The food was good. The staff was really nice. The only thing that got me was used looking the plates and cups looked. That kinda turned me off. You pick up a plate, and it had scratches on it and looked discolored by the food. The plastic cups looked dull and stained. All they have to do is buy new plates and cups, and they would look like a 4 star restaurant.
Not the Golden Corral Im used to. Not much food at all. No carving meats, ice cream machine was closed and ready for cleaning. Unaccepatable! I got there about 6 p.m. and online it says the place closes at 8 but was told that it closes at 7 after we were already there. Needless to say the food was not that great because it was Slim Pickens anyway. Probably wont return again unless its earlier just to see if theres a difference.
Prices for lunch went to 15$ which is insane, Food was cold, barely any food to begin with, and the food that was there tasted like it was a few days old. broken ice cream machine, cups were dirty looking, definitely will not eat here again. the only good thing was the salad bar. wish i could get my money back🤦🏻♀️
Place was disgusting. Was there for over an hour and chicken noodle soup bowl was never filled. Trays were empty and crusted food was on the top if the pans. The worst was the rotisserie chicken. Overcooked and just left in the trays to die a slow death as no one in their right mind would take it. Bordered on Board of Health violations.
I love this server Victoria she is one of the reason I come here to this Golden Corral even though there is one down the street from my house I have Cancer and dont get out that much anymore or be hungry for that matter but when everything runs right appetite and energy then this Golden Corral is a must for a perfect day out thank you Victoria for making my day out shine bright
It has been a while since I attempted to eat here. I got a birthday email (failed to read it) BOGO deal ended up with early bird special.. lol. There were approximately 6 customers at about 4pm . The server seemed bored and his service reflected that. The bathroom was clean and tidy but not in the best shape .. the food was decent ,you could tell it was sitting for a minute. My best choices were the fried fish and the roast beef.. The salad bar looked good but I am allergic to most items did try it..
Absolutely terrible the food was gross I only got baked chicken mashed potatoes and Mac cuz how can you go wrong right...wrong...terrible..EVERY SINGLE label above the food was marked wrong like I cannot make this up..there was a sign tht said shrimp but was pork a sign that said meatballs tht was French fries..Im sure tht night if u had a food allergy you couldve had a lawsuit lol...I could go on but the food Im sure is wat yall are wondering about
Food selection was sparse. The steak order was cooked well, served hot, but too much grizzle. All other foods were Luke warm at best. This was the first time my husband had been there, he was very disappointed. We will not be returning.I give it 2 stars because the servers were attentive and it was clean.
After reading the reviews here i was expecting to contract botulism from this place. the day we went was insanely crowded, line easily going outside. parking there is quite limited unless youre willing to walk. as this was my first ever visit to a golden corral, i didnt really know what to expect. the first odd thing to me was that the beverage dispensers were located on the line to be seated, before you actually get into the restaurant. really odd. after being seated, youre transitioned to a waiter/waitress who handles your drink refills from that point forward. not sure why they just dont move the beverage station to inside the restaurant and be done with it, but i digress...food was your stereotypical fast dining fare. really greasy, really heavy, really unhealthy, but tasty. variety is quite good. they have everything from fried chicken asian dishes to ribs to pasta and fish. the thing is, even the healthy options here are layered with oils and grease. if you want to understand how we have an obesity problem in this country, look no further than a golden corral. as a person who lives a healthy lifestyle, i was appalled. and i loved it...the taste and quality of the food ranged from average to outstanding. as an all you can eat buffet style restaurant, i thought the staff stayed on top of things pretty well. the stations were kept consistently stocked, i didnt see anything concerning from a food safety perspective, and overall it was relatively clean. the waiter constantly removes the dishes youre finished with so you can go and get more if you desire. the dessert section was decadent, complete with a chocolate fountain if thats your thing.overall id say i was pleasantly surprised. we didnt get sick or die from eating here, the food and service were good and we left quite satisfied. that said, if you value your health and practice living a healthy lifestyle, you probably dont want to frequent here more than a few times a year.
I went to the Middletown location with My family on Saturday evening. I was impressed with the staff, very attentive and extremely friendly. The manager was on the floor, over looking if everyone was being serviced. He walked over our table and cleared out our table himself. The food trays were all full and hot. The food selections were very good. From meat loaf with mash to tacos and Sirloin steaks. I usually go to Golden corral in the jersey location. But I will definitely come to this location from now on. For us it was worth the hour ride to this location. A Must visit to this location. Definitely won’t be disappointed.
Me and my fiancé arrived at Golden corral at 6:30 PM. It says they close At 8pm Around 7:15 PM they started shutting everything down and we were not able to get any more food No one came to tell us that they shut down 45 mins early before closing. The mens room was disgusting but the women’s room was clean We had to ask for refills on our drinks
Always like eating at a Golden Corral, low prices, buffet style so you can find something the entire family would like. This location was very friendly, clean and food was good. Our waitress, the lady with the color hair was great, sorry I cant remember her name. I wish theyd put one of these in Brooklyn NY.
We just left Golden Corral in Middletown. There was not much food out at all. The food looked old. The salad toppings we wouldn’t even touch. No carving meets. Server brought wrong steak out twice. When we did finally get it, it was still frozen in middle. Never again and to charge that much. We left and went and ate at Texas Roadhouse
My family went at around 6:15pm and there was not much food out. I know they close at 8pm but they serve people until 7:30pm so how can you serve people when there’s no food? Food was very bland at that. Steaks have to be ordered with server so I thought that was a better bet. Wrong. Took forever to get the small steak that they serve. Seemed like the guy making the steaks was making them 1 at a time. We ordered 2 medium and 1 medium well. When they finally came they were all well done and over seasoned. Smh then went to get dessert and there was but a few plates of pastries left. Went to the ice cream machine and it was completely melted. Someone came up and said that’s not ice cream as she’s pouring water to clean out the machine. This is at 6:40pm. Like come on. That’s ridiculous.
Dirty buffet that charges 15.19 for a lunch. Bathrooms are so dirty that the kids wont use them. Ice cream machine is broken and they dont have any hard ice cream. Their chocolate fountain is just a dirty bowl of melted chocolate (a chocolate koi pond). The worst golden corral I have ever been to. Really horrible. Absolute trash.
My husband & I went here after the reopening of the restaurant & were very impressed on the cleanliness & the quality of our food. The best part of our experience after coming back was our waitress, Jennifer. She was an absolute delight...so friendly, polite & very attentive to our needs! We will definitely be returning & (hopefully) be seated in our (now) favorite servers area! 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for great service...& the great food of course! 😁
We went 6pm Friday night. No Fried Chicken, no shrimp, no soups, no taco bar, no soft serve, no beef gravy, no chocolate fountain, no ice cream bar. The little food that was available was cold/dry and probably left over from lunch. Can no longer get your own drink. Server never brought ours. This place has gone down the drain. Wont be long until its vacant again.
