While the food is OK the lady with the limp needs more training! She has no idea what customer service is or looks like. Every time I go in there her mask is beneath her chin, it’s COVID times. Simply unpleasant.

The food is really expensive now. I have been eating at that place since 2001-2019. On Thursday, December 19TH of 2019, I felt like having some stew peas and I did. I got a large stew peas. It was the stew peas by itself. I was charged $17 just for the stew peas. I started eating the stew peas in the car. When I got home I left the rest for later. Later, that day I started eating it again and my eldest daughter even had some too. While eating a piece of the pork tail I found a piece of metal embedded in it. I called and asked to speak to the manager, I was told the manager was not there. The person that I spoke to took my name and phone number, but I have yet receive a call from the manager. I went to the store on January 2nd 2020, to show them in person what I had found in my food. It was string from steel wool ball or ring that they use to clean the pots with. I gave the metal string to one of the female employees at counter.I will like to say thank you very much I will never eat at Golden Krust ever again. I see that they really appreciate their customers business.

My sister and I frequent this Golden Crist location. Mainly because of the outstanding and authentic flavor of the food. This restaurant is kept in pristine condition. Its always clean and sanitized. They have various types of deserts, fruits and drinks. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. If you cant decide on what to order theyll give you some advice on the nature of the ingredients and make recommendations.Im always content with the meals that I get at this Golden crust location. Stop by and try it out. You wont be disappointed!
This is by far the BEST golden krust restaurant Ive came across! Prices are reasonable and the oxtail was well seasoned and cooked properly! The fried chicken were too hard and very dry but the stew chicken, curry goat and goat head soup I ordered were all PERFECT!
I use to buy food from here around 2007 they were rude then. I stop supporting! Fast forward 2022 this is still one of the worst of the franchise! I was not greeted by any staff barely acknowledged. I placed my order the lady moved so slow as if her body was stiff. She grabbed about 3 patties before she placed one in the bag. Most of them had meat spilling out including mines. The meat that spilled out was obviously dried up and hard so was the outer crust of the patty! The patties were obviously sitting all day under the oven. I wont be returning to deal with attitude and over cooked food, when youre a paying customer! Jamaicans need to work on their customer service and learn how to interact with other races that patronize their business!
Im highly upset 😡 with my purchase . First time visiting this golden krust , I purchase 2 beef patties and coco bread . I received my order . I arrived at my location with my friend to eat when open the bags the breads (dark and stale )and patties is stale . Come on guys do better than that . If you have left over food and products check it before you serve it to customers . Im very upset 😡😒😕😔😞😤😡.
Plz do better! Ordered red pea soup, $10 for a large, maybe two little pieces of meat in the soup, then they must of found the two biggest bones in the pot and threw it in my container. Idk how as a business you do something like that. I wasn’t feeling good and I just wanted to grab something quick & go inside & that’s what I got. Won’t catch me again.

Wish I could give no stars. Was a customer for years would go there for lunch. Purchased a oxtail dinner for $20 halfway through I find a roach in my food. Contacted the owner and corporate who offered me only my $20 back.Horrified and sick will never go back! The answer provided was unacceptable! Inform the head cook that some how a roach was mixed in with the food! Proper response would be to shut that location down and exterminate! Youre demanding top dollar for your products however providing poor service. Board of health will be notified.

