We moved to Schenectady about a year ago and this place has been a part of our life since. The staff is amazing, they are aware of who we are and what we drink. They sell seasonal knickknacks and locally sources crafts. Come for the coffee and stay for the great people.
Love this place! Its so cute and welcoming. My kids loved their smoothies, the coffee is perfect, and the shrub pop (kinda like kombucha) is delicious. All the cups and straws are eco friendly. The owner is so sweet too. You can order ahead if you are in a rush. I absolutely love coffee and Im excited I found a local coffee shop as an alternative to the usual Starbucks and Dunkin (and it tastes so much better too!)
The Cortado and the Cuban Pull are really authentic and the vibe is very chill with a touch of early 90’s/late 80’s pop, somehow balancing between energetic and chill in a great way. We even went back for seconds and the cappuccino is also excellent, more like those you find in Europe. Super cute small cafe, highly recommend stopping in to give it a try!
Seriously adorable😍😍 The owner is SO sweet and the shop itself is so comfy and inviting! I had an iced vanilla latte and a yo banana bowl. My family had a shrub pop, a peaches and cream and a power up smoothie and ground control juice. We loved everything! Also, everything is eco friendly and that was just the cherry on top! Support small businesses!!!!
One of my absolute favorite places to go! Yes, some of the prices are going to be higher than your fav coffee chain, but this is a small business and I can tell you - you can taste the love and care that go into the drinks. The experience you have at Grahams far exceeds any chain coffee place. 10/10 would recommend!!
Im a big fan! For first-time visitors, its well-worth figuring out the parking (and turning around if you miss it at first): the owner and crew know their stuff, make excellent drinks, and are very friendly. I always like to start with a coffee shops basics (like the flight of pour over flavors, below), but have a weakness for the chocolatte as well.
The women who run the place are sooooo pleasant to talk to and funny. I told them I was meeting a random man from CL to potentially be roommates, and they said they’d be watching from the window to make sure I was okay. It was broad daylight, I wasn’t worried, but it’s nice to see women looking out for other women. They recommended a coffee for me and parfait. They were both delicious. 10/10 would go again, and recommend to anyone. Only draw back is that their indoor seating isn’t open yet.
Gosh, Graham’s is just the best. Worth the drive, wherever you live. Not only is it super cute inside but literally everything I’ve had there has been utterly amazing and creative to boot. The lattes are the best I’ve had anyplace, including Seattle. Her syrups are not too sweet. Try the Pistachio! The food is awesome too. Hope they can start doing movie nights again some day!
Wandered in here and was served the best Chai Ive ever had! Its house made and we added cardamom maple flavor w oat milk. Baristas were extremely helpful, sweet, and set a really cool and welcoming vibe. Its decorated so pretty and the baked goods looked amazing. Definitely check this place out!
My name is Tara and I tried a Caramel Chai Latte today and it was AMAZING! But then again, everything there is amazing! By FAR my favorite coffee parlor! Great service, great coffee, and a wide selection of delicious baked goods and pastries. If youre nearby, definitely stop in and try something for yourself! You wont regret it!
Went today for the first time and had a pistachio latte and a bagel. The barista immediately recognized me as a newcomer and helped me find the menu I was looking for. Are they clearly labeled? Yep. Was I too busy checking out how cute this place is? Also yep. This cafe is adorable. The art on the walls is bright and fun. The seating is comfy, and there’s a banana phone. I wish I lived closer so this could be a regular hang for me.As for my food, the latte was delish, and the bagel was the thickest bagel I have ever had. Carbs wish to be a thick boy like that.Side note: Super clean bathroom, always appreciated. Definitely would recommend if you’re in the area and hope to be there again.
Very quaint little café. Creative menu options and fun atmosphere.I really like the higher quality non-dairy options available, and the selection of house-made flavors. Which I believe are infused honey, vs. the traditional simple/corn syrup.I have yet to try most of the menu but look forward to the experience!
Grahams has the BEST hot chocolate. Do not walk....run. I come here at least once a week, and always receive great service. I especially like the acai bowls as they have a sorbet like consistency. This coffee parlor also has a good selection of baked goods from a bakery in Saratoga. Get the banana bread - it is amazing.
My 10 year old son (a notoriously picky eater) requested that I rate this place 5 stars. He said the food was great and the staff was very kind and generous. I couldn’t agree more! Also the artwork there is original by the owner! Seriously this is the cutest little place and a must see.
No contest, this place continues to serve the best coffee Ive ever had. Ive had cappuccinos, various flavored lattes, and hot chocolates. The ginger bee latte is particularly special and worth a try. What I really like about this place is that virtually nothing is left to chance, with the syrups and chai being made in-house and terrific. The owner is very personable and willing to get to know what you like to find you the best drink. The scones and treats from Brimstone are delicious as well. This place is a find.
The perfect local coffee shop that Albany always needed. The menu is solid and coffee is exceptional. The staff is extremely friendly and always smiling (thru their masks of course). Highly recommend supporting this local small business. Try their Lavender Bee Latte/Iced Latte, it’s delicious!
A place I could absolutely go to every single day. I saw this randomly while driving, and while it took me weeks to make my first stop, I honestly regret not making trying it a priority. The shop looks awesome inside, almost like an old school ice cream parlor that feeds every adults need of daily caffeination while making you feel like a kid at heart. The employee that was working was amazingly friendly. He shared how much time and detail the owner put into the place, was happy to share ingredients when requested and explained different offerings that they make on their own.I was sold on the pistachio latte, which sounded interesting/odd since I’ve never heard of one before. While I’m not sure it would be my morning go to, if you’re looking for a mid afternoon iced latte I couldn’t ask for anything more. It was a coffee that tasted just like pistachio ice cream and was so good it could have me coming back daily. On first sip, I realized the quality the shop puts into their ingredients and it has taken the place of Starbucks when I’m in the area which previously I would say didn’t have a great local offering.I look forward to many visits to come. One side note is that parking isn’t overly abundant. While I was able to navigate into a spot quickly, my concerns are that once everyone in the area finds out how superior their coffee is to the national chains nearby that I won’t be able to make it in. For now it’s great!
Im a coffee fiend and I was excited to see Schenectady was getting a real coffee shop near my house! The iced latte I had was delicious, the staff was super friendly, and the space was nice and bright. They have lots of options for coffees, teas, smoothies, and other juices that I cant wait to try.*Updated to say that I had the ginger-bee latte and it was excellent. The flavour was great and not too sweet 🐝