Its been a while since we ate there but tonight the food was delicious everything we had and there was 6 of us with quite a different set of taste buds. Our servers name was London and she was great even when the kids tested her she was calm cool and collected. I would definitely recommend this place.

To my surprise the food was tasty. Some of it was questionable looking but thats the beauty of a buffet you can pick what you like and get more of it! The restaurant itself was pleasant. Clean and good parking. I would love to return during the week for breakfast/lunch as the prices then are more enticing. But even for $20 a person on the weekend its a good deal (plate and 1 drink).
ZERO STARS. I ordered online & when I arrived they didnt have my order. I waited 20 minutes for them to box up a few items- (Pot roast & mashed potatoes) They jammed everything into 1 bag and everything leaked all over the place. Thank God the bag had no holes. Got home, 10 minute drive & the food was cold & the bread & utensils & napkins were soaked in broth.
I did not enjoy eating here, not a great selection at all- the food was okay at best. This was my first time visiting this location (Middletown, NY) and it was very disappointing. We loved the one in Poughkeepsie and now that theyre permanently closed, we decided to take the trip out to to the next closest one.. I probably wouldnt go again.
The food is awful. The price is Ridiculous the food was terrible the salads have only lettuce no tomatoes no cucumbers. The food was Luke warm the jello was Sour the beets was also sour. I asked my waitress to please get me the manager 3 times no 1 came. I asked for a steak Ned rare it came back burnt no soda and no steak sauce and also no ketchup how does such a place not have every day Essentials almost 70.00 worth of food. That was not edible at all. Awful food
I absolutely love Golden Corral so when I found out this one was next to me and open during COVID; I was excited!! We visited today and the greeter was amazing and so was our waitress Victoria! The food was so and so. Some food was hot, fresh and some felt like it was reheated like the rolls and Mac and cheese. A lot of things change but that is to be expected. Like you can’t get your own food now and it will be served to you as you go up (some of the servers acted like they didn’t want to assist) and there not a lot of selections like it used to be be. The only thing that I say that was the worse part was the bathrooms. Both bathrooms was disgusting and smell horribly. My fiancé said the men’s bathroom had piss all over the floor and the women’s restroom was just dirty.None the less, the visit was pleasant and if in the area we may go again.
They dont have too much variety food wise. Its a smaller golden corral. Also the pandemic has made the process a bit awkward because they serve you now. If youre a serious introvert or have social anxiety youre definitely gonna feel like a bother every time you go up for a plate. Though the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. There were 3 different people checking up on me and all of them were so kind. The service is definitely a 5/5 from the staff.
Me and my family went there for dinner and was nicely greeted but the price was outrageous, and to our displeasure the food was lacking in variety and flavor. The food we got was horrible it wasnt labelled corrected and tasted either flavorless or like pure grease, the dessert was not as advertised and the icing was all rock solid and the cakes had lumps of powder in them, and the Mac and cheese was solid and not mixed thoroughly, the experience was awful and I would not recommend.
Very great and friendly staff, if you need anything at all just ask, Our staff member was so great she went above and beyond to help us. The chocolate fountain is awesome, the only thing is dont be afraid to ask for anything if you dont see the food doesnt mean they dont have it. Just wish when you checked in at the register that the staff member would let you know that. Because if I wasnt smart enough to ask myself, I wouldnt have known, then honestly I would have been very disappointed. So please ask if your looking for a certain kind a food and you should be able to get it. Wish they had a little more of a selection of food though. Hopefully the get more of a selection and then they would be perfect. Otherwise they are doing very good, but should be doing better. Left happy, also remember you can tip your server. After all they are basically a waitress if you get the right server ours helped us out so greatly and was so friendly.
My family went to the Corral for lunch today. We haven’t been there since it reopened. We were a little skeptical considering that last time we did not have a good experience. We enjoyed the food but most of all the service. London our server was very sweet and made our visit so delightful. We will definitely be back !!
The Golden Corral in Middletown was very clean and everyone was so welcoming. It was very clean and you were served at each station. Our waitress London was amazing and very attentive. She even accommodated our large party since it was my daughters birthday. She ensured that we had everything we needed. Thank you London and Golden Corral formaking my daughters birthday during this pandemic such a special event.
Payed 38$ for 2 people. Place was filthy. Food looked awful. The atmosphere of the entire place was unpleasant. We walked out after a salad. Didn’t even bother to ask for a refund. The carpets were filthy. My husband was wearing shorts and felt like bugs were biting him. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. I only gave 1 star because it wouldn’t allow less.
First visit there. We were very disappointed with the food. Not what we were expecting.Service was very good however.Received a response from owner. Did not sign his name, just put owner. On a good note,the place was very clean,and Jennifer our server was so nice.Now for the problem. We will never go back there again. Both of our food was very under cooked. My wifes fried chicken was not done at all, but she didnt notice it until she ate half of it. My sausages were raw - they were red inside and I had to spit it out, same with the bacon. My wife started not feeling well, and when we got home, she was very sick and she thought it was because of something to do with the food.Im sure that other people have been happy there, and of course, I cant speak for everyone, but this is the experience that we had.
This was the very worst Golden Coral Ive ever been to. I have been to several in several different states and this by far was the worst. The rug is dirty and stained horribly with food crumbs in amounts easily noticed in many areas of the restaurant. The bin holding clean plates was dirty. We finished our first plate before the waitress even came to the table. The cheese burger, fish, meat loaf and several vegetables were dry and over cooked. There was a fly buzzing around the food. It was awful. Will never eat there again and will let my family and friends know. Shame on them.
Golden Corral is a great chain of all you can eat buffets. This one somehow misses. The things that are missing are the grill cook rarely at his post creating never-ending lines, the selection isnt near what their better locations carry, and restocking seems to only after customers ask. Personally not a fan of this particular restaurant.
Went to this location with my wife son and his girlfriend while my son is home on leave from the Marines, we are spending as much time as we can with him before he leaves again. I am paralyzed and in a wheelchair, I had to use the facilities while there and when entering the bathroom that they say is handicap accessible I went in and no matter which way , it was impossible to shut the door for privacy, so unfortunately I had to use other measures and other customers started walking in , i was humiliated!!!! The one gentleman ended up helping me then another gentleman walked in and was trying to help by shielding me , and then a poor kid walked in and the look on his face made me even more upset.I after the nightmare was over went out and right to the manager, took him to the bathroom yes needless to say I was infuriated and showed him just how not acceptable that was and they are not equipped for people in wheelchairs.So my recommendation is that if your out with your family and any are in a wheelchair DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
My friend and I drove to this location because it was the closest one and were not disappointed. The service was very good and the food was very good too. The only thing keeping it from a 5 star review was that the dessert bar wasnt looking very good. The ice cream machine wasnt working, the hard ice cream tasted horrible and their was only scraps left for the other options. I would definitely go again since the dinner totally filled me up, though hopefully the dessert bar will get some attention.
