The good thing is this is a nice clean store and the employees do a great job sorting items. The bad thing is the prices are very high. Many of these used items are being sold for as much as brand new iteme. I think they need to remember they get all the items free and need to price them much lower. I believe they would sell so much more that way.
This location has been my goodwill of choice. There are a handful much closer to where I live but this location is clean, has pleasant people who are always so appreciative in if what I have to bring is small. Thank you for the work you do!
Just lame and thats said because they dont have anything good at least in most peoples opinion but the only thing that this Goodwill store has going for it on its shelves is its clothes which is what all Goodwill stores are known for but is that enough? Doesnt seem to be for Goodwill happens to have a problem where they obtain more items then they can sell and that is indeed bad news. The staff is nice and emotionally qualified as well as being knowledgeable of the inventory along with the building itself being in good condition but the items conditions are the worst part of any Goodwill store. You need to be extra careful when examining their wares for the item could either be broken or missing entirely and the staff dont check at the register, so if you live faraway and got a defective or missing item after purchase then thats no different than just giving a donation. Speaking of money, the chain has come onto hard times for they had to hike up their prices and reduce their discounts due to rising wages. Now Im not accusing them of financial extortion but is it still worth the trip? If you know what youre looking for then yes but maybe not for browsers and you need to be careful of your surroundings for every store in the chain has a you break, you buy policy. The shirts can be funny buy for a prank party or so though.
Have been buying the kids cloth there for a couple of years now and were always very happy with the savings. Went there today 05/09/17 and was very disappointed to see that they almost doubled their pricing.At this new price point they lost their advantage over TWICE IS NICE ( a second hand store in the same shopping complex) and WALMART ( a couple miles down the road).
If you happen to be in Connecticut, visit Goodwill there if you want to get really good prices and merchandize. Stay away from stores in NY, they think theyre selling gold, instead of use merchandize. Veterans, you should also stay away from NY GW stores, CT stores will give you a 10% every day, NY only give it on Thursdays.
Its all donated goods. All given to them free of charge. Yet they/management seem to think that a 2nd hand blanket should be sold for $20.-. That a pair of non leather boots are worth $15.-. The prices are way over the top for a 2nd hand donation store. I will NOT be returning there. I say lets get to SAVERS in Brookfield, CT.
I had decided not to return to this place because it was very messy and dirty but I had to go look for something and I was surprised the store has a new manager is a small Latina lady and now it is nice to go to buy everything is organized and clean and she is Pending each thing she does an excellent jobStore in mahopac ny close to chillis

2022-06-01Great selection! Each time we come we spend hours trying things on. Weve gotten items for my daughters gym class, for formal events, and everything in between. Also found decor for my home here.

2022-03-18This Goodwill should have a minus 5 star. I resent the fact that I have to put in ANY star in order to have this posted.I drove 20 miles up and 20 home after calling to confirm; A. The store is open. and B. They were accepting linens. The woman specifically listed the items accepted including bedding and linens.In fact, they were NOT accepting any of the items and I will never donateagain to this store, or Goodwill. Change your name,. GOODWILLNOT.

2022-01-05Some interesting finds. Clean - well organized. Not the cheapest. Every time I have been there, the restroom is broken. This week I was told that I could not use it because of the covid. I did not believe them.

2021-11-24I drove a long way to donate and I get there and they say they are closed. What happened to being thankful and appreciative of donations? And the prices for a place that is supposed to be helping people. Meanwhile so little goes to people in need and so much to their CEO. We all should really consider boycotting Goodwill. They arent out to help anyone.

2021-10-28The donation center fills up fast because they get so many donations. The BEST TIME to go is 10-12, there never a scheduled time the Donation center close. The actual store stays open until 6 so customers can shop. They can not except anymore after that because the back room is filled up on top of previous donations from the day before. I hope anyone found this helpful!

2021-08-29This is the only Goodwill location have ever been to that does not accept returns. For example, the Goodwill in Brookfield Connecticut allows returns on electronics if they do not work. They even have a little area that you can test the electronics and make sure it at least powers on. This location does not have any area to test electronics nor do they accept refunds. That is simply unacceptable. The prices here are also higher than the one in Brookfield. Note to the owner, do not waste your time by replying to this review. If you do so, I will simply delete the review, copy and paste the same review and review this place again. Your reply is disingenuous and you pay your most disabled employees close to nothing. Paying people less than a dollar per hour with severe disabilities is disgusting.

2021-03-07I recently moved here and was quite excited to see a Goodwill. The inventory here was rather glum and unattractive. Seemed like bottom of the barrel. Maybe I was spoiled back in NYC but it was really disappointing. The Danbury location was refreshing, but the trek there is something I wish I didn’t have to do. I will be donating to you very soon anyhow.
