I ran into car problems on my way to wirk6 at 3am. Called the garage later that morning & was able to bring it in later that day for an estimate. Promptly received a call with estimated costs and timeline for repair. They were able to coordinate ordering parts and completing repair ahead of anticipated time due. Communication is the key to their success and Gils Garage has consistently delivered beyond my expectation.
I had a great experience at Gil’s in Clifton Park. I had booked an appointment for new tires at the Burnt Hills location by mistake and left my keys in the drop box in Clifton Park.Gil’s recognized my error, picked up my tires in Burnt Hills, and had my car ready the same day.Great customer service!
Keith was very nice and informative and gave me options to reach my goals as cost effective as possible. Jeff M the tech is very knowledgeable and professional and did a great job fast. My brakes never worked as good as they do now that they repaired them. I had a great experience all the way through. A++.
BEWARE!!!! I paid Gils nearly $1,000 to repair my A/C and it stopped working within 3 weeks. When I took it back, they quoted me $1,500 to fix it. I took it to get a second opinion, and was charged $150 and told the last person to work on my car installed the part wrong. It works perfectly now that I took it to a trustworthy place.
The diagnostic tool with the text message alert and the link to the pictures was extremely helpful and proved that they were doing their due diligence. Communication throughout was awesome and the price was fair. I was not up sold on anything and will definitely be giving them my business in the future.
Brought wifes car in because it wouldnt start no battery, they where up front checked all the electrical charging systems and determined it was junk battery, cost was good . People where very pleasant and honest. This is third time using Gils. So we are return customers for the last year.
The staff was very polite and professional and had a sense of humor, which is important to me. They were very honest and upfront about the issues with my car and called before doing any repairs. AJ was very thorough when talking to me, explaining everything that needed to be done. I plan to use Gils garage as my future mechanic for any car or have.
It seems that with each passing year businesses are less and less personal with the quality of service decreasing right with it. At Gil’s I feel confident that my car will be properly cared for. My thoughts were reinforced during my most recent visit - in which it was evident that this is not a business but a family that cares and takes pride in doing things right.
They are very professional and they do a great job! My car is running great and thanks to them for noticing the leave clog in carburetor and telling me to now use moth balls to hopefully relieve me of the squirrels 🐿 and mice 🐁 problem. Theses pest are a pain for my car and I’ll try anything to stop them from using my car as a warm car home!Again thanks Gil’s Garage and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
As long as Gils stays in Halfmoon I will continue to go there. The only reason I have not been there I. The last two years was because of free maintenance from Toyota. After being duped (shorter than advised of my free service) and being charged $249 for an oil change and tire rotations, never again.I used the drop off appointment when I dropped it off the young lady at the counter after I asked for a rough ti e it would be done said later in The afternoon, truck was ready by 1 pm, much earlier than I had expected. Thank you Gils you have a customer for life!!!!
Paul, who is the owner at this garage, contacted me in regards to a poor review that I had left previously. He worked professionally with me through all the questions and problems that I had mentioned in my review, and we came to a mutual understanding in the end. He was extremely transparent with me about why I had the issues that I did and how he went about looking into the issues and resolving them. Paul is an extremely honest guy and will always work with you if you are having any issues with the service you received!
My wife picked up a mail in her tire, the team at Gil’s were quick to help me out on a Saturday afternoon right before closing by their willingness to inspect and plug the tire on the spot. Other local tire stores told me they couldn’t get to it until Wednesday. Thank you AJ and team for your kind help.
I have been going to Gils in Clifton Park since they opened that location. The staff are courteous, friendly and most of them know my name. They never try to sell you parts and services that you do not need. They will give you the status of your brake or tire life expectancy, or if you will be needing some type of part of service soon. If they detect there is an upcoming need for service or parts, they do not try to scare you into having work done. They will not tell you that your tires will blow off and your vehicle is going to implode when youre driving on the highway, unless of course thats actually going to happen then youll definitely get a warning. You may just want to buy a new car in that case.
