch single origin roasted fresh in the store. I go well out of my way to get here and it’s always a trip worth while. I love coffee. They have an excellent barista in Chris too.

2021-05-10I bought coffee from Aldi and didnt realize it was whole bean. I called Georgios and got my coffee ground down at no charge. I decided to try their specialties coffee and ordered a Machiatto. I dont remember having a coffee taste this good in my life. This is probably the best coffee you can get in the entire NY state.

2020-09-19Georgios is great. Excellent vietnamese cold brew, Maple Lattes, and traditional coffee drinks. Plenty of local shops and restaurants actually use Georgios roasted beans since theyre such high quality. The staff are also great. Recommended!

2020-06-04Best coffee beans I ever got in NYC and vicinity. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the owners hang around the shop and its such a great family owned business. I cant express how happy I am to have found them, especially in the pandemic, theyve been so fast with shipping online orders. Truly appreciated!!

2018-10-04Best coffee roaster on the island, possibly in all of NY. This place is the real deal. They roast their beans in house, know exactly what type of bean and grind youll need to suit your preference and brewing method, and theyre always helpful and willing to assist you when it comes to brewing or pulling espresso shots at home. If you need tips and pointers theyre the place to get your coffee from. The owner and baristas are genuinely passionate about what they do, and it shows. You can buy an espresso or regular and iced coffee before you buy a bag to see what the flavor profile is like. They even have the option to have iced cubes made of coffee in your iced coffee so it doesnt get watered down. Theyve thought everything through and it all culminates in a perfect cup of coffee Everytime you visit.Other reviewers from upstate mentioned they make the trek down to the island just to buy beans from this place. That right there speaks for itself as to the quality of what youre getting. Do yourself a favor and grab a pound of beans, youll see the difference from regular store bought or wholesale club stuff. Ive been going there since May and Ill never go anywhere else for my coffee beans again.
