Today we ordered lunch from Ginos Pizzeria 214 Portion Rd. Words cannot describe how horrible the meatballs were. BREAD nothing but BREAD. Disgusting. Ive eaten quite a few meatball sandwiches in my time, from all over. This was the worst. On the other hand, their pizza is very good.
A good place to get fresh made pizza with good service. The variety of pizzas are outstanding and are all good. The salads are huge and very tasty. A very good experience to go along with very good food.
Mmm mmm good. Talk about a spicy-a-meat-a-ball. Great special slices. Buffalo chicken slice is a must. Go Ginos, its ya birthday

I took my grandkids to Gino’s of Ronkonkoma after a movie. The help was so friendly. The guy behind the counter said I could pay when I’m done. The waitress in the restaurant kept coming by to see if everything was OK. They were so attentive. And the pizza was great. I’ll be going here more often.
I see why they won best Pizza in Long Island. The Brooklyn pizza was on point and so was the penne vodka pizza. The service was good and the prices reasonable.
Bought a PTA fundraiser kit, 2 raw doe,2 sauce,2 containers of pepperoni,and 2 containers of cheese. Made the pies with the kids and they loved them...(plentiful topping)
Grabbed a quick dinner here tonight and ordered two Gma slices and they really hooked me up. Lol. Such nice people in there and great food. Love Ginos!!!

This was single handed the best pizza, service, and price I’ve ever had. We walked in and the food was mesmerizing. We wanted to try everything so we ordered 6 different slices. They brought out an extra slice of pizza for us to try and that one was crispy and had exquisite flavor. I enjoy Buffalo chicken pizza so I gave that one a shot and I’ve tried over 40 different places and this one blew the other ones out of the water. The only critique was that we gave a tip after ordering our food and not up front. After we ate our food we felt the initial tip didn’t match the food nor the service, so we ordered some cheesecake mainly for an opportunity to tip, but the cheesecake matched the quality of the pizza. Gino’s doesn’t mess around. Easily the best place to do business.

This is definitely one of my favorite pizza places! Staff is always upbeat and welcoming, and the pizza is delicious!! Mac and cheese slice is a real winner, pasta cooked perfect!

Ordered for delivery a pizza half meatballs half peppers and onion it was so over cooked looked on bottom of pizza black crust.The meat balls pieces were so over cooked. Called them to complain they gave me credit for the horrible 34.00 pizza I ordered last night which was a few weeks later a chicken parmigiana dinner comes with pasta . Baked clams. Cold small antipasto. For pick up. The old man that helped me opened the pizza box to check the order. The chicken parmigiana dinner had all in one dish with penne pasta on top of the chicken parmigiana dinner totally covering the chicken parmigiana. I have never seen this before in a good Italian pizzeria restaurant. I questioned this he tells me this is the way they serve it if you don’t request separate dishes .Really ??? Been ordering from them for years never have I received a main course order especially for the price combined with my pasta choice like a Chinese restaurant. The Chicken Parmigiana dinner and the baked clams were unappetizing. Will not be back !!! So many other delicious Italian restaurants in our neighborhood.
Adorable place. Amazing Italian wedding soup, excellent lasagna, and huge meatballs! We had an absolute blast and we sat at the bar. Did you know they put a caramel sugar and cinnamon rim on your October fest? It was amazing!!!
Great salad slices! Regular slice was delicious as well. Staff was courteous. Dining area could use a little more ambiance, but the food will make you forget it!

This place is incredible. First off I drive 20 minutes just to get their pizza. Theres decent pizza by me but this Ginos is worth the drive. Food is great every single time, service is great every time and frankly if you dont like it here something is probably wrong with you. Im obsessed with the deep dish but the old fashioned slice and grandma vodka are no joke. Eggplant hero slaps too! Ive tried probably 12 different items and slices, you guessed it, all delicious.. I can go on and on about the food but all you need to know is Ginos of Ronkonkoma will make you question if you ever truly had amazing pizza.

Keeping it simple: Great people, great service and great quality old school Italian pizza and food! Thank god a pizza place that actually still has fried calzones on the regular and not some place that says We can make you one if you want. (OK - Do me a favor and dont try lol) Ginos does it right.
Amazing food and service!! We took our baseball team there and they were very accommodating. You order and pay up front and they bring you the food, which worked great for our huge group.

