This is my go-to spot for their location, variety of massage techniques and customer service. I’ve received the Thai combo stretching massage, hot stone and the Swedish massage. All great! The massage therapists are cheerful and accommodating to your preferences. The grand central location is perfect for travelers wanting to relax after trekking around the city or helping with jetlag.
I had the best deep tissue massage I have ever had, and it was combined with a thai massage. My therapist really knew how to get deep into my knots. The Thai massage had nice stretching—I felt like Gumby after. She found knots that I didn’t even know existed. All I know is by the end of the session, I felt so great and relaxed. I don’t remember the last time I felt this good. They’ve made a regular customer out of me now. The spa and service are beautiful as well. Highly recommended!
We opted for the deep tissue couples massage - they kindly let us make a last minute booking over the phone and it was some of the best money Ive spent in New York. God damn, Nolan and Sidney (we think? sorry!!) were fantastic.. we felt great when we left and would definitely recommend.
We had a great massage that consisted of the best couples massage I have ever had in NY, free champagne service, chocolates, and they took a nifty print out photo for us too. The spa experience was so relaxing, and everyone really took care of us here. We will defintily be back.

Perfect anniversary/birthday/Valentine’s Day present! I wanted to take my gf for a couples massage for her birthday. Most other places were either completely booked up or too out of my price range, but Grand Central bodyworks was not too pricey and very flexible with scheduling. For our first time getting a professional massage, the therapists at Grand Central Bodyworks did not disappoint. They were very accommodating for us first timers, attentive to any sensitivities and extremely thorough in the massage. My entire back had never felt so good before, and the general atmosphere of our massage room was incredibly relaxing once they started the massage. THEY EVEN SURPRISED US WITH BIRTHDAY CHAMPAGNE AND CAKE!!!! I would definitely recommend Grand Central Bodyworks to anyone looking for a great massage (or an amazing couples gift!).

One of the most effective deep tissue massages I have had. They are located in an office building so it is not atmospheric, but if you don’t care about that and just want a really excellent and effective massage, this is the place.

This was me and my boyfriend’s first massage here in new york and it was simply the best massage experience we could have asked for! We took 1 hour deep tissue thai/combination massage. We had 2 female masseuses who paid special attention to the areas we told them to (back, legs). She even extra stretched me for the knots in my back that were causing stress. The room was lovely and they even gave us free champagne! I’m so coming back for the quality of massage and affordable price! 10/10 recommend!

The staff was amazing and really went out of the way to make sure that me and my friends were relaxed and comfortable before everything started. The masseuse was extremely knowledgeable and skilled. Excellent couples massage experience overall! There were some nice little surprises included, such as champagne (I won’t give them all away). Everything was very professional and meaningful, including targeting our problem areas and periodically checking on whether the pressure was too much or too little. This is definitely on the pricey side, but you definitely get what you pay for, and I’ll definitely be a return customer.
I am a dancer, a nurse, a Survivor, a caregiver, and all around doer; my body has been through A LOT! I have never had a massage before and I will never be the same afterwards. My boyfriend booked us a couples massage for my birthday. This was my first time to GC Bodywork and his first time getting a massage, ever. The ladies were so kind to us and made it a beautiful experience! We walked into the room and they had decorated it with balloons, beautiful flowers, chocolates, and champagne! We were very happy with the level of communication they provided in asking us about trouble areas and checking in that the pressure was to our comfort. The massages themselves were great - mine, hot stone; his, deep tissue. Definitely the best massage Ive had in a loooong time! After they finished and we were dressed, the ladies brought in a slice of red velvet cake with a candle and they sang me happy birthday. I was so surprised and excited!! That level of service was beyond what Id ever experienced at a spa. I would recommend GC Bodywork over and over again!

I have come here several times, most recently today for a couples massage with my girlfriend. The massage was fantastic all around!The room is very comfortable and clean, and the massage has been consistently good every time. The staff is friendly and follows any instruction such as pressure or areas to focus on.We also appreciated the champagne and chocolate, which is included in couples massage :)Overall very happy with the service and will definitely be returning!

At first I was thrown off by the office building, but the staff was very friendly and professional. The atmosphere in the room was relaxing and the massage was high quality. From the hot towels to the champagne, it was a very relaxing experience and I plan to go again.

