Love Dr Drapo she is such a fantastic veterinarian. My dog absolutely loves her. All the techs and office staff are friendly and accommodating.
I will not take my pets anywhere else. Only the absolute best for them, and that is Gerber. The staff there is always very friendly and helpful, they make time for me if I have questions or concerns, or need to bring my pets in. I never feel like Im being rushed when Im there, they take the time and effort to explain things to me and make sure I understand everything. The office is always nice and clean as well.The prices are very reasonable. I often find strays on my doorstep and the work that they need varies. Ive never paid an unreasonable price at this office, and I have brought sick animals to them, or animals that were in need of surgery (spay/neuter). Dr.Gerber is not in it for the money. He truly loves the animals. This is not an office that will overcharge and recommend work that isnt needed. I have brought all sorts of different animals to them, each requiring different care. Ive brought sick animals to them and they have always taken the best approach for me, while also being considerate of my budget. They really do their best here to help, and every timeI see them they go above and beyond.I take my pets health very seriously. They are my family and I dont know what I would do if something happened to them.My pets cant talk to me and tell me if something is wrong, so thank God for Gerber because I trust them with my pets lives and I would be lost without them!Update: Ive been a client of Doctor Gerbers for over 8 years now, and Im convinced that hes a literal saint of animals. He and his team have taken such great care of my kitties, and the fosters that I bring in. They took such great care of my senior girl Sassy during her life, and I was there every other day with her it seemed, as she often got herself into trouble fighting with my other cat/had various health issues. My Sassy lived far beyond what she should have because of the ongoing care she recieved here. When I had to let her go, on the worst day of my life, they were so kind and considerate. She went peacefully and she did not suffer. They made sure of it. From the bottom of my heart, I am forever, eternally grateful for Doctor Gerber and his team.
I have been taking my pets to Dr Gerber for over 20 years. He and his staff are the best and they always show such compassion no matter what. I just love them all! Thank you for all you do in the good visits and the sad visits too. 🐱🐶💗🌈
Great service. Price is competitive. You can tell they take pride in the work they do. Super friendly, always willing to give you the best tools to care for your pet. Never recommend unnecessary services. So glad we have them as the doctors for our furry family members.
My wife and I went to Dr. Gerbers office because my cat was sick in August 2019. After doing several test my wife questioned why bloodwork wasnt done sooner. Took him in following week and found out he had pancreatitis. However, they never explained all the results thourghly.also, they gave him fluid therapy in which they never explained that he could be limping from it, till it got in his system. My wife and I thought something was wrong. She then called the office and they said his limping is a reaction from the injection. They should have told us that when it was done. Also, they took x-rays which showed a mass on his abdomen.now pertaining to those rude receptions.my wife called several times after his death because she still had questions. And they told her that her and the other staff was getting annoyed with all the calls and were very disrespectful towards my wife.also, if they would return phone call, not 4 days later, she wouldnt have to call alot.per the Dr he told the staff to tell her that they have other animals to attend too. Then we went to make another appt for,our other animal and that we were no longer welcomed their as clients. Staff also said Dr will always back his staff. Ive lost respect for Dr Gerber because he couldnt tell us his self, he had to hide behind, his staff. I used to have respect for him, not any more. I feel that its Dr Gerber practice, he should told us his self.
These guys are the best. We have used their services for over 13 years. Dr. Gerber and team are the most caring clinic around.
I called about my dogs clicking noise and they said he would have to have an xray and stay for the day. I said i dont feel comfortable because my wife and i schedule. The Secretary wendy got really loud and mean. They will say she didnt get loud but i taped the conversation. I didnt even get the chance to apologize they already sent my animals paperwork out. They are very hard to work with and you can never get a hold of them. Please be aware.
The front end / office who answer the phone are so so rude! I’ve never had a personal / professional issue with Dr. Gerber himself. Regardless, after you encounter ill mannered receptionist, you have to ask yourself if your in the right place”. I’ll be seeing the vet himself shortly and will be telling him of my experience . Proving he apologized etc... I’m not sure I’ll feel comfortable providing our family pet required over night treatment. Hummm? Not sure what to do yet. Dr Gerber and Dr M are excellent vets. They are very compassionate Drs. .i trust them totally with my animals . Never have they tried to get me to get unnecessary care for my pets . I believe their prices to be fair . My family and I have known Dr Gerber for quite some time and I can say we have always found him to be very intelligent,patient and caring . l Thank God for people like him who care for our pets.His love for animals is obvious!
