So horrendously overpriced. I wanted Oatly oat milk... it was something like eight bucks! Everything I wanted was close to twice what I pay usually. I got the only thing I really wanted for the morning, which was two dollars more expensive than the price I pay near my apartment when its NOT on sale.
Quick stop for mint. Closer walk than Trader Joe and more reasonable than Wholefoods
A little pricey, but good to-go options or last minute items you may need. They carry Tates chocolate chip cookies! And have nice Italian cheeses.
Store is the best go-to in the areas for great selection and value for it. I am a yacht chef and Mike the manager was very helpful organizing prompt deliveries ( that were free within 10 blocks ) he also let me sneak in early one morning at 6:15 as they were setting up as I was in a pinch. Legend.
Wide range of quality, organic and fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and a bunch of normal food store items. Happy to discover that, and pleasantly surprised to learn that they accept EBT payments. Conveniently located btwn the F & M and the 1 Train (and only a block further to the C/E Trains) and the MTA M23 bus, Ill definitely be shopping there again.
My wife and I been going to this market for a year now and I must say that the food here is tasty but the only thing is there’s only 1-2 cashiers and a lot of times there’s no one to help or assist you in the store. Sometimes the cashier lines can be long and sometimes the items are expired the other day we had to return a spoiled milk but apart from that the few cashiers are friendly especially the dark skin girl very polite always saying thank you apart from that great produce!
This Market has a little of everything. The sandwiches made in the deli are scrumptious 😋! Very friendly staff from cashier to those preparing food! Thank you.
Ok I swear this Market is not laid out like any other market. I have been going here for over a year and u know I finally found the milk. Granted I usually only go in for specific items in front of store but until a week ago I never knew there was a massive other section I was like wait when did they put this here. 😳 so now I have milk and so many other choices my lunch hour is so not long enough for the food exploration and tour. .
I love this market! I’ve been to almost all of them and the quality is the same at all locations. The prepared foods are so good, especially the homemade roasted chickpea salad. It’s heavenly — I’ll sometime pick up a container after work when I don’t feel like cooking. Everything I tried tasted fresh and flavorful. The produce is pricey but it’s fresh and stays ripe for a good amount of time. Would recommend this place over Whole Foods without question.
I went in the store and I was followed in every aisle I went in. I wouldve brought more if I wasnt being followed. I dont appreciate be racially profiled, I will not go back to this store. Only good thing is the cashier was very nice.

Sorry. Rarely visit 9th av and deep basement stacked 2the ceiling with narrow aisles feels like a hoarders apt stuffed with groceries.

I love westside market. They have so many varieties of cut up fruit. I always get a bunch of them everytimei come here. Some stuff is a bit pricey but still convenient. They sell ready made meals, sushi, sandwiches and drinks. I always find something new when i come here!
I love this place. It is always well stocked, clean, and reasonably priced . The staff is amazing. Always friendly and ready to help. Miguel at the hot deli is extremely helpful. Always makes me feel welcomed. Highly recommend!!!!
Just got a prepared pasta for my dinner. Got home heat it up took a bite and spit it out.Tomatoes where rotten and pasta slimy.Got some fresh mozzarella that had a bad odor when I opened it. Had to throw it outPraying I don’t get food poisoning.Spoke to manager who said sorry about this will check rest of pasta.Disgusting and dissatisfied
Overpriced, some products are not fresh, bread is one day fresh and another day is not fresh you cant even eat it. I think its a shame for this kind of store. Lunch boxes my friend had stuffed cabbage and they give him 2 pieces. After one hour I decided to get one for me and they give me only one piece after I asked to personal they told me you got only one... Strange strategy losing your customers :/

I’m so happy to have found this hidden gem in Chelsea. During these hectic times I managed to find everything I needed and was out within five minutes. I don’t understand why anyone would wait on line for hours at a time when Westside market has everything you need and more. My new go to spot!
Westside Market is a godsend. It has great, fresh food, meats, cheeses, etc, and many selections. Its pre-made food selection is the best. Its fruits and veggies are grade A, and its fresh bread selections are awesome.
Some of the food, even a lot, is v good, though Ive had some issues like prepared food spoiling several days before the sell-by date. As well, service needs work.
Way too everything! Too cramped, too small, too expensive, too little selection, even too dark. Just what the hood needs - another gourmet supermarket. Ah, for the not so good old days of the A and P Grand Union and Associated. How did we live before Whole Paycheck, notsoFairway, Gristedes, Critterella... Are there really that many upper middle classs/lower upper class/just hanging into the 3%, with no taste, too much money,too many mannys, housekeepers, maids and cooks? Why dont they just call out for food like the good old days and leave the supermarkets for us hoi polloi? Do I sound bitter? Whats to be bitter about - at least they arent CVS, RiteAide, Duane- Reade, or a Bank? And now the tourists dont have to go all the way to Chelsea Market.
Be careful - during the pandemic (May) bought SPOILED teriyaki chicken with an expiration date 3 days out! How did this happen? Relabeled expired food to sell it. Took it back a few days later and saw the same massive rows of pre-packaged food with NEW expiration labels. No way they sold all the food from 3 days ago! BEWARE.
You always find everything you need! Really good prepared food and almost anything else you want! Ask for Miguel he is so knowledgeable about all ingredients in the prepared foods and everything in the store.

This store has been revamped. Possibly under new management. One particular Latina cashier Im not too keen on. The products are ok though.

I loved!! Excellent attention!! All very sympathetic and all the food is exquisite. There is also a variety of salads and sandwiches. There is everything ... also food to the weight ... and upon entering there is air conditioning and there is no smoke or smell of fritanga !! 🤣 Tomorrow I go for the salmon salad !!

2020-03-14Truly a gem. Just had dinner : orange chicken and salad for under 15 dollars. It was fresh and so delicious. The cheese section is exceptionally large with excellent options. The meat section is great. There are large selection of every thing, like Fairway but at Trader Joes prices and less lines. Check out the mayonnaise that they have !!!! The impressive fish sauce and soy sauce selection will blow you away, I have not gone any where else.It is well stocked supermarket even after Whole Foods and Trader Joes are wiped out. Fresh stuff at great quality and great prices.Come and check out.

2022-08-09Do not buy fresh cheese here. I bought the local mozzarella produced in NJ here at Westside and had food poisoning. We thought it was something else so we had it again, the remaining, after some days and we were so sick again. Ugh never again.

2022-03-16I adore this place it has something for everyones palate, over the counter can be pricey, however, they have inexpensive and tasty sides (teriyaki chicken, salmon, salads veggieburgers, dumplings)wrapped and ready for purchase. Everything from A to Z flowers also.

2022-05-17I ordered sandwiches by grabhub and but the food was delayed so I just wanted know where sandwich was. I called here and they explain very well and nicely today Grabhub had a delivery problem so the guy on the phone he just told they will delivery for meThey are so nice! And sandwich is so good!!

2019-11-27Probably the most well-stocked supermarket I visited in Manhattan when it comes to ready-to-eat meals. Dumplings tasted good despite me not having anything to heat it up in my hotel room. Friendly staff at the cashier and just overall a pleasant environment to shop in. Thanks!