Gils Garage was amazing! Right before leaving for a long distance road trip, I discovered I needed a new muffler. The quote from the shop I normally use seemed too high, so I called Gils. They told me it should cost a fraction of what I was quoted. They were able to fit me in the day before I left for my trip, even though they were booked up to the end of that week (I was so upset at being told the muffler might fall off during the trip, so Keira at Gills fit me in. Amazing!). The staff is super friendly, the facility is incredibly clean and the work is professional. I will be using Gils Garage for my future service needs on my car.
My car got a problem with the alternator and the truck towed my car from highway I-87 to Gils Garage Clifton Park, which is nearest my home. It happened on Sunday but this garage has a key box and note which are used after working hours. I left my car there then Monday, they started to look after it and promised service on the Wednesday. The car now is running good with 24,000 miles or 2 years warranty by written invoice.I also appreciated their service in professional, on time...etc and they communicated with my father who is English is only his second language with patience and kindness. I confidently recommend their service to everyone, my co-worker and my community center especially.
I was so happy when Gils came to Halfmoon. I started using their service right after they opened. They always provide very good and very reliable work. One of my neighbors says. The same. Keith and John and all the staff are wife approved. And she usually will not deal with car issues. She likes Gils.
I scheduled an appointment to have the front end of my truck looked at due to excessive wear I had on my front tires. I had the technician look at the front struts, wheel bearings and alignment. The problem ended up that the tires that I had installed at a tire shop last year were not rated for my truck. It was explained to me that due to its “ heavy gauge rubber “ and my truck being of light duty that the tread was wearing excessively down the center.I will be scheduling a time in the early months of next year to have your people replace my tires with a recommended tire more suitable for the truck.I am very happy with the professionalism that was shown to me and will be making Gils my garage !!!
Satisfied Customer !I initially went to Gils for new brakes and an oil change. It took longer than expected and I left unhappy. The owner, Paul, reached out to me the following day and couldnt have been more apologetic, understanding, and helpful. He investigated my complaints and called me back with an offer to help in the future. I since went back and had snow tires put on my car. When I picked my car up Paul, the owner, was there and took time to speak with me again offering apologies for my previous experience. I cannot say enough about his commitment to customer service, professionalism, and sincerity. Thank you Paul I would recommend your garage to anyone looking!!! Always recommend this place and have great things to say about it. The staff explains things to me in a way I can understand and they give you options for things like tires unlike a dealership where you get what they have and dont have a say in the price or quality. This is the only car repair place Ive been in my lifetime that I feel like I can always trust the staff to be honest and reliable. I can usually get an appointment pretty quickly too, and you can drop your car off the night before.
Had a Service Engine Soon light to be diagnosed that became a wiring issue due to mice chewing. Also had a fuel filter change. Gils repaired the unplanned wiring and completed the filter change with in a couple hours for me. Professional service on the vehicle as well as their customer interaction. Not the first time Ive been there and certainly will not be the last.
Gil’s team did an outstanding job on my vehicle. I had my vehicle towed there for repairs to my transmission lines and cooler. They thoroughly explained what was needed to be done. Explained their recommendations to me in understandable terms. They did not try to pad the bill or up sell me unnecessary work. Even though I know there are a few issues that should be addressed in the future. And for that I will be taking my vehicle(s) there for all future work. There prices are reasonable, quality of work and service very professional, timeliness of the repairs impressive, and the overall experience I had with their staff made me feel like I mattered and I wasn’t inconveniencing their work load. I say thank you to the Gil’s Team you now have a new customer that will strongly recommend your services.
I have had many vehicles serviced at Gil’s Garage for 35 years plus, I actually knew Gil and worked with his brother. This family owned business is top notch in professionalism and integrity, they WILL NOT misrepresent the repair needs of your vehicle whether it be an SUV, Pickup Truck, Sports Car, or a youngster’s starter vehicle. I have recommended this quality repair shop to many relatives and friends with no one experiencing any disappointment in their repair experiences. Gil’s technicians are highly trained in the latest computer technology and the complexities of all automotive electronics. Do yourself a favor and trust your repair to this quality repair shop.
