Ive been with Goose PM management for about a year now and Ive had a pretty decent experience so far. I feel like the back and forth about moving into the apartment/waiting for confirmation was the most daunting part. After that? Its been smooth sailing. The website for rent payment and submitted tickets (repairs/other concerns) works with zero problems. The staff responds and comes to repair things fairly quickly. The cleaning staff they have here is full of friendly people who pretty much mind their business and do their job. I like how often they have the building cleaned (which was the case before COVID-19). I love the package room in the building that allows us to receive our packages more securely. Also, my building is pretty quiet. Theyre doing a good job over here and Im so relieved. One drawback? I dont love the laundry room. I wish the washing machines were larger. You cant really even get a full load done so it costs a LOT of money and extra time to wash a ton of much smaller loads. But tbh, the convenience of having a laundry spot in the building is a plus on its own. Whenever I have a bigger load that I dont want to spend extra time/money trying to break up into multiple washes, I just take it to the laundromat near here (there are several so thats a good balance). Other than that? I dont really have any complaints. So glad that the folks at Goose PM management is so responsive and professional because I have always thought that tenant/landlord relationships can be way smoother and more positive than they typically are in New York. Thumbs up so far and believing that things will stay pleasant here!
We live in a building managed by Goose Property Management, and have been really satisfied with Gooses management of the building. They have been very responsive to the rare issues weve raised during our nearly 3 years here, and the staff they have at the building are, frankly, outstanding. I know they contract with another company to provide maintenance and door person staff, but the folks who work here are amazing -- the building is literally spotless and cleaned every day, the folks at the door are friendly and helpful.
The Driggs.Insensitive leasing staff. Difficult to communicate with. I loved my building and the front desk and maintenance staff are amazing, and made a genuine effort to stay. I only left because the leasing office didn’t listed to a word I said. This could’ve been an easy transition from my previous lease to the new one, but they were so unprofessional that I couldn’t fathom dealing with them through the transition. Here is the first example: they emailed me the new lease and asked if I was continuing. Due to the current apartment market I mentioned that I could get an apartment that was twice as big, for a cheaper price, and asked if they had incentives (is the name of the game these days). Their response was, “sorry to hear about your financial situation.” Who says that? So unprofessional when I mentioned nothing about my financial situation. The lease that they emailed me and I agreed to, was different than the lease they sent in the mail, which I wasn’t agreeing with and was expected to comply with. I asked to speak with a manager and a call was scheduled three times, and all three times the manager didn’t call, so I had to sit there waiting for nothing. I couldn’t believe it.Feel free to do business with them. Just make sure to cover your bases because they will try to take advantage of you.To Goose Management: please don’t bother responding to this review pretending that you care. You should’ve responded to me and cared when you had the chance.
Have not even moved in yet and impossible to reach the management company. Have called and emailed numerous times with no response. I have been trying to confirm a move in date for 2 weeks and now cannot book movers as they are completely unresponsive. Wish I could cancel my lease.Update: called the office >20 times between this past Thursday and Friday with no answer and no call back to voicemails left. No response to e-mails, as well. Move in is supposed to be next week and still do not have a move in date. The one time I was able to reach someone early last week was told that I could not move in until the the 2nd or 3rd of next month, when I was assured that I would be able to move in on the 30th of this month. In this case, I will now have to spend thousands of dollars to pay movers x 2 and for a storage facility to house my apartment between moves. EXTREMELY UNHAPPY,
Moved in 3 months ago. Williamsburg property. Management [Especially Esther!] has been super responsive and attentive with our questions and requests. I honestly have been amazed at how fast things have been addressed. Building staff is GREAT and so friendly. We have loved our time here so far! Will be sure to provide an update whenever we end up leaving.
My roommate and I have lived at a GPM property for a little over 4 months now and have had nothing but issues. The first came when my roommates key broke off in the door due to the lock being improperly installed, leaving us locked out (~5 pm). We called the after hours help, who told us that likely no one would be by that night because they did not consider it an emergency but that they would put a call out to the super to see if he could stop by. After about an hour of no one coming, we called a second time and were given the same response. At that point, we called a locksmith to break us into our apartment. The super did end up showing up at the same time as the locksmith but did not have the proper tools to get in anyways, so we paid the locksmith who did successfully open our door; however, the broken key was still stuck in the lock, so we could no longer lock our door. We called and submitted tickets online to have the lock issue addressed. The next day, the online ticket was closed, saying it was completed. When we arrived home from work, the lock was still not fixed, requiring another maintenance ticket and another day of having to leave our apartment completely unlocked and vulnerable to an easy break-in.Our next issue came when my roommate noticed her room smelling very poorly with no identifiable cause. Eventually, we noticed there was mold growing on the baseboards in the corner. Nothing wet had