This place has always delivered high quality and amazing tasting food. Im not just saying this to say this but Im always fully satisfied the times I do come here.
They made the best cheese burger deluxe and steak and cheese sandwich I’ve had in a while. The staffs are very friendly and welcoming. All their foods are freshly made on site including the pizza which also happens to be the best pizza in the Tri-State area.
Overpriced and outdated.Place is stuck in the 70’s. Whoever the women are behind the counter, definitely have some type of weird attitude/vibe about them that deters me from further going here: even though it is conveniently downstairs from my apartment, lol.Pizza quality and flavor is your basic NY slice, but honestly nothing more special than Pizza Pizza down the road. Pizza Pizza is definitely better. Given this place is owned and operated (supposed to be) by real Italian immigrants (and I am also Italian); it definitely misses the mark, lol. Also, certainly overpriced. 4 slices and 2 cans of soda and a Snapple was like $20. I can literally buy an entire pie for that price.The restaurant needs a major renovation and new staff, new recipes and to wake up in 2021, lol.
This is more than a pizza shop. They make an excellent chicken parm. I had a party in their side dinning room. Food was fresh and delicious, everyone felt welcome and well taken care of. This place is really worth a closer look 😍

One of the best Italian restaurants in downtown Yonkers. Bruno his wife Donna and staff are great. A real neighborhood business with family style meals. Never, never a bad or off day. Consistently delicious.

UPDATED: the delivery service from these guys was excellent. The pizza arrived fast, 25 minutes, nice and hot, and forgot to mention good price.This is a family business and they are so considerate its refreshing......prior: The pizza quality is very good. But the grandma slice was heavenly.....idk what it is, what appears to have fresh cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, some oil, excellent. The five is because of the value for the price. Nice Russian couple and was open on a Sunday!
The Penne Ala vodka is soooooo good. Ive had it from lots of places, but its the best from Giovannis, downtown Yonkers, you will not be disappointed. They have good sandwiches and lots of other great foods to choose from as well. The owner and staff are so polite and professional too.Im glad to share my experience with such great pleasure ☺.Shantia
Its not pizza to My liking. So far the last sporadic 4 pies I ordered were sorta dark, instead of light colored on the cheese.
Wish there was negative rating. Visited store for pasta and it was most disgusting thing I ate. Staff was unprofessional. I visited thinking family own business and understand covid safety protocols but to my surprise they wear mast for show only. Mask dont cover there nose.Negative 5 star for behavior and rudeness of person making pizza and lady sitting in front with half covered mask!
They have very good pizza all types. The salads are the best, fresh and plenty for your money. I rate it as the best restaurant in Getty Square. The staff greets you by name and they never forget a good customer.