Best patties around, hands down. This is a convenient branch midcounty, so when Im in White Plains, I stop in and stock up. The only downside today was the person behind the counter was the least pleasant employee Ive ever encountered at a Golden Krust, and Ive been a customer at several of their stores over the years. Impatient, rolling eyes, exasperated sighs.... Im always polite with store staff. Thats the way my momma taught me to be. So Ill go back because I love the product, but this visit was not the best.
I will never return to a place that will sell STALE patties! I was so excited to learn there was a chain 15 mins from my Job to give me variety when buying lunch .. drove here and ordered a spicy beef and cheesy beef patty but didn’t bite in until I was across the street on the highway heading back to work at the end of my break .. when mi seh di patti tuff like rock is a real true ting! No sah never again .. If I had the time to turn around and throw them back in there I would have SMH
Very annoyed, I asked my son to get me a lunch portion of curry chicken today. He went with his debit card - didnt have cash on him when I called him. He waited in a long line at lunch time and went to pay. He was told the minimum for the card is $10.00 and then the cashier charged him 2 times for the one meal, instead of just maybe giving him the two meals, that would have been fair instead of charging him for two meals to allow him to use his debit card for the minimum.This is the second time I have experienced something at this place. First time was last year I went to get 1/2 lb of fried snapper - I was given one fish (no onions or peppers) (which felt really light to me). I weighed it at home and it was 3 ounces. I paid for half pound of fish and was given 3 ounces. What is going on at this place????
I told the lady I want 6 patties mild and 2 with coco bread..total 8 patties I wanted the 6 in a box..I was told only 12 goes in a box..Okay..I understand that. Now she gave me the 8 patties in separate bags and the 2 coco bread in another bag..That was not what I expected..I wanted the other 2 patties put between each coco bread...this is the way it normally served as I know..so I asked do I have to put then together myself...so another lady came over and started to put the coco bread and patty together..then walk away to answer a phone call..now I had to ask for my food..That was poor customer service..I like the food but..the Service is lacking..
In short it was the food . I almost feel bad saying this but it was the 2nd to worst food Ive had from a Golden Krust . . . The service was fine and the location is very convenient but as it was my first time going there I have to say it will be my last
I love Jamaican food, but this place is horrendous. I once ordered 3 dozen beef cocktail patties for a Christmas party and all but a few had NO FILLING!!! Brought them back, ask to speak to a manager, what are the empty patties, and she asked to see a receipt. I still had the container that they came in, with their handwriting of the baking instructions. She argued with me and I went out to my car and luckily was able to find the receipt. Went back into the store and demanded a refund. She said was sorry about that and seemed more interested in getting the order from the customer behind me.Unfortunately, I went back to this restaurant and gave him another chance. The service is absolutely terrible. They have absolutely zero sense of urgency in customer service. I ordered two patties for lunch, with one coco bread. One Patty was cold, as in less than room temperature, and the other was warm. I asked for the cold one to be replaced for the hot one, and the attendant told me that the patty cooled while I was eating the first one. I have eaten enough patties in my life to know that they do not cool in 3 and a half minutes while sitting in a heated car. I pushed back and insisted that the patty be replaced. The obnoxious woman sucked her teeth and then gave in.Never again. Theyre no longer the only game in town. Ill happily travel a little further and frequent an establishment and cares about their customers and is interested in good customer service.

Visited this location on October 13, 2017. Ordered the curry goat and veggie patties. The curry goat was tasty and the patty was good.The establishment was clean and parking is available in front or in dedicated parking lot at the side to the rear of building.Would definitely recommend to give this establishment a try!

Very poor customer service. They definitely need to improve on customer service and presentation. I went to the White Plains location and it was such a turnoff off. Will never go back! Basically got ignored while one staff was browsing through her phone and another guy taking a personal call over the food! Felt like I was on a street corner shop.
It took me 4 months to locate this restaurant , since l just relocated to white Plains. But my joy of locating this carrebian food joint just vanished and vow not to go back there. The staffs were rude , you don’t see what food you are been served , they are racis in a way that suggests that if you are not from Carrebian you not welcome, they speak with their heavy Jamaican ascent that makes it hard for you to understand them,they let their old Jamaican customers cross you ,Not friendly to welcome new non Jamaican customers by helping them know what kind of food sold there since the food were not displayed for you to decide what you want.menus are not properly displayed . Which l suggest physically displayed food at the front will have been better . Beef patty was horrible , staled and over cooked the fried dumpling are as hard as tennis ball.The oversized lady with the tight cloths quick to raise her voice on you. Owner must pay attention
This the worst place to buy jamaican food. If your chef cant cook please get another one l. This BIG disgrace to the jamaican culture. Come on man get your act together. Even if you using parboiled rice have somebody grater the coconut or blend it also jerk chicken dont do in oven.
The food is great every dish is always hot and fresh but some dishes are only served some days some arent ready for lunch or just finished and when you order the cashier acts like youre bothering her

I am very annoyed with using my debit card and after put in my PIN number and the sale go through the restaurant employees still want me to sign the reciept, or when you want to do debits the restaurant employees press credit why are they so interested in patrons signatures. that’s not good they can take your money twice.When you use your debit card you should not have to sign any receipt.Owner please change your policy.