been in the area of the mold, and it was not directly under the AC unit to suggest that it had been dripping. Maintenance did come fairly quickly to clean it, but an apartment building that is barely 2 years old should not have mold growing in it for no reason. The mold has also recurred in the same place, leading to additional calls to have it removed. Our third issue was when we noticed the bathroom ceiling leaking around the vent. It was initially just a drip every few minutes, so we submitted a ticket online thinking it would be fine to wait until the next day to be addressed as it was already ~6 pm. About an hour or two later, it started to sound like it was raining in the bathroom, so we called the after hours number to have the leak addressed immediately. No one ever came or gave us a call back. Luckily the leak did stop on its own, but the stain on the ceiling continued to increase, suggesting the leak was about to begin again. 3 days later, we finally receive a response online to our maintenance ticket, which leads to the leak being fixed by the ceiling being repainted. Notably, paint drippings were splattered all over our bathroom, on the toilet, in the sink, on the hand towel by the sink, and on our rug by the shower, and the outline of the leak is still easily visible by looking up.The most recent issue that just occurred today was when I went to take my dog outside. My key fob is no longer programmed, so we were unable to get back into the front door of the building. Luckily a neighbor was there to let us in. I called the after hours number as it is a Saturday morning and was told I should receive a call back. 5 hours later when I still had not heard anything, I called again. This time, I did receive a call back but was told there is nothing he could do as the management office is closed and he does not know any codes to the building to bypass using the key fob, so I would have to submit a ticket online and wait until Monday to have the issue addressed. In the meantime, I have to just hope a neighbor happens to be near every time I have to leave that can let me back inside.
Molly and the Goose Management team are outstanding! I lived in one of their buildings for a year and had a great experience. There werent many problems with my unit except for a broken seal on the kitchen sink but their maintenance came within hours of creating a ticket. I would definitely stay if I didnt have to move out of state.
Currently staying in a Goose PM property: The building is unfinished. Contractors don’t wear masks inside and smoke Marijuana on the job. They’re constantly in and out of the building leaving paint on the carpet. The elevators will always have packing curtains on them. Window panes break and aren’t repaired. Management (Goose PM) is horrible and often unresponsive. Do not rent here. Much better options in LIC.
Goose has been a top notch management company since I moved into the RHEINGOLD building two years ago. They are prompt to address any maintenance concerns, generous with building amenities, have accommodated well to the needs of Covid times, and provide the tenants with the support they need. It’s not an easy job to do, but they do it well.
I am really sick and tired of the washing machines and dryer in the laundry room, they are always breaking down. The washers leave the clothes soaked and the dryers need 90 minutes to dry every time I open a ticket they say the super looked into and that its fixed but its not. I have reported the machines multiple times and I will continue to make complaints every time I have issue. this can be resolved by having reliable machines in the laundry room. Especially for the amount of rent that tenants pay here.
We have been in Halo, LIC for about 3 years now and have moved to a total of 3 apartments in the building. The staff here are professional and responsive. A special shoutout to building super Janos, the entire Front Desk staff headed by Arthur and Andres, the GPM LLC office team especially leasing and move coordination.
Goose PM has been a great management company for us in The Halo LIC. They are responsive to all of our requests and do an exceptional job responding to and resolving them in a timely manner. Whether its a maintenance issue or a general concern the service has been great.
Ive been a tenant at a Goose Property managed building (The Driggs) for one year now and its been a very pleasant experience. Theyre quick to address any maintenance concerns, the doormen are professional and courteous, the management office is responsive, and the building is kept very clean (they wash the sidewalk EVERY DAY). I just renewed for a second year and dealing with them on the renewal was straightforward.
THE WORST MANAGEMENT EVER!! I would rate them 0 star if I could. The apartment was not ready by our move in day. The person whos been managing our new apartment from this management waited until the last minute (one work day before) to notify us by sending a email saying: Just want to confirm with you that the apartment will not be cleaned or painted. Is this a joke? Can they be more unprofessional??When we tried reach them regarding the delay and our damage. They started to avoid our phone calls, emails, and voice messages(Even when we confirmed with front desk that they were in the office ).Lawyers letter has been sent, We will not cave unless we get our rightful compensation. They are the most unprofessional management I have ever experienced. For the people whos looking for a new home, STAY AWAY from any property thats under management of this company. They suck your blood dry.To respond to owners comments on 07/09/19:The previous tenants moved out on June 9th, and our move in date was supposed to be July 1st, you didnt even bother to do a walk through and get the keys back from former tenant until July 2nd. You have been avoiding our phone calls and emails since June 28th.For 9 days we couldnt move in because of your incorrect paperworks and given radio silence, if you call this a slight delay, I wonder whats your definition of severe delay. If you have time, try be more responsible actually communicate with us with apologies first and start solving problems instead of reply on Google making yourself look pretty.