Grahams Coffee Parlor is the absolute best coffee shop in the 518. While this place was under construction, I waited patiently as the owner helped build this place by hand. Driving by seeing the hard working going into it. When it finally opened, I was greeted very warmly. It was such an inviting and fun atmosphere with wonderful employees clearly happy to be where they were. Clearly proud of the work they were putting into each and every cup. Its gotten to the point that when I walk up, they know my name and order.During this crazy time, Grahams goes the extra mile to protect its staff and customers. Offering window service, take out, and even a cute little front area with tables and chairs to sit in. I still think you guys need a pink flamingo and a lawn gnome, but thats just personal taste. 😂I really appreciate the hard work everyone at Grahams puts into giving us all a little normalcy in this crazy time. When you find a business that doesnt treat you like a customer, but like a human being, you know that this business will be successful.Stop going to Starbucks, stop going to Dunkin, support local. Support good people. You wont regret it after you get a taste of their coffee. Even their food choices are delicious. Get a grahamwhich on the weekend. It will change the way you make breakfast.
This is a cute little place with friendly staff. The coffee drinks Ive had here are all very well made, and the juices seem very popular as well, judging by the screeching juicer blades behind the counter. The place is cleverly decorated with a variety of seating and a rotating diorama (!), and nice bright windows. It seems to attract mostly people passing by, many becoming regulars, with a few small groups sitting to talk. Parking can be a little tight sometimes.
Truly an experience! Grahams is a special place. As soon as you walk through the door you feel taken back in time to when you were a kid in the 80s. You almost expect a-ha or Madonna to come walking out to make your drink. The owner Katryn is super personable and makes you feel welcome. Im working my way through the menu and everything Ive had is delightful from the coffee to beetroot latte to the juice to the pastries. Everything is made to perfection. I really love how they have some flavors that you dont see many places like cardamom maple, beetroot, even bloody Mary flavors. This place is a gem!
How can you put absolute perfection into words for a review. The feeling you get when you walk in, how clean it is, the smell coffee being prepared, the smiles, and an overall feeling of welcome and this is where you should be. Pick anything on the menu, there options, fresh ingredients, and just an atmosphere that is addicting. Make sure to stop by on the weekends for their amazing Grahamwhich which is my favorite!
Not sure how I heard about this place (Facebook?) and was driving by today and decided to check it out. Comfortable spot with a clean modern feel. Couldnt stay long so ordered a coffee to go and, oh what are those but blueberry lemon scones? The owner was behind the counter and cheerfully greeting each visitor while masterfully preparing the coffee. Did I mention the awesome blueberry lemon scone? Encouraging neighbors and friends to support this new locally owned shop. :)
So far Ive only had their coffee, but I must say I love what theyre doing. They have tasty lattes, and the staff is super friendly. Havent been disappointed so far, and Im far more likely to patronize a tasty and friendly independent shop than a Starbucks, so long as they keep this up!
Grahams Coffee Parlor is an excellent and much-needed addition to Schenectady, providing a local coffee experience amidst the overcrowding of auto shops and chain businesses in the area. The inside is impeccably clean, with gorgeous art installations on the walls and a bright, welcoming atmosphere. There is some seating available for those who want to lounge, but it is limited seating, so dont expect to always find someplace to sit at its busiest times. Parking is also limited, but as long as you can find somewhere to safely park your car, go for it!The coffee itself is HEX coffee, and pastries are from Brimstone Bakery, also located in Upstate NY. The menu is varied, with a great offering of your basic coffee-and-espresso beverages (drip coffee, Chemex coffee, cold brew, lattes, etc.), with house-made syrups that taste a thousand times better than the bottled variety. They also fresh brew teas (they have a lot of flavors to choose from; also, they have matcha!), and make fresh-squeezed juices (like lemonade where you can add fruit puree), smoothies, and smoothie bowls. What I love most about this place is how much love has been put into both the store and the menu. I feel welcome when I come in, I am able to ask questions without feeling disruptive -- as everyone is incredibly friendly and willing to help -- and there is a lot of customization available as well, just in case there is something that you may not prefer. I also appreciate that everything is as fresh as possible. Like I said above, the syrups, juices, and smoothies are house-made, so you know every ingredient that goes into them (sugar, vanilla, water for vanilla syrup; lemons and a nice surprise of fresh-squeezed apple juice for lemonade, etc.). The coffee is delicious, the tea is amazing, and this place is an absolute treasure.
Hands down, best local coffee spot around. They also serve other beverages like smoothies and have a vitamix for juicing which is impressive. All the flavor syrups are made in house by the owner, Kat, who is adorable to say the least! She always has a smile and is very friendly and welcoming. I really respect the fact they have compostable to-go cups and re-usable stirrers. My only complaint is that I live on the other side of town from this lovely establishment but I would go out of my way anyday for a ginger bee latte & a bourbon pecan bar :oD keep up the good work girl!
Grahams Coffee Parlor is an absolute gem! The space is beautiful, the menu is thoughtfully curated, and the staff is always delightfully ready to make you an incredibly delicious drink over great conversation.Katryn, the proprietor, is veteran in the coffee and cafe industry, and you can tell an unbelievable amount of thought went into this place. She is knowledgeable, kind, and lovely -- you really feel like you are visiting a friend everytime you walk in.Do NOT miss out on Grahams, and if you are sitting there reading about it now, just go! You will not be disappointed and it will easily become your new favorite place in the Capital District.
Fell in love with this place the second I walked through the door! Katryn has created such a welcoming/cozy vibe here, and I truly think it’s a local gem! I’ve tried almost everything they offer, delicious coffee, killer juice/smoothies and unbelievably tasty baked goods & snacks. My favs are the Pistachio Latte & Day Glow juice! As an artist, I appreciate the time and talent that goes into these handcrafted beverages. You can tell she cares, as she chats with you about your day while making your special order. If you haven’t been here yet, I mean, what are you even doing with your life? (lol) Highly recommend for any coffee lover! You’ll be addicted 😋
Facebook knows me too well.... Always throwing coffee shops my way. Glad I followed up on this one! Im usually a black coffee/espresso drinker, but when I read that they make their own ginger syrup for the Ginger Bee Latte? No brainer. I will be doing that again soon. Plus, its got a very cool vibe & decor. Thanks for being awesome!
Always drove by but never had the opportunity to stop in. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner today very pleasant and professional and the coffees that she produces are outstanding put Starbucks to shame! Me and my wife will certainly stop by again thank you so much
Absurd wait time. Ordered online 20 minutes before arrival waited 40 minutes outside for coffees. Watched people pull up, order get food and coffee. They came out asked the name three times but just could not seem to finish the order. No there was no real rush. Pathetic.

