I just left this place and trying to figure out if I want to call the police or not because the owner just pushed me. To make a long story short, he said I was blocking his business where I was parking. I told him I’m a customer as well and didn’t realized I couldn’t park where I was parking. He was the nastiest business owner I have ever spoken to. He told me not to ever come back to his place and when I asked him why he was so upset over a simple misunderstanding of a parking spot; he pushed me and said you blocked my business. I don’t like drama and I don’t like confrontation so I’m seeking advice from you guys what would you do? The ladies in the store knew what he did but covering for their boss. There are cameras outside too so there’s evidence.
No beef patties, (temp kitchen issue) every thing else, not crowded for lunchtime, friendly staff
I don’t think I will be returning to this location or any other Golden Crust. The service is subpar. The employees are unhappy and unfortunately seem to be bothered by my being there. They’re borderline rude. There is a lingering negative energy and vibe. I asked about a new product that was being advertised and the employee responded by saying, “ I don’t know anything about that!?”.This place looks rundown and dirty. I wonder what letter grade it has received. It’s so disappointing because I genuinely like the brand and enjoy their product.I’m surprised this place has not gone out of business.I would get rid of the entire staff including manager and start from scratch. Retraining is not enough.

So disappointed been to many Golden Krust restaurants all over New York. It was no beef patties, plantains or cabbage available and I was told they didnt have it. They didnt offer any other side so sad felt like I paid way to much for not a good portion size. Plus missing all the key items that make the dishes worth buying. Service wasnt the greatest either I will not revisit that particular restaurant again.
Food and service needs improvement. I dont think I will ever return or send out referrals to this location. I am a fan of this chain but Ill pass on this one!
Not a bad place to get a quick lunch or breakfast but Ive noticed a few things. One thing that annoys me the most is you get small portions for the price you pay. You only get more if you have a Jamaican accent or you know one of the workers there. Do better please. Also there is no sign stating what is in the lunch menu deal. If I didnt know it came with a drink they will never say a word to you.

Was good. Strange how a chain restaurant can be different than another. Youd think theyd all taste exactly the same. Each chef puts in their own style of flavor.
Gosh the food here is great! Very tasty some of the items did not look that great but I tried some. Boy was I surprised. So I came back and bough small portions of many items maybe four. I shared them with my crewmates they were all like whats the name of that place? Where exactly is it? Yep Ill def be back. Pictures next time so you know what we had.
This was my first time at this establishment. I am a pescatarian and I ate the Whiting. I had spinach rice and cabbage. Excellent. I wish I lived close, I would frequent this establishment more. They are polite and the food is fresh. So if youre in the area, stop by. There is limited parking but youre likely to get a space when you go. They have standard Jamaican Cuisine and when I look at the oxtail my mouth started watering. LOL even though I cant eat it.
Excellent vibes and very affable service. The food was fresh and yummy. Will absolutely recommend this restaurant to my friends. Fair rates and big meals. Keep it up.
Im allergic to red bell peppers so I couldnt eat anything since everything had red bell peppers I had chicken that was very spicey with rice and beanBut the shirley biscuits were awesome and I had to go back for those. And I did have a little taste of the curry goat from my mans plate it was my first time having curry goat and it was good just have to have someone make me curry goat hold the red bell peppers. Enjoy!!
The dinners are great but the breakfast is ridiculous the small amount of food for the regular price amongst Jaimacan restaurants the containers are made to give the customers less. I will always skip this place for breakfast the afternoon staff and dinner food are a lot better.