I came here with my boyfriend for our one year anniversary. It was an absolutely pleasing experience. We were brought to an aromatic room with beautiful decorations full of balloons, warm lightings, and zen music. Then we were served with chocolate and champagne to enjoy before the massage. There is also a complimentary polaroid picture as a souvenir. The massage was amazing with 3 different options to choose from: Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Thai Combination. The masseuse made sure we are comfortable and specifically tackled our tired areas. The staffs were all very considerate and caring. I flew to new York for my birthday and booked a couples massage. The room was romantic, and they provided sweets and champagne! The massage was deep and could feel it the next day too. Good relaxing music, and super friendly staff. I would return and recommend. Prices were very reasonable

I had a very bad pain on my whole body regarding to my career. So i was recommended to come here by my good friend. At first i thought it could be like a lightly massage but i really need something that very intensive to make my pain goes away but whatever i just give it a try. When i got to the place... it was very nice and clean place more than I expected and the location is in the center of transportation that is Grand Central!! Amazing aroma that really relaxing me while i was getting a massage by a guy who is very nice and polite. He did really good job and always asked me how i feel and which part that i needed to be treated. His massage was intensive but not too hard which was perfect!!! I felt my body so relaxing and light after i had this body work. I was so happy and definitely will go back again at least once week. Oh also the price was reasonable compared to the area and service. Recommended!!!
Clean environment, good decor, professional Thai massage. Very decent place. A friend recommended it, and we went for a walk-in session. We were immediately accommodated (fortunately the staff were not busy at that time). Actually they allow you to book online, which in my opinion is more efficient than calling to make a reservation!
I made an appointment for a “couple’s massage” for my friend and myself as a bachelorette gift. Grand Central Bodywork was so accommodating. The room was filled with balloons, champagne, and chocolates. We even had little floral crowns and got a Polaroid picture taken together. The massages were great and my friend had an amazing time. I’m so thankful to this massage place for making her day so special. I will definitely be coming back again soon! If you have a special occasion I definitely recommend speaking to them about it. They will not disappoint. Also very clean establishment and friendly! Payment process was also very easy and smooth.
I just had a great Thai massage here. I had knots all over my back and Ann didnt give up until I was well taken care of. Her pressure was strong and exactly what my back needed. This was the best Thai massage in nyc I have had. The rooms are very nice and private, and I enjoyed my experience. My experience was great, I got a prenatal 90 min massage. Totally relaxed me completely although by the next day my back was back to feeling sore. My husband got a Swedish/deep tissue massage and did not enjoy it at all, he was actually sore the next day because of how hard the lady was massaging him. He was not relaxed and did not leave relaxed. I really suggest the prenatal massage though ! It was a great experience and an amazing environment in the spa, smells amazing, all of the workers are nice and they comfort you before starting massages.
SUCH a great experience. It’s a little hard to find as there are no signs and you have to sign in with a doorman, but once you get upstairs you can feel the ambiance right away. I’ve had two massages here and each time, the rooms have been absolutely gorgeous with really relaxing music. The women are all so friendly and very attentive.Would highly recommend!

I recently moved to the area and was seeking a massage therapist. I have been having massage weekly for over ten years and my massage therapist moved out of state. After many trials with many therapists I found Vicki at Grand Central Body Work. The place is clean, brightly lit and decorated, professional, fair priced for NYC, and an absolutely great massage. I can’t say enough great things about this place. Go, heal, and enjoy.
I ordered a massage by phone, and I got a price. But when I got there, they charged me a mandatory 20% tip, which I thought I paid enough for my massage, I didnt think they should be getting an extra tip. The tip cost me an extra $60. Had I known in advance that they will charge me, then I wouldnt have booked the massages.
Excellent service. I called in late on a Friday night and despite that they accepted to give me a one hour appointment immediately. The person who attended me was named Rose and was very caring and careful, trying hard to ease the discomfort in some muscles. The ambience in the room was serene and soothing. I recommend the service highly. I felt so much better upon leaving than at entering.
My friend went to this place after having tremendous back pains. She’s had back issues for years, has multiple bumps on her back, and works in a job that strains her muscles a lot. After only 30 minutes she felt a massive difference in her posture, lack of tension, and energy level. The guy who massaged her was also very nice and asked if he was putting too much pressure or not (he wasn’t!). Well definitely come back again !
I came here because of my friend, she was here before and she had a Thai Massage, she recommended me to come. I just had a chance today and I had a deep tissue massage because my back was pretty tight and had a lot of knots, and the therapist was amazing. He was pretty strong and he knew what I wanted after I told him. The room had a nice smell too.

I had a house call for the first time. The massage therapist was amazing, friendly and very nice, and I was so relax both during and after. Only thing was I thought they gonna come with the massage bed but they didn’t and it was kinda awkward at first to use my own bed lol overall, it was a great experience and definitely recommend to anyone.