The staff is very nice but Ive had some less than great food here. In the sit down restaurant area Ive had very inconsistent dishes,like the hot antipasti. Some days they give more of certain things or omit things altogether and dill it up with calamari, and the calamari is terrible. The service is also terribly slow, and each time weve been the only table there for lunch so there wasnt any reason for that. On the pizza side, I like that its thin crust and the slices are big but the crust isnt very flavorful and when you ask for well done they just heat it for another 2 minutes. I always have to bring it home and do it myself. Theres definitely room for improvement.
Ordered a few times from Giovannis. They have pretty good food but their delivery and customer service is terrible. Multiple times have drivers forgotten drinks and parts of the order and are unwilling to fix their mistakes. I have also been quoted one price by phone but when arriving have charged a higher price and are unwilling to settle.
A light and crispy thin slice pizza with a well seasoned and flavorful sauce. The restaurant itself is well maintained with a touch of modern rustic decor. The staff is warm and friendly. We have patronized this place since they first opened. We have continually returned many times for their pizza and wedges. We will make our first visit for dinner soon. Im a Brooklyn born, Staten Island raised, back to Brooklyn for 15 years, now in Yonkers, vegetarian who enjoys real food regardless of my age. I rarely write reviews for anything but feel compelled to mention that the pizza here is excellent- specifically the Primavera Pizza. The vegetables are always fresh and the service is always amazing. I even had the woman who takes my order call back once to be sure they didnt overcharge me. To all the discerning Google review readers, who can actually form sentences, spell correctly and realize there are just hateful, miserable people with nothing better to do than write bad reviews; this pizzeria is highly recommended by a native New Yorker and pizza snob. Eat it, haters.
Went in to order a slice of pizza and I saw mouse droppings everywhere. When I told the person taking my order they completely dismissed me and was extremely rude. I will never order or come into this restaurant. It was a terrible experience
I order a pepperoni calzone from and it was amazing. Great vibes from the workers always try to get me to order or try something new and I will however that pepperoni calzone is on my mind. Please try one and there food so good they get 10 stars from me keep up the great work and great customer service.
I dont understand what all the hoopla is about. Maybe it was a bad day for them, but I did not like their pizza at all. There was no flavor in their pizza at all. I added salt and Parmesan cheese just to try and dress it up a bit, but nothing worked! I was very surprised because I make better Pizza at home and Im an amateur in the kitchen. Palisade Pizza in Yonkers makes better pizza than them and that is saying a lot because I thought they were the worst. If you want to get a good slice of Pizza, the Bronx is the place to go🤗🤗🤗
I order salads from them every day I think there nice people and provide great service. But like any human being treat fairly. Treat the way you would like to be treated. Not taking any side but perhaps they werent having it that day. Downtown Yonkers is a ruff crowd. The food is great rent is high ext. ext. stop complaining and no I dont work for them nor are they family of mine lol just saying.

There are rats running around in the pizzeria as I was eating my food.
I ordered from them to take out, and wanted to come and pick up the food by myself. The guy on the other end of the line said i should be there in 20 minutes. So i stayed in my car and made few calls. When i entered to pick up the food, he said that it will take few more minutes, but i just felt that something went wrong. So after another 12 minutes, the food, which was pretty good actually, was ready and i headed back to my sisters house.I will try them again, since every place deserve more than one experience to be reviewed, unless it is amazing, or such a terrible one, that just one visit is enough.
I ordered a Sicilian Pizza and it was really bad. It had a cardboard taste and the cheese tasted like old processed cheese. It was cold when it arrived and I ordered at 3:45 P.M., it didnt come until 5:05 P.M. Im never going to order from here again. What makes it worse is the fact that when I called to talk to them about it. The first time they picked up and asked for my number to call me back. NEVER GOT THE CALL BACK. I tried calling back multiple times and all I ever got was voicemail.
Is my favorite pizza place. The establishment is clean. The owners are very pleasant. Their food is delicious!! My favorite plate is grilled salmon with broccoli and potatoes!!!!
HORRIBLE SERVICE !!!!! I ordered Chicken tenders and a cheeseburger which shouldve been $12.50 based on the menu pricing and was greeted by the delivery man with a $17.00 bill. When i questioned the delivery man he stated that he was just the delivery man and did not know what was going on. He then proceeded to call the restaurant and I was told by a very rude man that there was a new menu with new pricing and that tax was supposed to be added in addition to the new menu prices. To make things worse, Giovanni screamed over the phone that I should go buy my Cheeseburger somewhere else next time... I WAS APPAULED! Also, they mixed up my order and added fries to the cheeseburger which i did not ask for ! The cheeseburger was DISGUSTING, the worst I have ever had, the cheese was not melted and the pattie looked blacker than a burnt frying pan!! The lettuce and tomatoes which were left outside of the burger were dead before they even left the restaurant ..As if they were going to the burnt out patties funeral. The fries were salty and soggy.. WHAT A MESS!!!! I wasted $17.00 on a NASTY meal for a dinner that was supposed to be good. I have notified my friends and family not to go there and I dont recommend anyone to go there or order from that restaurant .. very disrespectful and unkind !!!! ZERO STARS FOR THIS MESS OF A RESTAURANT
I just Ordered a Cheeseburger Deluxe and a sicilian slice with a can of coke.I received a bland Cheeseburger, the meat had a weird taste to it, it was obviously frozen meat, but i dont stick my nose up in the air regarding fast food, but they could have at least seasoned it and given it some flavor.I got a regular slice of pizza instead of the Sicilian slice i ordered, the slice was waxy in appearance, the cheese was sliding off the bread, it was cold and barely had any flavor to it, 2nd worst pizza ive ever tasted! oh and they sent me a can of pepsi instead of the coke i ordered.Never again will i ever order from this horrible place.
Chill place. Havent been back since I suspected someone spit in my food. I truly only like going here if the father is working,sometimes theres this guy working in there and my experience is never great when hes there (I think he is in the family as well). All in all ,I love to support family business and its great to see family doing things like commerce