My vegaterian options were, rice and peas. Plantains,steam veggies, and for my sweet treat..nice coconut buns. Food was nice and clean .. It much oil or too much seasoning. Visitor in the area, good place for a heavy meal.
When i tell you the food is on point. The food is on point. The most authentic jamaican food i have had in a while. Its well seasoned, spicey and flavorful. Excellent customer service and affordable. Great job guys🔥🔥🔥🔥
I called the night before about ordering 3 orders of mini beef patties. The woman on the phone told me when I come in it would be no problem. When I got there on my way to a party they told me it would be 30mins and i should have called ahead. I was livid. Then I figured I would buy whatever dried patties they had under the lamp and they wouldnt give me some kind of discount. The worker straight up said, nope. Terrible customer service. I will never go back.
The customer service was EXCELLENT! It was lunch time and I didnt have to wait long at all. There was more food than I could eat at one sitting. DELICIOUS!

The food is overpriced. Theres another Golden Crust less than 5 miles away and their food is cheaper and better. The young lady that was serving the food was counting the number of oxtails she was giving us, SMH. Im not paying almost $16.00 for 6 oxtails.
Ok... Been to many(Im from Brooklyn) and this is one has the BEST tasting food by far. Its in a bad location to get to(plus road construction) but you wont be disappointed.

Theres something unique about this Golden Crust, Ive experienced friendly staff desiring to meet my needs, great food at reasonable pricing, and my son can always grab his favorite drink alongside his Mac & cheese.
This place dont even worth a 1 star I was in there because i saw a now hiring posted on the outside and I kindly asked are you guys hiring the girl was like are you jamaican I said no she said we only hire Jamaicans. I felt the worst in my life . Question is if you know you only employ Jamaicans why not put Now Hiring Jamaicans only?. No Golden Crust will ever get back my money period.

2022-06-17So far, this is the best Golden Krust restaurant I have ever been experienced. The food is delicious! The service is great. The personnel is very polite. I will definitely recommend this location and definitely be back soon .

2022-04-13Honestly if I couldn’t put a star I would . Whoever the cashier on 4/13/2022 early morning at 9:00am HER ATTITUDE IS DISGUSTING . Crazy part is I always come in here but it’s always a different cashier. If it wasn’t so early and Didn’t have no energy to tell her about her self trust me I would of told her a** Some words but after today. I rather drive 10 extra to Jamaican flavors now . TELL YA CASHIER to learn customer service and come correct whole time she serving me with AirPods in her ears singing with her attitude Rolling her eyes. EWWWWW .

2022-05-07This is one of the worst golden krusts I’ve been to. They work sooooo slowwww! They NEVER have food and only seem to make enough food for 5 customers. Don’t go there if you’re actually hungry. Plus they’re way overpriced compared to every single golden krust I’ve visited

2022-01-06I was also a customer at the restaurant that same day the lady is talking about, the owner came in and asked who drives a car that’s blocking the entrance (he asked three times) to which no one responded. A lady then told him it was hers, he kindly asked her to remove it and park it at the front of the store which there was more than enough parking space, he then drove out. He dealt with the issue in a professional manner, I am only here because the lady threatened to leave a review. I have been going to this restaurant for years , the food and the service given is excellent reason why I keep going back.

2021-12-12First let me say if you are looking for service with a smile this is not the place. Cashier and servers are unwelcoming and dont even like answering basic questions. They shout and behave as though this place can survive without customers. However if I was ONLY RATING THE FOOD THEY GET 100% OR 5 STARS. God bless the chef because that is the only reason I go in that door. Just know if the chef leaves CS will not save you. It takes nothing to have service with a greeting or a now and then smile. I know people who no longer go because of the front end staff. 🙃

2021-10-25If youre looking for friendly staff and great customers service. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU! Carribean restaurants are notorious for being off putting but the food is usually worth it. The food quality here has always been pretty good. But on my last visit the porridge was not fresh, it was old and slimy and that was not the 1st time. Ive received other menu items where the frehness was questionable. You cant be bad in both food and service. Definitely wont be returning.

2021-09-20I call this excellent restaurant many times since I love the good air that is unique to this place. The staff is highly welcoming and professional. The service is absolutely efficient. Most important, the food they cook is good. I frequent often and I was always happy. The pay is reasobable. I recommend this restaurant to to all.