Ginos has our favorite pizza, Brooklyn style. We have many, very good, pizza joints by us, but travel to Ginos when we want the Best. Never disappoints. We very much enjoy the casual outdoor dining space they carved out too.

Meatballs are all bread! Im not exaggerating, all bread! Not a little too much bread crumbs, all bread crumb.There was absolutely no meat in the meatballs. My husband tasted my half of the meatball hero thinking I was exaggerating and he said my half was worse than his. Manager or owner needs to check on whats going on in their kitchen and whomever is making the meatballs stop them immediately and teach them how to make a proper meatball. That was disgraceful. Zero stars.

I honestly cant understand why they are so busy, the pizza slice dough was tasteless and the cheese was hard and chewy.
I ordered a Sicilian Pizza it was coming out of the oven when I got there. The crust was fantastic, thick and bready as it should be, with great texture and flavor. There was a lot of cheese. The only thing I didnt really care for was the sauce it was too sweet for my taste. Overall a very good pie.

Always loved Ginos... been to many of their locations. One star now because out of nowhere they say they wont deliver beyond a certain street, even though in the past 2 months they have delivered to our location (for us and neighbors) multiple times. Unfortunately, a great way to lose business since everyone in our area always ordered from there. Hoping this changes or that the phone girls just have this wrong.
They make very good pizza. People who work there are also very nice people. But the price is little on the higher side. Thats the only downside.

We went to Ginos for the first time this weekend although we drive past there often. I ordered a regular slice and so did my BF. The pizza was hot and delicious. The sauce was tasty and the crust of the pizza was crunchy. The staff was friendly too. Best pizza Ive had in a while!

We drive from middle island to ronkonkoma for this place. They have awesome food and pizza. The pizza is perfect, its a perfect combination of sauce and cheese. Nothing is overpowering. They have the best staff too!! Theyre so friendly and helpful. This place cant be beat.
Always loved their food and one of the best pizza places around. However, $3.25 delivery charge is insane! If I wasnt home with a newborn and two toddlers I would pick it up myself. But unfortunately I canceled my order and now curious of I was always charged a fee when we ordered $100 worth of food to be delivered.

The reviews looked good so I ordered a Brooklyn pie from here. When I walked in I saw their impressive selection of pizza and had to also try a slice of the Cajun pizza because it looked so good. The Cajun slice is by far the best specialty pizza Ive ever had. Then I get home and opened the Brooklyn and sweet baby Jesus it was amazing. This will be the only pizza place I go to in the future
Great place! Clean, friendly staff, and delicious food. The chicken cutlet pizza slice was so flavorful, it was a nice sized portion which was also very filling. Very clean inside and decor bright and spacious. ❤️

The food has been incredible since I was a kid in high school when this place was a tiny pizzeria. It wasnt even at this location. They take pride in their good service, cleanliness and especially food! I will always keep coming back here, as my family does at least 3x a week for the best pizza on Long Island!
This place is amazing!! We eat here quite often and everything is always fresh and delicious. Last week we used them for catering my daughter’s communion party and we couldn’t have been any happier. The guys were a pleasure to work with. They helped me decide what and how much food to order for the amount of guests I had without going overboard. There service was professional all the way down to the delivery guy that was super helpful! And the food...Fuggedaboutit! My guests could not stop talking about how delicious it was! Everything was amazing. We will definitely be using them again, and I’m pretty sure our guests will be too!
I love going here with my coworkers. Really beautiful outdoor eating area, modern and clean interior. Incredible food and lots of options outside of traditional fare. Not exactly what youd expect down the Portion Rd strip and a really aesthetically pleasing location. Delivery can be a bit expensive, but its worth it to visit in person anyway.
Good pizza not pasta
Always good. Ginos has been around for as long as I can remember, and if you ever eat their you will understand why. Everything on the menu is pretty good. If I had to say one negative thing it would be that they close for an entire week every year in July, which forces me to buy pizza somewhere else.
The deep dish pizza brings me back to my youth and a restaurant called My π. So good. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Good pizza. No longer offers clam pizza by the piece. Sauce is extremely salty....very, very expensive and you will be sorry if you sit at the bar and order a beer while you wait for your order. Beers, draught or otherwise are a major ripoff. Won’t be back after 5-6 orders there.
Absolutely worst pizza I’ve had in my life. Don’t believe the hype or the reviews. It’s watered down sauce and is extremely bland.

