My family and I lost my baby brother February 10,2022. I didnt know what to do and where to start. It wasnt until I spoke to James and met Jacklyn that I was able to get thru it all. I am the oldest of my siblings and 6months pregnant and they were able to help me push thru. I was able to have a pleasant experience even though the hard times. Jackelyn helped me with the whole funeral services, flowers, and interment. They were there with me from start to finish and went above and beyond. My family and I appreciate you guys so much. Glascott Funeral Home is OUTSTANDING. From my initial phone call for information, the planning, visitation, to the church where we said our final goodbye to my beloved mother, James, Jaclyn and Pat were professional, respectful and most importantly compassionate. The prayer cards were beautiful and ready in less than 24 hours. Jaclyn ordered flowers with my mothers favorite color as the only information - the arrangement was stunning. They were accessible throughout the entire process and never made me feel like I was a nuisance. The home is lovely. At a very difficult time, my family was greeted by Jacklyn, the funeral director, with the utmost care and understanding. Her professionalism and compassion will never be forgotten. The owner James showed such warmth, ensuring every need and question was addressed with the greatest respect and attention. Both Jacklyn and James helped make a very trying time a little easier due to their sincere empathy and care.

No complaints here.....My siblings and i were looking to pre-plan for our eldest sister and communicated with several funeral homes but decided on Glascott based on my interactions with Funeral Director, Jaclyn Himmel. Every communication was positive and professional. We did not finalize upon one conversation....we had many emails back n fourth before making a decision....In every communication Jaciyn remained consistently open professional and knowledgeable.....meeting with her in person was the same. I plan on using them for my own pre-panned arrangements....I highly recommend Glascott.

My family & I didn’t expect that my mom would pass away so soon that February night. When my husband called Glasscot, the funeral director accommodated us right away, which was just within a few minutes of when she had passed on...everything was taken care of. It felt like they were our extended family at our most difficult & challenging time. We are grateful for their service, & for the staff for their commendable job!

Jaclyn was amazing for my family & me in our time of grief. She was decidacated to making sure my fathers funeral was perfect, she wasn’t pushy and worked with our budget. I can’t thank her enough for her time and dedicated. She is truly a god send.

I would NEVER NEVER ever recommend this funeral home. Stay far away! I don’t want anyone else to experience the unnecessary stress that I went through. My loved one passed away and I called this place a bit before 9pm. A very a rude, insensitive, and impatient man answered my call. I felt like I was interrupting his TV time! A death of a loved one is always difficult. All I wanted was to inquire about a simple cremation. He tried to explain the process and the fees but his tone was just inconsiderate. He was ill equipped to understand grief. I tried to be nice, but he was seriously lacking any understanding of human emotion; there was no sympathy whatsoever. When I tried to express my dissatisfaction, letting him know that he was making this situation difficult for me, obviously feeling uncomfortable with how it was progressing, he only got more worked up and his tone of voice escalated to an obvious annoyance which caused me even more stress than I already had. I rarely hang up on people, but this was a ridiculous behavior and all I wanted was for the conversation to end before it got predictably worse. AND this place is pricy. There are a lot better places in NYC. I called about 5 other places and they were all a lot nicer. Go somewhere else.

We just had a beautiful funeral service at their location in Forest Hills, which was a nice funeral home. Very nice, supportive and helpful staff. Highly recommend this funeral home.