Teddy is quite experienced and friendly, and I left their shop feeling relieved of all the pains and aches I was having in my neck and shoulders. Booked a couple’s sports’ massage at last minute. Excellent massage, relaxing and tailored to pain areas. The place is in the middle of the action but still felt secluded from the hustle and bustle of the city. Felt like stress evaporated and the service was excellent. Highly recommend
My shoulders have been tight and really uncomfortable for a few days but last night, the pain kept me up and the normal rolling, heat, and stretching wouldn’t help. I was pretty desperate after spending most of my night wide awake in extreme discomfort so I looked for a massage place near my office that could offer release in 30 minutes. Rose was my answer. I called grand central bodywork to see if they could fit me in and walked in 10 minutes later. I explained my pain and they recommended the deep tissue massage. I was concerned it would be too painful but it was exactly what I needed. I felt immediate relief from the massage which was just the right amount of pressure. The tension in my shoulders is gone and I feel so much better. I will very happily return to see Rose again!

I hurt my neck and have been having horrible pain and the message therapist Chang did an excellent job finding the problem area and focusing on it. He was professional and great at what he does. You can find anything in midtown. Decided I needed a massage (my first), and a deep tissue one. Decided to go with Grand Central Bodywork based on the decor and pricing. Was COMPLETELY satisfied with the experience. They fit me in on extremely short notice and also made sure I had my full 30 minutes. I just flew into LaGuardia. Sore and tight as heck. Looked up this place on the web and booked an appointment for 90 minutes later. So glad that I did! I really needed it and it was one of the best massages ever. Alin was my massage therapist and she was awesome!
If only I could give ZERO stars. My appoint was this past Thursday 4/4. I get to the building on time, ask security what floor it was on because that was never mentioned in any email to me. He said 7th, I go upstairs and all I see is an empty desk. I walk around into the other offices and asked somebody if this was the correct floor. She said yes but that she didnt know the room. I then called the number that s on google and email confirmation and the lady over the phone said shell be right there. 2 minutes later she comes out of the staircase to lead me up to the 8th floor. I thought to myself how unprofessional and disorganized this was. My appointment was for a deep tissue massage. It really just ended up being an intense swedish massage. The ladys technique (her name was jenny) was awful. She didnt take her time to massage different parts of the body. She mostly concentrated the pressure on my back and shoulders. 3 days later and I am still unable to sleep well. I have a doctors appointment because now my back pain is 10x worst. Do not go here if youre looking for quality and professionalism, especially for those of you who are athletic or going in due to previous trauma such as a broken bone. What a waste of time and money.

2022-07-27Grand Central Bodywork is a great place where you will get a wonderful and high quality massage!! I opted for couples massage. I enjoyed the massage!! Good atmosphere, nice music, friendly staff. Also, my husband and I were treated to champagne and sweets, it was very nice!! You can also choose from other types of massage. You can buy a gift certificate for a massage session, for example, for a birthday!!

2022-02-13Had an amazing experience here at this location. I came here and did the couples massage over the weekend for Valentine’s Day. Definitely worth the money. The staff was very nice and patient. The massage therapist that had me was very kind and gentle with me during my massage, always checking to make sure that I was ok. The workers bring a very warm welcoming environment. I definitely felt very relax and will definitely come back if ever I’m in the city again.

2022-05-07The best couples massage in NY we have ever had! From the champagne, to the amazing service, this spa will pamper you like no other. We got a hot stone massage. The therapists were so attentive and asked us how the pressure was. The spa was beautiful and we had a perfect time. We will definitely be back for our anniversary. Cute balloons too.

2022-02-19Honestly was worth every penny. My boyfriend and I got the couples massage and the room was decorated beautifully. The two women gave have us the massage were very polite and considerate. The massages felt amazing as well. The room had dimmed lights and they played relaxing music. Highly recommend to ANYONE!

2021-11-09Amazing experience for my wife’s birthday and they really did think of everything! Cake, champagne and they even blew up nearly 30 balloons to help celebrate. 5 / 5 and highly recommend for any couple massage enthusiasts!

2022-05-29Excellent A+ Booked on their website and received a confirmation reminder text which was great. Super friendly at their front desk, filled out the forms, and then went on to get my massage. The pressure was exactly to my liking, kind of felt like it was modified just for me. I do get treatment quite often and I know I will definitely be back here and make it my go to place in Manhattan!

The Grand Central location is super convenient as well. Oh, and the deep-tissue massages make me feel like a brand new woman every time.The Grand Central location is inside an unassuming building that has a Midtown-office feel to it, but don’t be fooled; you’re about to get the royal, VIP treatment.Run, don’t walk to Grand Central Bodywork. 2022-07-08Booked a 1 hour couple massage and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were greeted with champagne and the massage therapists were pleasantly professional. We’ll definitely be coming back!One thing to note is that the actual location was on floor 6 even though the sign-in said floor 7—you might have to call.

2022-05-12I fully enjoyed this massage and spa. Very clean, quiet and professional. Price is a little steep for an hour, but it was well worth it. I dont see myself see doing it often at this location due to the price, but I will definitely treat myself every now and again