The customer service is horrible!!!! An order of chicken fingers and fries mean you get a few fries and when you call to address the issue you get told that the delivery man is apparently the owner and the person who answered the phone is apparently Mel Gibson. So Mel Gibson must have had a bad year and is working in a pizza shop and the owner moonlights as a delivery man. Said owner also claims to have cooked the meal so hes a cook too (a real jack of all trades) to put the icing on the cake we were accused of stealing fries. They originally gave us an order with barely anything in it and they then felt it necessary to blame us as the reason why there was so few fries. At the end of the day the amount of fries was not the issue. The way they handeled the situation or more appropriate, how wrongly the handeled the situation leaves a lot to be desired. They have lost customers due to their tackless ways. Although i do not think they care about a few less customers they way they speak to people only shows why they should not be in such a bussiness.
Honestly just had the most bland slice of pizza ever. Priced at 2.50 its sounds like you would get a authentic slice but no it was flavorless and I pressume it was made with watered down tomatoe juice.
I ordered a chicken ceasar salad from this place and while eating I noticed a dead fly on my lettuce, so I called to ask for my money back and who ever the tall man with the short hair behind the counter is I dont know if that is Giovanni himself was extremely extremely rude and disrespectful to me on the phone asking me if I was sure that it was bug, that I am lying that cant be possible in his food we exchanged words and I asked him would he like me to bring it in so he can see he said yeah come in. I had to leave my job to drive over and show him the bug on my lettuce and he had the audacity to tell me no that wasnt there the bug must of flew in my food while I was eating. I am very disappointed in this restaurant my company orders food from here all the time to get treated the way I did. I could accept the dead fly and how things do happen. But the rudeness and disrespect when I asked for my money back is unacceptable. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS NASTY PLACE. NOT ONLY IS THERE DEAD FLIES IN THEIR FOOD BUT GIOVANNI IS VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL AND INSULTING!! if there were a negative amount of stars to rate this place I would give them an infinite amount of negative stars!!! So today my husband and I got stuck in Yorkers with the snow storm and thanks god I found this place it was warm and while we waited for our Uber I order , the food delicious and the lady and her daughter were very nice and kind we will be coming back soon!

This place has poor customer service if u don’t order from them directly !! I ordered thru Uber eats and they sent me a pie that looked like it was ran over by three buses !! Then when I called to just asked a question , it’s like the owner expected the call bc he was very nasty telling call Uber go thru Uber !!! Very disappointed

This place has a great atmosphere and is the best pizzeria in Yonkers, NY. Amazing food for great prices and even more important they value every customer, I Love an enjoy eating there!

So today we had a luncheon that was catered by Giovannis OMG im still raving about how amazing the food is everything was grrrreat from the sausage n peppers the chicken parm , penne a la vodka just an amazing taste. now we have catered before from Giovannis but I ask the rep cant be the same I love you guys all great restaurant but I have to say yonkers GIO stands alone with greatness. cant wait to order again.

I don’t usually write bad reviews but I just wasted $25 dollars on 3 cheeseburgers although I expected it to be nice and good I was disappointed at the result of it I just got 3 burgers with 2 slices of cold cheese and to top it off the meat was raw it was disgusting ... not even lettuce ,ketchup, tomato or mayonnaise I’m not the type to complain but this is over the limit of disgusting and disappointing .

