Very nasty place, he disrespectful for neighbors playing loud music outside all day long and night, probably he got connection so City and police dont touch him.
OMG. Living on SI for 33 yrs and never knew about this place. It is amazing and will be a regular spot for us. The food is outstanding.
Noisy and rude constantly blasting music past MIDNIGHT disrupting the community and the workers were disrespectful.
If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I would in a heartbeat. Poor service and disappointing food. Bought the family over $60 in food and one of our pizza pies was spoiled. The cheese stunk to high heavens and was sour beyond belief. A skunk’s bottom smells nicer than the cheese on that pizza. What a disappointment through and through.I won’t be returning due to poor quality control and most importantly, because of poor and nasty customer service regarding this issue.
First of all I went there for pizza and they dont make pizza anymore, it wasnt profitable. Too expensive for me I wont be back. The service was good and staff very nice just too expensive and no pizza
Scheduled an order at noon to expect to deliver at 7:30pm at night, this place canceled the order at 20 mins before delivery time.
Great setup for outdoor dining. Service is very good but the kitchen is a little slow. The meatballs are great and the Italian nachos are different and interesting and very good. The shrimp scampi is actually shrimp oreganata which was also great.
Honestly hands down one of my favorite spots on the island. Im never disappointed with anything Ive ordered, and the service is always kind and unrushed but on their A game. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
I have always enjoyed the great food and friendly staff while dining at the Giovannis in the past. This year however I had the pleasure of catering my New Years this year. I ordered the Giovannis salad, Mozzarella in Corrozza, Margherita Pizza and Chicken Parm and everything was absolutely delicious! The food was hot, fresh and everyone was very happy. Thank you! I look forward to seeing you guys again in person very soon!
In May we had my sons Communion party there don’t have parties there. Nothing was as planned nobody was ready with anything. When we got there we had to wait 30 minutes for bread to be served. They didn’t know our menu we had to tell them there was more stuff for guests to order from. Nobody ask our guests if they would like to have any drinks , also we asked for table to be set up with the cake, fruits and favors NOTHING was done. Guests had to ask for more food when appetizers were served ,so unacceptable. Nobody really cared about our guests owner didn’t even show to see how everyone was doing. When I went to complain they gave me $50 gift card big deal , but they ruined my son big DAY. I never should have pay the $250 service fee for having very bad service to my guests. I will never go back there for anything not even to get lunch. Think twice before you plan to host part in this establishment.
We dined here for my daughters kindergarten graduation because its right next to her karate dojo and she always says I want to eat in that fancy restaurant so we did she was very happy and ecstatic about it. Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. Thanks for being patient and welcoming of small children who sometimes can be loud.
Unfortunately we got rotten food last night. One of the pizzas had rotten cheese - it was disgusting. And the fried calamari was not fresh; it was very fishy. Really really bad. I dont know what happened - they used to be very good.

Very disappointed as this place has changed and not for the better. The quality of the food remains good but the portions have drastically shrunk. My chicken parmigiana entre was one small chicken breast with a paltry side of veggies. My wifes shrimp dish had at best five smaller pieces of shrimp. When we asked for some more bread (ostensibly due to the fact that the entrees werent filing!) We were lied to 3 times that fresh bread was in its way and coming out of the oven. We never saw it though tables to our left and right received bread baskets. If their policy is just one complimentary bread basket then tell me Ill pay for extra bread. Dont lie to me. Then on top of it all, I get a check with items I never ordered, though they were quick to correct it, I get the sense that if you dont order appetizers in addition to your meal, they appear to write you off. I hate to say so, but I wont be returning. This used to be a good place.
Great food, atmosphere and service! Today, we had dinner outside the weather was perfect.
My family went there today- many open tables. A server finally asked us if we had a reservation, which we didn’t. He said to wait- he helped out another table and disappeared inside. If the place was crowded I would have understood the need for a reservation , but it was half empty..
Joe is our waiter most times; hes great. The place is local goodness, enjoy a broad yet simplistic menu (modern). Warm & cozy vibe. Priced fair. 4 out of 5 stars for overall experiance.
This is one of my favorite places to eat. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have great dinner specials and its a very nice atmosphere. Parking can be difficult, get there early you may have to hunt for a spot.
We had my daughter’s communion dinner and it was superb. It was a Saturday evening and it was busy and we never felt rushed. The food was delicious especially the different kinds of pizza and the pasta dishes. This place is a must try. We love the Nutella calzones yummmmm!

