Really great food. dont let the location fool you its a bit bigger than it looks and it seems to be a little bit of a hidden gem you may not even know its there if you regularly come to main st.... food is incredible and portions are huge. i could not finish and took some home. its not expensive either. Definitely come check it out or order to go.
The food, great!! Service ummm 2 🌟 I called many times to place order to go, but no body pick up the phone. I walk in to place my order and they tell me I have to wait 30 minutes. No problem to wait. I asked if can i seat to wait and the girl told NOT because at the manager dont like the people seat to wait. Im here waiting until my order is ready.

I really like their pollo a la brasa (rotisserie chicken), I also tried jalea which is a fired seafood dish, their green sauce is the best in my opinion, waitress are friendly the only thing that I dont like is that the chicken it doesnt stay consistent as far as size goes sometimes its a decent size and sometimes it comes really small other than that food is good, so I definitely recommend it

I love trying new cuisine and foods. I always come here for lunch and its way too cheap and delicious. There is only a point that about servers. One of them speaking English well but usually other server is taking order. Generally brings me wrong order. Anyway except that everything is great.
We love this place way too much. Truly authentic Peruvian cuisine. The staff is friendly as well. One thing I would like them to do is to keep the music a bit in the lower side. Sometimes it can be challenging to hear the other person/people talking on the table. But overall, awesome experience! :)

I tried all the peruvian restaurants in all Long Island, NY and Noone charges that expensive like this place, they charge like they give better food than the other places, NOT worth it at all, never again this place. Plus, attention is horrible.
This place is great, in my opinion. They recently expanded which makes the place a little more open and not so crowded. The food is delicious and cheap too. When we go we always share of their combo meals. The milkshakes arent bad either. The service is good too. The girl that is usually there is antive but doesnt hover.

I was there last Wednesday night and like always I love the food and the Peruvian purple drink. I’m so happy that there is an English speaking server now way to easy to place the oder and to know more Peruvian dishes. I will be stepping there later today to have dinner with my family.
Its a small peruvian spot not as popular as other but the food is great. The green sauce is the best not watered down like most places and service is always quick and friendly.
Peruvian chicken is great when is made right. I have been there a couple of times and each time food quality was inconsistent. First time chicken was perfect, 2nd time chicken was smelly, 3rd time chicken was good but not like the first time. I want this restaurant to step up and pay attention to detail. Restaurant has potential but needs to improve its quality.
Yes is good, make sure you have patience when going here, they do take a bit longer to serve the food. Because theyre busy!
The best Peruvian food I had eat. Small restaurant, but always when I am in Long Island this is the place that I eat a Peruvian food . I drove 4h from MA just to eat there .
Combos are great and cost effective. Food is always good. Service is always friendly and the chicha morado is done well.
Dont bother. We were ignored for a half an hour whole people who arrived after us were served before we were served. Once we ordered the waitress came out 15 minutes later to confirm our order, and promptly got it wrong. We finally had to take our order to go as time was too short to eat in. That was more than an hour after we arrived. I do not recommend this establishment.
There has been a couple times I been to Golden Chicken and i had a really poor experience with one of the waitresses name Jackie. I really like the food there however Im really disgusted by the way I was treated with this waitress. She has no patient at all. She is extremely rude and leaves the table while Im still speaking to her. I come there with my 84 year old grandmother and Jackie is very nasty by the way she speaks to me and me family. It really took alot of me to write this bad review which I dont like to do because Im in retail myself. I deal with clients and the customer experience is very important to us. I really feel that management or owner nerds to do something in regards to her. Unfortunately I will no longer be coming to Golden chicken.
We came today for lunch. But unfortunately 3 of 6 dishes with meat where spoil. The waitress was nice and polite. She offered to cancel our 3 almost rotten meat orders and change it for a different one. The first order was bistec a lo pobre and was exchange for churrasco at the cost of $3 extra. Not happy about my lunch today 😶
Stopped by to pickup an order...was ready when I arrived...courteous staff....place was packed but wasnt an obstacle for the servers/waitress to attend...its the go-to place for my family who live close by...food was delicious and serving size was correct to what your paying for...
The service is awesome, the place is almost always packed. Only thing I would say is the food needs a bit more flavor. Price value is alright too. Deserts are absolutely top notch!!
The lunch special Monday-Friday 11am-3pm is excellent. The price is reasonable. Regular menu is also great big selection. I wish they had location in Nassau county.
Excellent authentic Peruvian food. Service is a bit slow but the staff is nice and friendly. I cant wait to go back. Favorite dishes so far are papa a la huancaina, ceviche, and leche de tigres. Try inca kola, pineapple Peruvian soda.
I place an ordered over the phone. They told me it was going to take 15 to 20 mins. I got there 25 mins later. I was waiting by the register after 5 mins of waiting and nobody approach me. I interrupted this young lady again that was on her personal phone and let her know I was waiting for my order. She literally told me I have to wait. I waited another 5 mins and I approached her again, she looked at me and say with an attitude I will check. While my food was by the register the whole entire time but just because she was too busy talking on her phone and check. She didnt realized my food has been ready. She started charging me for the food. I asked her what is her name she reply WHY I reply I just want to know and say Jacky. I would never go back there. This is my second time there. The gentleman that helps me there last time was very polite, educated and always try to please his customers. I will never go back there. Food is good but I can not deal with the way those waitress treat their clients specially this woman name Jackie.
Went to pick up an order. Uninterested staff didnt ask me if i was being helped. The hostess, who just finished ringing up the person in fron of me, passed by me multiple times with a passing glance and when i said excuse me twice (which she heard), totally ignored me. She then proceeded to ask the people BEHIND me if they were here to sit or take out. I then said im standing right here!And another woman pointed to the back and said she have it, its not ready yet! I said ok, then who am i here to pick up for? She couldnt answer, and i said exactly cause no one asked if i was being helped or who i was picking up for. So i left. AWFUL!!
The chicken is fall off the bone tender. The rice and beans were flavorful and the plantains super sweet. The girl who served us was very friendly and knowledgeable, everyone should try this place.

