Fun bowling experience. Good food as well, for a decent price (we used a discount card that one of our party had purchased weeks ago). Game prices were a bit high, but I havent bowled in years, and the others said that was a normal price ($20 for 4 games and shoes).Pros:- Lanes were fine (not great, but they were fine).- Ball selection was good enough.- Food was good (well, the pizza).- Food was made quickly.- Staff was all friendly (the two up front at the desk and the one taking orders on the floor).- Lots of parking.Cons:- Its small inside (16 total lanes)- The website is a bit of a mess. Hard to navigate.- So many league/youth nights that there is very little open bowling. And its hard to find when the open bowling is, from the website. (It mentions a few set days and then open slots between leagues)- There were no lane techs there, when we bowled, so when the lane malfunctioned, we had to move.
Food will sometimes vary on how good it tastes. It is a good spot to take visitors from out of town or family members. There is bowling, mini golf, an arcade, volleyball courts, batting cages. There are lots of events that are 21+, but few for the teenagers that want something fun to do with friends. Service is usually excellent, if you come on a busy night it will be slow. It is one of our favorite places to eat at.
Came here on a Friday night around 7pm with a group of co-workers. We played three rounds each and with shoe rentals it came out to $14 per person. We didnt try any of the food but it seemed like your run of the mill fast foods.Notables:- Parking lot was surprisingly packed. My coworkers had to park in the rear.- NO coupons are accepted, this includes the $15 for $30 Yelp deal and the $5 off for signing up for text message communication. We asked about using them and the person at the front desk said they never saw these coupons before and would not accept them.- Bathrooms are clean. The entire facility seems well maintained.- Outside food seems to be allowed. I saw a lady with Wendys.
Our family went for the Easter brunch. There was 17 people total and we made reservations well in advance. When we got there they tried to sit us at a table that wasnt big enough and then gave us the option to sit at two separate tables. Most of the food was either almost gone or completely gone. I know we were one of the last reservations, not by choice. However if your going to make reservations you should plan on food for those people. We asked several times for more of the food to be brought out but were told there was no more. Was definitely not worth $21.00 per person! I really wish I would have asked to speak to someone at the time. I will not be going back.
A great place! The prices are reasonable and they have specials often. The arcade is small but they make up for that with a fun mini golf course, batting cages, volley ball, and bowling alleys. The snack shop food is ok at best but the restaurant there is worth a visit alone. When me and my wife are down in Olean we always go here at least once.
One stop shop for entertainment, drinks and food. Beautiful event center as well. Menu has been redesigned at all restaurants. Highly recommend their pizza, wings, and the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. At the point steaks are amazing. Lots of activities always going on.
We had fun with what we did (bowling and mini golf) but the batting cages were closed and the arcade was shut down initially and once reopened, the air hockey table was broken. They refunded the dollar to our card for the air hockey table and we enjoyed what we did have the opportunity to do. The staff was great. Wed go back again.
Ive been to Good Times a few times and have always enjoyed myself. The bowling is reasonably priced and the food is good in Hammer Back. I just tried the Sunday brunch for the first time at The Point. The food wasnt bad but the offerings were limited. I think my money would be better spent at Hammer Back.
We had Easter brunch there yesterday. I have eaten in the more formal part of the restaurant before and was very satisfied with my meal. I had the very best scallops that I have eaten in my entire life. I was very sad that my experience with the buffet was not the same. I believe it has the potential to be amazing. Some of the food was very good, but the roast beef that was being carved, was quite tuff, especially for medium rare, and all my food was cold. I was happy after I had the waitress heat my food. But, the 2nd plate was also cold. Everyone at my table had cold food. The price was $22.00 person including tax if you had a reservation, which we did, but it wasnt worth that kind of money. It would be good if the food was better and hot. Also, there was only pumpkin pie left, at 215, if they serve until 3, you should at least have more than one option for dessert, especially for the price.
Nice place with a lot to do. A little expensive for bowling compared to what Im used to, but nothing unreasonable. Check the times on the website for an accurate schedule, Ill suggest them to Google but they may change. Batting cages are down at the moment according to the staff.
We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary at The Point. We recommend the surf and turf. The steak was done just right, very tender and the large lobster tail was delicious! Our waitress, Maria Elana, was very professional and friendly. She even gave us a short rendition of My Funny Valentine and has a wonderful voice. What a treat! She should be there as a lounge singer. We would definitely love to have dinner and be entertained by her.