This is my first time back here at Golden Coral in Middletown, NY after they re-opened this establishment since the start of the pandemic. As always, the food here is great, the variety of food offered is tremendous, and my server, Victoria, has done an excellent job serving me and catering to my needs. She is prompt, accurate, and friendly, just the way all servers everywhere should be. Also, I really like all the good measures that management has taken here in restructuring their restaurant and how they serve their guests here so that all guests who come here will be able to eat here safely given the pandemic were in. I do need to mention that some of the food here could be just a little bit warmer after I receive it from the buffet table where its kept warm. Perhaps the temperature of the buffet tables could be increased a little bit so that the food can be warmer, and therefore, even more enjoyable to eat than it already is. This is my only concern regarding this establishment. Otherwise, overall, the Golden Corral in Middletown, NY is a great and safe place to eat and I will be coming here again and again in the future! 👍
We went for lunch from the time we got there to the time we left our experience as bad. When we got back to the table half of our food was cold. The steaks we ordered had more fat on it than meat. They had a tiny choice for kids food. Definitely not worth the money they’re charging.
Under the new ownership this restaurant is great. I thoroughly enjoy the food - tastes fresh. My family loves the grilled to order steaks in particular. I love the fried chicken and the marinara sauce I wish I could buy from them - delicioso!. It is so nice to have an affordable place to eat for a family of four where everyone gets what they like and as much as they like. It is also refreshing to see the owners often working along side the staff; clearing tables, sweeping floors and carrying dishes to the kitchen. It is rare to see that but to me it shows a commitment to providing their customers with personal service. It also shows they care about supporting their employees. Hey team work makes the dream work, right? This place has a whole different welcoming vibe now. Kudos to the new owners, management, cooks, support staff and servers. You all are doing a great job.
Food was of expected quality. We had a girl in our little area where we were sitting. And she was always cleaning and keeping the place spotless. Like she got every single little thing. And she was also like extremely friendly and very hardworking. So yeah this place gets 4 stars but only because of Lexi the waitress
Update: I decided to give this restaurant another try post pandemic on Mothers Day 2021 because there was too long of a wait at the restaurant I originally planned to go to and the recent reviews seemed to suggest that the restaurant had improved. I was pleasantly surprised! As other post pandemic reviews have mentioned, the staff is amazing and the restaurant is so clean. It even looks like they got new carpets. They did a great job with their Covid precautions. None of the other restaurants Ive been to take the customers temperature. At the buffet, a server dishes the food for you. They were a little short staffed so sometimes you had to wait while they helped another customer but I didnt mind. At the salad and dessert station, they supplied gloves so you could help yourself and individually wrapped items. The food is still just average. No changes to the menu have been made. Soft serve ice cream and the chocolate fountain have been eliminated. A larger selection would be nice. Overall, the reasons I refused to return in the past appear to have been corrected. While it isnt my first choice given the lack of selection, its a nice clean place for my family to go when we want a more casual dining option outside of fast food and I would eat here again.I will not go back here again. The restaurant was disgusting. The carpet sticky from old food. It badly needed a shampoo. They might as well get rid of the carpet and just use flooring so they can mop. I found a long piece of hair on one of the serving spoons. They seemed to be short staffed, which led to bad service. There is not a large selection of food and they could have done a better job at cooking it and replenishing it. I did not enjoy most of it, although the steak and fried chicken was well seasoned. The cake Inhad was also delicious. Overall, not worth and money and I would highly suggest if you really want Golden Corral to take the drive to the one in Poughkeepsie. Ive been to the one in Middletown more than a couple of times, before and after it was shut down due to new ownership and each time ive been disappointed. This last time was the worst. Ive finally given up.
Welcome Back, Golden Corral, went for a day of shopping and we could not believe Golden Corral was open. After 7 long months of Covid, still counting, this is a welcome sight.Temperature check when you walk in - taken by a wonderful young lady.the food was cafeteria style serving, which was great! Only they handle the food, and being an older individual, it was like being in school again.The food was excellent, the fried chicken, the pot roast, the sweet potatoes with marshmallows, mac and cheese, OMG the shrimp.I was so happy, i think i lost count on how many times i got up...Oh and the steak, you tell the waitstaff, how u like it and they bring it to you. Our guy, was James, James , u rock, he is very attentive, and POLITE!This is how you should treat customers in times like this.We are definitely going back, and yes, people, i know its not fine dining, but, this is food you know you want, after 7 months of lockdown! I am already counting the days till we go back..
I went to Golden Corral in Middletown NY, with my fiancé & our 2 children (who are a handful) on thanksgiving.,it wasn’t how I remembered it, however the service was exceptionally good!, thanks to the young lady Jessica who was our server that evening & let me tell you, she was hilarious and very attentive! She made our evening worth it & so good with kids too! They loved her!
Visited on a Sunday early evening. Sweet potatoes came out cold, after over an hour wait. The chef behind the counter heated my plate up for me, and the potatoes were delicious! Other than that, the food was pretty good, could stand a little less salt. Very friendly cashier and dining area staff.
The food is good, however, we had to wait for silverware, over half of the selection of food trays were never put out, the food that was put out were 1/2 to 1/4 full. We were there 3 hours before closing and the restaurant was maybe 1/3 full of patrons on Sunday evening. The wall under the window where we were sitting was disgustingly dirty. We had to get our own drink refills because the waitstaff were more about talking to eachother rather that clearing the dishes, refilling drinks, and tending to customer needs.

I am glad to know this restaurant by chance, as first time I came here, the store manager Mr. Lerone he gave me VERY welcome. He brought the newly-cooked beef to my table. It tasted very good. The working staff are also friendly. Mrs. Joy she serve the table and constantly asked me if I need any help. I am VERY satisfied with their service.The food is very good.

Im a huge fan of the golden corral all over down south.My initial visits everything was fresh and well put together.Get this place as close to the branches in the southern states. We look forward to this on our way down. So having this place here is a blessing. Get it together is not the same. Nice selection of the food. However the chefs dont know how to cook steaks. They cook them on way to low of heat and to long. The first roll my kid had was hard, like I could throw it to Aaron Judge and hit could a homer with it. Good was really bland not like The South.... Yall know Im southern for those who follow me and I dont play with food. Last straw my daughter found hair baked into a roll. Never again😞😭 I really wanted to like this place like really wanted to. I wanted to be there every Sunday evening after service. Good thing is The server was so sweet. I will give her a thumps up Joy!!! Only reason for 2 stars Was Joy.
