Goldbergs Famous Bagels in other cities:
Horrible. The staff has no idea whats in the bagels. If u have an allergy or are vegan u need to know. Went to Montauk first for the vegan cream cheese and vegan sausage thats on the menu. Told they never have the sausage and sent us to East Hampton location. Also on the menu in East Hampton but they dont have it either. You really need to work on your customer service.
Great bagels out east in the Hamptons area , they have multiple locations throughout the area so If breakfast or lunch is on your radar , find one and order you will not go wrong . Also as I always say all there Locations are super clean , and fresh bagel made throughout the day.
Their everything egg bagels are on point -- hits the sweet spot between a bagel and a pastry. Perfect with some scallion cream cheese + lox + lettuce + tomatoes + creamy onions + cucumbers + fresh squeezed lemon + small pinch of pepper.... delicious every single time.
The absolute worst customer service. 3 out of 5 breakfast sandwiches were incorrect. When we called to speak about it the girl on the phone had a nasty attitude. When we showed up to get the correct sandwiches they full out screamed at me over the counter. I was an excellent customer of theirs and will never return. Shame on them for treating a paying customer that way.
Goldbergs bagels is one of only a handful of traditional bagel shops serving freshly made bagels and prepared foods on eastern long island. The bagels themselves are delicious and add a schmear of one of their fresh selection of cream cheeses and your all set for breakfast. Expect the usual high Hamptons prices. The primary gripe I have with this place is the confusing nature of their ordering areas. After going here for many years I have learned the drill but newer customers walking in have no clue where to go so they always end up cutting in front of people who are already waiting in line. The owners need to look at this with a new eye and try to figure out a better flow.
This place is the worst.10:30am on a Sunday, line out the door. Waited 20 minutes to get one plain bagel to go. Asked for a coffee and told to go to the back of the other line and wait another 20 minutes.5:54am on a Tuesday, doors wide open, furniture set out, “open” sign clearly displayed, no one else but staff in the store, told I have to wait 6 minutes until I’ll be served. Seriously?? Just two examples of the regular bad experiences I have here.3 times out of 5 they’ll get your order wrong, zero sense of urgency, incredibly incompetent staff, very expensive for what it is.I get that it’s the hamptons but it’s so frustrating to see a business run this way and paying customers be taken advantage of so easily.Avoid.
Took 20 minutes to make a Beef Brisket Hero special. After complaining that I was still waiting for my sandwich, and the woman who took my order was making bagels for others, she produced a roast beef sandwich smeared with BBQ sauce in a couple of minutes. It was awful. This was the last time Im going here.
If you expect to get food and it taste the way you like? Dont go here!!!! Nothing taste right. Might be because its all kosher but the cream cheese taste funny, even when i got a chickenparm hero, the sauce tasted like they dump a pound of sugar in it. on top of that, They NEVER got my order correct once!!! Always need to send it back. Maybe the locals rave abouht it cause they are only used to Goldbergs and dont truly know what a good deli is or how much better the food can be. But not here.. Im a contractor, so i eat at atleast 3 different delis per week, Goldbergs is by far the worst Ive ever step foot in...
I went into the deli this morning I placed my order with a lady who did not understand the English language very well six people got served before me while I waited for a turkey and swish and an egg sandwich with egg whites I did not get egg whites I got runny eggs and my order was totally wrong and the home fries must have been in the deep fryer because they had no seasoning and I think the place was overpriced especially for the service you got

2021-10-03Can you believe that this is what I received when I ordered a dozen gluten-free bagels? If I knew I was going to get seven packaged bagels from a famous bagel place I could have just gone to the grocery store.

2022-02-15Love this place - my favorite Goldbergs location!! Staff are fantastic, service is great, and prices are solid! If you are just ordering plain bagels/spreads - you can order at the counter to the right and avoid some of the line. Highly recommend their lox cream cheese!

2021-07-28Delicious bagels! Best in the Hamptons by far. Friendly staff. Lines look long but move extremely fast. Menu has a wide variety of sandwiches. Easy parking and a great location.

2021-05-03Not the friendliest staff, but we enjoyed the spicy hobo and regular hobo. Good coffee. Out of plain bagels, so we branched out and tried the garlic bagels and were glad of it. We both would have preferred some cream cheese to the hashbrown, but who are we to suggest a change to a staple? Napkins are the size and thickness of single-ply tissue. We made more of a mess trying to use them than if wed wiped our mouths on our sleeves.

2022-06-06I think these are the best bagels in the world, and that’s not a statement I make lightly.

2021-07-04Disorganized, rude, and never prepared to handle the morning rush. Why are there bagels on the floor? Better yet, why are there bagels on the floor next to a broom?

2021-05-28If they knew how to cook a potato, this place would be perfect. Unfortunately, their hash browns and home fries arent even what I would call ok. But their omelettes, eggs and bagels are all top notch. And they do a great job with bacon too. I know it sounds like its easy to make bacon taste good, but theirs is top 10. Definitely a great spot to pick up breakfast to go.

2021-08-12Bagels are pretty good, but overall experience was rather poor. Was served by a young lady who seemed agitated/preoccupied. I asked for egg and cheese on one onion bagel and cream cheese, tomato, and onion on another onion bagel. I received egg and cheese on a salt bagel and onion and cream cheese on a second salt bagel. Unfortunately my order was to go and so I didn’t realize the errors until I opened the wrapping at home. What’s aggravating was that it was predictable, because I could tell the young woman was distracted. Frustrating experience, unfortunately.