Very good food. I like the decoration of the original place, in the other hand the new area is not too nice, a big tv with loud music and poor decoration. Need more peruvian accents. No complains on the food. Cebiche, anticuchos and causa are a must try.

Ok so I ordered the chevice mixto and the lomo saldato. ..both staple Peruvian cuisine. ..the shrimp and the muscles in my chevice were still frozen. .yuck!! I litterly bit into an ice cube ....and I feel sick ....the lomo saldato came with like 4 pieces of beef thats it ..and the fries were soggy as hell...with absolutely no gravy ....honestly the best thing I ate here was the Peruvian corn with green sauce and an Inca kola....I paid 15$ for the chevice and 13$ for the pathetic excuse of lomo saldato ....honestly is you want amazing Peruvian cuisine. ..go to La candela in Hicksville. ..they are amazing from the service to the food
Don’t know what to give to this restaurant Food is good service bad except for Jacky love her attention and never forgets about you don’t matter how busy she is now the girl that they have on the afternoon is a bad server she will be telling you if you don’t see it in the menu we don’t have it like hello it is on the menu but I don’t know the name you there to help me at the end I ask for dessert menu she was like I don’t have right know just because she is busy and don’t want to make it the other girl that don’t speak English be ignoring you all the time and the owners be passing next to you ignoring you not even smiling be on the cashier on her phone if you go there just ask for Jackie if you don’t want to be ignored..

I am a recurring customer, it means that I am not going to express respect for the food, but I arrived with the desire to eat a grilled chicken, I ordered the golden combo, but they suggested a new dish, which came with chaufa rice! Which I accepted, when they served me they brought me chicken, potatoes, salad and 2-liter Inca Kola, the chaufa did not arrive, therefore after 13 minutes I asked that they not bring me the chaufa, I had already finished eating chicken and potatoes only !! Something that caused me a bad experience, annoyance... the detail that I saw many more people than usual working, but a lot of disorganization, as the administration did not exist! In the end I was left without eating the papapapa sausage, the rice with beans, and I never knew about chaufa rice! 😢.. I hope it is corrected because it is not fair to have a bad time, when one seeks to feel happy and de-stressed when eating out! Stacks administrators!
Bad attention, we ordered golden chicken the ceviche was lemon with salt, the mussels a la chalaca were past the loin saltado little meat with 4 weights of yucca without taste the flavor and it was not cooked by Peruvians we do not know but everything was different in the preparation ...to be continue