Meh. My family and I went on a Sunday at around 6 pm and the food selection was very sparse and the quality was very lacking. We had to wait for silverware after we sat down.It wasnt super busy, but theres no reason for the long wait on fresh food, silverware and drink refills.I understand food service and trying to keep food costs down, but at what cost? My family and I werent the only ones displeased with food selection and quality.We probably wont be back to this GC anytime soon.
Came in yesterday afternoon, there was a party going on it was fairly busy. But I have to say, the bar was fully stocked and fresh at all times. Although I only saw two servers, and it was busy everyone was helping one another out. Our servers name was Christina and even though there was much going on every time we finished a plate she was there to remove it for us, and was fast for refills. I love going places and seeing a great team. I will be back it was a great experience for my family.
Oh my goodness first time to a Golden Corral,I visited every time I went to Florida. I’ve been here three times and never been disappointed. I live in Jersey and I can’t seem to find one near me close enough everyone is over 50 miles away, and they all have a really bad reviews sorry to hear that. all I know is that the food the staff was excellent I really enjoyed it from all the different steaks to the chicken to so many sides to the carrot cake the pumpkin pie cake to all the chocolates OMG I couldn’t get enough of this place. Keep up the great work guys.
When it’s good, it’s very good. When it’s bad, it’s horrid. Offerings are either empty or have been left out for too long, rolls are often like chewing on a tire,...this is an easy fix; monitor the food better. It’s easier and cheaper to throw out old rolls than it is to regain a lost customer. Finding your favorite dish is “out” ...only to see it finally restocked as you are leaving is maddeningly. Lastly, having the waitress only show to introduce herself is such an obvious bid for a tip. This has happened a number of times. We see the waitress once, then no refills, plate removal...nothing. In a nutshell, there is nothing wrong that can’t be fixed by trying to build a more motivated staff.

We were very disappointed in this place. We have been to other Golden Corrals and were never treated the way we were here. We arrived at 630pm (when they close at 9) and when we got up to the carving section for a piece of steak, there was only the end left which was mainly fat. We asked if there was going to be another steak coming out and was given so much attitude. The cook came out from the back and came to our table and was rude and nasty. He said he was on his break but was coming out to cook a steak (Well yeah, your steak is gone and you dont close for another 2 and a half hours). There were no options at the dessert bar and no one to wait on us at the dessert bar for the ice cream. I DO NOT recommend this place at all!!
Sad display for a buffet restaurant. Arrived right in the heart of dinner time, restaurant was 1/4 full, and they couldnt keep up with restocking. Miserable effort, because a third of the places available for food had clean, empty trays...they werent even filling up the full layout of offerings. Waitress was attentive, but the dining experience, for $20.bucks a pop, SUCKED. Dont waste your time here...for $20 youll be treated and fed like a king at Texas Roadhouse a few blocks away.
Im sorry but lets start with the disgusting dishes. The lady gave me a take home box to use. Then there out of almost everything dont refill much and the food is cold. My kids asked for steak the guy serving had an attitude and steak all fat took it home to our dog but not worth $57.00 no plastic cups. So purchased bottled drinks. Sorry but this place is going down quick.
The food was just as good as I expected, the floor plan is very open and easy to move around without feeling overcrowded despite the amount of tables they have. The employees were very friendly. I have a feeling after going to many different Golden Corrals throughout my traveling that this is a rather good location.
This was the worst dining experience ever. This was our first time dining at a Golden Corral and we left within 10 - 20 minutes. I was asked if I wanted a drink refill twice and never got it. I feel bad complaining about the staff because it was obvious there was just too many people there and they couldnt handle it. Im sure they were trying their best. The food was bland and half of the dishes were empty. I know its a Saturday and very busy but come on. Complete waste of time and money. Would never return.
There was a sign that this particular Golden Corral recently had a grand reopening so my expectations were high. Food was fairly decent but the fried chicken was extremely greasy. My only criticism would be the dishes. We went to pick up dishes from the buffet stack and a lot of them were dirty. I went through about six dishes before finding a clean one. All in all it was a typical buffet style experience. Nothing really to write home about.
Took my family here on new years day, the service here was horrible. No servers came to take the plates away. No servers offer to get us refills. My fiance had to get up and go back into the lobby to get refills for the drinks. We paid about $60 for dinner and we were pretty much ignored the whole night. The tables around us, were getting cleared. We will never be coming here again!
So, the sign says under new management and it was very clear. The food was awesome, and more in=line with the GC I have seen when in theSouth. The staff and service were amazing as well. It seems the entire culture of the place has changed for the better. Case in point, I was the last in line for a steak and the grillmaster had to put a new piece on just for my son and I. Instead of making me stand there and wait another 15+ minutes, he took my plate, confirmed my table, and brought it to me when done! Surely that cant be expected all the time, but seems like new management has put out the word to go the extra mile when you can....I noticed..
Joy, our server, was phenomenal. Food was iffy on certain things. Some was cooked correctly and some not so much. I took a little of everything to sample before I actually made my plates. Desert was good just small selection especially for the chocolate fountain. I will come back in the future.
My husband and I went on the second day it was open. We got in there faster on day 2, then we did today, for lunch. Day 2, there was TONS of food, and it was spectacular! My first time ever eating at Golden Corral!! Today.. There wasnt much food, a lot of it was older, and what WAS there, was cold. For how many people were jam packed in there today, I am highly disappointed in how little food there was! Not to mention, the ice cream machine was down, and half of the silverware, and plates, were filthy! Definitely not worth the $25 we spent in there, for nothing! It almost makes me not want to go there again! For and establishment that JUST opened... Id expect better, than that!
Most of the food was great and our Waitress was on top of our drinks and dishes considering how crazy busy it was. Our grapefruit tasted like chemicals tho.My sister and I both tried it so I told our waitress. The waitress got a manager and he said I was wrong. Thought that was kind of rude. The area is over crowded with tables and the distance between tables and the food isnt wide enough. Also there is 1 bathroom for the volume of people they get.
I don’t understand how a franchise like this is even operating. 1st thing we came here last weeek to give it a try since it was under new management . When we went I think it was a Sunday we bought a gift card from Sams club which had $50 (2 gift cards split into $25 each) they nice waitress gave us a police/ veterans discount and we paid $7 difference. The food was barely filled but the food was ok. We went yesterday and omg ... we only went so we can get rid of our last gift card . When we entered all the cups were dirty, the waitress refused to give us the discount and they charged 15.99 instead of the $15.50 price that was advertised. The price says $15.50 per person and you should give what was advertised. When we went in the food was disgusting, i ask for ranch and the lady said they didn’t have any (how is that possible) the meat was still bloody and when I asked for a steak to get cooked the lady flat out said no .. this establishment is a complete disappointment. Never again.