The atmosphere is of the romantic but sporty look. Paul is a great owner and always cares about the customers. Returning soon.

Our favorite pizzeria! Nice atmosphere and excellent food. We love the Brooklyn style pizza. The staff is really nice and very helpful when youre trying to dine with young children.
They have really good variety of pizzas, both veggie and non vegetarian. I love their baked eggplant pizza and the regular veggies pizza. Their garlic bread is also really good. Pizza slice portions are pretty decent and reasonable pricing.
Nice atmosphere for a pizza joint but twice Ive been there and they burnt the bottom. Some may like this but I am not a big fan.
BEST NY Pizza on Long Island!!!! So many pies to taste!! My favourites are the Balsamic Pie with Ricotta, Plain Cheese or the White Pizza with Broccoli. The Garlic Knots are AMAZING!!!! Food and service are both great. The inside is very trendy and gorgeous, too!!!
We order pizza here every friday for the office and never any issues. Also use them for catering. We all love the regular pizza, catering food and specialty slices. Always friendly and always on time! And believe me its hard to please 20 people! :)

Good Pizza 🍕 and other food
Didnt like the pizza. We tried the regular pie last year...it was bad. Tried the Brooklyn pizza recently because it got great reviews but 4 of us did not like it. The staff is nice , the building beautiful, but for a premium price we expect great NY pizza.

This place used to be the best. However, lately the pizza has a burned smell/taste and often has burnt black pieces stuck to the bottom of the pizza. This is from not cleaning the ovens properly, which is unfortunate but a reality. It ruins the taste of the food. Looking for a new pizzeria now
Weve been going to Ginos for years and at first we didnt like when they remodeled. Now we love to come here have a pizza or salad or a dinner and they are all excellent. We can also get a glass of wine or a beer. The staff is so great and friendly. Just love to come here for a bite to eat.
Love this place! I travel from Plainview for this pizza. Never had their regular slices but the speciality slices are off the hook. Sweet chili chicken slice, mac and cheese slice, eggplant slice, ala vodka slice, and i can go on. Heavily staffed and very friendly. Havent had a bad experience yet.
Best pizza on long island!
Honestly was extremely disappointed will never order from here again. I ordered the family style courses. The chicken Marsala was rubbery and the bolognese wasn’t even actually bolognese lol it’s just a meat sauce that was just topped over the pasta which was dry. Bolognese is supposed to be a pink creamy sauce almost like ala vodka. I can honestly cook Way better than that and only ordered for my family because it’s supposed to be easier for myself, but I guess not since I was aggravated anyway. Waste of $80.
Food is good, but the prices are RIDICULOUS. Had it the first time it was good, but lukewarm at best. The second time I ordered the same thing and it was not as good and equally lukewarm. They are very busy so you should call you order in ahead. But the pizza was made hastily, you could taste the difference.
Best pizzeria I have ever been to. The portions were huge! The service was off the charts and the food was so delicious. What a great ambiance as well. I will certainly be coming back! I found my new spot. Ive never seen anything quite like it. I highly recommend it!
Loved, loved love the bread..... the crusty sesame bread is awesome. Meatball was kinda plain, and not as flavorful, but the bread kept me eating and eating the sandwich. I think the meatball makes the sandwich, but the bread was so good, it kept me coming back for more.
Great for pizza but tried something different like broccoli rabe and sausage, pasta in garlic and Olive oil and not so good. I was totally disappointed the broccoli rabe still had the stalks/ stems. No oil and thrown together. At first they brought us pasta with Broccoli and garlic thrown on top of the pasta. Then took same pasta and threw the sausage n broccoli rabe on top. Lacked flavor. The service is horrible a young girl comes over to the table to ask us for a drink order we needed to order our food at the counter but yet thier waitress brings a drink so u have to tip her but do the rest of your own service by going to the counter for everything. Very strange and annoying when you want to have a nice dinner. That cost good money. Its a shame. We wont be going back

