Giuntas Meat Farms in other cities:
Great produce, i love the deli counter it has Everything u could want! And fast and knowledgeable butchers. They have the best homemade Italian bread!!! And quite often its still warm!!! Prices are very fair. And what I really like is that its not too big and intimidating. You can always get a parking spot quick, and the cashiers are very polite and friendly been coming here for years!!!!
Great neighborhood grocery store! My go-to store for produce, deli and meat. Great selection of hot peppers. All produce is always fresh! Even the discount rack produce is beautiful! Great ethnic food aisle. Their fresh baked Italian bread is THE BEST and their deli is the best in town!
Nice supermarket with a fantastic produce section and some interesting items not stocked in other local markets. But for a place that calls themselves MEAT farms they really need to up the quality of their meats which in my experience has been pretty poor. Ive given them many tries but I wont buy meat there.
I regularly go there for groceries and find it cheap and very easy to get the items i need to on regular basis. Never seen a bill more than 20-30$ indicates that its really cheap. All veggies, fruits and other stuffs are fresh and have never got any bad quality items. It has 7-8 tellers so no issues for long waiting queue.
Always pleased with my shopping trips to the Bohemia location. There is always staff around to help and full coverage at the registers. The meat dept has a butcher that will trim the meat or cut to your preference. For a smaller store they still do have a good selection, I can get the antibiotic free natural chicken I prefer and almond milk creamer for example. Of course it is a smaller store so there are some items you just arent getting from there. But Im fine with that. The produce is great and lasts. Its easier than shopping at the bigger supermarkets assuming they have what you need.
Considering the handling of fresh meat products, this is a professionally clean and organized store. During busy hours as other supermarkets, youll likely wait for your number to be called. Giunta offers a favorable selection of produce. It is also true about their bagels and desserts.
My husband and I love going to Holbrook’s Giunta’s Meat Farms. The store is clean with a fresh smell. I love their fresh salads especially their chicken salad and chick pea salad. Their fruits and veggies are always fresh. It’s just a great place to shop for your favorite foods
On Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 3:49 PM I felt very discriminated by the express line female cashier. The young lady did not greet or bagged my two items or even asked if I wanted a bag. I’ll never come to this supermarket location again!!!! Review your cameras and re-train your cashiers to engage with the customer... A welcoming experience will bring a customer back besides having good products
I frequently shop there after I get off work in Oakdale. I live out east in Eastport where our shopping choices are very limited. I became a loyal customer when my wife asked me to pick up some peppers on the way home from work and I couldn’t believe that in mid winter your store had over a dozen different varieties of fresh peppers!!! I also learned to love the huge selection of spices (I love smoking and BBQ). Your meat department is needless to say outstanding. Where else can you get lamb chops, leg of lamb, veal shanks and other unusual cuts without special order? My favorite though, is when I sneak into your store at lunchtime and get out quickly because all or most of the checkout registers are staffed. Prices are also competitive if not fantastic on sale items. My wife and I now often make the forty minute drive to your store to do our major monthly shopping. Keep it up!!!
Well I was treated like a 13 year old by the store owner in an amid attempt to belittle me on line at the deli as to be so concerned about health and saftey. Needless to say has poultry sitting on counter tops lingering bacteria near the wrapping machine..Hope it didnt cross contaminate into my food is all im going to say.
I like the produce section, BUT, we bought a whole chicken and froze it for about a week before cooking it. I have to be honest, this chicken was the worst chicken we ever had, I might as well have eaten the sole of my old work boots, the sole would have been more tender. I don’t understand why Giunta would sell trash like this. We literally took a bite and had to throw it in the garbage as it was impossible to chew. Now I question everything they sell and doubt I’ll go back there.
Their Meat is Average, Their Produce has become increasingly worse. Overpriced to say the least. The Deli salads, quiche etc. However are better than most chains. Sorry guys, I only frequent because I would rather go up the block and support local workers. But if it continues to suck in quality, especially when I cant use the veggies if I dont use sometimes as early as 48hrs.