Back again and still satisfied with the food and variety. I am especially pleased with the customer satisfaction efforts of the manager Jennifer and general manager Lance. They ensured that a situation presented to them was adequately addressed and rectified to my satisfaction. Thank you
Purposely went there because it was just off the highway and thought it would be fast. Had to wait entirely too long for food that was not ready. When we did get the steak it was one giant piece of fat. If I wanted a steak cooked to order I would have just gone to Texas Roadhouse. Half the dishes were empty. The other half were cold. Waitress was very nice
Been to this location a few times... On the Friday my family went it was not crowded(good thing) but to get a drink you needed to hunt someone down... Food was pretty good but there was some special weekend that changed a few food items which was a reason to raise the prices (didnt count on that). Had I known that was going to be case I would have gone next door to Texas roadhouse for my pick of steak for the same price and Im sure I would have had better luck getting a drink. Food is meh. Service is really bad, especially considering its a buffet. Lots of complaints the last time we were there. Cold food, accumulating empty plates, cant track down the waitress to get refills on drinks. Steak is dead cold. New plates are dirty. No butter in the whole place. Come on, really? No refunds sign by the exit. Of course. Wrote to corporate, never heard back. They place used to be decent. What happened?
Took my Mother three for a birthday lunch. The food was good, our waitress was fantastic. When I asked if they did anything for birthdays she said yes. She then got some other employees together and with a plate of several different deserts came to the table and sang happy birthday to Mom.
Went there when previous owners had it.....was awful. This is the second time since new owners took over. First time for lunch this time for dinner. The whole place is 150% better! Better food and hot and fresh! Better staff. I watched a young man who worked there escort a lady who was walking with a cane holding her plate for her while she got her food and then helped her back to her seat! I was so impressed! Nice nice place!!!
One of the worst experiences Ive ever had. Under cooked steak. Under cooked chicken. No ice cream. No fountain soda. The mens toilet was clogged when my husband went to use the restroom .no food selection either. Definitely wouldnt recommend this place. They definitely wont be seeing me again.
Yesterday was my first time at the one in Middletown and sad to say it was horrible, not much of a variety as expected, food was not hot or fresh, Macaroni and potato salad was dried out, salad bar veggies were half frozen, dessert looked and tasted as if it was sitting out all day, cups and dishes werent so clean and dessert bar workers were very lazy and rude. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
Let me begin by saying that this is my second review on the Golden corral in Middletown NY, the first one was when it first opened and was under a different owner/management than it is now. At the time I gave my first review it had just newly opened and I gave it a great review and the reason for it is that it truly was very good. Then, as time went on and the original Managers and staff began to leave, the cleanliness, quality, and just about everything else suffered greatly. And near the end I ended up revising my review to just one star, (and to be honest it was one too many). But that was then and this is now! Its under new ownership with owners that take great pride in their customer satisfaction, Ive had the pleasure of meeting two of the owners (Cleon and Robert) and theyre both great people. You could not ask for or find a better manager that they have than Lance whos always willing to go the extra mile in making sure that everything is perfect and that his customers are completely happy, theres even been times that my wife and myself have been there and they happened to run out of an item that we like he actually got in his car and went and purchased it and brought it back for us to enjoy, now thats what I would call going out of the way for the customers. Thanks Lance we greatly appreciate it. And for the other managers and support staff (Maria, Laron, Symphony)who are always there to greet you with a smile and a handshake and taking great pride as well in making sure that everything is clean, fresh, and running smoothly, they truly care about their customers satisfaction.So if you havent been to the Middletown New York Golden Corral lately and youre looking for a good meal for a reasonable price I would highly recommend going back and giving it another try, for it truly is a much better place then the former. Clean environment, fresh food and an excellent staff. And when you do go and if you happen to see/find something that is not quite right let them know and they will definitely go out of their way to correct the problem and make it right.From My wife and me, thank you Golden corral staff for all that you do.
Place is so much worse than it was before. Everyone that works there HAS A CRIMINAL RECORD. Why would I want to eat food that’s made by people who just got out of jail? What a fail this place is. I was really looking forward to coming back and trying it under “new ownership” but I see that they still have the same management team as before I don’t get it? Business fails you start fresh but I guess new owners aren’t that intelligent. I will not be back and I don’t recommend anyone to come here the food was cold and gross.
This location recently reopened under new management. Our server, Stef, was quite candid about the circumstances that caused the restaurant to close earlier this year. We were there at 5pm on a Sunday and walked right in, which was unusual, but consistent with our server’s explanation. It was obvious the new owners were going out of their way to be friendly, clean up quickly, and restore the brand’s reputation within the local community. The food was prepared to the company standards and was consistent with the food at other Golden Corral locations (I’ve eaten at locations in IN, MD, SC, FL, NJ and Wallkill, NY). I’m willing to give this location another chance and hope you will too.
We tried a few times to go, but it has always been too busy. On our last attempt, we decided to wait and got in. The line to get in is slow, but it was busy. While in the line, near the iced tea machines, there were so many fruit flies. I was swatting the flies away from me. We were finally seated and the insects did not stop. At the table we were bombarded with flies. So, so, so many flies.The food area, at about 7:30pm was not properly marked. All the labels were still for breakfast foods. However, all the food was good.Our waitress name was Tiffany. She was wonderful. Very pleasant, very attentive.Five stars for Tiffany, but Id give the restaurant maybe two. They need to pay attention to the details and keep it clean. Overall score, 3 stars.
Good food, family atmosphere. Not the best bang for your buck but pretty darn close. BE GUARDED!, the food and service tends to change dramatically as the shifts change. My family and I ate there quite often when the house was being painted. The change in quality via shift change became very apparent.
We normally love this place, but they did not have enough help and we had to clear our own table and get our own soda. Also they ran out of a lot of items including their featured item spare ribs. We were there for 2 hours and I didnt get 1 rib. NEVER GO THERE ON A HOLIDAY.
I went yesterday (Sunday) with my husband, my son and his parents. To begin with we traveled to this Golden Corral from very far away since it was the closest one to us. As I get there the cashier in on her phone and Im waiting for her to greet me or whatever and she says Oh you have to get your cups first and then the waitress will refill you. We went and grabbed our cups and then I ask her how much is it for adults and kids? She was saying the prices so fast that I couldnt understand. I asked her again and she got an attitude and flipped her computer screen and showed me the prices on their without speaking and left. Then she came back and I handed her my debit card and she swiped and gave me my receipt with a rude look on her face. Anyways another problem was the waitress they never came around and asked if we needed anything or a refill. It was hard to get a hold of the waitress. They were dirty plates in the clean plate section. One of the plates had food on it still in the bottom and it looked so disgusting.