Honestly this place is super disappointing. Been living here for almost two years at 1631 Pacific Street, and this is the most unprofessional building management company. Our AC Broke down for two months currently, and we have been complaining nonstop for two months (in the middle of the summer from April to July with 90 Degree Weather) yet they have done nothing to fix the situation. They are ridiculously slow in responding and honestly based on the contract, they do nothing to show that they maintain and care for their tenants. Avoid at all costs.
Gooses only problem is they have made it far too easy (with Community Bullet-in Boards) for people to complain and rile up their neighbors. My personal experience has been great, extremely responsive, quick to respond to maintenance issues, and a very welcoming staff.
RUN, do not walk, away from this Management Company! They are just this side of legitimate (though a more money-grubbing, nickel-and-dimey company youd be hard pressed to find) but their practices regarding move-outs and security deposit return are unethical and probably illegal. We will be moving out a the end of this month, and received an email informing that we would be required to schedule a walk-thru with the building manager to assess for damages before the security deposit could be returned. They stated that the apartment has to be in original condition, essentially discounting the fact that normal wear-and-tear is OK. We requested our walk-thru for the Sunday before our lease ends, but two days after we had moved out so we had time to clean, fill nail holes etc. We were told that no, the walk-thru has to be scheduled at least two weeks prior to the move out, and that if the apartment is not in its original condition, they would be happy to clean it for us for $350 to help us avoid the trouble. My husband and I want to clean the apartment ourselves, and between us have never failed to get an entire security deposit returned to us (we are respectful and clean tenants) but we posed the question to the management company: how are we supposed to show you an original condition apartment when we have two full weeks left living there? To date we have received no response, but were told that if we dont comply with these terms of our lease we would be at risk of forfeiting our entire security deposit. For the record, I combed every word of the lease and nowhere therein does it mention a manager walk-thru, let alone one that needs to happen two weeks in advance of lease-ending.This is illegal practice! I have submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and opted in to talk to the media about their practices.
One of the most unprofessional group you’ll ever come across. I wish I could give zero stars! They are an extremely misleading bunch and will do anything to try and take your money unjustly with no follow up or response. Everything they show you within the building comes at an additional cost (ridiculous price points at that), nothing is truly “included” not to mention they’ll only send a response when they’re trying to collect money but won’t actually address the issue. After living here initially it was a no brainier, I was absolutely certain I would resign my lease but that’s no longer the case due to the unprofessional money hungry business practice of Goose PM. I tried to resolve my issue with them on the phone, via email, even tried to meet in person and all they care about is nickel and dimein every drop they can out of their residence without taking accountability for the misleading information they provide.I would avoid any property they are associated with, I’ve contacted the office multiple time and sent countless emails that have all gone unanswered or the answer did not actually address the issue.Their practice is just extremely disrespectful, uncomfortable and unprofessional especially at the high price points we pay for rent. The consensus in the building is although most residence enjoy the building, 9/10 will let you know how much they dislike our management company and their unprofessional team. They need to get rid of their current staff and bring in a new more professional group that actually care about the tenants interest.
We lived at the Driggs (220 N10th) for five years and everything went great. Move-in/out was made very easy, no hidden fees, great maintenance of the apartment, building and services, and responsive team. Very reasonable landlords. Great management team. Recommended the building to friends and colleagues.
The staff are so unprofessional, especially Hannah W. . Her manager should fire her immediately. She usually dont pick up calls unless it is transferred by her coworkers. She has no idea what she is doing. Talking to her is like talking to an illiterate person. Most of times she has no answers or solutions. PLEASE FIRE HER IMMEDIATELY.
Lived at a Goose Property Management run building for a year (26 West St, Brooklyn) — the team runs an incredibly tight ship: responsive, helpful, professional. Finding a place to live in New York is 50% of the challenge, once youve found a place, how its run is the other 50%. Goose Property Management did a fantastic job of running an awesome building, awesomely.
Update1: I dont believe the owner is trying to resolve the problem but reply just to reply. 1. You can give us heads-up before construction as the unit is part of bevel LIC. You simply want more money so you would rather sacrifice tenants peacefulness. 2. It can be part of contract that how long it should take to finish a project and not always extending the construction.3. Compensate /move us to different unit, where I HAD voiced and was never able to get to the manager or owner because goose management has a gatekeeper that prevent things from getting done. From complaints to actual maintenance.Edit: Nice replies to fake reviews like typical psychopath. Oh thank you for the feedbacks. The bad reviews dont exist right ?Greedy owner that dont do jack s for tenants. The 5 star reviews are fake. RUN away from any apartment that they manage. Terrible experience. At least 1 thing will go wrong once a month.they dont care about residential tenants. Constant construction noises without any heads-ups. Zero communication from the management. The noises are unbearable and they do not care

