Ive used this company three times now and never been disappointed. They are not only incredibly efficient and professional, they are also really nice and respectful (the concierge in my building was raving about them). I was moved from a studio apartment in Manhattan to a one-bedroom in Jersey City in a few hours, with everything intact. I continue to be impressed and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a mover.
I had a great experience with Get There Moving! Getting the quote was very straightforward and Ed patiently answered all my questions, and they were great value for my out of state move. On the day of the move, my movers Sean and Will were professional, communicative, and so careful with my belongings. They worked incredibly hard and remained in good spirits even with a brutally hot day and particularly bad traffic into the city. They made a stressful move less stressful and I would hire them again.
I truly hate moving. It stresses me out sooo much. Get There Moving has helped me move twice and seriously reduced the stress. Both times all the movers were incredibly efficient, friendly, and professional. The communication with the building managers was also so smooth. I recommend them to anyone who needs movers!
Travis, Luis, Eamon and Sean = SUPERSTARS.Theyre the team from Get There Moving that absolutely blew me away. They moved my wife and I out of our storage unit in Queens to our 6th floor walk up in Gramercy Park. Yes, 6th floor WALK UP. And this team not only did it with great pace, they did it with personality and grace.Theyre awesome guys, with a great sense of humor and great at their jobs. Not a scratch on anything, not a wall, not an item -- nada! Everything landed perfectly. Theyre about as professional and cool as you can get. I cant recommend this company enough - Ed will get right back to you and help you sort out the details - every step was pleasant and easy. No surprises with this crew, which if youre moving -- is very welcomed.I dont usually write reviews like this, but this team is next level. Dont think twice, call them.
Moved within Manhattan with these guys and they were absolutely the best experience I’ve ever had with a mover in NYC. Highlights:1. Easy setup. Arranging the move logistics, inventory, deposit, and insurance certificates was all very easy over email with Ed. They ask for a furniture inventory list and a rough estimate of boxes and bags, and then you send them a video walkthrough of your space to confirm. Everything was arranged in just a day or two for a move that was scheduled only a week in advance.2. Smooth moving day. On the day of the move, the movers were on time (actually early), professional, efficient, and friendly. They were easy to work with and flexible with all of the hiccups that always happen during a move. The elevator at the arrival building broke down during the move, and they were ready to go with everything unloaded from the truck as soon as it was working again. I was only given a tight time window to move by both buildings, and these guys got it done.3. No bogus charges. They charge a flat rate— no worrying about time. They were upfront about what they would charge for any inventory surprises, although the video walkthrough beforehand pretty much prevents that from happening.I would 100% recommend this company to anyone moving in NYC. I have moved in the city 5 times and I’ve had all the bad experiences. This was smooth sailing, and the guys were really nice, too.
Our experience with Get There Moving was excellent! They were accommodating, punctual and professional. Communication with Ed was quick and responsive. He was able to give me a flat-rate quote within 24 hours of sending a complete list of items. We moved from Long Island to Maryland, a huge move for us, Casey and his crew came right on time, they were friendly, funny and helped ease my anxiety (well some of it). They packed up the van with no issues and very efficiently. They met us the next day, right on time and unloaded the van so quickly, they are a great team! They even took their shoes off in the house (due to rain it was extremely wet) and assembled the beds for us. There were no issues with broken or damaged items! They really made our moving experience positive and I would definitely recommend this company.
My husband and I have used Get There Moving for the third time, and they did not disappoint. They are so courteous, punctual, and made moving day feel so relaxed. They arrived early, finished moving us early and even dis/re assembled our bigger pieces of furniture. We moved from a 2-bed to a 3-bed (both second floor walk-ups) and they made it look easy. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

I can’t tell you how happy we were with Get There Moving’s service. We had a big apartment to move: a 3br 4th-floor walk-up with oversized furniture, 100 boxes, and a lot of artwork and valuable antiques. These were handled well and with care, and Zach and his team of movers were thoughtful about how to deal with it all. They worked efficiently and quickly, given everything involved! Get There Moving came as a recommendation from a close friend, and I will in turn recommend them to others, and use them again if and when I move. If I could give Get There Moving 5 bonus stars - I would. They are, hands down, the best moving company I ever used!I used Get There Moving for a move out of a building that has a bunch of strict house rules. While the management office staff is wonderful- I needed to find reliable movers who could come within a very specific time frame, provide a COI, be trusted to only use the service elevator, and deal with a far-from-ideal parking situation.I was feeling extremely stressed, and Ed in the office patiently answered all of my questions and was very reassuring.My move itself couldnt have gone more smoothly! My wonderful movers, Chris and Patrick, arrived a few minutes early and I immediately knew I was in great hands. They organized and took down all of my stuff within less than 20 minutes (!!) and were able to fully complete the job ahead of schedule. Even my doorwoman couldnt believe how efficient they were.Chris and Patrick were polite, professional, friendly, and accommodating. They worked efficiently and carefully, and truly helped me stay relaxed (which is no small feat, in a move out of a NYC apartment). I truly couldnt have asked for better movers!I will definitely use Get There Moving for any future moves - and would highly recommend them to everyone!

Emit and Travis were amazing. Communicateive, reliable and professional. They came 5 min early to the appointed time, and none of my furnitures got a scratch during the move. Casey and his crew were excellent. Insanely efficient and were very cordial with the building staff. They even took some things that we didnt originally put in the quote. Weve used them for two moves in 4 years and will again for the next one.
This was the best experience moving in NYC that I could have hoped for. Travis, Jose, and Eli did a great job. All our furniture was protected and taken apart and reassembled perfectly and as quickly as possible. They are nice and pleasant people, all of which helped make the move easier.

We were super pleased with the move from Brooklyn to the Bronx. The crew moved quickly and carefully and the price quoted was the price we paid, no shenanigans or extra fees. Overall we were really well taken care of and would recommend them (and have already) to others looking to make local moves in the NYC area.
If you need a friendly team that knows what they are doing, then this is the way to go. They were on time, protected all my furniture and were gentle with my items. Overall excellent service. If I need to move again I wont think it twice about contacting them. Kudos!

2022-08-07This was the third time I’ve used GTM, and it was the best move yet! The guys were very efficient and got the job done quickly. Aside from that, they were personable, helpful, and flexible. Communicating with Ed was seamless and he was understanding when I forgot to include several items that were in storage. Incredible value for quality movers. Would recommend to anyone in the NYC area, use these guys!

2022-08-17I had a great experience with them and would highly recommend. They were able to help me on fairly short notice with a last-minute delivery. I had a slight issue the morning of my move because the freight elevator was unavailable, but they didnt mention the update and were super helpful accommodating the change. Thank you!

2022-05-17Best movers Ive ever used: nothing scratched or marred or dropped (no floor marks); they were quick, strong, patient with changes, good listeners as to what I wanted, on time despite a water main break on my block necessitating parking around the corner and bad traffic. Uncomplaining about the slow traffic to one of my stops; and an added stop when I decided I needed to put some items in a storage facility. I cant say enough good things. (My particular workers were Travis and Sean; what a team!!!!)

2021-05-25Excellent, excellent moving service. They are meticulous and VERY smart. Its obvious that all the workers are treated well, enjoy their work, and take a lot of care. Definitely not just people who will throw stuff into a truck and bang all your fragile things up and down the stairs. I would never move with any other company. These guys are total pros!