Ginos is hands down the best pizzeria on Long Island. Since we have moved out of state when we come back to visit family we always leave having Ginos (plus some packed away for when we get home sick)

Minestrone soup was not good, all the vegetables were crunchy/raw and broth was salty and overpowering in flavor. Bruschetta was alright, but expected more than just chopped tomatoes and balsamic over some of their regular bread for $9. Prices have been raised on almost all the items from last time I went there and several places in the area are cheaper for same thing with better taste. Associates behind the counter had attitude and were not helpful over the phone when ordering.

First time there last night. Didnt go in but the place was packed, was really well lit and looked clean from what I can tell. Pizza was delicious. Reminds me of Tonys in Brentwood. Salad was pre-packaged and soggy (the dressing is put on the salad; does not come on the side) and was under dressed. Ate half and threw it away. Disappointing for $9. the service was absolutely atrocious. I got no greeting, the guy at the register just yelled out the total, swiped the card and threw it across the counter instead of handing it back. The pizza was cold when we picked it up. Theres very few parking spots. We may or may not return. If the pizza wasnt so good we would definitely not be retuning in the future.Edit: Have not returned since the writing of this review. With so many pizza places on the island, I just found somewhere else to eat. Can’t afford to have bad service... there’s no need to be rude to customers when they are going out of their way to eat and pay at your establishment.
Been going to Ginos for 21 years. My wife is from Ronkonkoma. We live in Mount Sinai now. Dont get here as often. Went recently had two grandma slices absolutely the best. Their regular slices are excellent. Had the chicken francese slice it was fabulous. Also chicen,bacon ranch. There entrees and pasta are great. I find the service to be excellent. There are good pizza places closer to me. Been to many pizza places across Suffolk County, Ginos is the best!!!
Best pizza on the planet! Very friendly staff. Pretty waitresses, Owners Paul or Marco are always on duty running a tight ship with a smile. Bring the family, tell your friends and neighbors. Pinwheels are to die for. Chicken marsala is AWESOME. Keep up the good work. BURP! AHHHH

Myself and 3 of my friends ate there today. I had PASTA FAGIOLI and it was the best I’ve ever had!! The other ladies that were with me were very satisfied with their orders too. Definitely will be going back!
Out of all the places to buy pizza, I have to say Ginos has to be the best. Their speciality pizzas are averagely priced, but the pizzas are sliced into 6, so you get much bigger slices than normal. Definitely my favorite place to get pizza.

Pizza was not good!...sauce tasted like it came out of a can of Hunts tomatoes sauce....cheese was so sparce there was at least an inch fro. The crust with only sauce ....we order 1/2 meatball and less than 1/2 had meetball....Ginos was always a 2nd runner up to Little Vincents or Pizza Stop of years ago is long gone!! THAT THE LAST TIME I order Ginos!!

Ok this this is just for LUNCH ORDERS... so i never leave a review but I just ordered a small Chicken Caesar salad. I pickup my salad and unwrap it and I find my salad already has dressing all over it. Im 30 years old and unless im at a restaurant and its before my meal, a small salad from anywhere comes w dressing on the side. This has never happened to me. I really feel a type of way this was done...to be dramatic, like my civil liberties infringed upon! The audacity to dress my salad..... Idk all in all it makes me feel like I got leftover table salad w some croutons on top. I paid $11 so Im eating it, tastes good but not at all how I would serve my salads at least a pick up lunch order.
Awesome food and really friendly staff. There is also a gentleman that busses tables, he works extremely hard and my husband and i noticed. He seemed like a really awesome kid!
Came here for the first time in at least 10 years. Beautiful inside, didnt view the full menu only got a few Alices which were excellent. For how busy they were we were in and out with dining in, in under 30 minutes. Will be back