Corporate is taking too many short cuts.When it open a couple of years ago the restaurant did not have an issue. Just this reopening should have clean rugs! The final straw is at the risk of dining out with the family! Okay the food is a hit and miss now then before the reopening. But your deserts should not be! And children shouldnt be spitting out ice cream! In fact what we experienced wasnt ice cream, but flavored frozen water. The scoop ice cream was nasty just as the fake soft ice cream. I will return in two months. If the dessert issue isnt remedied by then, Im going across the street to the other family dining restaurants! I wouldnt pitty this store if it closes! Oh the flooring needs to be steamed cleaned, or replaced please!
The food sucked i never ate such bad food in my life, the chicken smelt like propane and looked like road kill the unsweetened ice tea tasted like a wet plastic bag, a different type of chicken was raw but the coating on the chicken looked like dried clay and the salad bar was not fresh at all and there was only half of the amount of usual desserts, the service was good but everything else was terrible worst $42 I spent in my life.
I have been to this Golden Corral 5 times in the last 3 months and all 5 times it was good. I am from the South and I see a lot of these reviews and not trying to be rude, well yes I am. They a bunch of dumb !@# Yankees!! that dont know good food. It is a Southern Buffet not no northern five star fancy restaurant.
I found this golden corral to be very good, food-wise. Yeah, the servers seem to be all over the place, but it IS a buffet and you can just get whatever you need yourself. The first time we went our server was very attentive, checking on us, clearing the table, etc. Now, I have never been to a true Golden Corral in the south, and I think that too many people are comparing this one to southern restaurants, which Ive heard are very good. The 2 or 3 times Ive been to this one there was plenty of food, restocked frequently and the food looked and tasted very good.
Im not going to say its bad .. But i felt very uncomfortable the employees seem to cater to the hispanic people not being hispanic myself or my family it made it a very uncomfortable dinner like they didnt want us there .. So we will not be returning. Example : wait for 20 min to get steak and the guy serving it hispanic gave everyone else hispanic first while we stood there .. I Know we were there first ! I finally had to say something and then we got the worst piece of meat .. Wait staff didnt come to our table it was not a good experience.
Compared to the ones Ive been to down south, I would give this place 1 star. Not a big variety a all. Thats the most disappointing thing. Sometimes the food is luke warm at best. The people there are pretty nice and can be helpful. I might go back but I wouldnt recommend this place to many people. I really want to but if youve been to one down south, your expectations will be too high. giving more options and keeping the food hot and filled will really help a lot
My wife, myself and son all had stomach issues after eating here. The fresh roll and cake was the best part of my meal..... Also my wife stated she got a plate from the Clean section and her plate was covered with grease. This location went down hill fast, only my 2nd visit here 1st was when it 1st opened which was not too bad, this time not good at all.
Ate here with a friend as a first time experience. I wasnt expecting much but was nonetheless disappointed. Not intending to go back - the service was poor ( our table was dirty when we got to it and our server never took our own dirty plates off the table the whole time we were there), the food was mediocre (the only items I liked were the meatloaf, Mac and cheese, and corn bread, and I was hardly inclined to try much else - there were stray potato chips in the chicken and the other items looked like they had been out forever, there was a thick film over the nacho cheese for example) and most importantly, what I did eat had my stomach aching and me running to the bathroom for the rest of the day. On top of that, they charge for refills on drinks despite being a buffet and the cost of eating for just myself at lunch was $20! Why wouldnt I just go to the Boston Market less than 5 minutes away?
A large array of all- you-can-eat food. The salad section has healthy fresh selections. There are plenty of meat and poultry dishes from pot roast to fried chicken. They also have a carving station. Sides includes mash potatoes, Asian rice, sweet potatoes with marshmallows. Kid friendly items too. Desserts include ice cream, cakes, pies, fresh fruit, chocolate fountain, puddings, etc.You may have to wait for your favorite dish. Some foods sit in the tray too long and can get dry. Seating is tight and it can get pretty crowded.For the most part, its a good place to eat. Really friendly staff. Family and group friendly.
Nasty what I imagine prison food would be like .everything taste a little weird and the selection wasnt great had no way of knowing what anything was because nothing was labeled . Jeff you let me down more like worst buffet in the world . Sorry to be negative but this place sucked better off at any other Chinese buffet at least the food is edible. I give 2 stars because staff was nice but man the slop you guy are making for what a couple more pennies profit
The food isnt up to par. Ive been to numerous Golden Corrals and this is by far the worst. Plates and utensils were dirty. There wasnt anything in the buffet and it was it was old & dry looking. The waiter didnt even introduce himself & only reason we got any attention is because I asked if anyone could refill my drink. Definitely the first and last visit.
I have to say after reading all the reviews I was very skeptical to come to this location. After taking the risk the wife n myself where so amazed and content. We are glad to say that this is our first time to this location so we can only critique and judge from now not before.With that said. The walk in was normal. The place does not smell or look dirty. In fact we smelled delicious food being made when we first walked in. The tables and chairs where comfortable. The food looked great and tasted even better then I expected. The line for the grill master was a bit longer but in his defense he did say he was standing there all day from the morning and we got there after 6pm so I can understand if was tired. He did a great job cooking my steak. I personally think he should have a different part of the area where he doesnt create lines and clutter by other foods but thats not possible since some people dont have common sense anyway to move out the way for others but anyway. The bathroom needs some serious tending too the hole nine yards. My wife said the womans wasnt bad but the males room needs some cleaning. The staff was friendly. Our server was Marnasha. Nice young lady very attentive. Im glad to say that our trip from long island was not a failure. We enjoyed our food and our time out here. The outlets were amazing aswell. We will return next time we come shopping. We hope that it stays the same or gets better. We did noticed it said grand RE opening. So great job new management you have done an awesome job keep it up. I should of known as soon as I pulled in the parking lot....There was no cars there for breakfast on a sunday morning.Once me and the family went in the place was empty,made me think of leaving also.Not only was the place empty but also the food selection.The food was cold.Received a attitude when I asked for fresh food.The waitress seemed a lil dazed..Just overall a bad experience. Would never go back.NEVER!!!
We went to the new Golden Corral in Middletown, NY last Wednesday. After hearing so many great reviews from people who have eat at other Golden Corrals in other locations, we were looking forward to a great experience. The disappointment caused by the lack of silverware, bad management, trays of food not being refilled by the staff so people had to stand around waiting and asking for the item supposed to be in the tray, limited choice of food items to choose from, the bathroom lacking toilet paper and soap, the lack of signs telling what the food item was and the manager who used as an excuse, well, we are only opened 3 weeks. Even the soft serve ice cream machine was out of order. This location should not have opened until they were completely ready and the manager(s) should have been knowledgeable not just making excuses for why they were so poorly prepared. We will never go back there and after telling all our friends, they will not go there either.
