Ordered a Strawberry Shortcake 10 cake for a wedding and have to tell you that this was great. I have never been to this bakery and it was recommended to me. Would use you again if I need to do another party in the area....and it was on short notice. Whipped cream and fresh strawberries. Fabulous and thank you. And it was delivered to the venue. Only 4 stars cause you always gotta keep striving 😊👍
Great little coffee cakes! Super fresh and tasty. The server was very friendly & funny. We only picked up- but everyone seemed to be relaxed & enjoying the cafe.

Unfortunately it took over and hour to get two cold sandwiches. Not at a rush either. They didn’t have some of the menu items available, and many people seated were kept waiting for over an hour. Appears they prioritize their to go orders over people present at the restaurant. Had to flag our server down three times. Dissatisfied and disappointed.

Terrible. First off they had told us they close at 3 pm. It was 2:30pm at that time.After seated and started ordering; thats when my buddy was told the grill shuts down at 2:30.Other people came in looking for stuff done on the grill.Then looking at the Bakery, nothing looked good.Left there disgusted.Horrible place to go in my opinion as of right now.

For starters ..They erase negative reviews. Almost $20 for a panini and a bowl of soup. It’s SO worth it but only once a week. Food delicious but again .. as a treat.

I had to wait almost an hour for a sandwich, I told the lady no bacon and she still managed to give me bacon with cold sweet potatoes fries. Horrible sandwich, will not be going back.

Gios is an outstanding restaurant! The food is always delicious, service is spot on and the bakery is excellent and so very tempting! Today I had the Turkey and Cranberry Panini along with a cup of Corn Chowder. Everything was just right! Highly recommend if you are ever in my hometown of Port Jervis. Be sure to take home a few sweet treats!

Staff was friendly. But stay away from the Italian butter cookies! They were soft, tasteless and just plain stale! For $10/Lb. Shame on you!

Chose from the lunch special menu, a Philly Cheeseburger, with sauteed peppers, mushrooms & onions which were diced finely & mixed with in the burger, topped with a homemade cheese sauce served on a Brioche bun. OMG !! I was salivating when I saw it coming, & then to taste it, best burger ever !! Was served with onion rings, battered & fried to perfection. Also had French fries, perfectly crisp & delicious. Was a treat to dip them in the extra cheese sauce that had been on my plate. I cant say enough about how absolutely deliciously delectable everything was. I live in NJ about an hour away, but will not hesitate to take a trip to visit this fine establishment again. The staff were all absolutely delightful also which made it pleasant experience all around.
Quaint and cozy sandwich/salad shop with excellent desserts. Friday night is pasta night and Id recommend giving it a go.

A very dangerous place!!! You could spend HOURS trying to decide which choice to make lol. Everything looks heavenly. Tried a cannoli cream cupcake today. Its not the cannoli cream Im used to from Arthur Ave however I was pleasantly surprised by the filling and frosting and it was still very yummy. Would be even better if they had sugar free. The staff was friendly & the place had a nice ambiance. Definitely recommend everyone give it a try. They have something for everyone!!

Food okay service very slow
We were passing through town, and we wanted to get lunch at the Erie Hotel. But it being COVID and all, we wanted a place with outdoor seating. The outdoor section at Erie looked enticing, but was full. And the staff was unfriendly and unwilling to accommodate our desire to wait for an available outdoor table. No regrets, because we were immediately seated outdoors at Gios. We each got a different burger and our expectations were blown away. From top to bottom, Gios burgers are outstanding. They even have sweet potato fries. Too bad there was no gelato available the Saturday we visited, but well be back!

Gios used to be my top place to sit down and eat in Port Jervis. The last few months I have felt their quality and and standards for food has dropped significantly which is a real shame given the successful re opening in a bigger and better location downtown. I hope the owners get their acts together and start treating their store and employees with more care and respect and enforce better standards and quality!