I had them check the brakes to see if they needed replacing. This is the second time the car was in for this process. The brakes are still okay and they recommended me waiting longer before I replace them. Im glad I dont have to pay the money for new brakes if the old ones are still okay.
Gils really knows their stuff! No matter the year of your vehicle, they do fantastic work thats done right the first time. It feels great knowing the repairs are rock-solid. They explain everything perfectly, and I always learn more from talking with them. I feel very good having mechanical work done here. Theyve helped my family and neighbors for years. Gils is the best!
I brought my car in for Friday 7/16 due to a check engine light that keeps coming on and off. After waiting all day..I was told that they couldn’t get a code from my car n if the check engine light came back on to bring the car back in n was charge $72. Well 10 mins after I picked up my car n started driving home guess what… The check engine light comes back on and my car feels like it has Tourette’s.I also had my windshield wipers replaced about $50. And they Roll and stutter not smooth as they were before. All and all highly disappointed with the service I received for a highly recommended business n will NOT continue doing business with them.WALMART would have done a better job.
2006 Nissan Frontier - Check engine light was on and was told at a different garage it was a bad O2 sensor. I replaced the sensor and a code came on for a different O2 sensor and i replaced that one and the same code came on. I brought the truck to Fucillo Nissan and they told me the Bosche sensors i put in were not OEM even tho they are and that my exhaust needed to be replaced for $5000. Brought it to ÷ and showed the scanner print out for the code from Autozone and AJ at Gils service desk told me its nothing with the exhaust its electrical. So i had them look at my truck and he called me back to tell me the O2 sensors were fine and that it needed an adaptive relearn for the computer and figured out the computer is giving the problem with the check engine light coming back on so they passed it on the inspection before the light came back on again. Thank you for your honesty and your much appreciated help.
They did a diagnostic on my nephews car - very honest about the sad prognosis of his car. I asked the mechanic straight out - if this was your kid would you want them driving this car? He said NO. So that was it! We asked if they could scrap the vehicle in exchange for the bill for the diagnostic. Just got an email from Keith (who works at Gils) 4 days ago that said, Hi Daniela, We have an excess of $229.20 (after payment of diagnosis) from scrapping Brandon’s car that we owe your family. Please let us know when you can stop by and we’ll have a check ready for you. Keith
I brought my 11 year old Honda Accord in because it an failed inspection test. The emergency brake needed adjusting. So I expected the adjustment plus the inspection. When I returned for the vehicle, they handed me a bill for just over $1000. They have done a lot of work replacing brakes and tending to the emergency brake. I didn’t specify they should call me, if other work needed to be done, but considering what the car was therefore, I feel a call should have been made before doing all that costly work. I probably wouldn’t Recommend them or bring my vehicle in there again.I’d like to amend my review of Gils garage. The owner was good enough to call me, and address my complaint. He explained to me that replacing the back brake system was necessary, the emergency brake was rusted, and needed replacement, along with the brakes. It was a matter of miscommunication between us. He assured me they always get permission, before doing the work. I will bring my vehicle there, next time I have a problem. They obviously care very much about their work.
Six stars out of five. I’m serious. They have earned my trust with my car at both locations. They hand-torque my lug nuts instead of hitting them with an air wrench. My service items have been far from the easy “gravy” items, and the service writers have shown time and again that they can do the right thing. Their technicians also have a wide knowledge and are willing to learn more. Rates are reasonable, substantially less than the main dealer, maybe a bit more than some other places because they don’t cut corners or compromise on safety. I am willing to pay for excellent service, which I get at Gil’s. I am not willing to throw my money away at the dealer. The best of both worlds is here.
The staff is very courteous and do a thorough job. If there is anything else that my vehicle needs addressing whether its an issue that can be addressed in the near future or something that needs attention right away, you can always count on staff to alert you. They do great work-quality second to none. What can you say about a company that makes safety first--Great Priority!Excellent service as always! It is so refreshing to walk into a car shop where the customers best interests is front and center. The work is second to none; I would recommend Gils Garage in a heart beat!