Very clean. Staff was exceedingly polite. Food is far better than you would expect from a chain restaurant. Steak was outstanding. Some fat slob was giving manager a hard time about the reviews. Didnt stop the slob from eating like a pig at the trough the day before slaughter. If its so bad why is it so busy? If all you pigs dont want to eat at Golden Corral go back to Mc Donalds and eat the crap youve grown to enjoy. Without all you slobs in line there will be more room for people that enjoy a good meal. If Hillary promised you free Golden Corral I bet you wouldnt cry about it.
Not answering telephone. Google says open but they are closed. Not sure if they are still in business? The noise was not good but the food was. Hope they come back.I want to add something to this review. On Veterans day these people gave us a free dinner. The place was jammed. So many veterans came, some in wheel chairs. You know that they proved they care about us. I and many will never forget that kindness. What a nice thing to do. I am sure that it was expensive, but I know that the veterans that ate that day, will come back again and again. God Bless you people at GC and God Bless America!
Very few of the items were labeled & one or two were labeled incorrectly. The food itself was pretty good but it was dinnertime & no-one was at the grilling station to get steak. The wings, which is their big promotion right now, were only being filled a few in the pan at a time. In fact one flavor there was only one wing so my husband & I had to share it.The BIG issue was the mens bathroom. It was completely disgusting. Apparently it clogged at one point & several customers had still used it to the point where there were piles of waste & toilet paper on the floor, one customer after another. Apparently no one reported it to management until I did, But they must boot have been doing routine checks of the restrooms for it to get that bad.
Good selection of food. Many dishes were too salty. What really surprises me is that they don’t serve butter or cook with it and when I asked, I was actually told it’s because butter isn’t healthy. These people are very out of touch with health care standards if they think margarine is healthier than butter. And if chefs refuse to cook with margarine maybe these cooks should, too.
Was there Saturday night around 7pm. First off they have not heat it was 64 degrees in restaurant. Second thing is they werent serving prime rib or shrimp like they advertise. Third off food was cold and not stocked up and salad bar was dirty. Maybe somebody should do something about management t.Mwwrapping
The food was pretty bad, salad bar didn’t have any spinach and the lettuce was a bit brown. Most Golden Corrals have placards above the food describing what the food is, what the calorie values are and if there’s any pork in it. These placards were there above the food but the food underneath them was not matching the description. I noticed the food was pretty much just placed anywhere and that the placards really had no value at all! I guess things like that just don’t matter to the employees who place the food on the buffet or they simply can’t read.I’ll remember to not go to this Golden Corral again.
After getting to this Golden Coral I noticed the food was cold when I put it on my plate when I got to the table I could not eat the food because is was already cold, I wanted to go see what else I could find to eat that was hot enough and what I found was dry surface food that was not turned over to make it look good to eat. The food if not turned or moved may have a dry look to it. At this time at my Table I was getting a stomach pain after eating a few cold dishes I guess eating cold food can create a bit of discomfort I noticed a few employees talking and chatting among themselves and were not attending the food presentation to making sure the food was looking its best . This is what made me comment on my own experience . Ooh, and most of the food had alot of Salt I started drinking more water to balance out the salt in take. I had recovered from getting the Runs. Golden Corral should lower its food salt content and keep foods nice and hot . I give them three stars . The steaks were good and Salty but lower the salt let customers like me add the salt if needed. Maybe Ill come back and rewrite a positive food review.
Kept finding Hairs in food. Empty trays everytime went up. Ran out of steak no taco meat for tacos no shrimp no ice cream except strawberry which ran out and had to ask for it but no one was ever there had to argue for steak the lady said she was a manager but kept yelling about not giving us steak group of 12 came to celebrate a birthday but idk if it was from us asking for steak on the day steak is an advertised meal but no one came to sing when we were there im told that they came over as everyone was leaving. Just an update I posted this weeks ago and they pretended by saying visit the site and we’ll contact you. I also did the survey. Nobody reached out. That’s why they stay gross at this location. They don’t care.
We came in for breakfast this morning and Christina was the server running the floor. This girl is a rockstar! She was taking care of everyone she was so kind, and regardless of how busy she was she made sure we were ok at all times. The food was fresh and the bathrooms were super clean. We will be back!
We give low rating because rugs very stained and sticky. Water is leeks from the roof and was very hot inside. Seats ripped open. Bathrooms very dirty and doors dont lock. New plates dirty and dried up food on them. Drinks are not included in meal price drinks extra. The chefs are not very nice frowning hole time and touch food with no gloves. Our waitress jen so busy chatting with waitresses to clear out table 6 plates an she finally take them so took our silverware but didnt give us new ones. Very hi school acting waitresses when I ask Karen for soda refill she told us she not our waitress and to ask the waitress rolling hers eyes. Chicken very salty and rice very undercooked it was hard. Food tastes old and reheated. Leone very big man with very big smile. Jenniffer at register very nice girl. Thank you Leone and jenniffer for being polite and professional I hope the others follow there lead or just hire new persons already. Please fix these issues before you are shut down again we love goldan coral but not this one. Dont waste your time or money
Food needs to improve more as it was when the new owner took over. The quality of the food has dropped somewhat. Also, bathroom needs air fresheners as it smells horrible. Was a little disappointed at the quality of the food and the smell of the female bathroom. Put air fresheners in there to freshen it up.
My family and I was there last night and I will not be going back there. The food was not good at all the service was trouble. We didnt have a person come to our table to let us know what her/him name was every time we needed something we just asked someone. Nobody came to clean our table off. The workers was rude if they run out of something they didnt have any more at all. I really give that place a triple F.
Its ok. The food is heavy and bland. Also there is meat in everything. Even the vegetables. Vegetables should be left alone. No meat is needed to enhance a vegetable. There is enough meat available if thats what you want. But leave the veggies alone please. The salad bar is the best option. Good dessert menu. Staff is friendly. The game room next door is fun and worth the trip.
Just left, the food and service was horrible!Our server (S) had the worst stuck up attitude and her and another server were paying no mind to their tables they looked like they were just gossiping while the other server that was working was the only one checking on her tables. Im very disappointed, the food was cold, and over seasoned. Carpets looked like they haven’t been cleaned since the place opened. I will NOT be back after today. Management needs to get a hold on their staff. This place is just as bad as before.
The food was awesome. Staff where ok, they seemed like they are overworked.The reason I took off two stars is because I have never seen or smelled such a horrible mens bathroom. It seemed like death. If I didnt have to go so bad I would of held it till I got home. So minus two stars for that bad experience.