2022-02-03We just signed a lease at Bevel LIC, managed by Goose, and so far the management team has been awesome. There were a couple issues regarding our timeline, specifically getting the unit turned over in time, but management has worked with us quickly and effectively to see to it that everything meets our needs and expectations. Communication has been expedient and our requests met with satisfaction. The level of service we’ve received thus far makes us feel welcome and very well taken care of. Pessy Fried, in particular, has been a joy to work with, thank you Pessy!

2022-07-21Avoid at all costs. They rarely respond to emails and phone calls. If they do respond, they re-route you to someone else who then does not respond. We asked for a reference letter showing proof of on time payment--a standard request for New York rentals--and they said they had to charge us $75 for it. When asked to see the policy and reason for the charge, we received, you guessed it, no response. When initially signing our lease, we received no response on our application for over two weeks, leaving us in limbo of having to find a new apartment and pay additional application fees or wait and see if we were approved. The lease that we received had typos in almost every line and the wrong start date, resulting in them attempting to charge us for several more days that we had leased the apartment for since they were radio silent and we could not move in when expected as a result.

2022-04-06Similar to another reviewer, it has been impossible to schedule a move-in date with Goose Property Management at the Halo LIC (our lease begins in 10 days). Our new lease at Halo LIC begins on 4/15, and our old/current lease ends on 4/18 (3 days of overlap). After numerous times of calling and emailing Goose PM, we finally got ahold of Kayla S. and asked to move in on 4/15, the first day of our lease. She said no, as the current tenant isnt moving out until 4/15, so we cant move in until 4/20.Thus, Goose PM made a mistake and overlapped our leases and already charged us for 4/15 onward. Even so, I said thats fine, well figure out the charges later, but we still need to move in by 4/18, due to the end of our current lease. **After this, Kayla S. stopped responding.**It has been a week of us trying to get in contact with Goose PM, and there have been zero responses or follow-ups, zero acknowledgement that they messed up our lease, zero effort trying to find a solution to the problem they created, and no urgency in ensuring we will have an apartment to move into at the end of our current lease. I will be going to their office in-person tomorrow -- hopefully speaking face-to-face brings an ounce of professionalism or urgency to them.Goose PM - Im not sure how you normally conduct business, but overlapping leases and charging both parties for the same days at the same apartment is against the law. Please have someone from your office (NOT the incompetent Kayla S.) contact me to resolve this.