This place or service would definitely get zero ratings and people at front desk/ on phones are very unprofessional and this Conceitedness is because of the large amount of costumers. They don’t even know to to copy and paste a email address and get organized .I know more than 200 families around and I wouldn’t recommend them this place at all. Specially because of the rudeness and haughtiness.
Gils Garage is hands down the most caring and honest Auto Repair Shop. I recently had my car serviced and they went above and beyond. Not only did they rent a car for me but they gave me an amazing discount and didnt even charge for a few other things. Words cannot even describe how thankful I am to Gils Garage and all the phenomenal people that work there. I would recommend the team at Gils for anyone requiring work to their vehicle. They were very responsive, kept me updated and the services performed were very good. It is difficult to find a shop that can meet your needs, especially with an older classic car. Im happy that I tried them out and will rely on them for future needs.
Ive taken my vehicles to many repair shops in years past and this is by far the best. I dont trust anyone but gils garage to service and repair my vehicles and Ill always recommend them to my friends. Theyre a very busy shop, so i recommend calling ahead, but its worth the wait. Ive always dealt with friendly service reps and mechanics and thats hard to come by in most cases when dealing with garages. Special thanks to Keith for always being a patient friendly and knowledgeable guy to talk to about my services. Gils garage will ALWAYS have my business.
Clutch went, asked them if they could fit it in within the next day, our only car, said they could over phone, had car towed there. Left it for days before they called to confirm it was the clutch, and that they would need to order parts! Fast forward three years and clutch goes again, expensive, didnt last anywhere near what a clutch should. So many reasons I would not use again nor recommend.UPDATE: Maybe it was four years, still unhappy with the poor service at the time, made it clear back then, 3 or 4 years is not good for a brand new clutch! Fast, cheap, or good - they say you can only have two but I feel like I didnt even get one (at the time I had hoped for good, knew I didnt get the other two).My tips for the future: be up front on how busy you are, and whether you will have to leave it sat in your parking lot for 3+ days. When asked why it is taking so long dont condescendingly tell me what it is like in the north I just want an honest update on the timeline. I was willing to pay for fast and good, but you will note I chose not to return predominantly due to how I was talked to and the slowness. To have it go again so soon when I have been driving stick for 22 years doesnt bode well. If you want to split hairs on 3 or 4 years or mileage it also doesnt make me feel like things have improved. This is my honest review, with updates based on your response here and a call my wife took while I was out of town. I think in this case you honestly deserve one star, and hope that others receive better service from your company in the future. I am not coming back, hope you might improve for others, and dont feel that my review was unfair. I was thoroughly disappointed with many aspects of the repair.
Read good reviews. Gave them a try hoping they would become our families go to place. Im one and done. They passed the cars inspection after changing a right marker light. 2 days later they perform other service on car. When I pick it up that night the right headlight was out. They said things happen its a coincidence. Ah, I dont think so! What are those odds, one in one thousand at best. Its not so much the $30 they charged to replace what they broke as much as the integrity. Only get one shot at that.UPDATE: I appreciated that Paul (part owner) reached out and offered to refund $ for lightbulb replacement. We still disagree on when this happened.
Im new to this area and had no idea where to go, saw good reviews about Gils and gave it a shot. Entire team was very professional and upfront about costs, they sent me a link with photos of my car and all the parts that needed work, which made me feel very confident that I wasnt getting fleeced. I appreciate the honesty and willingness to work on what I needed without going overboard. I will be going back again for any future work, thank you for being open and available during these trying times!
I think that you would be hard pressed to find an auto repair shop run as honestly and effectively as Gils Garage. I have had my fair share of negative experiences with a variety of mechanics and I can confidently say that the employees at Gils make it a point to do honest, high-quality work.While many auto body repair shops operate on a flat-rate system, paying their technicians only when there is work to be done, Gils pays their employees a salary regardless of whether or not they find anything wrong with your vehicle. This ensures that they do not unnecessarily look for work to perform.I dropped my car off to have a wheel bearing replaced, as well as rear shocks and a new set of tires. The work was completed promptly and at a fair price. I did have a minor incident when I picked up the car and I was able to work with the owner, Paul, to resolve the issue. I do not have enough good things to say about Paul. He is a value driven man that recognizes the importance of building a relationship with his customers.When my car needed additional work beyond what we had discussed originally, he was willing to defray part of the costs of the repair because he and I both felt that it was an issue that should have been detected initially. In all of my years of owning a vehicle I have never had an auto repair shop take that stance, regardless of whether or not they were at fault.