Words cannot explain how abhorrent this place is. I wouldnt eat here for free. You probably have better conditions at a soup kitchen.First off, the service is horrid. Just walking in is confusing because you dont get a waiter and you are supposed to wait in line to be seated, and while waiting you grab a cup to poor yourself to drink, and then you pay for entry, and then you are seated. Even Chinese buffets have service at your table and at least bring you a drink. Anyway, they told us someone would come to our table to get us drinks and we waited for 20 minutes before we had to get up and get them ourselves. Refills? Walk back to the middle of the line where people are waiting for entry and push through just to fill your drinks.The place was overcrowded and the conditions are very poor. Before entering we already heard the employees talking about the BS that goes on in there. There are no ceilings and there is wiring and insulation exposed. The food was disgusting. It was all over salty and they had small trays that were constantly running empty. In general its poor quality meat and very disgusting recipes. Its also pretty ghetto and in turn extremely loud.I would never come back here or recommend coming here. If Gordon Ramsay had visited this place, he would have heart attacks and aneurysms multiple times over...This place does EVERYTHING wrong. Its better eating at McDonalds than this place.Terrible!!!!!!
I specifically asked the manager f the food was processed with either peanuts and/or tree nuts as we have a high peanut/tree nuts allergy in the family. She said they do not use any of these ingredients. When we went to the buffet there are signs all over the protective glass saying there IS these ingredients in the food. When I asked the manager to refund my card he passed it off to the same manager that misinformed me and she gave me an attitude. BE CAREFUL if you have allergys when eating here! They dont seem to care!!!
Food was on the above average side of mediocre. Our waiter was great. The reason they receive 3 stars from me is due to one of the serving staff behind one of the food stations. I have small well kept dreadlocks and under his breath, as I walked by, this specific man says Whyd ya do that to you hair, man! It was barely audible but I have super hearing. The funny thing was, this man, who just so happened to be a black male, had hair that was longer than mine, and fully iron pressed. Think Andre 3000 from Outkast in the Hey ya video. Yeah!!!! I come to your establishment for cheap food. Not for a makeover or hair tips.
I want to like this place but its expensive and the food is always hard and dry. It tastes old. I got some shrimp on a stick and they were burnt and black. The Fried ravioli were rubbery. If it was 8 or 10 bucks to eat here-- maybe. But its closer to 20 for food that just isnt good-- like a highschool lunch smorgersboard. Its really disappointing because I miss the days of Ponderosa and Sizzler and Hometown Buffet but-- I have to stick with any of the Chinese buffets over this place as it is currently, unfortunately. Bring on the stir fry :/
Wow ! What a place. Never again ! First of all they ran out of juice. Then they ran out of shredded cheddar cheese . Which I like to have on my tacos. Then I got the pasta and sauce, but they ran out of parmesan cheese . Then I ask the guy working the grill, if he was going to make more cheese burger sliders, he said No ! I said really, its only 5:30 pm on a Friday. Then I complained to the girl working the register, she said the manager is out, and he should be back in a few. I said tell him to come and speak to me. Of course he never did. What a really bad place , and over priced . And most of the food is cold.

2022-05-09I was unfortunately disappointed with my experience here. My family took my mother here for mothers day. A buffet sounded like a great idea but the food was really a hit or miss. Fried chicken was terrible, but the fish & shrimp were delicious! Fries were too salty. They have a good selection of desserts although small. Mainly cakes. What really bothered me about this place was how used/ dirty some of the glassware/utensils/plates were. Like ewww Ive never been to a restaurant where their glassware/utensils/plates werent squeaky clean. That was gross & turned me off. How hard is it to have clean stuff?!? Our server, Victoria, was amazing though! She was kind & kept checking in with us to make sure we found everything okay. I dont know if Ill return. My mother enjoyed her time there, however, so thats good.

2022-02-10A dying American classic. The staff here were friendly and accommodating. Expect classic American home cooked items. Pot roast, buttery corn, brisket, pulled pork, peach cobbler, cake, tater tots, mashed potatoes, greens, several gravies, peas, sweet potatoes, nachos, tacos, fried chicken, shrimp, bacon, and an endless line of salad, dressings, and fixins.With some updating in menu, decor, and branding (which would reflect contemporary culture) this lovable chain could be restored to the brilliance its seen previously.

2022-01-01Taste worse than school lunch. All the hot tables are covered with spills. Cross contamination much? Not living up to the Golden Corral standard that I’ve come to know. Very disappointed we wasted money and time.

2022-05-22Food is nasty with little to no options as far as variety goes. Mac and cheese was refrigerator cold. Ice cream machine broken, slushy machine broken. By far the worst Golden Corral I’ve ever ate at. Workers are very lazy. Manger ignored complaints.

2022-05-10I came to Golden Corral today with my mom for her birthday, figuring we’d give them a shot again after a while of not going because the food was poor, well today we were graciously shocked when the food & service was absolutely AMAZING! Shout out to James the assistant manager for doing a wonderful job bringing Golden Corral back up to par & Kasey for her wonderful personality & her tendency to keep checking up on us & making sure we were enjoying our stay! She even brought my steak to me! Outstanding service, they deserve a raise & praise from the boss 😉

2022-04-29What a pleasant Sunday outing! The food was very enjoyable We liked the idea of each tray only having a small amount of food in it because then it stayed fresh! Not sure if this was planned that way but it worked. We just missed having ice cream. Cant wait to go back!

2022-04-18Went here for Easter dinner. Had not been there in 2 years. HIGHLY disappointed. Went through about 20 plates to find a clean one. Fried chicken hard,never refilled ham or mushrooms, no mayo in crab salad, when asked manager, he did not give a hoot about anything at all, dessert were horrible, no chocolate fountain, no ice cream, when asked pink haired worker about it , she rolled her eyes and said no one wanted to be there. Bowls for soup were all crusty. Shrimp was good, potatoes were good, fish was good. Some foods were super salty. 3 of our family felt terrible after eating there. Bathrooms were beyond filthy. Wont waste our money there again.

2022-04-12Selections for lunch limited. Fried chicken not very tasty and hard crust. Decent meatloaf. Roast chicken was tasty. String beans salty. Mac and cheese needed salt and pepper. White rice with brown gravy delicious.

2022-01-18You wouldn’t think that a corporate buffet would be good, but EVERYTHING was so flavorful! From the pickles, taco meat and the steak! The waitress Natalie and the manager/host James were super nice, professional and attentive. I will definitely be back!

2022-04-24This was my 2nd time visiting. And I must say it was another awesome visit. The Manger James took good care of us. And the waitress was very good also. She kept checking on us and making sure we were good. I would recommend this restaurant to my family and Friends
