The store is clean and has a good selection with competitive prices and usually beat most prices. Some of the employees are very helpful and courteous while others are just plowing through the day.
I like the pleasant staff. Your people really do make a difference 😁.I think there should be a policy for customers that come to the store under the influence of drugs or alcohol that cause a disturbance in the store making some people uncomfortable.My area of concern/complaint is the cleanliness of a few areas in the store that should be addressed.The first one being...when I walk into the store thru the front door, theres an unpleasant odor that I believe comes from the coolers that display foods everyday. I think having a positive and clean welcoming area for customers is important.Second...in the prepared foods area coolers, to the left of the ladies room, theres old food or spills on the shelves that looks unclean.I look forward to continue visiting the store. Overall its a nice place to shop at.

Good store, have both generic and name brand products. There doughnuts are great here. They have a good meat dept, although it can be a bit pricy sometimes. Best to wait for there sales, if possible.

Nice store...but the produce needs big help...there was a rotten avocado & no decent greens...green beans & brussel sprouts looked horrible 😫...dont these things get checked at least daily ? Just WOW !! PLEASE improve !! Just moved to the area permanently & are hoping for better !! Haters will be ignored FYI...
Every time we order subs they get it wrong. I cant understand when you write it down what a customer wants yet you still get it wrong. My sub went in the trash. Was full of hot pepper sauce. Never requested it. Need to stand over them when they make you subs.
The store is nice. they have meat, chips, drinks, cookie, turkey (only on thankgiving)and other stuff that you need. they also have some dessert & healthy vegetables.

Great food clean place
Overall the store is clean and neat. Some of the overhead isle signs need to be updated. Meaning, what the sign says is not what is in that isle. Be careful of meat sales. Check the expiration date. I bought a family pack of 80% ground beef. Good thing I was using the meat today. The expiration date was tomorrow 2-23-20. Also, the meat was a combination of new ground mixed with old. Many meat departments use this technique to sell old stock so they dont have to throw it out and lose money. My point is be careful and check date codes.
My favorite store in Allegany County, NY! Try their ugly steaks or their chicken wing pizza in the deli...their deli also prepares fried chicken for take-out orders that not only rivals but outshines the Colonels Chicken hands down!! Very clean store & wonderful staff ...cant find what you need? Ask anyone! Their sister store in Cuba,NY is also highly recommended!!

I was here recently as the customer directly ahead of me in line proceeded to buy an alcoholic beverage and nor get carded or so much as asked for a birthday, much less get asked anything else. Nope, the cashier just took his money and gave him his alcohol. Way to totally ignore the law. Took 2 stars away from them for that.
I went there for some deli meats.. and walked out with a hand basket full of stuff.. just because of the deals I couldnt walk away from 🤗🤜🤛
I have shopped Giant for 30 years. They made consistent upgrades to keep the store modern and they have great meat sales and their produce is nice. As a matter of fact I bought bananas there today for .37¢ a pound.
New items seem to be getting put out from bakery
We do a lot of shopping here. The store is good the workers are friendly and their food are delicious especially the subs and doughnuts.
I never set foot in the store, but the front end manager, Dustin White, helped me out with a pretty complex gift card situation over the phone. He listened and took care of the problem, which I appreciate because, given the distance between me and the store, he probably could have just shrugged it off. Well done.