I moved to the area 6 months ago and have been nervous about finding a new mechanic. After research online I called Gils. They were able to look at my car the next morning. They called me back in an hour letting me know that they were done. They also let me know about a different issue that was covered manufacture warranty. When I dropped off and picked up my car the people at the front desk were very nice and friendly. I am so glad that I now have a garage to go to in my area.
Brought my Saab 93 here after three car repair chains aligned my front end and rotated my tires and the car still shook and steered left. This garage figured out what it was.. After telling me my alignment was spot on I was confused so they checked again and then put it on the lift and inspected my car further. They found I had severely camber worn tires and when they were rotated caused my alignment issues. They were fast, EXTREMELY honest, professional and polite. And when I got the bill I was shocked I had thought they forgot to bill me for something. Would definitely recommend based on the service I received today.
Gila Garage in Halfmoon is excellent! Ive been going there for 2 years and their service is outstanding. From the exceptional customer service, to the remarkable, cleanliness of the facility. Keira and the owner Paul, go out of their way to explain your repairs in an easy and understanding manner and make your overall experience Pleasant and comfortable. I have an older car and they have kept it running with minimal expense. I cant recommend this place enough.
These guys are the best. Been going to them since I could drive for any and all things. My Dad turned me onto them, and his standards are high like mine. Wish theyd follow me around to all the cities Ive lived in..for now just have to see them when I come home to CP. Thanks Gils crew! You guys are the best.
Great reputable place to go and get your vehicle fix the first time. I came in to the shop, concerned I was going to have to spend hundreds of dollars. They dedicated a significant amount time diagnosing and fixing the problem. But, most importantly, I spent a reasonable amount of money. First time I go into an auto repair shop and walked out happy.
This last repair at Gil’s illustrates why I have been a customer for over 20 years! The estimates ranged from $700 - $950 and Tom at Gil’s Halfmoon completed the work for just over $500. Had I gone to another shop, the work never comes in under the estimate. Never! Kudos to Tom and Gil’s and thanks again for a job well done.
Gils is great! I am new to the area and when I bought my car off craigslist I brought it into Gils for a look over. They referred me to Govels for repair, a shop I also had a great experience with. They provide genuine and quality customer service. When I needed another car inspected they gave the most thorough report, including images and comments. They worked with us to try and match our budget while making sure we knew what would be the safest/best option. You can trust them!
I took my car to get a NYS inspection. I was called later and was told my break light was out and that they would replace it for $20. I said no thanks because I was confident I could replace the light-bulb myself. When I took the car home I tested the break lights and saw that they worked properly. I find it very dishonest and shameful that Gils Garage lied to me.
What a pleasure to deal with customer service people who are kind and fair! The service estimate was less than I expected based on websites that give a price range for services. And THEN, the final cost was $100 less than the estimate! On top of that, the tech clearly knew his stuff. He was kind - even when I tried to give advice ;-)
Took two plus weeks for a brake job. Very friendly, but why should I have to call you? I gave two stars because it was good work and the team was nice, but sorry to say I will not be bringing my cars there in the future. Just took way too long with not enough communication.
Where to get my tie rods rotated and sure enough the car is driving down the road during to the right. Had to bring it over to Adirondack and they were able to realign it properly was quite surprised. Dropped here my bearings and this is what I get. Not be returning sometime soon. Next time you should check my muffler fluid it be slow too.
Was pleased with my first time experience meeting with Paul the owner, John the service representative and Austin a very knowledgeable mechanic made visit pleasant with a very clean waiting room quick service and extremely helpful place that I will definitely go back to for my Automotive needs, thanks again for fixing and servicing my vehicle.