No no No! Extremely dissapointed. Waited over an hour for my entree. The table who arrive after us received their entree and finished before we even got ours. The food was extremely bland and wayyyy overpriced for the quality. Also, service was lacking. The waiter was more interested in flirting with the table of girls behind us than refilling our empty cups or checking in. This was the first time I contemplated walking out on a bill because no one could be found to pay our check!!! I definitely wont be returning.
The pizza is delicious and my mother said it tasted just like when she went to italy, the crust is amazing and the bread they give out is so delicous. I also really like the calamari and nutella gelato. The staff is so friendly to customers too.
Great food, great service. Went on a Wednesday evening, right at 6pm, so we may have beat the rush a bit. Wait staff was super attentive and the food really was delicious. Will go back!

If I could give it less than a 1 star I would. Worst penne alla vodka ever. Horrible service. Took them over an hour to bring our food and another hour to get the check. They didnt even refill our glasses with water. The table that came after us with 3 times the amount of people and food got food before us and left before us. The oil for the bread they give you had no taste. I dont even think it was real olive oil. Huge disappointment!
This place is the closet your going to get a real Italian dinner that your Nonna would approve off. The chef Freddie is always coming up with new and exciting dishes. And the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
The food is very fresh and the pizza is amazing. They also have very excellent staff and friendly service. I would definitely recommend anyone to try them out if you havent already.

Very hostile environment, especially the chubby guy in white behind the bar. He also lied into my eyes when I asked about certain thing (do not wanna bring this up publicly) We felt unwelcome. Intimidating/liar vibe. Thank you not. There are much better places where you can spend your hard earned money. Avoid at any chance.

Food wasnt as good as they make it out to be, my poor wife ordered meatball appetizer and they gave her a raw meatball the service was very judgmental and barely checked on us and it wasnt wvwn packe not worth the price. So expensive for not so great food
Best Pizza in Staten Island, Staff is attentive and personable. Always a great meal. If your looking for a go to place this is it. Never Disappointing.

Terrible experience... Arrived at 7:00pm by 8:30 we are still waiting for our appetizers to come...finally we get one appetizer..then wait at least 20 mins for the next one to come..they came one by one..the main dishes finally came after another 40minutes and two of them were wrong.. Ask for a plate or spoon average waiting time to get it 5 to 8minutes.. Very disappointed.. Wrong food.. Not the best service..

2022-02-20Recently dined at Gino’s in Eltingville. Food was superb, (try the veal chop ) service was outstanding, excellent drinks & their upscale menu separates them from other restaurants. The newly renovated atmosphere was amazing with Sinatra & Martin singing in the background. Five (5) stars for Gio’s!!!!!! Definitely make them your next stop for Dinner. Nick & Debbie.

Really like the red sauce with the meatballs, clean and great flavor, subtle. Pairs well with the arugula salad.Highly recommend, will be back to try the tomahawk!

2022-06-26First time for us and we were very impressed, although it was an event night with a DJ, making for an abbreviated menu. The food was excellent regardless and it was the first time in a while since my very picky wife raved about the marinara sauce on the zappa de pesce. We will be back on a non-event night when we can choose from the full menu

2022-01-22Took forver to take a drink order, the place wasnt that busy. Appetizers werent good. A few bad baked clams, sheimp cocktail, the shrimp had an overpowering taste of iodine. Fried calamari wasnt up to par either.

2018-03-04Excellent food and service. We had the Branzino daily special which was cooked to perfection and the pork chops with hot peppers. The chops were delicious. Oh negative to Giovannis is parking, there no lot making finding a spot difficult.

From the warm greeting when walk in, and instantly feel like your with family, to the impeccable staff who is on their A Game,, and the food. Well it was absolutely delicious, and plenty of it. Perfection, shear perfection!.
