Glencadia is just absolutely great! Ryu and Soi loves to go to the camp!! It’s so nice to have a place where I know not only my dogs will be safe, but they will have a great time and fun!

The quality of this service and place is upsetting. My puppy was picked up around 5:30pm in Morningside Heights but didn’t arrive at Glencadia Dog Camp until 2am! I was periodically checking my puppy’s location through her GPS tracker and she was on W 58th St around 7pm, West Village around 10pm, and FiDi around 11pm. I took screenshots of her location and emailed them to the owner because I was concerned that she had been in a crate in a van for several hours. I got a passive aggressive response saying that they’ve been doing this for over 16 years and that I should feel sorry for the driver! I sent another email once my puppy was at the camp but the owner never bothered to respond. I felt uneasy and anxious until my puppy arrived home. Also we were told that we could track the van on their website but it hadn’t been updated since before my puppy was picked up. When my puppy arrived home, I noticed that my shirt I had packed for her so that my scent could comfort her while sleeping looked like it had never been taken out of the bag. I was very disappointed because they suggest packing a worn shirt for this purpose on their website. I also noticed a lot of fur in her stool. I suspect that she was drinking water with tons of fur floating in it. I’ve made a vet appointment to check her stool for parasites because I’m doubting the cleanliness of their facility. There are numerous dog camps to choose from these days. I’ll definitely be sending her elsewhere next time.

We left town in March because of COVID and left our 9-year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a neighbor. After a week our neighbor told us they were also leaving town and could no longer stay with our dog. We were desperate to find a good place for her, which is hard when you’re not around to see it. We asked some friends and one of them recommended Glencadia. We’re so happy we found them! They are 100% dedicated to dogs, have a huge open space for dogs to play, they take them for runs, swims, lots of fun activities. Our dog is not comfortable around other dogs, and we could see her standing alone in a corner in the pictures during the first week. But after that she made a few friends and started to join the group. For a 9-year old dog, it is not easy to adapt, but she did and we’re so happy it worked out.We were supposed to stay out of town for 3 weeks, but ended up staying 3 months! It was hard to stay away from our dog for so long, but we were at ease seeing from the videos and pictures posted on Facebook and Instagram that she was healthy and happy. I’d also check in with them from time to time and they were always responsive. We had to send her medications since she ran out and they received and gave it to her.Oh, and they offer an extremely convenient and FREE pick up and delivery service with real time tracking!!Overall, we couldn’t be happier with Glencadia. They truly seem to love dogs and charge very reasonable prices. We’ll be definitely taking our dog there again whenever we travel.

*Do NOT send your dog to Glencadia*Wanted to let everyone know that my dog has just come back from the Glencadia dog camp and is extremely nervous, malnourished and generally not herself. I think she’ll be ok after a couple of days but the place seems very dodgy. There’s no pics of where the dogs sleep (though they claim no cages) we’re assuming it was quite unhegenic and a bit of a free for all with every dog for themselves. The few updates we got showed eadie scared at the back with her tail between her legs which is very unlike her and they kept telling us ‘she’s fine’. They had 60(!) dogs there with only a handful of staff and it just seemed like a shambles. When they picked her up on Thurs, they put her in a cage in a van and this young guy who gave the impression he was a bit clueless & inexperienced just drove off. When they dropped her off, they didn’t know which dog she was and just said ‘take one’ we literally could’ve taken anybody’s dog. We had also told them she’d been attacked recently so to keep her with the smaller dogs (and had a great phone call with the owner before hand who reassured us they assess all the dogs when they arrive and group them together accordingly) and in the pics/videos they sent it looked like all 60 dogs were together the whole time. It was just a mess and I’m incredibly relieved she’s home safe and nothing worse happened to her.

Will and Patricias Glencadia Dog Camp is a home away from home for my dogTheodore . Acres and acres to run around in sensibly picked groups the dogs couldnt be in a nicer, more caring and beautiful place. Theodore ended up unexpectedly at Glencadia for over 3 months and Patricia and Will have been great at communication and helped me work all out in a way thats best for the dog. I am grateful to know when I do have to travel Theodore is in such a wonderful place- priceless ! Thank you again for taking such good care of him.

Do not send your dogs here. Read the Daily News article and the negative reviews on yelp - don’t make the same mistake we did. My family lost our beloved Duke and I spoke to the owners of Coco. Both dogs were young and healthy and found dead in the morning. They were both there for around 3/4 weeks and died within months of each other. Coco died in August, but they did not have the emotional strength to write the review until October. Duke was already there and we did not look at reviews again. Please do not make the same mistake we did.

5 stars in every category. Im so glad I found them to watch my sweet boy when we go away. Hes made a lot of friends at Glencadia. He gets all excited when the van comes to pick him up to take him to camp. THANKS Glencadia for a job well done.

My dog came back with like a hundred knots, infected eye, rash on his stomach, really dirty, skinny and underweight, traumatized, and sick. Never send your dog here.

Glencadia is the perfect spot to send your dog ! Lovely customer service as well. The seem less drop off and pick up in the city is an extra bonus.