I normally don’t post reviews but this one deserves it. I bring my truck here regularly for problems because the customer service and honesty, the last 2 times I went I felt like the things they fixed werent what was wrong and the last time I left the shop and went a mile and the problem was back. I was furious. I brought it back and Keith who I always talk to there went the extra yard and fixed my truck and paid attention to every detail to try and figure out what was wrong, he had it for over a week and I didn’t care cause everyday he called me with updates to tell me what was going in. It wasn’t the easiest work they’ve had to do that’s for sure. It was The best experience by far and they definitely like to satisfy there customers to keep them coming around. I would like to thank Keith and the workers for figuring out my truck problem and not giving up and saying oh it’s fixed here you go and then have the problems. They have a lifetime customer for repairs with me because of this one experience! Awesome service! Its nice to have a place that knows my truck like they do cause they always work on it. And I love what they’ve done for me and my family with this one experience and I can’t thank Keith enough!
I had a loud noise coming from the right front of my vehicle that was getting progressively worse. Gil’s diagnosed that the upper engine motor mount was broken & replaced it ASAP! The lower engine motor mounts also needed replacement & Keith was able to order those for me & they were installed on another visit the following week. Now my car purrs like it should! I appreciated the efficient service & the courtesy rides back & forth that Gil’s provided.
I found Gils Garage shortly after returning to the Capital Region, and I have no intention of ever doing business anywhere else. The staff have been nothing but extremely informative going out of their way to research the specific needs of my vehicle. More importantly, they are honest and transparent. Recently, I visited Gils for a transmission flush. As my vehicle requires a distinct fluid brand, the service required special ordering, and unfortunately, a more expensive bill due to the fluids cost. After enjoying the free coffee and WiFi in the waiting room, it was my turn to checkout. I was pleasantly surprised to see the bill was $25 less than what I was previously told when making my appointment. I discovered that the service required less fluid and I was credited the difference. While this may seem obvious, I have dealt with enough garages to not take their honestly for granted. Moreover, I was also offered a discount coupon I was unaware existed, which saved me an additional $20. I love this place.
The price for a timing chain repair was quoted at $500 over what the actual Honda dealership will charge.I saw the response and this is not true. Quote for timing chain, tensioner, guides, and solenoid was $1,500 ‐ $1,800.Keeler Honda the above and more for $1,245.94. First time I ever saved money by going to the dealer!
Dont know what to tell you. When here to get the works package with my front tires rotated with my ball joints. Now my car uncontrollably swerving in and out of lanes. I dont think its me. Someone must have been absent on lug nut day because my car was missing one. They call themselves technicians yet when my car got dropped off my rocker panel hanging low. I dont know what Im going to do to Durant my hood but now Im waiting to see. Best service was when I got my oil changed they put in 10W30 my car started rapping like a watermelon.
I have a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus disabled since last Thanksgiving and had 3 other mechanics looked at it and charged me for the wrong things for it! Took it to Gils Garage and they took me step by step with it what they found and repaired it the right way!! If there were 10 stars they would have it from me. Total professional and accurate treatment from the first day! A little bit of pricey but it was worth every penny!
My boyfriends aunt and uncle go here and recommended me to go here to get my car fixed. So I went to get a transmission switch fixed and fluid changed. I dropped it off Sunday night than by Monday afternoon they let me know what was wrong had to order a part than by Tuesday my car was ready to be picked up! Than the later that day I decided to attempt to refill my own AC which Im never gonna do again because I overcharged it. So I went back to them Wednesday and the mechanic who fixed my car the day before came outside and looked at my AC and said it was either overcharged or broken he couldnt tell til he looked at it closely. He was really friendly and went through it all with me! Than Keith said I could leave my car there Wednesday than by the next day it was ready to be picked up! Thankfully I only overcharged it and it wasnt broken! You guys are really nice and reasonable I feel like other shops would of overcharged me just to drain my AC and recharge it for me! So glad you guys are 5 min away and do amazing work! Definitely going back to you guys whenever another issue comes up!