2022-04-14Very poor management team. They only seek your money and do not care for the livelihoods of their tenants. At their Flatbush property, there has been robberies and police activity in the building but the management company never sent ANY formal communication to their tenants about these events. Many of the tenants and myself had to seek information from the news to find out what occurred in this building and how unsafe it has become. Apartments have been robbed, bikes have been stolen and the list goes on. This company also does not do any background checks for any of their tenants, so they are allowing anyone to live in their properties as long as you can pay. Sketchy business. DO NOT rent or do business with them!

2019-08-07Zero Star!!! Stay Away from Halo LIC and any property managed by Goose PM!We were so excited to move into this almost brand new, luxury apartment building, Halo LIC, however our issues with the unit and management company started as soon as we moved in. I discovered that the whole apartment was covered in some sort of white dust because of some maintenance work and it had not been cleaned before our move-in. I worked 2 days to clean the whole apartment and get rid off the dust that was on the walls, doors and all the other surfaces. When I emailed them about this issue, they practically just said Ooops, sorry!Worst came the second night. This apartment began leaking precisely one day after we moved in about 3 months ago and since then we have not had a single comfortable night in our bedroom. Nonstop we have been having to deal with leaks inside the bedroom and living room and subsequent black mold. As it stands, our bedroom is completely unlivable. Two portions of the wall are carved out exposing mold and insulation material (see attached). We have been explicitly told not to sleep in that bedroom due to the exposed insulation, mold and dust. We now spend no more than 5 minutes, in that room per day. As a result of all this, we are sleeping uncomfortably on a pull-out bed in our living room. To date, we have not gotten any timeline when this is going to be fixed, even when requested. In fact, we have been told several times over the past 3 months that the problem is fixed, only to find out the next time it rained that it wasn’t.There has been constant worry about if it will rain and what damage will be done to our furniture. We held off buying furniture and making the room comfortable to live for us for this reason. We have been wanting to put up blinds to block out the sun so we can have good rest but have been unable due to the leaky ceiling or repairs for the leaky ceiling. We have lost several days of sleep either due to leaks or because the mold smell in the room was so overwhelming. There are many other units in the same building with similar chronic problems though not as bad as ours, YET!!! I see the leak is spreading downstairs. The unit below me started having the same leak as we have. Now the wall gets wet all the way down to 2 stories below me (visible from outside the building). Leaks and mold will follow soon.Currently, the management company completely stopped responding to our emails, phone calls or maintenance tickets online (or they just say we will get back to you on that). I think at this point they just hope that we will just give up and leave. That is not happening! I started filing with all the State and City housing agencies and courts to get compensated for our troubles starting from Day1 and get my apartment fixed. So, I think you will agree with me that Goose PM is the worst management company you can have, especially when you pay premium rent prices for a luxury building.

2022-01-12A company that could not care less about its filthy, noisy and illegal practices. Absolutely no regard for the surrounding community. They NEVER respond to complaints. Rude and incompetent. They have gotten so bad that I now have the NYPD, DOB, DSNY and DEP looking into my complaints. They are a shanda.Bunch of gonifs. Look at all the filth that is always in front of their building at 1538 New York Avenue. Stay far far away.

2021-03-23Stayed at the Bevel for one year and overall I enjoyed my time. Staffs are really friendly and professional, the doormen are awesome and management is very responsive. Had leaking issues with my unit but the super and management was timely and resolved the issue. The building amenities are very nice; I loved the library! Overall, a really nice place to live and great location! Thank you to all the amazing staffs at the Bevel for a wonderful year!

2020-11-02The Goose Property Management team was very prompt and thoughtful at responding to our concerns. We were having an issue with our refrigerator filter and apartment lighting. Esther H. and the rest of the team worked swiftly to make sure that all of the light bulbs were replaced and we had a new filter installed in our refrigerator, as well. The team was extremely courteous and worked very expeditiously to resolve our problems. We have had great experience with this management company and look forward to continuing this great relationship in the near future.

2020-12-11I have been living at a property managed by Goose Property Management LLC for the last 4 years, and they are certainly the most professional, responsive and efficient company I have ever experienced. The turnaround time for any urgent (and non-urgent issues) is fast, and they are hard working and friendly. It makes a huge difference, especially in times like this and I am grateful for their ongoing support.

2021-07-29I havent lived in my new apartment for more than a month but so far the support Ive received with the Goose Property Management team has been exemplary. It feels great to be a tenant in such a well managed property!
