Golden Gate in other cities:
I used to go to this vendor when they had their own full restaurant. They then down-sized to a take out establishment. One thing that didnt change and is what sets them apart is their preparation of their fried rice. Hands down it is THE BEST!! Case closed.
Typical hole in the wall delivery place. The food is ok and delivery is generally within a reasonable timeframe. There can be some language issues when you call but you can order online from either seamless or grubhub (only one, but I dont remember which). Not super clean but not as scary as the other place on 231st. One of our main 2-3 Chinese food delivery places in the neighborhood.
Second time ordering here, I made a huge order today and in my General TSO there’s a broken glass !! Are you kidding? I showed my mom and I called the Chinese store right away.,. I returned my food which cost $7.57, I was only given $5 back...
Wow , dont order from here... its bad business with negative energies. The guy who takes the order messed up my order when i repeated it to him 4timessssssssssss. Call to explained my grivence on their mistake but nooo it was my fault ...anyways terrrrrible place ran by uncultured and discriminative individual unaware of the ppl helping them with their businessss....
The ribs here are the best Ive had pretty much any where. Free mini eggs rolls dont hurt either.

2021-06-26Hmm. I was super pumped about ordering from here because of all the raving reviews. The food was...fine. I ate it, but I doubt well order from here again :( The delivery (from Seamless) was faster than indicated, BUT the flavors were disappointing. The Broccoli and Garlic Sauce tasted like straight up sugar. And the Sesame Tofu itself had good texture, but the sauce was gloopy and sweet. I requested both to be Hot & Spicy and neither had any heat. Meh.

2021-03-31I use to go to their restaurant on Johnston ave. This place doesnt disappoint. The burnt pork with string beans are delicious, the mini egg rolls OMG genius! As my 10 yr old son said. 😊. Definitely our go to from now on.

2021-09-22The dimsums had a very thick layer is flour, very less filling inside. The egg rolls were okay. I liked the wings. Would give 3/5. Just a once a visit place.

2020-07-30My time visiting Golden Gate was amazing. There is amazing service and the staff were all welcoming and excited to receive my order. They made the order in a timely manner and the food was excellent. The food was well priced. I could not have visited a better Chinese Restaurant in the area. I will definitely be posting on Facebook to let all of my friends and family know. I will be coming back!!!!!!!!

2019-02-25The food is fine but the delivery and customer service is awful. I ordered my food at 6:05pm and by 7:55pm our food has still not been delivered. I called and they couldn’t even offer me more of a discount than taking off the tax. I should not have to wait two hours for food delivery that is less than a half mile away.Update: it took over 2 hours to get my food but the delivery driver was very apologetic and offered us a $10 refund. Not much for the amount of food we ordered but acceptable. Apparently, they were down some staff member, which evidently caused the whole system to collapse.

2019-07-29My Shrimp and broccoli tasted kind of old. My French fried had hair in it. I stopped eating both. Only thing I enjoyed was my can of Pepsi . I knew I should have walked back out by the way it looked. But I went with the don’t judge a book by its cover approach. Next time I go by judge the reviews approach. Smh.

2018-06-27Always super friendly and usually have a reasonable delivery time unless they’re very busy. Avereage - above average food for your typical Chinese place. Depending on who answers the phone you might run into some language issues or have to repeat the order twice but it’s not a big deal