2022-06-18Delicious food. My first visit here was a pleasant experience which is why I continue to eat here. My gf and I got home late and we both had a rough day and just wanted something to eat. We didn’t realize they were closing when we placed our order, but the owner was kind of enough to stay open late just for our order and made us a fresh pie.This was our second time ordering and went with a Pizza Bianca, and it was a wonderfully cooked pizza and satisfied our every bite.Genuine, hard working owners that make fantastic food and truly take pride in their product. The dining area and kitchen are always very clean and spotless and we can’t wait to come back again.

2021-08-03We had a birthday party here, the owner was amazing. He was very helpful he let us come in early to set up for the party, he answered any questions we had. The birthday party was a hit. I would 100000% have another event here again. It was even convenient that there was a Pizzeria there also.

2022-02-12I really prefer not to leave bad reviews, but I must be honest. The pizza here isnt good at all, and Im a big fan of pizza of all kinds- and the owner is a tad sketchy. Now, granted I only tried their plain slice, and nothing else but thats all I need to try to decide on if I like a pizzeria. The slice was very small and I got a can of iced tea, for about $5. I decided to dine in and the owner stood right in front of me the entire time , he was behind the counter of course but its as if he watched me eat the entire pizza. I was quite uncomfortable but I had no where else to eat, as I was rushing and on the go. He appeared nice, but in a sketchy, weird way. My first experience made me super uncomfortable there, so I dont plan on returning nor ordering from there. Also, there was no traffic in that pizzeria besides one other person that was trying it for the first time. Hopefully it was just an off day.

2021-08-01Ordered penne ala vodka with chicken and garlic bread. I specified I wanted the garlic bread plain. Just garlic on toasted bread. Not the first time it comes with additional things on it. Pasta is bland. The owners attitude is atrocious. 0 customer service. Do not give that man any type of business.

2020-05-08So, ordered from this place a few times. Had two issues between several orders but the rudeness from the owner with those two issues was enough to make me no longer want to order from this so called pizzeria. The first was when we placed an order of over 30 dollars, hung up and realized there was a coupon for such. Called back within 1 min and was told we should have said something the first time we called and to take the difference out of the delivery guys tip. Absolutely not will I do that but that’s how much they care about their reputation among locals and their employees. I digress... I ordered from them tonight and received a pizza that was clearly at some point turned sideways as all the cheese and toppings were to one side of the pizza and even some off into the box itself. Leaving half the pizza basically bare of cheese. I call to let the owner know and he tells me he made a perfect pizza for me and he did his part even though he was about to close (I called at 8:30 pm to place the order and they close at 9:30pm so save the guilt trip for real). He did his part?! He’s the owner. His part was till it got to the door. Offered me a free topping ($2.00 vs the $16.00 pizza that arrived looking like a piece of bread.... get out of here with that offer) then he hung up on me while I was mid sentence. The guy is rude and I’m done with this place. The pizza isn’t that good to begin with. If your thinking of ordering from here think twice. The owner is rude and apparently “did his part” by doing the most basics of his job title... cooking pizza. Which was poorly done. If your looking for decent pizza order from one of their competitors like singas pizza or Duneoodie pizza. Way better and the staff is actually pleasant.

2021-01-29Delicious Authentic Italian Spot!I tried this spot because it was part of the Yonkers Restaurant Week and I am so glad I did! I ordered the Chicken Scarpariello Pasta for lunch and it very flavorful. The chicken was tender and juicy and the pasta was al dente.I went back to this spot for dinner the same day because the owner suggested that I try the Penne Alla Vodka with Shrimp. The sauce was creamy, smooth and mouthwatering. The shrimp was tender and fresh and of course the Penne was al dente as well.Pros:Authentic Italian SpotFriendly family owned businessAmazing foodCons:It is only a pizza spot with a few seats. Would be great if its an upscale sit down restaurant!

2019-02-19I just wanted to say my husband and I have been coming and ordering from here for years i love there pizza . I can only eat white pizza now. Let me tell you this is the only place I get the pizza if i am in the mood for it. They make it the way i like it and even if I havent been by in a while they never forget me. My husband and I spent our Valentines Day here ordered the white pizza half plain half broccoli the best. Atmosphere is always great they are always pleasant never disappointed with the food.