THIS WAS THE BEST WEDDING CAKE I’VE EVER TASTED!!No, really. It was. I LOVE desserts, and I’m usually a little disappointed at weddings, when you waited all night to get to the cake, and its. . . dry, or too dense. .This cake. . .oh . .it was the perfect amount of moisture, sweetness and density. The buttercream frosting was to die for . .We had chosen yellow with cannoli filling and chocolate with Bravarian Cream. One was better than the next! We also had pastries (of which I only got a bite of one . .so sad about that) when I talk to my friends and family . .they are still bringing up pastries I didn’t even realize were there, to tell me how delicious they were!! LolTo top it off I had Italian cookies at each table. (I told you I like dessert!! lol) They were light, and airy and so yummy! (I did get to have those . . I had some on the sweetheart table and took them home!!)Gio’s also catered the morning of breakfast at Mountain View Manor, where we were staying. They make their own bagels, and they were still warm when they got there!! They, along with the flavored cream cheeses and muffins, were a hit with both me and the guests staying at the mansion.Did I also mention how nice they were? Everyone I spoke to, by phone or email, was just lovely. I couldn’t have had a better experience with them all.

2022-05-16We ordered 2 different cakes from them and both tasted and looked amazing. The raspberry mousse filling with chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream was a great combination and recently our sons vanilla cake and buttercream with lemon cream filling was amazing. My son just turned one and I ordered a cake in a Winnie the Pooh theme and I was not disappointed. It was more than I expected and was hands down the best birthday cake I ever bought for my money. The decorations and flavor was excellent. The baker really knows what she is doing and you can tell loves what she does. I had so many people asking me where I got the cake. And I happily told them. My only criticism is I wish the list of cake flavors and fillings and icings were available on the website as sometimes its hard to place an order with other staff members over the phone who may not be well versed in the baking section and certain things are extra which is understandable but not all staff seem to know what costs more sometimes. So be sure to ask. With that said just be sure you talk to the baker when she is in or go into the bakery for more details like that you need to make decisions about the cake you want. I couldnt be happier with what Ive ordered from them and plan to do so again for my own Birthday in July. :)

2021-07-24Sooooo I usually give a what should be a 5 star place 2 attempts to nail it before writing a review.The food is fresh, does taste excellent and is well prepared. Exceptional customer service makes this place a gem. However, there are a few things that could use fixing. Both times I ever ordered and received a burger from here.... it always stuck to the lid. Also never got the pickle that is listed to come with it. Everybody knows deli pickles are usually boss. Never got to try it though. Check out the photos of how the burger came. Its the 1 qualm I have that occurred on both a delivery and a pick up.Other than that. Its grade A.

2021-10-29Definitely recommend Gio’s - we worked with Krissy who made our wedding cake. She was absolutely lovely and super sweet. We had our cake tasting with her back in June and it was so much fun and everything we tasted was just AMAZING. It was honestly so hard to choose a flavor but we ended up ordering a 4 tiered wedding cake and the guests absolutely raved about the cake and how delicious it was. The cake was absolutely beautiful, didnt even want to cut it! 😍 Very happy with the outcome!

2020-11-02Our server Brittany went above and beyond to ensure we had a great visit with our grandparents that flew up from Texas. Best Salmon Crepe Ive ever had!! All the dishes were wonderful making such a memorable breakfast before we had to hit the scenic route for a fun drive! So many offerings, Ill be back soon to try some pastry or gelato!! Homeade bread & sausage!! This place cant be best. A must try of you havent already

2021-06-05Krissy at Gio’s was incredibly helpful in providing desserts for our wedding! She accommodated our requests and provided so many options, even toward the last minute- gluten free options too. On the wedding day I was BLOWN AWAY by the most incredible gluten-free peanut butter chocolate cake. My mouth waters when I think about it and aside from marrying the love of my life, that cake was my favorite part of the wedding. You won’t be disappointed!
