Good Ground Park in Hampton Bays

I walked through the trails without taking a break for 5 minutes and when I exited my legs were covered in TICKS, some so small you could barely see. I’ve walked many trails but never had this problem with so many ticks. Nice park but not worth it because of the TICKS. Hopefully they take care of the problem without destroying the ecosystem.

2021-09-29The jungle gym is great for all kids. The trails are fun to walk, and you can ride your bike or scooter around the paved walkways throughout. Wonderful Thursday night concerts in the summer.

2022-01-03Beautiful park, but seems unsafe. There should be security or something. Both times I went I had unpleasant encounters. Such a shame.

2021-08-15Beautiful park, but stay out of the trails!! We went for a quick walk with our dog and all came out covered in small ticks. It was extremely difficult to remove them from ourselves and our dog. The woods are infested :( not worth the walk.

2021-05-20Very scenic park. I enjoyed walking the trail and watching birds. I was disappointed to stumble upon 2 used condoms and their wrappers on the steps though. The least people could do is clean up after themselves and not expose the rest of the world to whatever they have.

2019-01-17Outstanding vest pocket park with a hilly walking trail through the woods and a very thoughtful one tenth mile circular paved path which is perfect for seniors exercise walking. Includes a water fountain in summer and four benches for sitting. Five trips around, a half mile. :-). The nature trail is a little challenging for seniors but it’s a rewarding one mile hike if you’re up to it. Marked, but could be better and I hope additional trails will be marked...they are there, just need a little maintenance and marking. Use different colored marking for new trails and put a little more thought into the marking. This is a great addition to Hampton Bays...thank you Southampton!