Had the ox tails. The flavor was great as always. My disappointment was with the extra gravy. Ended up being a lot of grease under the rice. Was not happy with trip. Generally, food is on point.

Food has changed over the years it was great before but not lately and the customer service there omg they need to talk to their workers to be a lil more welcoming it’s like they don’t want to be there I mean as soon as we walk we see them and no smile at all very stick up for someone who is selling I would love to come more often but as soon as I think about how am being greeted I change my mind.

Was very disappointed with service theyre slow as all hell. acted as though you had had nothing better to do than to stand there on line. and when finally got the food.the cow foot they could have spent a little more time cleaning the hairs of them.thats not all but Im going to leave it there for now 😞
This place has the best beefpatys in town.Nice and friendly establishment I like everything about this place. They even have Jamaican Ice cream and other Jamaican treats. Like oxtail and other good stuff on the menu.

They server greeted me with a smile. The portion was good for the price. The plantains were sort of dried out though.
On more than one occasion, I stopped to this place on my way to work in the mornings and got to work late every time because the store was not opened on time, and they were late preparing the food. Mainly two choices in the morning, either patties or porridge.

2022-04-04Three days a week a work doubles, and ill take a break to grab something to eat here. I only eat fish and chicken, 4 times I purchased dinner and was given stale fry chicken and stale fry fish. I would give them a chance because I know it wont always be fresh, due to me going back to work I can never leave again to bring it back. Whatever the store doesnt sell the day before they should just throw it away, just like they want to save money. its not fair to customer to waste their money either. very disappointed in the tough food that I had to throw in the garbage.

2022-04-20I’ve been going to Golden Krust since i got of out high school in 2009 and i still go there ever since. it’s fresh and if you stop by and see a line inside to the door then you know why. To all the the Spicy lovers i personally recommend their Jerk chicken with any choice of rice i personal prefer their original which is rice and peas it’s the traditional way to go about the dish no regrets. Anyone who doesn’t have a spicy palate like myself but still would like a taste of the carribean i also recommended their Mild beef patty, entree, Stew chicken with rice and peas with veggies and enjoy your meal with their popular drinks called “TING” in a green bottle or their pineapple soda i strongly recommended to compliment your dish and you won’t be sorry. hope this helps and just enjoy.

2022-04-10Food is fabulous! I’ve been going to this location for years, however, the people they have working the register are embarrassing to the brand. I was told “I don’t have time for this just swipe” when I was placing my order. Funny part was I was the only customer in the restaurant. If you are mad that you are working the register on a Sunday take it up with your boss.

2018-09-30Let me tell you! I’m from Jamaica and I never expect the oxtail here to tun up so!! Best $11 I’ve spent in a long time! The serving was plentiful for leftovers which is always good. The meat was tender and juicy and it went well with the flavorful rice. I’m not sure what experience everyone else had but I loved it, they were not rude but very helpful. The cashier didn’t even want to serve me soup as it didn’t have enough meat, I’ll be back though. Also usually at a Jamaican restaurant everyone packed at the cashier shouting orders, here there was a line and though there was a wait it was worth it. My coworker bought me the stew peas one Tuesday and that too tasted very good. I’ll be going back!

2019-10-16Golden Krust will always be my favorite. The flavors are amazing and the plates are always full . Love the braised oxtail and would eat it over and over again! If you ever got the chance to try it , please do and get yourself a spicy beef patty to go with it ! They have many options going from Jerk chicken to curry lamb ! You have to try it out !