2022-06-10Fresh and delicious, but keep in mind that the veggie cream cheese is GARLIC veggie cream cheese, amazingly good for a garlic lover like me, but enough to ward off vampires too. Also had the hot pepper scone which is unlike any scone Ive ever had....it was soft and buttery, almost biscuit like, Id go back just for that. The food menu may be small, but that allows them to make great coffee and really fresh treats.

2021-08-20I loved Grahams Coffee Parlor! The interior is so well thought out and designed and the homemade blends are to die for. Really really enjoyed the Ginger-Bee and the Pistachio Latte. Come on in! Caterine and Zach were enthusiastic and lovely to interact with. Great place!

2022-01-17The customer service as soon as you walk in has you feeling like youre a regular at Grants coffee parlor. Im on a mission to try Cold Brew wherever I can and its safe to say that Ill be stopping back here for more. The Acai bowl was great and the scone made it a perfect ending to breakfast. Im glad to know that theres a coffee shop nearby, past the 3 Dunkins and 4 Starbucks that I passed, that makes me excited to support local!

2021-12-31I stopped here for the first time today. It has beautiful decorations and feels very welcoming. I got a latte (with a flavor shot), a bourbon pecan blondie and a bagel with a black walnut cranberry cream cheese, which is what made my order a bit more expensive. They have more flavors of cream cheese than most places so it was difficult choosing but I’ll have to come back to try the other flavors. Overall I would say it was very worth the price, everything was delicious, and the employees all seemed happy to be at work!

2022-03-26Incredible staff and delicious coffee. I had a pistachio latte and it was amazing. I dont usually like super sweet flavored coffees, but this was so balanced and delicious (and dont worry, if you do like things sweeter, they can absolutely satisfy your sweet tooth as well!). I will definitely be back!!

2022-04-20This is one of my all time favorite coffee spots. The food and drinks are delicious. The seasonal drink flavors and homemade (I think) cream cheese is the way to go. There is something for everyone here - tea, coffee, bagels, sweets, smoothies and more. Plus, great vibes!