If I could, I would give it minus zero. Very unhappy with the service and food. July 28, 2020 I ordered a arroz chaufa with chicken and ice cream cake, and they made me wait 40 minutes. When I called to order they told me 15 minutes. The arroz chaufa was unpleasant and not presentable. Of course it had to be unpleasant because they prepared it in a rush. The frozen cake was spoiled and I asked the waitress before if it was fresh and she said yes with attitude. And in the end the frozen cake was spoiled and with bad luck my son ate it because I didnt try it before giving it to him. When I taste what he left, I was terribly spoiled. It made me very angry that my son ate that badly. I called the restaurant to speak to the manager and she wasnt there, they told me she was going to call me and Im still waiting. I recommend that customers be very careful before feeding their family here. 😒😒

I dont know if this restaurant changed management but I was there yesterday Saturday and I loved the food and the service I am very proud that they have put Jacquelyn back on weekends so missing. I was there on Friday afternoon with my family who was visiting at first I felt disappointed with the attention but when the food was brought me it was brought to me by a very friendly waitress who greeted us which the other long-haired one had not asked. If we could finish serving her and she exclaimed of course and I congratulate the chef, the excellent food, the jelly, the richest thing I have ever tasted and the perfect service at the end I loved it and I am already recommending it, too bad I did not ask the girls name but it is low of very kind stature we will be back soon blessings.
My family and I went today for a family lunch and we retired wishing we hadnt eaten in this place. First, we asked for a jug of chicha and when they brought us the glasses, they were badly rinsed, they still had signs of detergent. My wife called the waitress and asked her to please change the glasses for clean ones. Second, I ordered a poor steak and when they brought it to our table I was surprised that the egg was fried with the same meat oil! It was brown and dry, very tasteless. I didnt want to say anything for not giving my family any more disgust. Finally, remember the jug of chicha that I ordered? Well when the jar was finally empty, we realized that it had the same problem as the badly rinsed glasses, with detergent dots all over the jar. When I tell the same waitress about this, she responds by saying: This is how it is when it is rinsed. I really dont know what to think with this answer, I just have to go back to this place. A very clean and spacious place, very rich food and the girl who served us very kindly, my only suggestion is that the long-haired girl gather her hair, it is very unpleasant, that she take food with her hair all in her face but the rest is very good .
At the place I got to buy a grilled chicken with potatoes and salad, which is nice and would be more pleasant if they were more friendly in their treatment.

2022-04-09Ive been coming here for YEARS. The food is always delicious wether you choose to dine in or to-go! And you get great portions for the price! My go-to is always the Peruvian rotisserie chicken but they have other great menu items as well! I also love getting lomo saltado and jalea from here. Today, I also got an order of calamari, which was cooked to perfection! Super crispy! I love dipping it in the aji sauce. The green aji sauce is a must-try! It goes well with everything!! During my visit today I asked for extra and they gave me a ton!! I was so pleasantly suprised 😄 I will continue to always come here with my family and friends. Highly recommend this place.

2022-05-15This place was amazing 🤩 . I personally don’t like ceviche but my sister ordered it and I tried it. I was shocked, the ceviche had an amazing taste 🍤. I also really liked the steak chaufa. The meat had an excellent flavor and the rice also really complimented it. It was a good a experience overall and I would recommend this if you’re looking for something to eat that’s affordable but delicious. 😍😍

2022-05-01Was so disappointed, my sister took me there for dinner! The Rotisserie Chicken was the worst. It had no flavor whatsoever & was so dry, also the fried plantains, was extremely dry. Ill never recommend there to anyone.

2022-03-01I had the appetizer trio fish ceviche was ok calamari was like rubber,it felt like a cheap bubblegum while eating , the potato salad was ok ... Then we ordered the golden chix , the whole chicken was mediocre,only plus is that its rotisserie buthalf was dry other half was juicy it was lacking salt and seasoning ,had no taste,the French fries that came with it had un cooked ones and welldone ones, as an experienced cook that eats out a lot I can tell there was some fries in the fry bucket which was left over and got fried again...they cut up hot dogs on the fries which when I asked the waitress,she told me its all beef but the texture smell and taste of it said otherwise...I also had the yellow rice which was all stuck together and cooked to mush...the beans just tasted like lard....service was great thou,I wont be coming back ,