I would give the Hammerback Grill negative stars if possible. The service ridiculously slow- we waited over an hour for our food- and it was not busy on a Sunday. When the food finally came, they screwed up 3 out of 6 of our dinners. The food was also disgusting-poor quality, greasy, over cooked and some dinners had clearly been sitting for a while before being served. They brought some food and then we had to wait even longer for the kids meals. The place seemed generally dirty- the bowling alleys were cleaner than the restaurant.
Awesome price for bowling through the week.....3 games and shoes for $5!! Where else can you go for a price like that!? Arcade games desperately needed maintenance, especially the ones that reward tickets, however the young man took great care of us and added the credits back to the card when we swiped the card before spotting the out of order note.
Well our first trip was a culinary disaster. The servers work hard enough but the kitchen staff is no better than fast food. Nothing but under and over cooked meals with wrong side orders...Our current visit was for the highly touted BBQ buffet. The brisciut was more like the soul of an old shoe than good meal. The pulled pork had a lot of fat in it, and I mean a LOT of fat! . Plenty of sides but not a lot actual meal. Our kids ate the standard fair chicken fingers which were far better than the buffet.Basically this a bowling alley with a wanna be fancy restaurant in it.Dont bring anyone here if you want a good meal!!
If you plan on bowling and dining at the hammer back grill, bowl first! That is,if you end up waiting for a lane, they knock 15% off your bill at the restaurant! That aside, you will find a great menu at the hammer back, and everything is made from scratch! Fair prices too! The bowling is over priced at $4 a game! $3 would be more like it! Or they should charge $4, and give you a free 4th game of bowling! Staff was friendly, but slow. Bathrooms were clean! We went on a sunday afternoon,so thats what to expect on that day! Cant speak for any other day!
No matter what you do here, ask for Steve. Start with Steve. In fact, Id give the over-all business a 4 star rating. The five star rating is for Steve. Weve been told we could reserve bowl lanes for Xx3, when Steve reserved our lane for X with pizza. This is the type of service that keeps us all coming back. The lanes are in great operation and modern. The pizza and fast food is delicious. There are more than one place to order from here and you will be happy with the array of choices. Ask for Steve. Ask for Steve.
Horrible wait staff. There were only 6 tables seated and waited almost an hour for our food at hammerbacks. Talked to the manager and she acted as though she didnt care. Had to ask our waitress 3 time for our check and takeout containers. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.
I am not a bowler however they have Lanes in guards to help learn you how to bowl they also have very friendly staff and helpful people they have several different sections in their facility a bar a restaurant a bowling alley a play area a game room very nice place for a family night with a wide variety and again very reasonably priced
Great Place, Great People and Amazing Staff!Weve been to GTO many times and have enjoyed every experience from the Putt-Putt, batting cages to the exquisite meals at the point. Our family enjoys this great gem in our hometown. We are so grateful this business is locally owned and they give back to the community constantly. My last visit impressed me more than words can describe. Anyone who reads this should praise the honesty, integrity and work ethic this staff at Good times has as I do. It starts at the top from the owners and is portrayed by every employee. I had lunch at the hammer-back restaurant and have an amazing burger for one. Service, meal, and everything was as always top notch. The bill came and I paid and had rushed out to get back to work. I had left my wallet behind with my credit cards, cash, drivers license, and everything else thats in our wallet. I did not realize this until later that evening that my wallet was missing. I called GTO the next day and spoke with Kristine. I explained I wasnt certain but asked if she would look. My wallet was found! The wonderful person who turned it in had turned the wallet in with everything I had left in it. CASH AND ALL!!!! I cant thank GTO enough for your honesty. I am speechless and you have a customer for life!HATS OFF TO YOU ALL!THANK YOU!
WOW! I ve been a Chef for over 40 years and am always on the lookout for smoked Bar B Q ribs, esp. St. Louis. well I found them @ Hammerback @ Good Times in Olean. Chef Ike does an excellent job with this. Try the garlic mashed potatoes and for great service ask for Jessie S.

2022-05-18A very easy 5 stars. Like the name implies Good Times it sells exactly that. I visited just recently and have been here several times before but my rating hasnt changed. The pizza, drinks, and people are put together very well making Good Times a great time. Id without a doubt recommend anyone and everyone. Stop in and see for yourself because you wont regret it.

2022-02-03We had my grandsons birthday party here and the staff was great, all of the lanes were in good shape and the equipment works great and there didnt seem to be anyone having trouble. Its a great place to take the whole family.

2022-06-27Getting the clubs and balls was easy enough, but the wait time to actually golf was a little longer than preferred. They dont apparently enforce the number of people in each group (which for a family is a great thing, but not for those behind them ; ) ).

2019-12-29This place is awesome! Reasonably priced, great space for little kids to run around. They also have bowling and putput! I didn’t try the food but there was a sign for a snack shack. Definitely recommend.

2017-06-29I love the fact that the bowling lanes could be set up with bumpers for certain players. It was a very modern bowling alley. And family-friendly. The only downfall was it was very expensive.
