This place is top notch. Any community would be blessed to have an eatery of this caliber grace it with its presence. Fresh everything from bread to meat, the sauces, picked vegetables Straight from Mathews garden. And the way you are treated with respect is the cherry on top. You are asked how the meal was every time. Attention to detail. I go multiple times a week. Its my present to myself after working hard.
Best place in cortland. Excellent!! My wife and I were visiting our son at Cortland U and stopped by on Saturday and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Before we ordered the cook/chef/owner? described the soup of the day which he had just thrown together and which we ordered and it was extremely tasty! Also, my wife ordered the Caesar chicken salad, I had the Chupacabra and my son had the Chicken bacon ranch which we all enjoyed immensely. We will definitely return here every time we visit!
I love this place. As a family we always get a mixture of subs, salad, and fries. All of their food is delicious. Fresh ingredients, house-made bread for the subs, homemade fries, couldn’t be any better. The fries are amazing and for $4 (a large) there are tons. The Cortland store is clean and huge inside. Service was impeccable. I’d definitely recommend to anyone to eat here. They have a mix of meat and vegetarian subs also.
Delicious sándwiches for vegetarians and meat eaters (more for you carnivores). They can substitute any of their sandwiches with something else which makes it open to all. They make their bread fresh everyday and have some pretty good fried eggplant. Friendly staff and college friendly atmosphere for a college town. Vegetarian friendly and Soups are always on point. Customer service is amazing and the food is delicious.
Creative menu and great sandwiches, with a very friendly and attentive staff. Sub rolls are baked in house and taste great. Boardwalk style fries were really good too. Order the homemade hummus and flatbread, you wont be disappointed!

Not sure if he’s the manager or the owner, but I’m always amazed at how friendly he is and how much he cares about the food he’s making you. You can tell when you eat their food that they care about giving the customer a quality meal. Never had a bad experience I’ve ordered from here many times.

This place is incredible! Fresh ingredients and eclectic yet refined taste at an incredible value. They even have gluten free and vegan options! Everything from bread to soups and even the sauces are made from scratch! If youre not eating here youre missing out, thats for.sure!

Got the Philly cheesesteak sub and it was just okay. It was more chopped hamburger rather than “steak” and I kept finding hard pieces of meat in the sub. I didn’t really care for the cheese sauce. I’d rather have cheese slices melted instead. I got a large fry that was worth the 5$ for the amount you get.
Clean aesthetic, but the tables were not. The panda wings were interesting, but I wish I could have tried them at a smaller serving before committing to the full price. The mango limeade was good. It was really unique. Sort of a ghost town though.
The Chicken Bacon Ranch sub is life! The bread is to die for!They also have great po boy, soups, apps. But avoid the cheesesteak... Ive tried it every way possible and they are all terrible

Im sure this is a great place for a sit down experience, but if youre ordering something to go dont bother. Ordered a sub, chicken tenders and fries. Unsalted soggy fries and chicken tenders with no dipping sauces (was i supposed to ask for my food salted atleast?) which to me was a complete turn off. Got the coconut shrimp sub which consisted of mostly pickled carrots so it overwhelmed the taste, but overall wasnt terrible. I would try their subs again (probably with a different choice) but will never order to go from this place again. The Ithaca location always offers great food and service, but the Cortland location needs work.
I ordered off their website, which only had 5 subs listed. When I went to the store to pick them up, they had a much larger selection on the menu in the store. I would have ordered something different had I known.
I have tried alone all of their menu items and Ive yet to be disappointed. I keep coming back to the steak and shroom but the Chupacabra is a close second. Cant wait to go in today and grab something for lunch . Highly recommend this place to everyone. It honestly puts the original shop in Ithaca the Shame.
So good! The redone interior is lovely. The menu is interesting, eclectic, and hard to find anywhere else in Cortland. I had a wonderful bahn mi, and my husband had the gorgers cheese steak. Top notch flavors! And the BREAD! Absolutely worth a visit. And another visit. And another...😀
Food was really good, employees were friendly. I wasn’t a fan on the French onion soup, but it was homemade and just a different style. Overall really good food.

Matt catered a bridal shower for my daughter this evening. We had a taco theme, so he brought the taco bar.The tequila-lime chicken, the beef, the various different salsas (especially the pineaapple salsa), as well as the homemade tortilla chips were simply amazing.Well done, Matt!!

2022-05-18WOW! I would rate this as one of my top 10 food experiences. From chatting with the chef (who I suspect was the owner) to tasting his glorious creations this is a must go! Everything is made in house from the bread, to pickled veggies, to sauces, and so much more. A rarity in these times. The flavor was on point and the food creativity and presentation leaves you only wanting more. If I lived closer this would be my regular hangout. Seriously, if you havent been you need to go. So glad we stopped here while in town by chance, but anytime we are in town we will be back. If I could rate this 10 stars I would!

2022-05-05The Diamond brothers serve affordable, flavorful, and globally inspired food in this unassuming sandwich shop. The Cortland location is newer and more spacious than the original establishment in Ithaca. Im very picky when it comes to rice dishes but I have to admit that the rice bowls I ordered from there were amazing. The best value for the price, and the best price for the value.

2022-03-02Matt and the team do an phenomenal job! The food is always incredible and well made. Even better than the food is everyone’s positive attitude! They catered for a Christmas party and it was awesome. You can literally order the special everyday and not be disappointed.

2022-06-04We got loaded fries and a couple subs. The fries and the chicken were definitely over cooked and hard, but honestly everything else was so good that its worth going back to try it again (the homemade ranch OMG!). Plus the staff was ridiculously nice.

2019-02-19Bread is fantastic! Interior is cool looking and comfortable. Kind of expensive. I ordered half of sub while my better half ordered a full sub and it came to $17 dollars, did not include a side or drinks. I wasn’t sure if you could create your own sub, that wasn’t clear on the menu. I ordered a bbq chicken sub and my man ordered a pork and veggie sub. His was lacking meat and mine could have been better, but the bread is the real winner! Just go for the bread and I heard the homemade soups are good, plus it’s pretty in there. Give it a try.

2020-03-02The flavors are spot on. The owner is a very friendly and generous person. The weekly lunch special combo is a must! You can choose any 6in sub with salad, soup, or fries and a drink for $9 picture is the shrimp Po boy with bay seasoning and a side of broccoli cheddar soup but you can get a ceasar side salad instead if dont want soup. The bread is made in house and is delicious.