Gil’s is a great garage. They are always incredibly honest about what you do AND do NOT need to do. They are not looking to find things wrong so they can charge you money. The biggest downside is that they are always busy and sometimes you can’t get an appointment soon enough or you end up doing drop off and losing your car for an entire day.
Brought my car in for an inspection and oil change. Turned out there was a problem with the breaks and they explained everything, gave a recommendation to replace the breaks and asked me if what I wanted to do. I told them to go ahead and the job was done well and quickly. Their waiting room is a clear example of how customer focused they are. I strongly recommend Gils Garage and hope other auto repair outfits will follow their example

Gils has always gone above and beyond for me but my last service was even beyond my previous experiences. On my truck when rotating my tires they found three cracked Michelin tires and they did not want me traveling on them since I have a camper that sits in its bed.They first contacted my Chevy dealer who did not want to pursue my replacements. Tom and Keith did not give up and contacted Michelin directly and I ended up paying $42.00 per tire for replacement. That was a real deal in a $281.00 tire. If you want a truly reliable garage who goes the extra mile for you, you need to go to Gils. You wont be sorry.
The Gils gang is GREAT, from the 1st to last phone call. The service and diagnostics are spelled out in full detail. The location is great HALFMOON, the facility is state if the art. Followup to ensure satisfaction is the finishing touch..Warranty is explained and workmanship has been 2nd to none since my first experience ..Recommend to call ahead , good service is hard to find, so schedule early and plan accordingly.

2022-06-10Needed a new garage and figured Id try out Gils. Great decision!! Over a few weeks, I had three cars in for routine maintenance and inspections. The people there were helpful and took the time to explain everything that was done and potential work (tires and brakes) that may be needed in the future - no selling to have the work done now or adding on unnecessary work. The waiting area (if you arent dropping off) was clean and comfortable. Finding a new mechanic is never an easy task, but Im very pleased with the decision to use Gils. Definitely recommend!!!

2022-06-13I recently went to Gils Garage for a minor repair on my car. When I picked it up, I immediately noticed that something wasnt right so I took it back to the garage. The team there admitted that they made a mistake on the repair and I got a call from the owner apologizing for their mistake with him offering to help make things right.They easily couldve denied that it was their fault and given me (a non-mechanic) some story about how they did the repair right but something else was wrong with the car. However, they did not do that. They took accountability for their mistake, which was very refreshing to see.Because of this, Gils Garage has earned my trust and recommendation! I have full confidence that they only bill you for the service you need and that they will not take advantage of their customer.

2022-06-23Great work and honest workers! Theyve saved me hundreds over the years, my dealership makes up repairs to try and squeeze me forcash and Gils doesnt take the easy dishonest buck, they tell me Ive been had and send me on my way. They have my business for life!

2022-04-18AJ who i spoke with and dealt with was a very polite straight to the point no nonsense individual. The technicians found the issue and auxiliary issues stemming from them main problem. They had the vehicle repaired in a timely manner for less than what I was originally quoted. Vehicle running better now than at any other time of owning it satisfied to say the least.

This was absolutely hands down the best experience Ive ever had with an automotive garage. I will only be using Gils for my automotive needs from here on out. I HIGHLY recommend Gils to all.

2022-04-07Once again, Gils gave excellent service. I had a leak in one of my tires, tire was fine but the seal on the aluminum rim was oxidized and the seal was broken. Area cleaned and resealed. Honest and so professional. Thank you for your great customer service!

2022-04-12I originally has a very bad experience my first time around however Paul and the entire Gils Garage team have turned the entire experience around. They fixed the error free of charge then Paul is continuing to check up on me after the repair to see how the car is running and working. They are very professional and they make you feel like you are a friend of theirs with their personal relationships that they create with their customers. Definitely will be going back again. I am happy to say they are my mechanics.

AWESOME from the get go.From customer service explaining issue to the feeling of professionalism.Able to accommodate a change in plans when primary car suddenly had issues.. so i asked to use the apt. that was set aside for secondary car.... permitted change w no problem.Very professional....and articulate. I would HIGHLY recomend Gils to anyone in need of auto repairs!!!!