I have been shopping at Giant in Wellsville NY for the past 6 years. Ive always worked evenings so after my shift I like to be able to grab a few items from our local food mart. Unfortunately one manager in particular always seems to be just so pleasant making sure to inform fellow shoppers, We close in 5 minutes, regardless your still obligated to remain open for paying customers and returning patrons as the store hours are posted unless listed other wise.You need a new manager that doesnt turn customers away or make the younger generation cry on Christmas Eve because the store closes in 5minutes.What kind of customer service is that? I truely hope someone does not treat you with the same kindness as you have to us who contributes to making sure you have a weekly pay check.- MG Perham
For a small town grocery store trying to compete with Tops, locally and Wegmans, they are doing a pretty good job. Their meats seem to be cheaper and of good quality. There are things I cant find anywhere else, except for Giant. So, because the staff work hard and are always helpful and because they are fighting big box grocery stores, I give them 4 stars. It would be 5 if some of their prices were better. Amish rolled butter is $9.50 everywhere else but $13.95 at Giant. Still, they have items that are much lower too.
Really nice place with a small community feel. The only downfall of this locally owned businesses is that they dont have all the products and selections as that of say Tops or Wegmans. But Giant is slowly but surely expanding its stock to include more diverse options and products.
My favorite place, my ancestors came from this area and they have the best doughnuts ever.

Good selection and very helpful staff. I went in to buy a couple of items for our camp site. I wasnt able to find one item and the cashier actually closed her station and walked me right over to it.
Very rude employees! My wife returned empty cans and bottles tonight and was treated horribly. The head cashier berated her for having too many cans to return which there is no limit posted anywhere. She then proceeded to call the manager and another employee over and started making jokes and rude comments. Which included how they took pictures of the Andover church returns and wanted to post them online. Very inappropriate and unprofessional. Weve been going to Giant all our life. It will be hard to return knowing the criticism we may receive...all over some bottles. Dissatisfied and disappointed.

Well, its small, its locally owned, in towne store for people who dont drive or dont like Tops market. The owners of this store also own a store in Cuba NY. They have good deals but only every once in awhile. Expensive on their meats and dairy. Their on sale chicken breast are very large and to me, I cant say for sure but, I suspect injected with water. Since Im no inspector or pro on the matter, dont take my word as being true. Try it yourself and you be the judge. They do however have exellent sausage they make themselves.
Wonderful local and well-stocked grocery store conveniently located in downtown Wellsville. The place to go especially for fresh meats, and shopping the sales.

A quick shopping trip while camping in the area. I got everything that I needed. Easy to see from the main road, a little tricky getting to the store being unfamiliar with the area. We figured it out. Friendly and courteous staff.

Chaotic with so many stocking carts and people just standing around its nearly impossible to get everything you need before you get so frustrated that you just leave. Although they do have a good selection of meat with good sales.

Out of the two grocery stores in Wellsville, Giant is probably my favorite. Even though its not as polished on the inside as the other, prices seem more fair and the meat selection is very sufficient. Combine that with a very good deli operation (pizza and wings are awesome.) and its a good one stop shop if you live closer to Wellsville than Hornell.
Produce Department has improved tremendously. I have been disappointed in the past, bagged oranges and such spoiled on display.mAybe they will the bad now.
Very expensive, that is why we shop in Hornell. We are not the only people tho. If Wellsville wants to keep people shopping here they need to lower there prices, otherwise we go out of town to another county

2022-05-01I have never seen subs so poorly assembled. We decided to try our first subs from Giants deli, ordered a turkey and a chicken tender sub. Easy enough to make we thought. My turkey sub came with the paper rolled into the inards of the sub, never once have I seen that anywhere else I have ever gone. My fiances chicken tender sub was hard he took one bite (or attempeted to) and threw it out. Absolutely disgusting and if I could give 0 stars I would.

2021-06-17I love Giant’s selection. Their produce, deli, meats, etc. are all consistently fresh. I often see great sale deals. Employees are kind and helpful. Recently, I’ve seen price increases that tend to send me looking at other stores, which is the only reason I’d give them a 4/5 rating.

2021-10-09This store is the most expensive in town. The quality of food is questionable, and many things are out of date... produce is questionable at best! The lights they have in the produce section hids the bad quality of the vegetables. Some of the lettuce is so bad that there is no hiding it!One of the store managers reeks of alcohol... I personally avoid this place at all costs... this used to be one of my favorite grocery stores... Ive always preferred to purchase from a store that is locally owned, but not this one... Cuba Giant is WAY better!