Let me start out saying Im extremely upset with this Veterinary Clinic. I had been a long-time customer of theirs and brought my pets to them. I even shared a very emotional moment where I put my dog down at that clinic. I brought my cat there to get shots. I called about a year later to get shots for my two new kittens. I was called back and told that I was deleted from the system because I hadnt been there. I am so disappointed after all the money I have spent there. They tell me theyre not taking new clients. Since when is having your dog over there for several years and put down at their Clinic a new client? I want nothing to do with this Clinic and I do not respect the way they treat current customers customers that have paid a lot of money. Please beware and take your business somewhere else because they may lose your files and delete you because of their mistake. The lady tells me we will Dr Gerber has 6000 patients. Because Dr Gerber took too many patients theyre just going to delete current patients at will? Thank you very much Ill take my business elsewhere
Been going to Dr Gerber for years... Hes not taking new patients and hasnt been for years. So you leave him a 1 star review because you cannot get your way? Dr Gerber has been amazing for years. Very pet friendly. An obvious pet lover. Most of his staff have worked there for years. I go to several other great vets in the area too (Dr Lou Budick, Dr Jim Albert) and I feel Dr Gerber is still very reasonable for what you pay...People are pet lovers. I get it. Pet problems are stressful. I get it...Leaving bad reviews because he wont accept new patients is unfair. I hunt with Dr Budick and Dr Albert. I know what these guys make as Vets and believe me it isnt how much you think. They have huge overhead costs. They have a large staff to serve so many owners. If you can afford pet insurance, I highly recommend it. This way cost is eliminated out of the equation.
They treat every pet as if their the only one they take care of! We love the attention they give down to the smallest detail! Wouldn’t even think about taking our fur babies anywhere else!
I have been so grateful to have my dog as a patient of Dr.Gerber for the past 7 years. I have a 12 year old great dane that has had the best care that i could ever imagine at Dr.Gerbers office !! The energy of Dr.Gerber and his staff make me feel so at ease and educating me with the health issues that arise with my aging dane.
Dr. Ferber and his staff are the most compassionate and caring team. We have taken our lab there for 11+years. Today we had to lay him to rest, they made us feel good about the decision and allowed us to be with him and provided such professional compassionate end of life care.
I called because one of my family members had a 5 week old puppy having seizures out of nowhere and I live right next door to them so my first instinct was to call them... The lady on the phone kept over talking me & rushing to get off the phone and told me that you need to be a member & were not accepting anyone else... She wouldnt even let me finish! So long story short we drove 30-45 minutes onto Transit RD. to a vet in Amherst where we got MUCH more better/nicer service.The puppy is healthy & playing as we speak because of them!
I called this office among a few others looking for ideas of where to take my daughters new kitten for neutering and vaccines. I got a price quote and general guidelines for how old the kitten has to be ect. This was about two months ago. The girl was pleasant.So I called back today and encountered this very loud and rude woman who contraindicated all the previous information that I had been given. When I politely said that all the staff members should be given the same information so as to not confuse people this lady got even more rude. She snapped at me and said she did not think I would be a good fit there for the office and that the Dr wasnt taking any new patients.Well I curtly wished her a pleasant day and called another Veterinarian office that was quite pleasant to talk with...and little kitty has an appointment tomorrow morning.Oh well. Gerber Small Animal Hospitals loss and a more deserving offices gain...bye felicia!!!
I dont know where you unhappy folks went, but it couldnt have been Gerber Small Animal. I have had pets for over 50 years and I have never been treated as well as we have at Gerber. They are the best! Believe me.
Dr. Gerber and his Staff are the best. They are very caring and thourough and gentle with our dogs. I highly recommend Gerber Small Animal Hospital.
I called today to ask about getting my bunny fix and the lady on the phone was so rude! She told me that there was no chance they would do it because they werent taking any new patience but wasnt nice about it what so ever. I wouldve totally understood but you dont have to be so mean.
Dr Gerber is amazing! He is great at what he does and with the animals. I have been going there for years and its the same everytime.
Amazing staff and very friendly. They remember my dog every time he enters. They are normally busy but do their best to get as many appointments in as possible.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS VET -- WORST VETERINARIAN ON THE PLANET. You would be better off providing your pet medical care at home versus taking your beloved to this crook. He and the other woman vet there (the female version of Gerber, the cocky, snide, I will talk down to you counterpart of the practice) are both poor examples of what we call veterinarians. You will NEVER, EVER, walk out of there without paying $100-$300 every single visit. It doesnt matter if your pet is healthy, they will FIND things to charge you for. Ask anyone in the waiting room, he has the WORST PRICES and provides the WORST CARE. BE prepared to be charged an astronomical amount of money to tell you what you already knew.ALSO - IF YOU WANT TO PAY A VET TO ALLOW YOUR PET TO DIE IN YOUR ARMS OR FRONT OF YOU, GO TO THIS GUY. Oh, and he wont forget to let you know After your pet has died that the BILL IS IN THE MAIL. Meanwhile youre standing there, sobbing with your dead pet in your arms.If you care about the welfare of your pet, STEER CLEAR of this CROOK. Remember all of the poor innocent healthy animals that were EUTHANIZED for NO REASON at the Niagara County SPCA? Guess who the vet responsible for administering all of the injections? Dr. GERBER HIMSELF. Google it. Youll be SICK to your stomach for even considering him as an option.