This place is my all time favorite pizza and italian food spot the staff is very friendly and make you feel like family they remember your face and name after being there a couple times a couple of them know exactly what we want before we say anything . the design and style of the place is very nice , clean and unique i love it all the staff are weari ng matching uniforms. they have a in house bar ready to serve drinks . the food is amazing best pizza ive ever had and there grilled chicken greek salad is perfect you can choose between sitting inside or sitting outside on pattio chairs under an umbrella on there paver patio this is pizzaria is in a complete other class than any other place youve been to i highly recomend it me and my wife and 3 year old daughter walk a couple of blocks once a week up there to have dinner its always a good time ! we love it,the Bruno family

Best service hands down. We go here all the time- delivery is always quick, and they know my name. Great pizza, although the sauce is sometimes a little sweet.
Make sure to go to the one on portion by Dunkin donuts because there is a huge difference in this location and the one by Ave Hardware.The one in ronkonkoma is good pizza but its unfortunate they dont take cards on delivery otherwise id givie them 5 stars
Im new to the area and this is the best pizza Ive found so far. I think the Sicilian pizza is a little too thick but its tasty..
Pizza with a capital P. You can also capitalize anything on the menu. Seriously its all good. My absolute favorite pizza place. I will literally drive from Manhattan just to go here.

Clam sauce stated on the menu it was fresh it was not fresh.....the broth looked like dirty dish water and there was 2 pieces of parsley, no wine it was horrible....

Nice atmosphere, a bit crowded during lunch. Bus boy was super helpful with mom who uses a walker. Bartender was nice and efficient. Pizza was good.
This place is great. The regular slices are delicious and the sauce is great. They also have really good speciality slices. I highly recommend this place.
I love the Brooklyn slice at Ginos. You cant go wrong with any slice. The dining area is also very nice as far as pizzerias go.

New to the area and decided to try this place out and got the Romano wrap... AMAZING! Most places cheap out on the chicken and other ingredients this was good ingredients and packed! Good price... overall great place.
Its good, I got a Mac and cheese slice of pizza it was a square and it was good, one size drink but thats okay because there are free refills. Not super amazing or anything but it was good, I would go again
Their family meal is a great value and includes delicious options, weve tried several now and never disappointed. Well be ordering again

I thought a large pizza is supposed to 18 inches? I swear, I bought a large pie and the thing is prolly around 14 inches. Small pie.. Pizza is ok. Expensive in my option for the size of pie you get.
Ginos has my favorite pizza in all of long island. The Brooklyn style is the best slice Ive had.
The reheated pizza we had was overcooked and burnt a little. The slices were hard and dry. Maybe a fresh slice may be a lot better.
Pizza is always excellent. They have very imaginative toppings and styles of pizza. If you are nearby, worth stopping for something toneat.
Specialty slices are good but the dough is a little tough. Staff is very friendly and attentive and the pizza is above average

2022-04-10Worth the READ!I decided to give Gino’s a shot with their Catering packages! I’ve had their pizza which I love so I thought if the pizza is good their food had to be good! The food was absolutely AMAZING! All my guests were completely stuffed and very happy!Being that it was a surprise the delivery came right on time. When I checked the food I noticed I was missing a small tray so I ran out to get the delivery guy to check the receipt which in fact I didn’t order what I thought was missing! MY FAULT as I should of payed more attention as I placed the order! I immediately called Austin panicking being my husband was arriving soon and I needed the extra tray I thought I placed the order on! He told me no problem I can make it and have it sent to you in 20 mins!! The delivery guy came just in time and Austin didn’t even charge me for it!! Being this was my mistake, I was so taken back when I saw I wasn’t charged! Talk about about a GREAT business!!! I do parties all the time I will be using Them from now on! If you ever want catering done ask for Austin! He was A total sweetheart from start to finish! 5 stars isn’t enough to give this place a rating, it deserves more!

2022-02-12Dined in and had a fresh made well done regular pie with a guest. The pizza itself is smaller than the average pie (which is OK I dont mind that part.) The crust was kind of good but with a odd rubberized texture that wasnt satisfying to chew. The Cheese was OK, better than average pizza joints. However, the sauce was very mediocre, bland, and watery. Im actually quite shocked to read some people go out of there ways to come to this place, I can name a dozen others Id rate above here. Maybe I came on a bad night, I will give it another try in time. For now they earned a 3 star.