Every Long Islander knows Meat Farms! This is one of the newer, yet better locations. They offer things like store-made cut cabbage & veggies for making your own coleslaw, that other locations dont. Theyre always clean and well-stocked, and Meat Farms prices are typically lower than the competition. This chain is my go-to for produce, most grocery stores cant touch their selection and value for fresh and local items.
As is typical at the two Meat Farms that I frequent; the beverage container redemption will not redeem some containers that were clearly purchased at that store. Giving a message that the container is not authorized at the store.I imagine that this is a violation of consumer protection laws. Perhaps I should check with the Suffolk Department of Consumer Affairs.
The deli Mgr is a true professional, his product is always fresh, his dept.is always clean and full, it reminds me of a grand opening. Everyday !!!, he has a genuine passion for his job ,he runs his Dept as if it is his own business ,you dont see that , anywhere, yes I am Meat farm fan.Steve
This place sucks and you should strictly shop there and only do shopping. If you ever apply to work save yourself time and just don’t. I learned the hard way considering I applied, then got accepted just to be laid off after working there for only 1 month. Can’t stand the fact that I was “too slow” while working there yet you didn’t keep that long it’s stupid and rude on their end telling me they hope I find somewhere else to work. Before they laid me off my coworkers working there told me how they were actually “slow” working for Meat Farms for a long time and up to even a year of working for them. But after 1 month they wish me luck finding some place else yet how will that be any easier for me if I don’t have a lot of work experience that they could have at least had the decency to grant me the experience I need so that job searching can be easier for me. The people working there for at least a year would have a much easier time looking for a new job because again you gave them the experience to do so. Thanks for nothing Meat Farms. I hope everyone else enjoys shopping there.
LOVE THIS GROCERS CHAIN. PRICEY , BUT CLOSE 2 HOME. GREAT STAFF. ALWAYS CLEAN & NORMALLY WELL STOCKED. (BEFORE DISASTER HIT)IM GRATEFUL THEY R VERY CLOSE 2 MY HOME. FAST , EASY TRIP TO & FROM ! REASON FOR 4 , NOT 5 STARS ? IVE BEEN LIVING OUT OF STATE FOR 29+YRS. IN FASTER, EASIER ; CHEAPER LAND. BUT I STILL LOVE THE STORES , ANYWAY ! JOZY~
Ok experience but I called and asked the hours the day before I went, Stated 7am - 9pm never mentioned the Butcher has separate hours. Got there at 7:15pm and he was closed. Girl and the register said he closes around 5:30 each day. I drove 30 mins to get chicken and steak cut and trimmed. Checked the website to makeSure it wasnt listed and there was no mention of the difference in hours. Very disappointed.
Love this place they usually have things you wont find in other supermarkets I found leechee nuts there never see them anywhere unless you go to a specialty store and everything is fresh and clean prices are mostly cheaper than other supermarkets there are some things a little more money than other supermarkets but all in all I shop there all the time.

2022-02-27I have shopped in this store many times before, but my last experience will be just that, my last. I was with my 14 year old daughter and as we were making our way towards the registers, I heard a new young male manager making a comment in regards to my daughters shape to another male coworker, who then laughed and nodded in agreement. I was and am still very appalled .Disgusting. To add insult to injury, my daughter heard it as well. Thanks for that. #ManageYourStaff

2021-09-22Always a great store overall. However, when it was not busy, the front staff and cashiers should have been aware the conveyor belt needed to be cleaned/wiped down. I was struggling to find a spot to put my items down that wasnt dirty or wet. I was in the supermarket business my entire life, an issue like this can easily be remedied.

But until then people gonna be scammed 🙄 SMH!!! UGHHHHHHH, you should it honored the price $6.99 not a good customer service my first time bad experience SMH.. manager seemed didnt care. Honoring the price would it be lot better.

2022-01-07The inattentive & young “head cashiers” goof off & socialize w/ one another & the other managers (including the district) instead of assisting cashiersRegisters seriously could use updatingAlso this establishment sanitizes using WindexCorrect me if I’m wrong shouldn’t you clean/sanitize with an disinfectant