2022-09-12I waited on the waitlist for close to a year because I heard such good things about Dr. Drapo, and was not disappointed. She was very knowledgeable and kind and provided a much more thorough examination for our dog than we’d received by our previous two vets. We feel very fortunate to have such a good vet for our care.

2022-09-10We have been patrons of Gerbers small animal hospital for more than 18 years. Ever since Dr. Gerber has retired the new owner has been extremely unprofessional and the quality of care has plummeted.About 2 months ago our 9 year old dog was having difficulty breathing. We called the office on a Monday for an emergency appointment and were turned away, stating they had no opening for our dog even during the week. We sought emergent care at another facility which prompted the staff to become rude towards us for going elsewhere. When our other dog started having issues and again we were turned away because they didnt have time, we were discharged for not trusting in the provider.I would highly recommend avoiding Gerber small animal hospital, as the owner has no regard for the pets she sees. Look elsewhere if you care about your pets.

2022-04-05Dr. Drapo and the staff and Gerber have been extremely helpful and great with our dog, Stu. Stu had an accident where he ate some rat poison, and they got him in immediately and took care of him all day. They clearly explained how we needed to feed and monitor him afterwards. I cannot thank them (and especially Cherie) for saving our pup and treating him so well. He loves his trips to the vet!

2022-07-15When Dr Gerber retired he took all the kindness and compassion with him. My poor dog was suffering and they turned him away. The girl on the phone was cold and rude. I’ll never go back to them again!

2022-04-05Boomer been going here since birth. Hes 14. Not everyone can handle him and this wonderful staff and his vet are wonderful with him. He has diabetes and they treat him good. He might not like lol but we do. They do everything they can to help. I wouldnt take my cat anywhere else or trust anyone else. Thank you for caring for a old soul.

2022-04-05My parents had their pets as patients here and now in my adult life Ive had my cats as patients here, too. They are wonderful and friendly, the staff really get to know the patients/pets and they care so much about them.

2022-02-17When doctor Gerber owned it was wonderful! New staff is not very friendly and the new doctor sent me an overnight letter on New Years Eve stating that she could not treat my dog anymore because I expressed displeasure with her services! Have no idea what she is talking about. She said the dog had allergies and she gave him pills which weren’t working. I asked her to give him a shot like my friends dog received. She did and it worked! Two months later I get the letter in the mail. Also asked what the black spots were on his belly and she said dirt and debris and gave me wipes to use! New vet states it’s pigmentation changes! Ok big difference! Also she wanted to do bloodwork on him for allergies which her technician said would cost 800.00! I refused as why bloodwork for allergies? She seemed nice and I never expressed displeasure with her services like she said! I miss Dr Gerber. Brought my pets to him for 35 years and never had a problem! He was kind and compassionate and really cared about the animals!!

2021-10-27This place is full of lying people same as the family associate with some of the employees. They told me they would fix my cat and I would receive him back. I called and spoke to the lady to see how my cat was doing and she proceeded to tell me my cat was doing better but then we asked what happens when he is better and she legit told me they were keeping him as a hospital cat because he’s so lovable and friendly. LIKE WHAT !!!! Ofc he is friendly and lovable he’s my cat and now I can’t get him back and he’s been separated from his brother who has been pacing through my house for 2 days now looking for him. Like this all just ridiculous and very unprofessional. I would never recommend this place to anyone
